You are going to look a little silly with a giant pecker placed in a stool on your front lawn don't you think?
Same in NY state as CA. Man I can't move to FL fast enough.
Wow that headline is so misleading. Almost trying to tarnish the BB, but when you read the article(I admit I did not) you see the move they made was a spectacular one into AMRN versus where they were. Thanks for the clarification.
Yeah but lets think about this another way. Lets say they bailed on that stock to buy AMRN before Reduce-it read out then what would you think?
Yes Europe is one item that could be a big play for us in a shorter term, because as you state there should be quite a few interested parties. I assume after they release practice changing data in March and possibly submit application. That the offers to be a partner would increase quite a bit. However, this could happen as soon as this week or next? Things should start to get really interesting soon with the recent PPS support, the increase in institutional holdings, and we are fast approaching 6 months post Reduce-it where I always believed things would start to gain traction. Part of me actually hopes you are right on, but we shall see as this is an extremely valuable once in a lifetime drug that may not market react like it predecessor's.
I see many posts around agreeing with your view of a BO before SNDA filing and you could be right as I'm no biotech expert. However IMO I would think the company wouldn't even fathom a BO until later this year when they have a few more notches under there belt.
SNDA filed and label change applied. I agree with JL and many others on an expedited review.
Further increase in size of sales force and scripts acceleration through the hockey stick and climbing rapidly.
More published data mining.
If I remember correctly TEVA does not even become competition until late 2029 which still allows the company to get a very favorable offer with 10 years of product life.
With all this said I am in the same situation as golfstud and would prefer to wait to get a better valuation, but am of the same belief as JL that they may not sell. Perhaps they will be successful to out price generic competition keeping the dream alive past ten years and I don't see any new drug competition for quite sometime. I am also a realist and believe that there is a number out there that will get enough of a shareholder approval to sell the company. We shall see.
"1. General public ( and some doctors ) may think it is fish oil. Fish oil studies have inconclusive results for treatment of cardiac disease."
Yes this point is mute as we have our own study called Reduce-it which the company is educating mostly doctors and the public.
"2. Public may buy OTC Omega 3 supplements thinking it mimics the effects of Vascepa."
Well according to the warning letters sent out by the FDA there will be alot less of them to choose from in the future.
"3. Amarin is a small biotech and the price of the stock is easily manipulated."
Really TY Captain Obvious the idea is buy and hold and know what you own as the company executes.
"4. Historically, FDA has mistreated Amarin in a variety of circumstances. It is an open question if the FDA has an actual bias against Amarin."
Have you seen the Reduce-it results mentioned earlier and the FDA warning letters going out to DS companies. There is no ill will here just results that will be fast tracked, because the bottom line is it is all about saving/extending lives that of which the FDA cannot deny.
"5. Vascepa is recognized as a game changing drug – a paradigm shift in treatment of cardiac disease. Paradigm shifts can take time. Thomas Kuhn- who is credited with the concept of a paradigm shift- recognized this and postulated that "It usually takes a long time to effect a paradigm shift - often as much as 20 years." Amarin does not have 20 years of patent protection."
You site data from many years ago from when statins first came on the market and much education was needed in a non-electronic age. Have you heard of the internet? With Vascepa's results equal to or greater than the effect of statin's instead of 20 I give it 2 years maybe less to become a standard of care.
I know I am going to get flack for saying this, but I would say FFS cup and handle call is playing out better than AF call for 12. Just saying. Let's see where it goes from here raf, PE, Bolio, and marzan.
There were two as oneragman stated it was FlyFishingStocks and Lidopete if memory serves me correct.
Cardio,
Not sure if this will help but you could contact Amarin and have them bird dog him. Also don't forget to mention the Ascend trial where lovaza was a failure. Just a thought.
Yep still impressed and waiting to see how it plays out no matter of past results. Only going forward matters and the direction it goes and if I learn something along the way all the better.
The day and the week are not over yet lets see what happens.
I assume you are calling for this since the stock closed the gap from 17.78 to 18.00 twice but failed to continue on? I gathered this info from reading your earlier posts. Just trying to understand TA. All in all it is very interesting to see how it plays out.
Wow great call and post on the bull flag false break out down only to climb higher pattern that you posted a while back. I give credit where credit is due and you saw this one coming. I am more impressed with this call over JL's call for the Pats to win. Even as I believe JL is correct I just don't make as much money following his superbowl prediction.
No I am not looking at his analysis but in the lower left hand corner the pattern example that he used to create his analysis. I should have been more clear in that I am starting to believe this pattern could become a reality with a false breakout lower only to reverse direction. Again just my opinion and I found it interesting that we are following the pattern example somewhat closely.
