Ah ha, that would certainly prevent it from working correctly. That was a cheap fix!
It's easy to tell if they are lined up correct. There should be a little green light showing on the side of both sensors when they are lined up correct.
Hold your hand in front of either sensor and the green light should go off. Remove your hand and green light will come back on.

I doubt this is your problem but might help others sometime in the future, my neighbors overhead doors face the south. His door worked fine till the middle of the afternoon.
Turns out that if the sun hits one sensor a certain way it can't communicate with the other sensor and thinks something is blocking the door.
I fixed it with a 3 inch long piece of PVC. Put it right over the sensor that faces the sun and it's been working fine ever since.
It's like a tunnel that the sensor can see through but keeps the sun from glaring on it.
When one of mine started doing what yours is doing I had to replace the circuit board and that fixed mine.

swampboots, is there any chance your leak is coming around the 3/4 inch chrome pipe that comes out of the wall? You know, the pipe that the shower head screws on to!
I know that sounds too simple but if it is not tight it could leak. Or it could have corroded. You should be able to slide that chrome piece down out of the way so you can watch while the shower is on to see if it's leaking there.
If it's else where, expose it and fix it right, as others have suggested.
Count
Correct, all that set up is going to do is give the water an alternative route. Some water is still going to want to go to the existing shower head. However, if it's one of those leaks that require a certain amount of pressure in order to leak, then maybe that would take enough of the pressure off that it would work! But that's a maybe.
Tackling it from the back as you suggested would be the best way to go, if possible!
Count
I'm going to say you will still have water going up to the original shower head, maybe not under as much pressure as before, but there is nothing that is diverting that supply with that tub spout.
You would have to change out what's inside the wall to achieve what you are trying to do!
Count
I'm surprised you are just now getting that, I've been seeing that for many months now.
Mine doesn't show up until I scroll. I just quit scrolling, fixed it, lol.

FBI offered Christopher Steele $50K to confirm Trump dossier: Judge Napolitano
Did the FBI pay for the Steele dossier?
Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano says he believes the FBI offer former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele $50,000 to corroborate the dossier.
Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano on Monday said the FBI offered former British spy Christopher Steele $50,000 if he could “corroborate” the Trump-Russia dossier.
“I believe, just from examining the public sources, that the FBI offered Christopher Steele $50,000 if he could corroborate the dossier. He either couldn’t, didn’t, wouldn’t, and they didn’t pay him the money,” Napolitano told FOX Business' Stuart Varney on “Varney & Co.”
Last Wednesday, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein testified before the House Judiciary Committee for an oversight hearing on Capitol Hill. Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) asked Rosenstein if the FBI paid for the Russia dossier, to which he replied, “I’m not in a position to answer that question.” DeSantis followed up by asking, “Do you know the answer to the question?” Before being interrupted, Rosenstein answered back, “I believe I know the answer, but the Intelligence Committee is the appropriate committee…”

Napolitano said the committee should have continued to press Rosenstein for an answer to DeSantis’s question.
“I would have grilled him and subpoenaed an answer out of him because the American public has the right to know,” he said.
Bruce Ohr, who had previously served in the deputy attorney general’s office, is expected to testify in a closed-door hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday and will most likely be questioned about whether the FBI paid for the Russia dossier.
The committee had learned that Ohr spoke with both Steele and Glenn Simpson, who founded Fusion GPS. This has led some Republicans to suspect that former federal officials had been working to sabotage then-candidate Trump.

