lucky, How much worse strings can it get than those we've already seen YA attach to this company? Los
King, Also read clawmann's last 2 posts and links. It explains it clearly. Los
lucky, They may be more stupid than you give them credit for. No WRITTEN legal opinion regarding conversions after Feb. 17th '09 as it turns out was IMO very stupid! They probably couldn't get a reputable attorney to put into writing what they wanted to hear. To run out and try to obtain one now after the fact would be even more stupid! Los
I own a smallfry amount of VIPR stock. [More than I can really afford] This post has nothing to do with the merits of our CEO, nothing to do with 504's, 505's, or 506's although we need funding to stay afloat. The theme of this post is "A rising tide lifts all boats". This could include our small rowboat called VIPR. This is a flagrant pump, but it is based on things I've been reading. I'm reading that gold prices per ounce are currently breaking all-time high resistance levels. I'm reading that gold production has declined since 2001. I'm reading that the U.S. as well as Europe have "over promised" with spending programs. I've read of China's quest for more gold. I've read that gold prices breaking these resistance levels along with these things along with other factors [could] I repeat [could] cause a wave of "Gold Mania". What may not have been profitable to mine at 6 or 7 hundred dollars an ounce might become profitable at 12 or 14 hundred or more an ounce. A flagrant pump at best but something to think about. I want to see VIPR PPS increase the same as all longs here. Good luck to us all and hope for positive results from these new tests. Maybe with good results and good results with a drilling program someone larger may come calling with an offer. Acquisitions are usually kept close to the vest until PR'd. I want to be here in case of a surprise announcement if there were to be one. THEN THERE's THE URANIUM! I'm still very excited to own a small piece of this. Los
[EDIT] This should have been put on hold until everybody's shares were in place and available for trading. Los [Hell, I can beat Bob Hayes in a footrace if you give me enough headstart.]
I always said I was a smallfry in this but DAMN I didn't know just how small until now. LOL los
Thanks Poptech. Los
Would a buy order just before closing for a few shares at .85 effect the closing price? Los
Does that mean that today is now considered a "trading" day? Los
Anyone want to hazzard a guess whether the BOD's and exec's options will be exercised next week or not. Los [P.S. If they do and file such and PR it, wouldn't that cause a little run by those new investors who haven't done their homework about this company's entanglement with YA?]
self, I sense AGENDAS other than debate, accusing no one, just my opinion. Los
vero, [Everyone] If you haven't already, please go back to claws link posted #213833 yesterday and read, then read the related article on right of page beginning Delaware Chancery Court..... I believe that these articles will begin to show readers how shakey YA/Neom's side of this really is. No predictions but only opinion. Los
lucky, I want to preface this with; If your only agenda here is recovery of your investment in NEOM and possibly profit from it, and I appreciate that it is a great deal of money involved, then I ask , even plead that you try and take a step back and look at this suit without thinking only in terms of defending your stated opinion of it and realize that this was a product of some brilliant minds both investors and attornies. Claw, possibly others, and some of the best corporate attornies in the country have pieced this together and arrived at this approach. If your investment is your only concern here, give them a little credit. Think outside the box a little. If you have other agendas and I'm not saying that you do, then that's a horse of a different color. This suit and approach has given me the only small glimmer of hope I've had since the Jan. 11th 8K. Sincerely, Los
peter, That's OK. You said within the next 3 weeks. 3 minutes is within 3 weeks. You did good. LOL Los
elliot, I had noticed your absence. I was wondering if everything was OK with you. Glad to hear from you and still appreciate your optimism. Los
claw, I almost posted last night a post advising you to be very cautious on this board with your responses. I decided such a post from me to you may have been taken as more of an insult to your intelligence than good advice. You have undertaken a VERY WELL thought out attempt to right some wrongs here. I am and will remain appreciative no matter the outcome. I for one realize this was no common shareholder's choice of where we would be today. This was forced by YA and a coerced or complisant BOD and officers at Neomedia and no one else. I have thought of as many ways this could have been handled and the consequences of each as my simple brain will allow, even including doing nothing. I am of the opinion that your suit is by far the lesser of all evils. I hope for your success in this and hope someday we can discuss this more but not now. I for one don't need to know all the details. THANK YOU Los
Good answer and a good move streets. Los
claw, on the page your link provided, also read under related articles on right of page, the article that begins Delaware Chancery Court....... Thanks for the link Los [P.S. Both articles seem to offer many similarities with what we're dealing with with Neom BOD. or they do to me.]
