I did not point fingers at who said what, I was purely making a statement that several things have been posted for the negative which have all been proven wrong.
Until we see actual performance results you cannot say they have or haven't increased the performance factors of the Tesla.
They owe the cars that will be produced, not the money and the cars.
And how can anyone make a flat out statement that they will NOT produce the cars?
Again, Saleen wasn't going to get a Tesla to build the Saleen Tesla, they were going to be closed months ago, they would never produce a prototype Saleen Tesla that is now the FourSixteen and was produced and has been shown at many different shows and will be on display at the LA Auto Show. All of these points that have been made have been proven WRONG each and every time!
A statement saying that the cars will never be delivered... That is not true and no proof of that being true. They will deliver what cars are currently ordered.
But then again, they were suppose to be closed months ago to right? And the Saleen Tesla will never be produced and they will never get a car to use and make a prototype right?
So far Saleen has proven those last statement wrong and will continue to do so.
Every investment is a risk with every company.
Posters are worried about these little investments from investors when you had a much larger one several years ago with GM. That cost investors BILLIONS of dollars when they filed BK and was bailed out by the Federal Government. Now you have GM making record profits at the expense of the investors of the OLD GM.
SLNN is not done yet and continues to pull small loans to push through until the 2015 Saleen Mustang is pushed out the door of Saleen which will cause the sales number to go up a lot. The next filing will be a surprising one (for the good) for everyone and will hopefully quiet up all the negative hits SLNN keeps getting.
It would be a civil matter and no owner of any dealership etc would just walk in demanding anything like that.
Amazing how something like this is posted after the reports comes out yesterday... IMO, this is nothing more then another made up story.
Makes for a really good story but not true at all!
Yes it is at .025 a share but that doesn't mean it can't go up. Anything could happen so I am not folding my cards on SLNN.
How many times has it been stated that they will be closed soon and it has yet to happen?
I guess we will wait and see what happens as I feel that we will see something much bigger come of this then what some people think. Only time will tell.
I didn't say that they were setup at SEMA... Just that there is more then one car mentioned by another poster.
I also mentioned before that just because they are NOT at the show means nothing at all.
Hmmm... Really, only a Challenger?
Well here is video with Steve in it:
They are not ALWAYS there. I have been to sema several times and I know there was one time they were not present. So really it means nothing.
I also have a friend that is in the wheel industry and he doesn't have a booth there this year at SEMA. Why would he not be there this year but was there last year? Simple, they didn't want to be setup at SEMA this year as it costs ALOT of money to do so even for a little 10x20 booth. He is still there meeting with customers just with a lot less money going out.
Well probably doesn't know the answer to your questions because from what I understand there are not any layoffs going on currently.
It's a risk you have to take with investments... You don't win them all. And this one is not over yet.
Hmmm... You have been warning all of us about this for months?
You keep making a statement that is not true at all... Which is about how the investors are taking the hit on all of this and that a lot of money is going into "obscure pockets".
Now what you have NOT stated before which I have is the deferred pay to the CEO. If you above statement was so true, then wouldn't the CEO be taking his salary?
You keep saying that there is email proof of Saleen saying they are working with Tesla which is not true at all.
Well it has happened before and that was without the 2015 Saleen mustang so it can happen again very easily. Once that hits the market that will help it out.
We have heard this before when it hit its first all time low of $0.05 a share and then within 5 days it went to $0.12 a share.
I'm looking forward to a bounce up from the lows again just like before.
These statements have been said again and again for months now... That they will be closed by the end of this month, that month etc. But they continue to be open.
Next year at this time the same things will continue to be said from now till then month after month.
This also goes along with Saleen NOT going to produce the Saleen Tesla now named the Foursixteen, producing just a car or two when we just recently saw 30+ red mustangs waiting to be manufactured as the George Follmer edition cars that have been ordered... etc.
