Recent update from President:
With the recently announced heightened terror alert due to threats against domestic and international financial institutions based here in the United States, the unique safety and security capabilities of our advanced BVS2™ Platform, our Super Smart Card™ and our Super Smart Passport™ are needed now, more than ever, and the e-Smart team is making great progress in bringing our vital technologies to the world.
During the past month, the e-Smart marketing team has been in several countries in Asia, working on various projects, both government and commercial. While there can be no assurances as of yet, we anticipate that these efforts will result in more than one material contract, which if successful, we hope to announce in the near future.
Specifically, on July 21st, our team participated in a high level seminar in Beijing with our partners in China, the Ministry of Information Industry (MII). This extraordinary opportunity to present and demonstrate our revolutionary technology to the highest levels of government and commerce was an enormous success. More than two dozen of China’s top government and commercial representatives attended our seminar, including ranking persons from: The State Info-Office, Beijing Municipal Office of Information, The Ministry of Security, The Technology Bureau of the Ministry of Information Industry, The Immigration Bureau, Beijing Local Taxation Bureau, The Frontier Defense Bureau, China Construction Bank and China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd., to name just a few.
I must say that our Chinese partner did an extraordinary job to make this seminar a huge success. We are so honored to have such great partners in China. I believe our joint venture in China will be an amazing success in no small part due to the efforts and enthusiasm of our MII partner – not to mention the extraordinary capabilities of our BVS2™ Platform and Super Smart Cards™.
As announced, to date, besides our Cooperation Agreements signed with Daewoo International and Samsung SDS, we have signed a major revenue generating agreement in partnership with Samsung SDS and Kobile for a “Student Management Card” in Korea. This project calls for the installation and operation of the Company’s BVS2™ Platform and the issuance of the Company’s Super Smart Card™ to students, faculty and employees of participating learning institutions throughout Korea. We anticipate that deliveries will begin in October of this year and continue into 2005 until all participants are enrolled. Samsung SDS projects that this project will earn gross revenues of in excess of US$ 600 million over its first 6 years of operations alone (e-Smart receives roughly 50% of these revenues). This joint venture has a minimum life of 10 years.
Generated by the company’s press releases and talk among industry insiders, a growing number of industry publications, and radio organizations are beginning to recognize e-Smart’s accomplishments. In the last month, The Smart Card Group Newsletter, “e-Paymentsnews Network,” and “ID World” have run in their publications the company’s press release of the Student Management Card Project in Korea along with a photo of the proposed Smart Card.
Additionally, on July 15th, I was very pleased to be a guest on the George Putnam radio show KSPA – 1510a.m. in California and simulcast coast-to-coast via the Cable Radio Network, where I had the opportunity to discuss the applications of our Super Smart Card™ and Super Smart Passport™ as they relate to immigration and border security concerns.
For those who were unable to tune in, we are in the process of posting all media interviews on the company’s website.
As an aside, in my opinion, it is vital that the American people understand that technology is available today that will afford them the safety and security that today’s threats demand. Through these radio interviews and other news sources, I have the opportunity to have a dialogue with the American people - to reassure them that real protection is available through our technologies, yet despite its efficaciousness, there is no infringement of our treasured civil liberties.
We’ve passed the half-way mark of what is turning out to be a very successful year for the company and we are more optimistic than ever, looking forward to announcing the finalization of several projects currently in negotiations.
Through hard work and dedication our team is ever closer to bringing e-Smart’s technologies into our everyday lives and we can take great pride in knowing the world will be safer because of our efforts.

