You must still think there is hope of it happening or you wouldn't waste your time either owning the stock...right?
G
Oh....I'm sorry!
I thought you posted "Telling shareholders contemplating the purchase of additional shares to purchase them 3 days prior to September 30, 2004 in order to be a shareholder of record on September 30, 2004. Then not distibuting any such dividend."
Guess I was mistaken...not! Or again you exagerated/mistated facts to make a point...hmmmm, exactly what you allege Sunncomm did.
Again, I received my first dividend...and now, when called on it, you magically got yours too. So if this was such a big concern of yours, since you bought based on the dividend, why did you not sell when you didn't get the second, or the third, or by golly gee the fourth? Your words ring hollow.
G
I received a dividend (the first one)...if you did not then you should contact the proper authorities to seek yours.
G
You're kidding...
"several INVESTED because Mario and others painted this rosey picture. I know someone who invested souley because SCMI promised dividends"...if this is true then they deserved whatever they got. Guess they got a great lesson in investing then, didn't they. Probably won't make that mistake again.
G
Nope...no answer to your question. I don't see anything different to raise my hopes that this will become one of those big winners. However...I do see some signs that all is not yet lost (remember...my definition of all is not lost is not to recoup past share prices of yore. My definition is at this point in time is there a chance to make a gain from where the share price is now).
I see:
People still answering the phones,
PR's still coming out once in a while,
Management appearing to try new avenues to achieve a some revenue.
My big plays are HDY, USEI, GORO & UXG (yes again for UXG since the gold man is trying to scarf up littler companies to become the gold mining source in Nevada and share price on the move again from the $4). But still haven't ruled out SCMI/MMXT totally. I've got my average price down to a little over a penny and do think that's possible to recover on any spike.
G
You've said it all...what is it that sting see's that allows him to believe what he does.
Of course having said that...the flip of that, and equally as true, is if you truly believe what you've said/posted regarding the company, why do you stay?
That question is just as valid as yours to sting.
G
and yet you bought more...interesting.
Examine why you bought more a couple months ago...your posts appeared just as negative then. You can't legitimately blame you losing money on your investment, from that point on, to the company...you already had an established history from which to make a logical decision to invest more or not...and yet you bought more? And now complain that you lost more?? Hmmm...
Just very interesting from an investing psychological point of view.
As with most penny's...if the company pulls it off...big bonanzas/gains for the investors. If they don't...losses. Some penny money making guru stated don't even think of investing in penny's if you think every, near every, most, half, or even one third of the companies you invest in will make it. As a matter of fact, he stated if even 1 in ten come to fruition you have done great. That's the penny stock investor's life...so don't complain about it. It's what you've picked to invest in.
I've invested in lots of penny stocks but have had only a few successes. But oh do those successes far outweigh the losses on all the others. And when you see one of your picks go from 40 cents a share to 10 dollars a share (USGL - now UXG) in a little over a year...that's excitement. Or a 3 cent a share stock go to 70 cents in a couple days (HABE). Then do it again 3 or four years later. I've got a few more but the thing is, I've got many more losers which I got rid of when my investment goals did ot work out for that stock. You get the idea...but to complain about the losers????? That's all part of, and expected in, this penny market game. If you don't know that...you are not realistic in your expectations...and is why some ask why are you invested here vice the DOW 30, or Fortune 500, or CD's, etc.
To complain about a company an investor continues to own shares in, or buys more shares in when you don't believe in the company, you don't trust management, that you say has never therefore will never get it right, speaks volumes about the individual investor in my opinion and less about the company they continue to own.

docgfd
So does it look like mainly us New Yorkers got snookered by the Sunncomm/Media Max saga?
We appear to be either the dumbest bunch of investors or the smartest (hopefully just a little ahead of our time).
G
Fly...
Didn't we just recently send you all a bunch of cold air?
My mom used to live in Lady Lake. Fortunately she moved out last year to live with my sister. Thankfully, she missed out on thoses tornados/storms that killed everybody last week. People in your neck of the woods are probably not to worried about bad weather (ie. hurricanes) this time of year...probably caught alot by surprise.
G
Kenco;
I'm about 2.5 hours north of there. Been through the area though...pretty along that part of the Hudson.
Did you buy some Sunncomm for your son's birthday? (Okay...only jesting!)
G
UR2W...had to google Kissing Bridge!
Not a big ski bum so hadn't ever heard of the place. I see it's on the west side of New York. I'm located on the east side near the Vermont border.
G
That's about 50 miles north east of us. We're just catching a few snow flurries from all that lake effect snow. Actually having a pretty mild winter this year.
Sting...
I didn't know you were from the Albany, NY area.
I might be your neighbor since I hail from near Lake George/Saratoga Springs region.
I knew I liked your posts for some reason!!
G
Exactly!!!
Copy protection can still be used.
G
Now you've done it!!
You got old stocky on a roll again...he was slowing down there a bit.
G
And yet foggy states he owns shares in this company...go figure.
G
alj14...wishing you a great, prosperous New Year
G
Good find mystocks...
Thanks for posting, I hadn't been to the SCMI webpage in quite a while.
G
"It is quite clear that some would prefer me to move on. I wonder why?"
Quit pussyfooting...address your post to the boardmember who you are questioning. I must have missed the post where anyone's stating they would prefer you move on. Which post number was that. The closest I saw was my post stating basically it is silly for someone to bash a stock they still own...that if the stock no longer fits their goals, I implied they are stupid or lazy if they did not sell and move their money to something they consider more profitable.
Sounds like your post is intended to set you up as a martyr or to garner pity points that you are being picked on...not the case.
All my opinion which as you say I "will express...as I see fit".
G
Then you too must have sold and moved on...
People that moan and b*tch yet still own the stock are investors with no credibility. If you truly believe what you say then the smart play would be to sell and by a CD getting 4-5% with your left over SCMI money...or anywhere but here where you think the odds are more in your favor.
If you don't sell and move on you must think there is a chance the company might make you some dough, more dough invested here than on a company that doesn't "lie", and that would go against all that you seem to pontificate.
And those investors who think the share price has already tumbled too far to get out, or spout they have already lost too much to get out now, it just doesn't matter...that's a load of cr*p. That's what lazy investors do...nothing! Learn from your mistakes and do better in your next investment. But to say there is no chance with this investment but keep your money here...come on...doesn't pass the smarts test that you really believe that.
I much as I dislike Kenco's posts...she's smarter than you all leaving your money here if you don't think there is a chance of it making you some dough. At least Kenco appears to believe what she is saying and has the credibility in her convictions to not invest in this company...she's not saying one thing and doing another like some of the rest of you.
G
And yet you still own the stock...?
Amazing!
G
Hope it works for you...I took my losses here earlier in the year and put it in HDY
Good luck.

