Don't laugh. I'd bet these "awards" have made a lot of money for a lot of folks over the years. Post news of an award. DDers make heavy weather out of it. All sorts of conjecture and speculation backed up by absolutely no facts whatsoever. Newbies and Koolaid drinking 'Oids, jump in with both feet and big money. Price goes up. Smart, long time 'Oids, short the bejesus out of the stock, which then plummets, and they cash in.
I'm In!!!
Expatriate, This is in response to your post on the other board. First, as someone who has been invested in Wave and watching these boards for 15+ years, allow me to say I have appreciated your posts over the years, as being informed, informative, and straightforward/unbiased. Thank you.
Now, could you help this non-techie understand what you just wrote a little better? I think you say, more or less, that TPM is far from the silver bullet solution we had hoped it was, and it is only marginally better than software solutions, and can be hacked. But, isn't the benefit over software, that with TPM you would have to hack each individual machine, whereas with software, as soon as you got entry past the safeguards, you have access to 1000s of machines? This has always been my understanding anyway, so any clarification would be helpful. Thanks
Will somebody out there please buy something from Wave?! Bill Gates, now you do a lot of charity work, right? Even though you don't need any Wave software, you could buy a couple hundred million of the stuff, and just throw it away, and you'd never even notice a blip in your checking account. Yet, do you have any idea how many people you could make happy with such a charitable gesture? Paul Allen? Anyone one you Goggle billionaires? C'mon guys/gals...help change the lives of 20,000 people or more. You'll feel good about it, and it may be tax deductible as charity.
Indeed. Finally, everyone is completely exhausted from beating this dead horse, and they are just sitting back waiting for any sales....
Yeah, that's unfortunately what I thought; It can't, and therefore there is no compelling reason to buy Wave software.
TP, "...Wave has products to prevent every kind of security breech mentioned in this article". Is that a fact from a technical standpoint? I'm not a techie, but I always hear Wave can prevent "a lot of" of this, or "some" of that, for "most" of the time, but not reliably 100% of the time, etc. etc. So I always think that is maybe why we can sell the stuff....it isn't a compelling purchase for anyone, for any one good reason. Hope I'm wrong, and I'd appreciate any response you care to give. Thanks
back up the truck, baby, there will never be a better buying opportunity than now...don't miss out!!
This has got to be some sort of joke...it has to be! All this buildup, and all we get is another non-revenue partner??? You must be "s"n me!! Doen't Solms know that "partner" in Waveland means we failed again? This is worse than "June is ours" and the February ticking clock...combined!!!
Just what Wave needs....another partner....yeesh!! By my last count, I think we had 43 of them, and I don't know if any one of them has produced $1.00 of revenue. It's like a man, looking/dying for 17 years for a woman to be romantic with him, and all they keep saying is "look, I think you are a really, really, really great guy...I mean a GREAT guy, but I just don't feel that way about you, sorry"
"Dad, you said we'd be there by now...you promised! Are we there yet?"
Agree. Based on the SP, it looks like absolutely NOTHING is about to happen.....bupkis....nada....zippo....
I hope it is a duck, rather than us needing to "duck" like we usually do.
This whole count down to 7/22 business, feels eerily similar to the countdown to February something, 12 or 13 years ago. And when we got to the special date amid much speculation, anticipation, conjecture, and wishful/hopeful thinking.....nothing happened. If that happens this time, I wonder how low the SP will sink.
I dunno....I sure hope this new product launch is different than....KidCard/Lego, WaveXpress, Scrambls, SignOnLine, IshopHere, etc. But right now, it looks exactly the same....words from Wave, more words from posters, and BUPKUS for revenues/contracts....love to be wrong....but what is different this time than "June is Ours" or the countdown clock to February (2000 or 2001...I forget), when ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENNED. Newbies, all I am saying is, for my sake, please invest in Wave, but for your sake, just be very careful.
2014 ASM = "Smoking the crack pipeline"
there were 2 reverse splits...
Very good points! But don't forget about Wave's relationship with ReturnsAtLast, Inc., distributor and reseller of all things Wave, which to my knowledge, is the only one of 67 such companies Wave has similar agreements with, that has actually sold something. That was the recent placement of an order for 200 Wave coffee mugs. We're on our way baby!!!
