I like what I'm seeing here...hopefully we can return to the 2.20's today. SS1
Would have been OK with a second dip to the 1.70's to spur the institutional owners back into the game in my humble opinion. SS1
Agreed. There may be a silver lining here so it's a day watching closely to check the calm after the storm.
Risk, I think they're getting hemp from China? I like the idea of the international exposure but would definitely like to see exports from the US verses imports to the US! That equates to jobs here...another win. Good luck today. Cheers, SS1
Pikachu,
Contrarian views are always important in these forums in my opinion--it helps keep balance in the feng shui. I think if we post another gain today and there isn't a measurable profit taking effort afoot that drives the stock South at the end of the day, we could possibly see some 7-8 range action tomorrow if the stars aline. SS1
Hold a third day and hoping to see another run up to the 7- 8 range on Friday in my humble opinion. SS1
Lol! Boy I know that feeling. SS1
If it does, I'll be one of a few to add another 1,000 shares. IF tripling my investment in 10 months is the result, that's OK with me. SS1
Guess we'll see how this one plays out. Thanks for sharing.
Bought in today at $2 thinking it would bounce as well. With 91% institutional ownership, I think we'll get that once the initial panic resides. Hoping to add some more in the $1.90's or less if that opportunity presents itself. Not sure there were many short sellers here. Cheers, SS1
Interesting how ANR is looking more attractive by the week. Have added to my watch list based on the number of institutional investors and the reality it's been dropping so much. Anyone one out there have thoughts on the bottom here? My estimates are in the 4.90's at the moment and then I do the quants and additional DD for entry. Thanks, SS1
Thanks Chow...good article. SS1
Finn, great point about the plant's usefulness. I'm hoping the only source for HEMP is not China. Since I'm new to the stock, I have a lot of DD to do over the next few days. Thanks. SS1
Agreed. J.B. outlined some realities of the alternative fuels industry and GEVO which would be a lot hotter right now if it weren't for the evolution of fracking and increased oil production within the U.S. (my humble opinion). Hoping for a good day here but will be adding to my position at the lows today. Off to the day job! Cheers, SS1
Thanks Pit, back at you. SS1
Agreed. I think folks are looking for miracle cures and without the research it can definitely present some problems. One has to consider that everyone on the boards has not done their own DD on stock like HEMP and want to believe whatever they read if it leads them to gains on their investment. Sadly enough, I was one who dove right in based on qualitative analysis verses quantitative which led to me still holding some red streamers over the past few years as reminders not to make those mistakes again! Lol! Hindsight is 20/20 and if you're reading about the stock like HEMP with 100+ other posters each day there's a good chance you're late to the party unless your short or swing trading (multiple entries and exits). All just my humble opinion of course. SS1
With the medicinal qualities of hemp and things like chia seeds and quinah becoming matters of increased interest, I think you'll see a lot more coverage from established journals in my opinion. SS1
Thanks Anax. This is very helpful for a new investor in LQMT. Cheers, SS1
Yes, it's a difficult decision to make when you're in GEVO at a high and living through the gaps and lows. So you think it's headed to the .50's with all those institutional investors? That's an interesting position I could use some insight on being relatively new to this stock. Any positive things you see about it? Thanks. SS1
Chimer,
I Just went through that with another stock and it was a long 14 month wait. Since I'm new the GEVO I have my own DD to accomplish here but there could very well be some positive forecasts ahead in humble opinion. Let's hope the stars align and you get your investment and some. Cheers, SS1
In unison with your prior post on looking for an entry point back in, I see a positive earnings, a favorable ruling, and the reality this stock is 66% held by institutions as a very positive thing for the stock price. Those playing the short game may be in a sticky wicket is they aren't careful...that said, some of us holding for a higher price in the same if the shoes on the other foot. Cheers, SS1
Coool. Where can I find it here? Thanks, SS1
What do you feel will be a good reentry point? 4.10, 3.25, or less? Thanks, SS1
I did but I'm not seeing a definitive connection which is part of my personal strategy for investing. So is he a dentist with a passion for fitness or a CPA? I'm not seeing those answers in the stickies. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks. SS1
Thanks. Where? SS1
Did someone do DD on Francella's background? If not, I'll see what I can find. Thanks.SS1
Bank,
Not taking issue with you and I share your optimism on LVGI's new CEO (Francella). IMHO, it's a tad early to say the new CEO is doing an amazing job. It's all PR until the business plan bears some indication of success (retail versus institutional investors). As I see it (again just MHO), all the actions to date to set up this company were done before he officially signed on, if I'm not mistaken. After bankruptcy, spinning off Gear was a sound move. Now, this company has a good chance of surviving based on the entry on an initial, marketable product. Marketing will be key beyond the forums like this one. Timing and packaging is huge and as I said before, keeping the conversation that's typical of the proverbial "pump and dump" crowd is somewhat inconsequential if the business plan is sound if that makes sense. Again, just my humble opinion.