Thanks claw, Also, how many business days does Neomedia have under disclosure rules to make public disclosure that they are a party in this suit? Los
claw, The letter from your attornies to Neomedia is dated 1/27/10. The YA option from YA to YorkvilleBHN was dated 1/27/10. Do you see a connection or is this just coincidental? I truly don't know but am just curious. I'd like to also reiterate that I believe the shareholders are fortunate whether appreciative or not, to have you involved in this. Thank you, Los
HOVA, Great and good luck. Any DD reasons you'd share with us other than cheap share price? Los
Whether it ends well or not, I believe it is one of the only viable alternatives, quite possibly the only alternative, YA/Neomedia left the common shareholder to at least attempt to get this away from YA's death grip on this company. Again I salute you clawmann and acknowledge the anguish you must have endured in reaching your decision. Los
claw,[#212250 The post I'm responding to] A few weeks ago I dropped this hint for you or anyone who decided to take action. I know nothing of legalities but hoped you would keep this in mind to help if you did. Los
claw, I agree with what you're doing wholeheartedly. I hope the outcome is very favorable for you. I salute you for standing up for what's right. I couldn't say more until you were public but I appreciate a man with balls enough to take the Bastards on. My very best wishes, Los
Shadow, The wealthy Australian or European, I can't remember which, to make a huge investment in the logistics of getting the ore out of the country is a tremendous plus for mining companies and us also and not to be overlooked in this also. [Another coincidence? I don't think so.] Los For anyone who prefers to read directly from sources, I can't post links but I've read much good info from a sight called African Mining Intelligence. I don't know of the reliability of the site but good reading at times.
Simply put, I think things are falling into place. I have to go out now and earn some money the "old fashion" way. I'll be back later in the day. Good luck to all of us believers in VIPR's chances here. Los
Shadow "great minds think alike" [LOL LOL] Seriously, I agree and share your feelings about this. Seems like to many coincidences for something not to be up. I continue to feel very good about this investment. Los [P.S. with both Uranex and Mantra's stated acquisition intentions, I believe VIPR will be presented with some positive options or opportunities before the dust all settles in all this, especially with the effects of the new mining law to be considered.] IMO
claw, The adverse effects of YA/Neomedia's below par and deemed dividend conversion ["methodolagy" LOL] on the share price of this stock may never be fully known. However, the "67.5 million" from ["Iain's own mouth"] for "complex and highly volatile" derivatives is a number worth remembering if some starting point to attempt to determine such were ever needed. My thoughts only. Los
You got that right. When on the 23rd day of April, the funds for May "have not yet materialized" it gets a little bit spooky. Los [The word "inconceivable" also scared me.]
It may be speculative but not entirely "wild" speculation, especially after one company [Uranex] has publicly announced the intent to make several acquisitions and consolidate smaller mining company's. VIPR their close neighbor would surely be of interest wouldn't we? Right now we're in the hoping stages. Maybe in a few days, we'll be in the knowing stages. IMO Los
I'm small potatoes but fully supportive. Right thing, right time and definitely right place. Los
All the guys at VIPR were traveling the past few weeks. I wonder where? LOL Los
It is my opinion that with the passage of the new mining law in Tanzania, all existing mining licenses got much more desirable and more valuable. Los [P.S. Lets go VIPR!]
Hindsight is 20/20 but I'm sure the company regrets not going ahead with the larger interest in the diamond claim after this new law. The 2 1/2% will still mean dollars in our pockets. IMO Los
mtd, I may have misread the article which I read but I understood it to mean no new licenses for gemstone mining. Ore licenses would be issued with a 4% royalty instead of the 3% royalty on existing licenses. Also the government having an interest in part of the new ones. The existing licenses remain the same. Still quite a leg up for existing license holders. Will make them much more attractive to interested parties in my opinion. Los
Thank you streets, When an ignoramus like losmashrt [me] posts something here, it means very little, as it shouldn't. When a long time supporter of this company with some knowledge of what's going on becomes fed up with the bullshit, maybe Iain or whoever needs to will take notice that many supporters of this company have had just about a belly full of their crap. Los
We're the investors. YA is just a "middleman" stock seller.
That caught my eye also, Depending what it all means, it could bode well for companies who already have a foot in the door. Los
Yes and Thanks, Now I'm waiting to read the mining companies joint statement about the changes in the law. Los
Thanks EL, If the joint statement by mining stakeholders regarding the law comes out, would you post link to it? Los