Here's a portion of the article I found online:
Antioxidant Snapple
By Al Sicherman, Star Tribune
Last update: December 20, 2006 – 5:29 PM
Antioxidant Snapple
If you were worried that Snapple wouldn't be able to stay atop the weird-flavor nutraceutical wave, don't give it another thought: There are three new Red Tea Snapples, all brewed with rooibos (say "roy-boss" -- or don't), an antioxidant-rich South African herb that makes caffeine-free red tea. To judge by what's said about rooibos on the Internet, Mr. Tidbit reported a couple of years ago, it probably cures every known illness and makes your feet smell like gardenias. And put a bottle of rooibos next to one of Snapple's four flavors of green tea and you have a Christmas decoration. Sort of.
But wait: Rooibos is just the "tea" part. There are three red-tea flavors: peach pomegranate (pomegranate was the hot antioxidant fruit not long ago), acai mixed berry (acai is 2006's equivalent of pomegranate), and Mandarin tangerine. (Snapple apparently didn't hear about all the antioxidants in mangosteens.)

G
Just saw in the paper an article on red tea being the next big antioxidant solution. It also states that SNAPPLE has started selling three different kinds of red tea. The competition is starting to mount on the red tea side. This merger, etc. better happen quick if we have hopes of battling SNAPPLE in the red tea game.
G
Be nice to see this move finally due to some type of sales.
Maybe Russia's Tree units are catching on.
G
What you are requesting is illegal and immoral. Buy the product and don't be a thief.
G
Sounds like you are unhappy and might be selling. The question remains that for whatever funds your shares are currently worth, are the chances greater to make more here in the future than if you sold and moved your money somewhere else. If you don't think those chances are good then why stay?
Take your money and invest in HDY!!! Right sahd?
Any remaining shares I still have here I expect, from this point, on this day, at this share price, of having the chance to make a decent percentage gain. If I didn't think that why stay?
G
Do you consider the hiring of this person good, bad, or doesn't matter?
G
from company reports/statements both HDY themselves and partners. Hopefully more specifics will be forthcoming in the 8K and upcoming 10Q.
G
sahd3g...wouldn't that be something!
Both HDY and SCMI taking off in the upcoming year.
G
A few of us took advantage of the jump and bailed.
G
Hope you make some dough though.
So Scott...
You give up to easily.
G
Yes...that's how I know your understanding is bogus.
Now a direct question for you...did you base your understanding and statement that a new american company was given acreage by Guinea on a partial headline/storyline (which you linked) given to you by someone on another website and was that enough to come to the understanding, like you stated, that this was true? Or did you have some other info/sources which may be more reliable?
I would be interested in a link/info to that other poster and website so I could evaluate the context this was presented...since I know the true article. Perhaps I could then give you some insight on why they would infer something that's untrue?
G
So your understanding that another company was awarded acreage was based on a partial headline? You did not read for yourself but took the word of what another board said?...and gave it enough credance for you to come to an understanding?
How is what you posted info? If something you bring to the board is not true...how is that helpful? And why would we want that info?
G
Did I misunderstand?
Your question was:
"Anyone have the details on the new player in the Guinea oil biz?"
You then went on to state:
"I understand someone other than us has been awarded some acreage."
From where did you get your "understanding"? If you based your "understanding" on the blurb you provided the link to, but failed to read the whole article because you did not pay for access, then my original post stands:
"I'm guessing you did not read the article since it required you to be a member/or pay to do so.
It appears you trolled for news and made an assumption based on what was in the partial headline."
No chip...no attack...just plain truth...unless your "understanding" came from a different source which you failed to provide. If that's the case, as twolibras asked already, prove it...
G
P.S. - did you think no one had access to the entire article?
I'm guessing you did not read the article since it required you to be a member/or pay to do so.
It appears you trolled for news and made an assumption based on what was in the partial headline.
You should read the rest!
You may regret your previous post.
G
Like you who bought the other day!!!!
To funny.
Doesn't much matter who it comes from...pooint is still the same.
G
Mario;
I appreciate the response...I understand in regards to SCMI "don't shoot the messenger".
Here's hopefully to us on HDY in the near future.
Good luck in your endeavors.
G
I'm still taking Sequesterol.
I would agree the smell is not that bad to overcome the positives I find taking it. The smell is tolerable because I've found the product works.
However, it is unappealing enough that I could see many first time buyers giving up on it prior to taking it long enough to verify for themselves (through cholesterol checks) it works for them.