Bruce Springsteen: The River
I come from down in the valley
Where mister, when you're young
They bring you up to do like your daddy done
Me and Mary we met in high school
When she was just seventeen
We'd drive out of this valley down to where the fields are green
We'd go down to the river
And into the river we'd dive
Oh down to the river we'd ride
Then I got Mary pregnant
And, man, that was all she wrote
And for my 19th birthday I got a union card and a wedding coat
We went down to the courthouse
And the judge put it all to rest
No wedding day smiles, no walk down the aisle
No flowers, no wedding dress
That night we went down to the river
And into the river we'd dive
Oh down to the river we'd ride
I got a job working construction for the Johnstown Company
But lately there ain't been much work on account of the economy
Now all them things that seemed so important
Well, mister they vanished right into the air
Now I act like I don't remember
Mary acts like she don't care
But I remember us riding in my brother's car
Her body tan and wet down at the reservoir
At night on them banks I'd lie awake
And pull her close just to feel each breath she'd take
Now those memories come back to haunt me
They haunt me like a curse
Is a dream a lie if it don't come true
Or is it something worse
That sends me
Down to the river
Though I know the river is dry
That sends me down to the river tonight
Down to the river
My baby and I
Oh down to the river we ride
Question for board: When are 10QSB's due? If period ends 06/03/04 is the report due the sec by 07/31/04 or 08/30/04?
Thanks in advance.
Good morning and welcome to the board Mike2112.
LOL, Art, I remember doing that in Alabama as a kid! We also use to tie string around them and fly them like planes over our heads.
My buddies and I also use to have Stag Beatle battles to the death.
Ahhh, childhood. Now my kids just want an XBox and scream everytime an insect gets around them.
Keep an eye on Nanostocks over the next two weeks:

I have added a new stock to my retirement account: GELSTAT. A friend of mine received a private placement package and a sample of their new migrane medication. It worked wonders! Company will be performing a 3/2 stock split August 17th, ,2004. Currently working to get to the AMEX. Product will be carried at Ekhardt's Drugs to start.

Good Afternoon: I am reviving the ESMT board. It is my belief that this company will see exponential growth in the next three to four years. This is a long term stock with plenty of benefits in the works.
From this time forward I will post all relevant information on ESMT on this board. Although many of you probably do not follow this stock, I honestly think that in coming months we will see growth much like TASR. Of course, this is all my humble opinion, lol.
KERRY
Just was saying on the EZ board that this happened yesterday with CTKH. Lots of .003 crossed the L2 but, the ask and bid never changed from .0023 x .0021. Very weird.
Same thing happened with CTKH yesterday. Many sales at .003 when the bid and ask held at .0023 x .0021. Very strange.
ESMT: Friday's meeting went well. I had to sign a non-disclosure, so, I need to wait and find out what I can say and what I can not. Sorry for the delay.
CTKH: Weird. .002 x .0021 but selling and buying at .003. Anybody ever see this before? Volume went through the roof, about 2 and 1/2 times normal volume. Something good about to happen, or some mind games being played>
I will be meeting with the CTO of E Smart Technologies today for a demonstration on their smart card technology. Will share any information that they will allow to the group.
Have a great weekend everyone, sweltering in Tacoma.

Mass production of our Super Smart Card™. We anticipate first deliveries to commence in October with a build-up and full roll out of millions of pieces per month beginning in January 2005. The first fruit from the Master Teaming Agreement signed by e-Smart with Samsung SDS several months ago materialized last week with the execution and announcement of a joint project with Samsung SDS and private Korean company, Kobile, for the supply, implementation and operation of a “Student Management Card Project” in Korea. The Company has already made provision for the without recourse to the Company project finance necessary to implement this system with a major U.S. based financial institution. The feasibility study prepared for this project by Samsung SDS over the course of approximately twelve months, projects a very profitable business for our Company for many years to come. As previously stated, Samsung SDS has forecasted minimum revenues of in excess of US$ 600 million over the course of the first six years of operation alone. The project will commence upon the execution of final project finance and project documents.

ESMT Update:
CORPORATE:
Our excellent e-Smart team has been very busy during June in Asia. Because so much is going on and being finalized I waited as long as I could, until the end of the month, to get this newsletter to you, so I could give you more details about the agreements we have and are finalizing and other activities of the Company.
I am pleased to report that the Company’s accounting and legal team continues to do an outstanding job. Per discussions held with the SEC, we have filed a 10-Q on June 30, 2004, covering the “Quarterly Periods ended March 31, 2003 and March 31, 2002”. In connection with our Administrative Proceeding before the SEC, our legal team filed a Brief in Support of the Petition for Review on June 9, 2004 and submitted a Motion for Oral Argument on June 18, 2004. Although no assurances can be given as to the outcome, we and our full legal team are doing all in our power to resolve this matter successfully and promptly with the SEC for the benefit of you, our shareholders.
