So Dr B acquired 119k shares at about 25 ?cents each, investing approximately $30k of his own money at this time.
What is the motivation for exercising his options now?
Could it be that he anticipates a significant increase in the share price and would rather exercise options at the low share price and get the common shares to hold from now?
Is this options exercise a preferable strategy tax wise for him and his heirs if any, avoiding the steep capital gains via the basis step up (in the USA)?
Am I correct in thinking this exercise implies Dr Bosch is expecting nwbo sp to start a significant increase soon!
Looks like a pretty sweet setup to me!!!
Oh Linda….?is that you?
Better than fiberglass batting and as the share price goes up I can punch a hole and withdraw some certificates
I’m currently down in Alpharetta for early
materials selections for the new retirement home that I hoped nwbo investment gains would backstop budget overruns.
The budget overruns are on time, however the nwbo financial backstop is running a little “behind.”
Too bad I can’t turn a tax loss carryover into foam insulation, casement windows, and a high quality roof!
A number of years ago I harvested the same type of tax losses in nwbo by first buying the same number of nwbo shares as I intended to sell and waited the time to avoid wash sales. This way I got the tax loss and didn’t risk my position and have been only adding since.
The funny thing is during 2022 I kept taking losses in a bunch of different stocks I wanted to sell to buy other better quality stocks, and by the end of the year it added up to a whopping big tax loss!
So you and I can compete for the title of America’s Biggest (tax sale) Loser
Finally got around to adding up my total basis in nwbo after continuing to pick up shares with spare change and a couple of sales of other stocks.
Much to my surprise I increased my total basis by about 50% while only adding about 25% of shares, due to picking up a majority of shares when the sp was around 25 cents plus/minus 10 cents to offset the shares purchased earlier at $3-12+ per share.
Anyhow, unless another price discount comes along, I am as all in as I’m going to get.
Now we wait for “Miller Time “ !!!!
I don’t understand how news of the long term survivors hasn’t already become a major news story.
However the great breakthrough news will continue to spread even by word of mouth.
Approval will be a big deal.
As they say, “it couldn’t hurt”
The sp will climb with the approvals, at some point getting into the double digits.
I’d do the $1.5 sp within 5 trading days of mhra approval, but not the staying above for X days, because I’ve seen blatant manipulation before and all it takes is a bogus sale. If you want to use a moving average maybe but it’s too complicated and more work to properly define the framework
I’d rather just enjoy the ride!
Yes, agreed the approval is the powerful milestone that should launch a positive move!
Whoever made that statement, that MAA approval won’t affect the stock price, would he/she want to make a grip it and sip it type bet?
Maybe a 2-3 month absence from posting on ihub if the share price rises 50 cents or more from any sub dollar price just before MAA approval announcement, within 5 trading days of the announcement?
That would be at least a 50% increase in the sp if it’s sub dollar prior to announcement.
We could similarly do a 33% increase if the sp is 1-2 bucks prior to announcement?
Feeling lucky punk?
Damn…. How do I get me one of those?
There have been real adversaries and coordinated attacks over the years. I know because I have been a shareholder and doing due diligence more than a dozen years, and the shenanigans have been real and many!
Despite serious efforts to damage and destroy nwbo the management has survived and I believe turned the corner and largely de risked the success of DCVax and the company sp.
We all fumble the ball at times, and suffer clumsily here and there, however persevering and keeping focused on scoring the winning goal, even in overtime, is what matters most. The fumbles and stumbles are learning opportunities to improve future performance.
Too many sports phrases? Yea no doubt!
I’ve got a feeling (a feeling deep inside oh yea) that nwbo/DCVax is going to be really popular at ASCO this year, and not because of the size of the booth, but how they use it
Nor because of a tote bag!
The good news is going to be rolling out more regularly in my opinion, right into ASCO and beyond.
Translation: there are many ways they screw retail!!!
That is the core issue with a R/S, the sharks will smell the fresh bloody meat in the water and convene for a feeding frenzy!
So the process of creating a newco would have to force the real and naked shorts to cover in a squeeze. Might work or might be circumvented by nefarious means.
A safer route is to keep the nwbo but still find a way to force the shorts to cover, like an uplisting or maybe some other method that might be available?
Any securities experts that can provide input and ideas?
Of course big splashy news of the approvals of the dcvax cancer treatment breakthrough and funds from a spoofing suit could help imo.
Agreed regarding a BP suppressing DCVax use in favor of recurring large cash flows.
I believe this is a key concern for LP and company in choosing the path for nwbo/DCVax and one reason partnerships and licensing might be the route they choose.
Jon and others,
Yes, I posted a guess and that guess was pretty wide open, however we all agree our educated guesses have optimism of higher prices with possible spiking, and that getting off the OTC and/or approvals will skew the price higher and more sustainable. The outcome of the suit is another potential positive.