Here is also a link to Saleen car values since they are a Manufacture: http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/2014/Saleen
Yes I have… Heard it and have also gone for a ride in it. I have owned, ridden and driven many Saleen vehicles. I have been to there plant in Troy, MI, the one in Irvine, CA and also the one now in Corona, CA.
Whats interesting is that is the completely different opinion that I have heard and seen… And "winding screeching" is not what I feel it sounds like at all.
Have you heard this "awful sound" in person?
I would not be able to make a complete opinion about something with out first experiencing it in person. Which I have and it is not "awful sounding" at all… It actually makes it sound pretty cool IMO.
What your saying doesn't make much sense IMO…
Well of course the released the rendering of the 2015 Saleen Mustang… Why wouldn't they do so? How else are they going to produce any sales of the 2015 Model not showing what is coming up soon? But this is a bad business decision???
Last time I checked, ALL Manufactures when coming out with a new model pretty much start all with a rendering don't they? I'm sure the actual vehicle will be seen in the coming month or so… Maybe SEMA???
Oh, and another thing. All this talk about how bad it is that Saleen is taking the Tesla and manufacturing the 416 etc… What about Tesla taking the Lotus and making the Tesla Roadster…??
So you haven't seen or driven it but you will make your complete opinion based on what others have told you that they "think" has been done to the vehicle? And also the pics and videos you have seen?
They have done more then that but some people will disagree about that. Which is fine.
Have you seen the car in person to make your complete opinion? Just because you have seen pics or videos do not do the car justice.
But it was stated that Saleen just takes a vehicle and adds some stuff to the vehicle… When they do more then that with the Saleen 351… Don't care about the Saleen 351 because they do A LOT more then what was posted. Also, what about the Saleen S7? What did that vehicle start off as?
What I am saying is that Tesla took another vehicle just like Saleen did with the Tesla and all you can do is say how bad of business it is etc for Saleen to do that… But it is ok for Tesla to do so and also double the price of the vehicle? Then again, it was a glider and not even the complete vehicle so it was probable more then double the cost of the actual base "glider" unit from Lotus.
Doesn't AC Propulsion also have something to do with BMW???
And how does Saleen produce the Saleen 351 currently? They keep the current GT motor??? Based on what your saying they do...
No proof to what you have stated yet. There are no stats out yet on the 416 so don't jump to any conclusions yet.
But then again, they aren't producing it anyways right? And they are closing at the beginning of October? But they are still open right?
Well it might be possible since they are located in Michigan not far from the plant the mustangs are built in... Just a guess. Not as easy for them to get one out to California in time for the show since they weren't shipping them yet at that time. The 2015 Saleen Mustang will be shown in real life soon.... Maybe Sema at the end of the month?
Just FYI, the red Mustangs are for the George Follmer cars that are ordered. I know there were several dozen sitting there during the show.
Just like they won't build the Tesla right? Also, they won't be able to get there hands on a Tesla correct? They have and they did!
I think I also mentioned a couple of months ago that the 2015 Saleen Mustang would be shown at the Saleen show in September just to be told by others here that they won't be around to show it because Saleen WON'T be around... Yes, it was just a rendering but that is all that is available currently.
I think we all can see who has a bit better idea of what's going on with Saleen here...
In response to some of the uninformed, inaccurate posts that Saleen is releasing renderings because they want to get investors' money without actually building cars, consider the following comments.
You really don't know about the process that has been done before the actual vehicles are delivered at the beginning of each new Generation of Mustangs.
In July 2010, Saleen revealed renderings of the current generation Saleen Mustang and was in production a few months later.
In April 2014, Saleen revealed the renderings of the Saleen FOURSIXTEEN, and it was debuted at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 17, 2014. It was also displayed at the September 20, 2014 Saleen Show and Open House. Interested parties received test rides in the car. The FOURSIXTEEN is now in production.
Way back to 1984: Spring 1984, the 1st renderings of the Saleen Foxbody Mustang were released and the 1st Saleen Mustang debuted at the Sears Point Raceway in June 1984.