ASIA IC CARD FORUM – “ONE CARD, ONE ASIA”:
During the first week of June, it was an honor for e-Smart to be chosen as the sole US Smart Card and Systems company to deliver one of the keynote speeches to some of the world’s foremost experts in the IT field. Distinguished government officials from Korea, China, Japan and Singapore as well as top executives and engineers from some of Asia’s most important companies all met together at the historic Inaugural General Meeting and First Conference of the Asia IC Card Forum. Attendees included Chairman and members of the Smart Card Standardization Authorities and Committees from Korea, China, Japan and Singapore.
Speakers at the conference included Directors and Executives of Korea’s Samsung Electronics, KT (Korea Telecom), SK Telecom, Japan’s NTT, Hitachi and Sharp. e-Smart was not only the sole US Company to address the conference, but was the only company to address the delegation on biometric smartcard technology. I was asked to speak on “A More Secure IT World – Biometrics – Fingerprint Sensor on Card” and in the speech I set forth the structure and blueprint of how creating “A More Secure IT World” can create a “More Secure and Peaceful World for All”. The speech and our BVS2™ platform featuring the Super Smart Card™ and our other technologies that I presented were received with overwhelming accolades and enthusiasm.
Government attendees at this gathering included, from Korea: the Minister of Information Planning Office, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs, Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Ministry of Health and Welfare, and Ministry of Labor, Director of Information Protection Industry, Chairman, ISO/TC215 and Director of Agency for Technology and Standards; from Japan: the Director of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; from China: the Chief of the Government Authorized IC Card Registration Center and Chairman of China Smart Card Forum; and from Singapore: the Chairman of the Cards and Personal Identification Technology Committee and CTO of IDA (INFOCOM Development Authority of Singapore).
A series of meetings followed the Conference culminating in our being asked to present proposals for pilot systems or to enter into negotiations for systems in a number of countries. Each of these countries, their government and commercial entities are looking to e-Smart’s BVS2™ platform, Super Smart Card™ and unique system technologies to provide the most advanced solutions to their growing burden of identity theft, financial fraud and/or the threat of terrorism.

Saving the best news for last, I am pleased to tell you that final preparations are under way for commencement of mass production of our Super Smart Card™. We anticipate first deliveries to commence in October with a build-up and full roll out of millions of pieces per month beginning in January 2005. Revenues are expected to begin concurrently with delivery. At this point in our corporate development, with sales already under our belt and many new sales pending, it is our manufacturing capacity that will drive our revenues. I have been informed by our engineering group, that barring some extraordinary disaster, there is no doubt that we will be in the position to deliver in excess of 100 million cards during calendar 2005. My research has confirmed that our manufacturing partners are among the biggest, best and most reliable manufacturers in the world (for competitive reasons, I can not yet reveal names. I will do so as soon as practicable). If and as we need additional production capacity, these same suppliers will be able to accommodate our needs. We are looking forward to a very long term and mutually beneficial relationship with these companies.
Well, that’s it for now. We expect July to be another very hectic travel month for our entire team. In addition to any required announcements, I will do my best to update you as soon as possible as developments occur. As re-confirmed at the Asia IC Card Forum, the Company’s products are exactly what the IT knowledgeable world is looking for and needs to counter many of today’s problems. e-Smart Technologies, Samsung SDS and Kobile Enter into Korean Student ID and Multi-Application Smartcard Project
e-Smart's Biometric Smartcard and BVS2(TM) Operating Platform to Provide Service, Convenience and Safety to Korean Students
6/28/2004 9:18:00 AM
LAS VEGAS and SEOUL, South Korea, Jun 28, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- e-Smart Technologies, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: ESMT), http://www.e-smarttechnologies.com/ ("e-Smart" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that pursuant to the previously executed "Master Teaming Agreement" between Samsung SDS Co., Ltd. and the Company's wholly owned subsidiary, e-Smart Korea; e-Smart Korea and Samsung SDS, in association with Korean Company, Kobile Co., Ltd., have entered into a "Student Management Card Project, Cooperation Agreement." Samsung SDS has projected that this Cooperation Agreement has a total revenue potential during its first six years of operation alone (through 2011) of in excess of the equivalent of US$ 617,000,000 based on today's exchange rates. The Project is structured as an outsourcing of IT equipment and services to the educational institutions involved. e-Smart shall be the service provider.