Here's some perspective for all of the happy-faced newbies jumping into this now, full of hopes and dreams. I WAS YOU 17 YEARS AGO! I was about 45 when I first plunked down my hard earned money on good old Wave. My only child at that time was our 1 year old boy, we hadn't yet started building our house, and our marriage was cruising along nicely. Now I'm 62, in addition to my son I have a 13 year old daughter, and my now 18 year old son just graduated from high school. I'm divorced from the "bride", she basically got the 3500 square foot house we began building in 1998, and I'm holed up in a low rent, 670 sqaure foot condo. And if you divide 62 years by 17, you realize Wave has been a part of my life, along with names like Snackman and Barge, for 27% of my existence on planet Earth.....and, like I said, I'm out about $100,000. You have to laugh at this because, if you can't, you start looking for a rope and a light fixture! (laughs!)
Kis, LOL! Just for clarification, is that $0.10/share current money or adjusted for all the splits? If it's present money, I think you would have to divide by 12 to get the real worth which would be $0.0083/share. I'll tell you one thing, I've gotten more laughs out of posting and reading posts on this board. Glad I'm getting something for my 100 Grand original investment. Ha, Ha, Ha. Enjoy your weekend.
"Get 'em guys while they are cheap". I knight thee "armstjo1 the Wavoid! You made the conversion in only one day!!
Over the last 18 years we, in Waveland (called Wavoids), have called these dips "Buying opportunities". Welcome aboard!!
Thank you for those 2 posts.
ncb, I know Your question was not directed at me, but I was wondering if I could respectfully ask you a question about your inquiry. Since the announcement you posted was over a year old (February 2013), is there anything in particular that has happened recently, that I might have missed, which might make that announcement relevant currently? Thanks for any response.
They could have really shortened that announcement by just saying:
HELP US!!!! IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP US SELL THIS S--T??!! WE'LL PAY YOU ANYTHING!! WE'VE TRIED EVEYTHING, FROM HIRING NEW SALES DYNAMOS TO FIRING AND REPLACING THE CEO, AND NOTHING HAS WORKED!!! WE'RE DYING OVER HERE! HELP US PLEASE!!!
Target?
There have been many "killer applications" over the last 17 years. I remember the Lego killer application which cost me about $10,000. From what I recall, the market place had determined that they didn't want the Embassy chip but, by that time, Wave had a ton of them already manufactured and stored in their warehouse (otherwise known as Mikey's basement, where the young computer scientist had many genius epiphanies such as TVTonic and Scrambls). So it was decided to use those chips as a kind of silicon Lego, and sell them as kits like Erector Sets, when we were kids. Well, it turned out to be a "killer app" alright...it killed another $10,000 of my retirement money which would have come in handy right about now.
Noteworthy: A bottom of this stock has been declared! With the implication that those who don't buy now, could miss out on an explosion that could happen overnight.
Why is this noteworthy? Because it has been at least 2 weeks since such a proclamation has been made, whereas over the last 17 years, they have been made approximately every 10 days, and I am out about 100 grand relying on such statements (never said I was smart).
Speculation??
"Scrambls will be introduced in the next few weeks. If successful, the revenues from Scrambls will dwarf all other income coming into Wave.
The secret to Scrambls are the KEYS. The company that holds the keys, owns the kingdom. What would $1.00 per month, per individual bring in as revenues? Don't even guess. To have the keys for consumer media, consumer content, companies virtually having their own private conversations through Scrambls, the numbers are unreal. Is it possible that Scrambls could be so successful, that it could be bought for 10 figures? Don't laugh: we could be looking at a monster. And the best this is, Scrambles will only cost around a million dollars. Look for the introduction in the next few weeks."
Guess who posted the above on April 21, 2012, after his own private conversation with the former CEO? My goodness....
Snackman, Thank you for your advice via PM (which I don't have)to load up now or miss the boat. I'm loading up today!!!
I'm kind of hoping they do maybe one more reverse split, so I can get in really low!!
Just checked....Extrapolating for the 2 reverse splits, it appears WAVX is, in fact, now within only points from being the lowest share price (or highest "value") it has ever been!! Back up the truck!!!!
This long is thinking that we'll never see bargain prices like this again, and now is the time to load up and average down!
I'm in stealth mode....like the money that used to be my wallet.
SKS is a genius.