The renderings of the 2015 Saleen 302 Mustang have been released and the new generation 2015 Saleen Mustang will be built and revealed just like previous models.
Exactly what I am saying! There are NO mustangs for Saleen to get there hands on to actually produce the 2015 Saleen since Ford has yet to ship any to dealers. So for now, we can only view the renderings of the vehicle UNTIL they are shipping cars and Saleen can get one to produce the prototype.
Well, anyone that knows anything about the Ford Mustang and the 50th anniversary is that the first cars are 1964 50th annivery Mustang GT's in either while or blue and cars won't be available for a several more weeks yet. Also, they just started production of the 2015 Mustang at the end of August. If Saleen could have gotten one before the September show you would have seen the car and not a pic.
Well, to all of the disbelievers!
The Saleen Tesla is for real. I had a ride that would compete with a Disney attraction! The acceleration was amazing, and even more of a surprise was the short breaking distance from 75 mph to zero in a very short distance to a stop light!!! The ride was exhilarating, and the car sounded like it is from a futuristic movie! It is definitely unlike anything else on 4 wheels.
These opinions must go along with Saleen not even producing the Tesla aka FourSixteen right? The Foursixteen prob doesn't drive but we saw in the video released today that it does. They aren't producing any cars but in the video released today you can see many being build in the background of the video. Also from the video it looks like the service car warning on the dash is also gone, but Saleen wouldn't be able to fix that right?
The company and the stock is on simmer currently and just waiting to get to a boil. Everything is falling into place for the company and stock to really move forward. And we haven't even gotten to the 2015 Saleen Mustang yet. That will help make the stock really heat up IMO.
If you do or don't want to call it a review this is still a good video to prove many different things about the car like I have stated before. Again, ZCar has MANY "reviews" on MANY different cars but those all are not reviews either right?
Your opinion is that, your opinion. But you called this a promotional video which is not what it is either. If thats the case, then ALL of ZCars videos are promo videos which we all know is not true.
With the ZCar video of the Saleen FourSixteen, you get to see that the car is exists, can be driven and seems to perform very well. Another thing is that in the background while taking video of the Tesla, you can see many cars that are being worked on. But it has been stated that they are not really building many cars at all which from this video you can tell is also not true.
Again, this is just an attempt to knock down something positive for Saleen and the FourSixteen since this video proves many points that other have tried to make inaccurate to all degrees.
Seems that because this video came out today, the stock has seen a positive lift. Lets go SLNN!!!
Yes, I can. Zcar has done videos on actual race cars which they didn't drive. Others on here said they probably didn't even drive the car which now we have seen it can be driven.
How often do you think when a car is reviewed that it's not driven by the reviewer and but someone from the manufacture? This happens more often then you think so this is nothing new at all.
I have said it before, I will continue to wait for more info to come out about the Foursixteen before I make a complete opinion especially regarding performance specs. But it seems that the car is performing very well!
So ALL the videos that Xcar posts are promotional videos??? Really??? If it was a stock Tesla S I'm sure the opinion would be different.
Well this proves several things...
1. The car exists
2. The car drives
3. The car has the Indy car type sound while driving which was talked about at pebble beach
4. From what I can tell the service car light on the dash is no longer on.
5. They did more to the car then just an interior and front & rear bumpers.
6. The video has a lot more likes then dislikes which goes against the other site that has been posted many times... I wonder why that is?
Beautiful car. Love the sound it makes. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to go for a ride in the Saleen Tesla in the coming weeks.
Hmmm, ok. I have shown that I have a lot of knowledge regarding Saleen many many times on this board. One example is the Saleen Partnership with Ford and the Ford GT Project. And also don't forget about Chrysler and the Dodge Viper as well.
One thing you did forget to mention is the Saleen S7... Which was there own vehicle produced from the ground up. But they aren't an OEM as you say right?
Yes, I believe there might be since Saleen is over in China once again.
This is going to be a great opportunity for Saleen to branch out to the international market. Especially in a money rich country like China.