Didn't mean to insinuate you agreed either, but found it interesting that you thought the high volume reversal was something to note meaning not the norm for this stock during a beat down.
I am going to go out on a limb here and publicly state I am starting to believe in FFS Symmetrical Triangles: Example in the post I am replying to.
I wanted to get it in before Marzan does, but it does feel and look like this could be a false breakout lower as stock is indeed acting different than in the past during the beat downs we have become so accustom to. Even AF noted the strong buying at 16 for todays reversal.
I am not a TA guy and I am not one of the BOB's just my opinion that something feels different. I guess we will see how this week plays out and I maybe a little early but I figure it is time to throw FFS a bone.
Stop looking down and you will stop seeing a little red one.
I stand corrected hello flame number two. No2020little.
The only flame here was the FNG(no2little).
Oh well as usual spoke to soon. I blame it on the 18 dollar call buyers expiring this Friday. Some people never learn.
No need to be scared just stay away from mirror's and you will be fine.
My how things have changed from back in the day, because I can remember when these PR's use to send the stock in the opposite direction. What a welcome change from the old days to be able to sit back relax and watch this baby fly.
Thank you for posting,
Moderators can we please remove the off topic political posts.
No it's not "Honkerin Down" it's called "Bearin Down" probably want to put something soft in your mouth to protect your teeth and get ready for the AMRN shaft that is coming. Enjoy
Do we know if there are any more big money options expiry coming after this Friday?
Just playing around with you, but I do believe you could be write. Every time there is big option money to me made they keep it down all week.
Nice Call but not surprised by your track record.
One of these times you will be right.
Look no further than the bottom of the glass you are drinking that Kool-Aid
from.
BioBillioniar has all the patent links perhaps he can post them for you. I am also working the day job reading with an occasional post and since I don not have a membership here I cannot search posts for the info you are looking for.
Yes they have a combo patent for each and everyone of them.
Please do not follow QTR he was so wrong about the science back before reduce-it it was not even funny.
Back in the day he put out hit pieces and bad mouthed the stock to no end and he was laughed at by many hear. In comments to his articles and on the old yahoo message board. He could never understand the science.
Also not a good investment tool at all for that matter just a tool is best to describe him.
Also once you prove him wrong he just blocks you and deletes your response a total tool.
I am going with AZN strength trial interim look was not so good. So they are now talking to AMRN.
My reasoning is the continued comments by JT on wishing them well.
Well if this is you day job it appears you aren't working anymore.
We do not need to hear about the inadequacy of your portfolio or it's short comings.
Psea,
I have brought this up before with the board. I think it is a price thing as PharmEPA is a little more but I agree with you a better product than Omega Via.
Ok if the 3 grams in the morning was all at once then the amount of DHA and fishy rancid oil will add up and could most definitely cause those fishy burps. I only ever took 1.5 grams at a time of Omega Via when I took it. I have a few time with Vascepa taken 3 grams at once when I missed a dose but never had fishy burps.
Ok you noticed differences when taking Omega Via versus Vascepa as did I for the better when taking Vascepa. I noticed smaller things like less gunk in my eyes upon waking in the morning and through out the day, but never had dry eye like some describe here. Yes a definite improvement in skin softness and elasticity meaning no more dry or red skin that was more susceptible to cracking or peeling. Perhaps the biggest thing I noticed was in my daughter who suffers from ADHD and her grades were suffering and now they have improved significantly to a 95 average and on principles list for the first time ever and man was she proud about it. Also she would at least 3 to 5 times a year get something called stomach migraines which oddly enough start out like a stomach bug with massive pain and vomiting and then go into a migraine headache and would last for like 4 to 5 days. Now after a year on Vascepa no more stomach migraines and by the way she did get them when she was taking Omega Via. She only takes 2 grams a day.
Glad to here great stories like yours.
Were you taking 4 grams. When I tried it I was only taking 2 to 3 grams but did not have fishy burps but had an LDL-C raise due to the DHA in Omega Via.
Lidopete,
I am glad to hear you are in good health also another member of this board reported the same thing. I think it was FlyFishingStocks.
Thank you for sharing your story and such good news.
Please keep us posted.
One question is you state Vascepa did it. Did you notice any difference when on Omega Via. FYI, I am one of the believers that Omega Via cannot do what Vascepa can.
concapk,
I hope you don't mind me asking where in upstate NY as I live in Hilton NY just outside of Rochester.
Thank You in advance,
I think the 400 hire is just to get us from point A to Point B which is Kowa out and our sales force in conserving money but still making a dent in new patients until label change, increased insurance coverage etc.. I think after that it will be either BO or ramp up the sales force to cover all docs not just the 50% highest prescribers. We will get our answer sometime in 2019.
