Correct. Anal-yst just look out for themselves. At least GCOG was being looked at. The more attention the better. Maybe he said to avoid GCOG to fill their pockets and might let it run after. Who knows?... no one.
I read that this morning. I also read a report from Bellwether where the analyst said stay away from MCEL. I think that report came out yesterday. Take a look at MCEL today.. lol
Thanks for the answer. I am awaiting call from IR and a call I made to GCOG directly. Both calls were made this morning with no response yet.
I do come up with the same figures. So somewhere between $360k-$420k a month gross on those wells.
Is the 1 MCFD still flowing in Texas? Is there any other well flowing right now?
I am gonna hold and see what happens.
I really need to get my father in law to see what he can find out about the company. (if anything we don't know already).
So they are showing a false drop in the price, accumulating what retail investors are selling. Then they buy a large chunk at a discounted price causing a small uptick, then start process over.
So in all, it falsely drops? ... lol as I am writing this a 2 mil block went through.. upticked. unbelievable (not really)
Honest question looking for honest feedback?
Looking at the 1 day chart with 1 minute frequency, does anyone notice that when the price drops, volume is low? Anytime the price stabilizes or upticks a notch then there is a spike in volume. The price drops again with low volume.
Might just be me, something doesn't seem right.
I wish I would have taken initial out yesterday. It was probably the worst feeling I felt in a long time. It was as if someone stabbed me in the gut and turned the knife. Very hard lesson learned (hopefully). I saw the profits equivalent of vehicle go up in smoke. Beat myself up, but can't do anything but get back on the horse.
True that. It doesn't even look like that article boosted the price up all that much. What's with the low volume right now?
I have the exact same response from Galp Energia.
Even though the article is false (wish it were true), this isn't what has driven GCOG to these prices over the past week. Before Tuesday's run, there wasn't much of a pump. I still don't understand why it ran like it did. Sure, after the large run-up days, it might have been pumped but what made it start the rise?
Odd... same date applies to article on GE Energy Financial Services website. Did GE repost old news too?
No one bought on year old news.
Just trying to dig deeper into this.
Is this related to GCOG?

NEW YORK -- GE Energy Financial Services, a unit of General Electric Co. , on Tuesday said it would invest $115 million to acquire East Texas and Gulf Coast Oil and Gas Reserves as part of a partnership with a unit of Union Gas Corp. The new alliance, Union Gas Production Partners, L.P., plans to invest an additional $29 million to develop and produce proved reserves over the next two years.
Hard to say if there really is anything ever going on. I live in south Louisiana in the heart of oil and gas around here. My grandfather in law used to collect $40k checks a month for oil and gas on his land 20 years ago. My father in law that works at the Henry hub where they price the nat. gas at least heard of the company. (doesn't mean much) Hopefully he comes home today with some information on GCOG.
I know, I know.. I am terrible on my exits. Good on my entries. (bought 1 mil. shares at .001). I am a pig and I did get slaughtered. I need to hire someone to sit on the side of me with a baseball bat and hit me in the head when I should sell. I mean come on, $23k profit in a few days and now I have nothing to show for it. At least the baseball bat would have left a mark.
That's what I don't understand. I did not see much pump to show the large price movement. Very confusing.. is there something in the works? Who knows.
Thanks, I did buy more. I didn't post it on this board, and of course everyone else on other boards didn't even respond, but my father in law works for Chevron Texaco pipeline where they actually price nat. gas on the nymex. I asked him yesterday if he even heard of GCOG. He said yes. Now that doesn't mean crap, but I was surprised that he knew of a small company like that. I asked him to see what he can find out about the company.
my fault and mine only.. kinda hurts in the gut, but gotta get back on the horse. 26 years old and seeing that much money go down the tubes.. made me shake for about an hour.
lol... I lost all of my $23k profits. I know it was all of my fault.. and I feel it right now.
I have one question. First off, I do own shares of the company.
The question is, when and where was the big pump that made this run yesterday? Was it the news about Shreveport and that successful drill? I just don't or didn't see the big "pump". Honestly, please inform me.
Thanks
GCOG coming off of a low volume pullback.. they couldn't get anyone to sell... BBands are pinched... Next leg up?? (penny maybe?)
GCOG .0048 +29% 14 million volume
Thanks.. I actually picked up quite a few pennies today. Haven't done this in a while but love doing the research.
Now if only just one can make it........
picked up 100k shares... will watch closely
Yes I did see that trade. Somethings up. Lets hope it keeps going that way. Technicals looking better from that standpoint. We crossed the 10 day moving average giving a buy signal. The Stochastics are bouncing from oversold. And best of all, bollinger bands are squeezing tight.
I know what I posted about the institutions buying might not mean much, but has to mean a little something. I updated my Ameritrade Analyzer chart tonight and it also showed more institution buying.
All of this points to a good sign. I ended up doubling my position today on the strength also.
Well good luck to all.
Here is what I have for institutional buying. Yesterday I posted this on another message board but it seemed to pass by. (ignored for a reason?)

Distributed Energy Systems Books Orders for 7 Advanced Wind Turbines
Tuesday January 8, 7:30 am ET
BARRE, Vt., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Distributed Energy Systems Corp. (Nasdaq: DESC - News), an innovative leader in wind power technology, announced today it received orders for seven Northwind 100 wind turbines for use in Alaska and the Northeast region of the United States.
Four of the advanced 100 kilowatt wind systems were sold to the Alaska Village Electric Cooperative (AVEC), a utility responsible for providing power to 53 villages in Alaska. The other three wind turbines were ordered by Sustainable Energy Developments, Inc., (SED) an Ontario, NY-based company, currently developing wind projects with businesses, municipalities, residences, schools and farms in the Northeast.
Bud Cherry, chief executive officer of Distributed Energy Systems, said: "These important sales emphasize DESC's commitment to supplying state of the art, reliable, and cost effective wind turbines in extremely diverse environments. This latest follow-on sale to AVEC - their 15th through 18th Northwind units - is gratifying to us, underscoring once again this established customer's continuing satisfaction with the Northwind 100. We also welcome the partnership with Sustainable Energy Developments as we bring the Northwind 100 into the "lower 48" marketplace."
AVEC's four new Northwind 100 units are planned to be installed in its remote village diesel systems in Mekoryuk and Savoonga, which border the Bering Sea. In these wind-diesel applications, the Northwind 100 offsets the ever-increasing costs of diesel power generation. "In 2007, three Northwind 100 turbines provided over 20% of the electrical production for two interconnected villages on Nelson Island." said Brent Petrie, special projects manager for the Alaska Village Electric Cooperative. "That installation alone displaced approximately $85,000 in diesel fuel costs in 2007." Petrie said AVEC is evaluating the potential installation of wind turbines in up to 27 of the 53 communities it serves.
"The Northwind 100 will be a crucial part of SED's continued success in the Northeast," said Kevin Schulte, CEO and Co-Founder of SED. "The demand of projects requiring this size turbine matched with the respect we have for Distributed Energy Systems made the partnership and purchase of the three Northwind 100s a no-brainer."
With 100kW of rated power, the Northwind 100 was designed for use in wind- diesel applications, and more recently has been released as an alternative power generator for small businesses, commercial farms, small communities, schools and universities, and small corporate and industrial sites. The turbine uses gearless design and direct-drive architecture to deliver high energy capture and low maintenance requirements to a mainstream wind energy marketplace.

thanks on the qtww
I was stock screening and came across it.
It needs more confirmation, but could make a reversal and a run.
They are supposedly showcasing their technology in a couple weeks at an auto show.