Gregg Jarrett: Mueller's allegedly lawless acts have corrupted his probe and demand his removal
Special Counsel Robert Mueller is accused of acting in complete disregard for the law and must be removed. And so, too, must his entire team.
There is devastating new evidence to suggest that Mueller and his staff of lawyers improperly, if not illegally, obtained tens of thousands of private documents belonging to President-elect Trump's Presidential Transition Team (PTT). The material includes emails, laptops and cell phones used by 13 PTT members.
Critically, a "significant volume of privileged material" was taken by Mueller, according to the Trump transition lawyer, and then used by the special counsel team in its investigation. Mueller's staff apparently admits this egregious violation, which the law strictly forbids.
Under the law, the only remedy is Mueller's dismissal from the case.
The Records Are Private
The Presidential Transition Act states that all records of transition operations are private and confidential.
On November 16, 2016, roughly ten days after Trump was elected president, the Chief Records Officer of the U.S. Government sent a letter to all federal agencies reminding them that "the materials that PTT members create or receive are not Federal or Presidential records, but are considered private materials."
Yet Mueller seems to have ignored the law. Without a warrant or subpoena, his team of lawyers brazenly demanded these private records from the General Services Administration (GSA) which held custody of the materials. The GSA does this as a service to all incoming presidents out of courtesy, but it neither owns the documents nor is authorized to release them to anyone under any circumstances because they are deemed entirely private.
If true, Mueller's conduct is not only unethical and improper, it constitutes lawlessness. On this basis, he must be removed and replaced.
Counsel for the Trump Transition Team has sent a letter to Congress alleging the Fourth Amendment was violated in "failing to obtain a warrant for the search or seizure of private property in which the owner has a reasonable expectation of privacy (Coolidge v. New Hampshire, 403 U.S. 443, 489)."
Mueller might contest the claim of an unlawful seizure because the GSA willingly handed over the documents, but this disregards the fact that the GSA broke the law and Mueller surely knew it when he pressured the agency to do so.
Privileged Material
The most serious charge against Mueller is that he obtained, reviewed and used material that is privileged.
For months, Mueller allegedly failed to disclose to the transition team that he acquired these privileged documents. Under the law, he and his lawyers are not entitled to possess or read any of them. Even worse, the transition team says it warned the special counsel six months ago that it had no right to access the records without gaining permission from the PTT.
Courts have clearly stated what prosecutors are supposed to do under these circumstances: "An attorney who receives privileged documents has an ethical duty to cease review of the documents, notify the privilege holder, and return the documents." (U.S. v. Taylor 764 Fed Sup 2nd, 230, 235)
Did Mueller do this? Apparently not. He never notified PTT when his staff of lawyers encountered the privileged documents and he compounded his violation of the law by possessing and accessing them for months.
Only the owner of such materials can waive the privileged that protects them. Since the GSA does not, under the law, own the records, only the transition team can make such a waiver. It did not.
Hence, if any illegally obtained documents have been used in the Trump-Russia case, then the results are tainted and invalid. This is a well-established principle of law.
Mueller Must Be Removed
The use by Mueller of even one privileged document can, and must, result in his disqualification from the case.
The case of Finn v. Schiller, 72 F.3rd 1182, 1189 spells out the required remedy for this violation of the law: "Courts have frequently used their supervisory authority to disqualify prosecutors for obtaining materials protected by the attorney-client privilege."
Statutory law also demands Mueller's removal. Pursuant to 5 C.F.R. 2635.501, government employees, including prosecutors, are directed to "take appropriate steps to avoid an appearance of loss of impartiality in the performance of his or her official duties."
The lawyer for the Trump transition team states that the special counsel's office admitted in a telephone conversation on Friday that it failed to use an "ethical wall" or "taint team" to segregate any privileged records. This is often done to keep them isolated from lawyers and investigators involved in the case.
Yet, Mueller did not adopt such precautionary measures. Instead, he apparently allowed his team to utilize the documents while questioning witnesses in the Trump-Russia case.
If true, Mueller's conduct is not only unethical and improper, it constitutes lawlessness. On this basis, he must be removed and replaced.
Given the insular nature of the special counsel operation, it is reasonable to conclude that all the lawyers and investigators likely accessed the privileged documents. Therefore, not just Mueller, but his entire team must be dismissed. This would include Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein who oversees the case.
Either Congress should take aggressive action or the Presidential Transition Team (now Trump for America, Inc.) must petition a federal judge to order their removal.
The integrity of the special counsel probe has been deeply compromised by numerous allegations of corrupt acts. In its current composition, it seems beyond repair.

