" The continuing vaccination drive has vastly diminished, if not obsoleted, our Covid19 market potential. "
You can't be serious right.....vaccinations have only reduced/slowed the spread. Even vaccinated people still get Covid 19 so if we prove to be effective, then throughout the world we have a HUGE market for Covid 19 and then 20 and so on....
How did the Street miss the REDUCE-IT results then? Shouldn't the price have been over $3 before the report came out?
I think using sales numbers from Hikma wouldn't be part of our basis of proof unless they help our cause.
How about the un-vaccinated worried about getting the virus (GET VACCINATED) and let others be free to worry about themselves
Fortunately I don't seem to have an addictive personality with anything other than a certain stock. And...maybe cakes, pies, cookies and an occasional Tequila, Scotch, Bourbon, and Gin and Tonics.
Thanks louieblouie....good for your nephew....that's awesome.
That is bad marjac..... my kidney stone just reversed course.
Well, at least you enabled us all to test our gag reflex.
I can relate..... I'm trying to pass a bleepin kidney stone and sticking sharp pencils in my temples only diverted my attention until the Oxi kicked in. Anyone ever self remove a kidney? That's next!
I'm from Massachusetts and I trust about 7% of what the CDC says.
A little harsh don't you think..... if you have the vaccine, what do you care if someone else doesn't take it. Anyone that wants to take the vaccine can take it in this country. If you believe in the vaccine, then he is not going to infect you.
If I'm not as deep under water as the Mariana trench, I'm a flounder width above it.
Same here....another 500
Keep up the good work FFS..... appreciate your technicals and others can decide whether or not to do any trading based on them.
Totally agree....... the article does not articulate that the patent loss was for the ultra high Trigs market which is a very limited market. That is a HUGE point that should have been made and changes the whole dynamic as to the true value of the US market.
I think Raf just caused a price spike.
Much appreciated Raf
I grabbed another 500 shares to add to my way overweight amount at $ 4.14 near the open yesterday... something has to break our way.
This may be contrary to the rest of the board but the way our prescription system is set up, I don't believe we can grow our market faster than the generics can steal it so why put in the effort to grow it (AT THE MOMENT). I like to think that we are slow walking things in the US until the legal issues and the formulary changes play out. This current market cannot be worth it to Generics so let them bleed a little in the short term and we should do a full court press in the rest of the world to grow the market and prepare ourselves for a BO.
Infections are one thing, hospitalizations are another.... we certainly can't take things lightly but let's keep things in perspective.
Not concerned about the Delta variant. There will be variants. They are usually minor..... the chances of catching Covid are on the decline in the US. If someone who has had Covid or is vaccinated catches the Delta variant, it should be no worse than a cold and not require hospitalization. If you're not vaccinated, your chances of catching the virus are still lower since there are less and less carriers.
Most people don't question climate change..... the question is.... how much of climate change, if any, is due to man made activities.
We didn't lose money last quarter.....
Then if you can't beat em... join em.... and we make our own Generic and dilute the pie a little more. At some point, it's not worth it for the generics.
It's only easy for me to say because it's pointless to keep beating that drum. Of course it's frustrating. I've been in AMRN since before Reduce-It. Not as long as many of you but long enough to have my share of frustration. So what JT/Du did and didn't do is in the past. We now have to play the hand that we are dealt. It's still a great hand but we have to play it well. It's still early i this game and we have the approvals we need to grow this business.
Water under the bridge..... let it go already. We are all quite familiar with JT and the Du saga..... it's done! Time to move on and grow the business while the game plays itself out.
No denying mgmnt has not executed well at all since CV indication was approved. It would be unfair though to not consider the impact of Covid on the marketing plan.
Yes certainly President Obama issued more deportation orders than Trump..... I have my doubts that the actual deportations happened. Can't trust anything from the biased press.
We didn't hold a loss either.
Some cardiologist...... who still uses a hotmail account?
He didn't even have the brains to look at previous studies of EPA without a placebo.... and couldn't even hypothesize that DHA cancels the benefits of EPA. Morons abound.
Thanks.... I found it on Youtube ..... I like it and you're right about too much emphasis on side effects.... these should be minimized. I'm sure they have to be listed but they don't have to overpower the message.
I can't even find a link to this new commercial on Amarin's web site.... should be very simple. Is there one? There used to be.
Interesting how I now notice things like on the Purina "Pro plan" dog food I just bought at my local Tractor Supply store has a visible note that it includes DHA for brain and vision growth. I'm sure there is no proof that there is enough DHA in the food that would show any benefit to brain and vision function of a dog. But hey, you can say it. Nissen probably has Purina stock.
C'mon AMRN, expand your purified EPA market by getting into the pet nutrition. Tie up more API. I love my pet and want the best cardiovascular health available. She's 7 months old and not currently on statins. Non-smoker and get plenty of exercise. Let's do this.
We can launch a generic whenever we want...don't be so concerned about the US market. It's in it's infancy.
Great story...... there are pockets of decency all over the place thank goodness. Thanks for sharing.
" just like there's no good answer why we're suddenly discouraging both antibody test kits and masks if you're jabbed "
Common sense maybe? The same common sense that said wearing masks outside was just dumb anyway.
Excellent Captn.
The inmates are now running the asylum.
It's a card to play at some point but not now when you are suing them for infringement. AMRN would actually be helping stay under 10% of market and not have a case for infringement. Let the case play out first.
It is stunning to think that we are about $1.80 away from the stock price just prior to the REDUCE-IT results. Since then we have:
- Increased our cash balance to over $500 Mil
- Have FDA approval as the only drug approved for CV risk reduction
- Approval in Canada for same
- Approval in EU for same
- Approval in UK for same
- Pending approval in China for same
- Evidence of plaque reduction in arteries (EVAPORATE)
- Anecdotal evidence of mitigation of severe Covid symptoms
- Incoming CEO with Sales and Drug launch experience
- Change in General Council
- Pending infringement litigation against Hikma and Health
- Pending Supreme Court uptake
We got DUped out of the Marine patent but we still control the API market and can launch our own gV if needed.
Covid is on a sharp decline in the US and will continue to be so. I still think we are slow walking the US market until Hikma bleeds money on their ill fated gV launch.