SS1
Thanks Driffic. Agreed. Cheers, SS1
Thanks Magikhandz. I for one appreciate you providing credible research here! One of a handful that do in my opinion. Cheers, SS1
Risk on, I think the charts indicative of the emotion and opinions JCP's got going right now. I've owned this stock for a long time, much like I have a few others based on the products and stores I buy from. with the retail sector in turmoil, I don't see JCP doing anything but dropping further until they can adequately address the opinions of their critics which may not be in time to save the company as we know it today. All my personal opinion of course.
As much as on-line retailers are redefining retail, there is an element of folks who still like heading to the mall and that transcends all generations.
The big question remains unanswered...they brought back Uhlman to revive the company but he clearly comes from the traditional retail mindset. How will he change the path we're on in a changing international retail environment driven by globalization and cross-border integration? How does JCP take advantage of the high speed on-line retail market while maintaining a brick and mortar presence in key locations? There's a ton of questions and investor might be thinking about right now and there's no good answers either. By itself, announcing they're closing 30 stores is a joke. That tells me as an investor. That announcement should've been fielded with a completely different strategy as it tells me they're looking at furthering their liquidation strategy.
Honestly, I cut my position in JCP in half two weeks ago and if the leadership doesn't get their sierra in one package soon, I'll most likely cut that in half again.
All my humble opinion for what it's worth. SS1
I like your thought process here. There's some good possibilities here if the current offering catches folk's attention. Would love to see their business plan. Cheers, SS1
Thanks Hook. My son-in-law is the lead AF recruiter in my area and avid gym rat. He and my daughter sell fitness and nutrition products through their own business and I've asked them to do some DD on the LVGI products as well. They know of Gear and have several friends involved in boxing and MMA. Will share more when I get their opinion on things. Cheers, SS1
Apostle,
In your opinion, will MSFT continue to ride it's past success and go the route of IBM and be forced to transform itself, or will they find a Jobs to help them redefine their future? Thoughts appreciated. Cheers, SS1
Hook,
Agree. What I like about LVGI is they have product, they have new leadership that is willing to take no compensation for the first 6 months, they've bought back half the shares in the field, and appear to have a decent business plan and strategy here. That's a whole lot better sight picture than I've seen in sub-penny stocks over the years of investing I've been involved with. Couple these products with a set of workout plans for various age groups and health goals for their customers and you have a winning combination in my humble opinion.
In reality and depending on how things develop over the next 6 months, this may be one of those very few opportunities (stocks) folks vacate their traditional pennyland investing strategy for and go long. That said, I definitely need to see more before i change mine. Cheers,
SS1
Thanks MiBi. I'll check them out. SS1
Really? Why don't you look at the LVGI chart like he/she's telling you. There are different investment approaches, and you should respect that in my humble opinion. Just my experience, but seasoned traders here and outside of iHub are usually concerned with their credibility. May I suggest you help people understand where you're coming from in a less excitable manner? You obviously have some keen insight and knowledge worth sharing in my humble opinion. Thanks, SS1
Thanks Magikhandz. I will say that being ranked in the 6-digits of E-Cigs is a little troublesome for me as I find it hard to believe there is over 400 different brands of E-cigs out there worldwide! Can you please elaborate on the ratings? Are those "hits" or responses? Thanks, SS1
Thanks MiBi. I didn't consider Fidelity but will take a look. Some of the houses have issues with sketchy stocks and I can appreciate that as a customer. However, when you're capped at what you can buy or sell in a day...that's a problem. Trying to but a 750K block of LVGI yesterday was challenge enough! Lol! Does Fidelity have caps in place? Thanks, SS1
LYN,
Just my opinion, but we needed this cool down to get the charts in order. Personally, I'm pretty jazzed about the next week or two watching SPLI reach new levels. Giddy-up! SS1
Tom,
That could be the difference in voltage (charging) requirement and packaging economics. In other words, my Vape won't charge in Europe (220v) with the charger I have in the kit I bought. You need a transformer or step down device to 110v. If SPLI is international, they may also package based on regional requirements to reduce their cost exposure and packaging costs if that makes sense. If someone living in Britain or Germany wanted my Vape set-up, they could just plug it in somewhere to charge it (plug and voltage properties are distinctly different). Just my opinion as to why there may be a mixed bag of products that would make us in the US wonder a little bit.
Cheers,
SS1