The first of a number of planned domestic Korean and international projects that e-Smart Korea and Samsung SDS have agreed to cooperate in doing, the "Student Management Card Project" calls for the installation and operation of the Company's proprietary Biometric Verification Security System(TM) ("BVS2(TM)") operating platform and the issuance of the Company's, advanced Super Smart Card(TM) to students, faculty and employees of participating learning institutions throughout Korea.
Specifically, the Student Management Card Project, operating on the BVS2(TM) platform will connect mid-level schools, high schools and colleges nationwide. Each student, faculty member and school employee will be issued an e-Smart Super Smart Card(TM) that will serve as their student ID or employee ID, as applicable and that will also serve as both a physical and logical access card, an attendance card, a medical card, a tuition payment and services card as well as an ATM card, a pre-paid purse and or a debit card, among other planned applications. In addition, the Student Management Card Project includes components for parents to monitor the progress of their children and to insure the appropriate use of school allowances, among other things.
Commenting, Mr. Kwang-kyun Cho, Vice President of Samsung SDS said, "We are very proud to be a participant in this venture with e-Smart Korea and Kobile. Together, we will provide an integrated system featuring e-Smart's BVS2(TM) platform and Super Smart Cards(TM) to Korean schools, their employees, students and parents with what we believe to be the world's best, most advanced, secure and privacy protected ID, access, payment and information management system available any where." Commenting further, Mr. Cho said, "We believe that this project will be a 'stepping stone' to the nationwide deployment of the Super Smart Card(TM) in Korea. When people see the security, ease of use and benefits provided by the Super Smart Card(TM), we are convinced that any fears of a biometrically enabled ID card will disappear.
Mr. Hyung-goo Kang, CEO of Kobile then added, "We could not be more pleased with our new project partners, Samsung SDS and e-Smart Korea. Samsung SDS's strength as a large scale system integrator and software developer, and its history of IT success coupled with e-Smart's BVS2(TM), Super Smart Card(TM) and their related technologies insures that the system to be provided here in Korea will be the absolute best solution for this project and an example for the rest of the world to follow."
e-Smart is the exclusive supplier for Asia and the USA of the BVS2(TM) secure, operating platform featuring the Super Smart Card(TM), believed to be the world's only commercially available smartcard with a complete on-card system for biometric ID verification. Samsung SDS is the leading global IT solutions provider in Korea with an annual revenue of in excess of US $1.43 billion. Kobile is the operator of a loyalty marketing system in Korea, having a nationwide sales network there that is used to attract and retain domestic customers in Korea for the benefit of itself and its clients.
In closing, Ms. Mary Grace, the Company's Chairman and CEO and e-Smart Korea's Chairman, stated, "Few people would dispute the need for a counterfeit-proof, tamperproof, biometric ID card to protect underage children from many of the temptations existing in today's world." Ms Grace went on to explain, "For example, e-Smart's technologies will restrict the purchase of cigarettes or alcohol to those legally allowed to purchase same, will prevent underage access to pornographic websites, will prevent payment fraud over the internet, will monitor the spending of allowance or school money so that it is used for the purposes intended." Continuing, Ms. Grace then stated, "e-Smart's biometric system, when configured as a multi-application student ID card, provides both the identity verification necessary to protect our children and our society, all while uniquely protecting the privacy and civil rights of each and every person enrolled." Concluding, Ms. Grace said, "We believe that Samsung SDS's and Kobile's choice to incorporate e-Smart's advanced biometric technologies into this Project brings vital protection to the people of Korea while giving Korean parents the necessary tools to protect and enhance the safety, security and privacy of their children."
