I was asked if I ever heard him say that. I talk to him most every day. And the answer is No. Never. To the contrary, I believe he has given a realistic appraisal of the situations at every turn.

CBAI had eight weeks in which the DTCC "chilled" the Company and any momentum from the reverse (it was trading at $0.50 intraday afterward) quickly died when shareholders using on-line or discount brokerages realized they could not trade. And all this for no real reason. Company lost a great deal of credibility during those eight weeks, again for no real reason.

No. We've been trying to talk to Zecco. They are working from an outdated DTCC list. Frustrating.

The cakes are proving to be an excellent marketing tool. People like ice cream. It's good to be nice to your customers. I believe the link posted was not in a CBAI filing, so I can't comment on what another company does or doesn't do. The amount of money spent on this is tiny compared to yearly CBAI revenues, and it is proving to be a marketing plus.

What's true is he gives this company 24/7. I've worked with hundreds of companies over the years and he is among the hardest working CEOs. What's true is he owns millions of CBAI options. So he has significant incentive at CBAI to improve the stock price, which helps us all. Information on management ownership is available on EDGAR or at www.sec.gov.

Please. Of course the money from marketing doesn't come from the "cost of shares." Company makes millions of dollars storing umbilical cord blood stem cells and uses a tiny bit of it on marketing. Non-issue.

Actually it has everything to do with customer service. Cakes are used as gifts and people love receiving them. Good marketing.

A private company doesn't have to post financials, other details, like a public company. Of course the company knows. I don't; I don't work for them. And our poster herein who claims every sale is to CBAI is just making it up.
Paul Knopick
pknopick@eandecommunications.com

No and no. It is not a public company so my point is none of us knows about its sales. To claim "all" the sales are to CBAI is just another inane posting, because we simply do not know.

It was posted that some shareholders had expressed concern with buying from Ameritrade and that the broker was asked by the company to ascertain the situation with Ameritrade. Mngt. of this company has long had its window closed to buy or sell its own shares because of the acquisition strategy in place.

That is why there was a reverse. Too many shares out, too many day traders taking advantage, too deep a hole to raise the stock price. And 80 percent agreed with the need for a reverse.
IR never ever said once the chill was lifted, all would be well. We realized the dreadful impact of the DTCC post-reverse chill.
Regarding the chills, there were two chills which you are confusing. I'm discussing here the impact of the eight-week chill directly following the reverse.
Paul Knopick
pknopick@eandecommunications.com
949.707.5365
I'm sorry but I agree with very little that you said and believe the questions were answered. Yes, I have daily direct contact with management of this company. Yes, I do blame the DTCC and the chill. The stock was moving from $0.20 on opening after reverse to $0.50 intra-day and then those who held their stock with discount or on-line brokerages realized they could not trade. This lasted upwards of eight weeks and a number of these people lost faith in the company, despite the fact that the company had done nothing wrong and the reverse was overwhelmingly approved. The impact of the chill has had direct impact on the company, its plans, and, as I said, it needs to be rebuilt with patience and with accomplishments. I believe the foundation is very solid for this to occur.
Paul Knopick

And I'll give you one answer, Sir. Four letters. DTCC. The damage the DTCC did to this company following the reverse with an unwarranted, eight-week "chill" was enormous and caused harm to all the company's plans. It will take patience and accomplishments and yes, probably profits, to rise again. I believe the company is in the right sector at the right time to perform this. The fact that it is international also is, I believe, a major positive. That's my answer.

How do you "win over" a direct competitor? You either buy them (Cord Blood has done plenty of that over the years) or else sometimes they just wither and die and you buy their storage (again CBAI has done that). Winning them over? That's a new one on me.

The Company issued a statement which I posted here. It covers the waterfront. I am not aware of anyone representing CBAI on Yahoo and have no interest on commenting on posts there. CBAI has no control over the NCLF web site. What it charges clients such as this, or Blue Cross affiliates, is proprietary for competitive purposes.

In reference to some recent postings, CBAI is an AABB Institutional Member. This is the membership level required for those applying to become AABB certified.
Cord Blood America is working toward its AABB Accreditation inspection and recently received its CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) Certification.
AABB is a voluntary accreditation. The Food & Drug Administration does not require Cord Blood to hold an AABB certification. Cord Blood America is registered with the U.S. FDA.

I guess you can question them all you like. CBAI does not handle its operations. They probably decided to look for the best deal they could get to store all their stem cells at one location. Anything else would be chaotic. They must have felt that is what they found and they signed an agreement with CBAI. If this saves one kid's life, it is worth it for all involved.

Cord Blood America issued this statement today: Thank you for your recent inquiry about Cord Blood America’s news release announcing our agreement with the National Children’s Leukemia Foundation. The NCLF is a legitimate charity to which CBAI provides a service: Storing stem cells at their request and payment, to help families in need. Our role is solely to store stem cells for this entity, stem cells that someday might save children’s lives, since this is the most viable route to treating leukemia and other blood-borne diseases. We are not doing fund raising for this organization nor are we involved in its operations. So the decision for us is simple: If asked to store stem cells for children, we will.

Sorry but it doesn't matter what you "buy." It matters what actually happened.
Go to Goggle. Put in DTCC. You'll find numerous companies complaining that DTCC won't tell them why they are "chilled."
One company recorded 50 calls between its attorneys and DTCC asking why the chill; none of the 50 calls yielded an answer.
Why should DTCC tell CBAI when they make it a policy of not telling anyone else?
Enough about this topic.
Paul Knopick
pknopick@eandecommunications.com
And it may have been $5.00 soon had CBAI been allowed to move forward without the DTCC explosion. No matter how you try to spin it, shareholders were in favor, overwhelmingly in favor, of the reverse and moving forward from it.
Paul Knopick
pknopick@eandecommunications.com
Yes, news about the reverse was public for a long time. Some people will not stay with a company with a reverse coming; they simply don't believe a reverse ever is successful. I think that also hurt the price. But the fact is we were at $0.50 intraday, up from $0.20 after the reverse, and then the DTCC lowered the boom on us.
Paul Knopick
pknopick@eandecommunications.com
Well, I would say that the hundreds of phone calls and e-mails I received during the "chill" period is solid evidence to back what I say. I lived it.
Paul Knopick

What is that famous line Jack Nicholson uttered:
"The truth. You can't handle the truth."
For a final time, the 8-week "chill" caused the company to lose both shareholders and credibility and it will take time and patience and accomplishments to overcome the enormous impact of the "chill."