Looking forward to more good things to come!
Yes it can spike higher even without a short squeeze, from a big FOMO pile into the cancer breakthrough treatment that might revolutionize or at least broadly enhance treatment, results, and quality of life!
I’ve mentioned a few times that a pre revenue company went from around a buck to around 60 in a 2-3 day period.
It didn’t last but it did shoot up. That example was for something much earlier, like maybe phase 1 if that, but there was good press and who knows what other promotion, and the fomo shot it up.
With the results and real promise and advanced status in the approval process after a breakthrough phase 3, we should already be a $5-$10 stock or more, if not for all the attacks and shenanigans imo !!!
$10-$20 per share but can possibly spike higher if news goes viral
Getting regulatory approvals is job 1 at this time. The other necessary and beneficial actions such as uplisting and the law suit will also be carried out, but not at the expense of approvals. Btw, carrying out the special’s program in the UK is also a given.
All in my opinion of course.
I think I saw CRL sp up about 5 bucks today. Wondering if they reported earnings or something else.
The MIA approval is foundational indeed!
The fuse is lit and the nwbo rocket is going to launch >>>>=====>
Is April Showers a friend of Stormy D ?
Sounds good to me!
I suggest Avalon for a variety of good restaurants. Savanna is great although at least 3 hours east of Atlanta.
Once we’re moved down we have to go to Nashville and Memphis in Tn.
I’m sure there are many beautiful places to visit however we have the limited northeastern set of touristy places like doing the Kentucky Derby, music city/grand ole opry, Augusta, savannah, Charleston, etc. And Denton/Ft Walter Beach…. Many nice Georgia towns and Carolina towns seem within reasonable driving distance!
Thanks, there’s always new construction and a migration into Alpharetta from the higher crime areas recently, adding to the population. But Alpharetta now is like my current nj area was 40 years ago in terms of undeveloped land, so we’re going from more congested to less congested, except for the traffic on main work commute roads, which seems higher than expected.
However being retired and the new house in the back end of the golf course development near the dead end the drive time congestion shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
I will have to adjust to being awakened by a rooster in the mornings (for real, there’s one nearby that loves to cockadoodledoo!)
Thanks, I’m looking forward to the change!
DCVax should be the biggest greatest medical advance in immunotherapy and oncology and yet the coverage has been nonexistent!
That kind of thought ran through my mind when nwbo first bought Sawston because I thought there might be some advantages since other pharmas have set up operations in Ireland, however I don’t know if there actually are compelling reasons.
The multi national multi RA strategy and less direct financial and political influence are good reasons enough for Sawston presence.
Unless I misunderstood what information has been shared, there is a time interval like 60 or 90 days after filing for the MAA, that a response from the MHRA is due by.
The NICE appears to be on board regarding timely recommendation of cost coverage.
So the end of August doesn’t seem very unreasonable for MAA approval if filed for by April.
Just like Rocky Balboa, nwbo is that underdog, under financed, street fighter seemingly incapable of keeping guard up but able to take countless blows to the head and get stronger and surer as the rounds go on, because Rocky has incredible heart and decency and loyalty.
Yo Linda (Liau) it’s me Rocky (LP) !!!
Liinndddaaaa!!! Liinndddaaa! We did it!!!!
Ain’t gonna be no rematch!
Sounds like a solid, promising, manager!
God bless you!
You and your families, which is all of us, are why LP and company have been fighting the good fight!
The money hasn’t ever been the primary motivation or we would have been sold out years ago.
I’m glad you’re going to enjoy the rest of the ride with us! There’s a whole lot more to come.
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall, oh yeah!
I hope so! Building our forever retirement home in Alpharetta keeps going further over our budget, and I would like to afford finishing and living in it comfortably.
Of course in NJ it would cost more to build and the property taxes would be about double
I love it near the Jersey shore but my kids moved south and it’s really nice and friendly in Alpharetta, and tax friendly too.
Just have to learn to golf again
Wise man that Buffet!
My investing success turned positive in a big way when I stopped trying to beat Warren, and joined him instead.
Yes, thanks!
Sweet!
Thank you for being a good sport!
You may have some redeeming qualities after all
The bad news for everyone is you have another month of my posts to deal with
OMG!
Does anyone remember which of the negative posters made the bet with me that if MIA was achieved by the end of March, he/she would not post for the whole month of April?
I’m looking forward to an April with one less voice in the negative chorus !
For those who have private messaged me, thank you I very much appreciate your thoughts and help!
I am not a paying board member and cannot reply privately and I’m limited to how many daily posts I can do as well.
Please keep that in mind if I do not reply and thank you again!
Go DCVax/nwbo and GLTA!!!