Larry I had a car once, a hot rod, and it was doing the same thing!
I doubt if this is your problem but when I would floorboard it, the insulation that's under the hood would get sucked down to the air cleaner, thus starving the engine for air.
It's because of the MJAC advertisement at the bottom. Can't click next until it's done loading, annoying huh?
In your case, I don't know, but normally when the hot water tank is rumbling it's because there is, or was air in the water line! You can bleed that air through the pop off valve on the hot water tank.

Not sure if Walk is still with us! Kind of unusual him not responding.Suppose he could be having computer issues?
At that rate you can probably expect not to have to put it on the charger for a year or two.
However long a battery will last on a shelf is how long you could expect it to last without charging.
If it was me, I would turn it on every 3 months and leave it on till the battery says charge me!
It's just not using any power the way you are using it.
Battery will last longer too if you let it drain once in a while and recharge.

New Clinton Emails Show Classified Info Sent to Clinton Foundation.
June 2, 2017
OAN Newsroom
A watchdog organization reveals Hillary Clinton sent more classified information without a security clearance.
Judicial Watch pointed to an email Clinton forwarded in 2010 to two people at her foundation.
The email was marked with a “classified” box on the first page of the chain.
In another email in 2011, Clinton asked if she could fly on a separate plane from former first lady Michelle Obama.
Judicial Watch calls these emails a casual violation of laws.
The watchdog organization received them after suing the State Department for failing to respond properly to their request for this information.

That is weird. Only other thing I can think of is my kitchen fixture is hooked up to what I think they call 3 way switches, ( meaning the light can be turned on and off from two different switches )
Is one of your fans hooked up that way and the other,( the one that doesn't have the delay ) hooked up to a single switch?
It worked fine last autumn, nothing now.
Has there been any work done to the plumbing since last autumn, like any repairs or such done anywhere for the house? Also what type of plumbing do you have?
The bulbs are spiral CFLs just like in the matching fan in another room (that doesn't have a delay).
That's the same type of bulb that came with my new light fixture I installed in the kitchen. ( You described it better than I did ). Confused why one would have a delay and the other doesn't. Matching fans with matching bulbs, correct?
Be careful with the expanding foam. I watched a guy put too much along the jambs of his doorway after installing a new steel door and it expanded so much he couldn't get his door open!
Had to dig all that out.

lol ya I know but nothing else was changed! It's either the bulbs or my different fixture. In my case anyway. Will be interesting to hear what type of bulbs he used.

We just arrived at the house today for vacation and when I flip the one switch, there is a significant delay (multiple seconds) before the light actually turns on.
FWIW.....I installed a new light fixture in my kitchen about a year ago. Didn't change a thing with the wiring, didn't have to as I was simply changing the ceiling fixture. First thing I noticed was the delay like you are referring to.
My delay has to be caused by the type of bulbs used. They are the florescence type.

Those X braces between the joists won't support a tile floor.
I'm not talking about the X braces. My way is different.
Ok picture this, you lay 3, 2 by 4's on the floor on edge. They are spaced 16 inches apart. Now, cutting from another 2 by 4 you cut several at 14 1/2 inch length. Take those that you just cut and place them on edge in between the 3 boards. On 90 degree angle from the 3 other boards.
If you do that enough you are strengthening the middle board.
Tile on wood floors suc because you have to have a really strong well structured floor.
Yes I know they don't use fire blocks in new construction. I was just using that as an example. It was a bad example for me to use as I have seen some that were put in at a 45 degree angle.
The bracing I've used is put in at 90 degree.
Hopefully by now his house has burned down and he can just collect insurance! Lmao
Count
Do you remember back in the old days how they would put in (fire blocks) in the walls of a house? They would use the same size material whether 2 by 4 or 2 by 6 and install between wall studs. Not only did it slow down a fire inside the wall cavity but it also strengthened the wall from flexing in and out.
Count
That is not the way I was talking about. My way is a more solid fit where there is no room for movement. Have fixed several floors that were moving and squeaking with my method.
If you were underneath looking up after installing the braces you would be looking at 4 boxes if you installed 3 braces on each side.
Mind you, depending on how large the area is where the tile cracked, you might have to put more braces in and extend further out to additional joist.
