Like GTEC's partnership with Valens for extraction. Looking forward to seeing GTEC's ultra-premium vape fluid, shatter, wax, dabs, hash, and edibles on their own e-commerce website come October.
GTEC is smart to let extraction experts process their flower rather than incurring the major expenses associated with extraction lab construction. Valens will also be extracting for Canopy, Tilray, Organigram, Hexo, and other smart growers. GTEC is in good company. imho glta

Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation Has Arrived in Canada

Agree recreational sales will be the driver. The new deal with Canna Farms to sell GTEC products on their medical cannabis should be a substantial income stream. Canna Farms sales on the site represent 9% of the medical cannabis market for dried flower in Canada.
GTEC is already on the Canna Farms site with their Cold Creek Kush dried flower. They could become the #1 selling product like they did on the CannMart website. GTEC has some of the highest THC products on the market, and that's what most consumers want.
Patiently accumulating at this level while waiting for the new facilities to get licensed. That's when the price goes up. imho gl

Outdoor Cannabis Cultivation Has Arrived in Canada
http://thedeepdive.ca/outdoor-cannabis-cultivation-has-arrived-in-canada/
Amazing outdoor grow numbers Vivo should be duplicating soon. This company estimates yeilding 27,000 kilos (27,000,000 grams) from 27 acres on a 2M budget. Potential revenue at $5 per gram $135,000,000 million. Vivo has plenty of cash to do this on a large scale. imho glta

Vivo could join the exclusive 100K club below by planting just 75 acres of premium outdoor cannabis. They could surpass Aurora's projected 625,000 Kilo capacity by planting 1000 acres of outdoor cannabis. Compare 1000 acres cost to what Aurora has spent on indoor facilities. It would have to be secured to Health Canada standards as well, but that's almost nothing compared to building indoor facilities
Believe this is why the big box growers, with multi millions invested in massive facilities, were against Health Canada's approval of inexpensive outdoor cannabis cultivation. They said it was for security reasons. Like putting up a chain link fence with razor wire, security cameras and other minor costs compared to indoor grow.
Vivo and other small cap growers have a opportunity to steal big time market share producing premium sun grown cannabis. The way nature intended it.
Here's the numbers from one outdoor grower estimating a yield of 30,000 pounds (13,600 kilograms) of 20% THC dried flower from 20 acres planted in Oklahoma. It may not be as pretty as indoor grown, but its heading for extraction anyway.

Here's another outdoor grower in Canada estimating production cost per gram of .03 - .20. How can the big boxes or any indoor grower compete with this cpg.

The only way to get any love from from the national cannabis media outlets is to massively increase production capacity. Fortunately Vivo has the acreage to rapidly increase capacity using low cost outdoor & greenhouse grow.
Vivo's recent acquisition of 16 acres zoned for outdoor cultivation could quickly add 10,900 kilograms (10,900,000 grams) of capacity. Based on what other outdoor growers are projecting per acre. At $5 per gram wholesale that would produce a gross revenue of appoximately $54,500,000 million. That number would surely get Vivo some love from the cannabis press.
Vivo needs to continue acquiring organic outdoor cultivation acreage, and let the big box growers continue spending multi millions on indoor facilities. We'll see who gets to profitability first. Vivo. imho glta
Looks to me like BCWC was approved to grow 80,000 sq ft (1.83 acres) outdoors. Based on what other outdoor growers are projecting for yields per acre, it should produce approximately 1,800,000 grams of dried flower. At the average wholesale price per gram of $5 it would work out to $9,000,000 per harvest.
Other outdoor growers have projected a average cost per gram of .25 cents. So my advice to FF & BCWC is to get growing quickly to supply the retailers. Leave the lower margin retail stores to well funded companies that can absorb the initial losses required to enter the market. imho glta

Compared Q1 revenue results from two of my favorite premium cannabis companies Vivo & Flowr. Considering Vivo has a $146M market cap compared to Flowr's $447M MC, Vivo is outperforming Flowr in a big way.
Vivo net revenue $5.1M, Flowr $1.6M. Vivo income gain per share .02, Flowr loss per share (.06). Vivo net income gain $5M, Flowr net income loss $5.8M. Both companies are well funded with expansions in progress.
While Flowr and Canna Farms are well known ultra-premium growers, Vivo's acquisition of Canna Farms is still fresh, and the importance not fully fleshed out for investors.
Vivo has many subsidiaries under its umbrella but none with more name recognition than Canna Farms. Maybe Vivo should change its name to Canna Farms to capitalize on its new well known brand. Just a thought. imho glta
Big under the radar GTEC news. It was reported today that Alberta is ending its moratorium on cannabis retail stores. GTEC has a 25% interest in Alberta based retailer Cannabis Cowboy. The AGLC had processed 24 Cannabis Cowboy storefront applications before the moratorium took effect.
The Cannabis Cowboy website reports 20 stores are set to open across the province. GTEC will be the preferred supplier for all Cannabis Cowboy retail stores. Hopefully since their license applications were already processed they will get final approval soon. Good things happening for GTEC. imho glta

The market seemed to take a rational approach to Vivo's numbers today. The company is just starting to maximize the Canna Farms acquisition. Recently doubled production capacity for example. The Canna Farms brand is well known for premium & ultra-premium flower. Their reported price per gram shows consumers are willing to pay for quality. Let the big box growers fight over the commercial grade weed market. Canna Farms will supply the good stuff. imho glta
It's not hard to believe if you've been following CROP's guidance numbers for this years harvests. This supply agreement is only for the CBD crop in Nevada. Still expecting supply agreement PR's for the THC crops in Nevada & Oklahoma, which could be much larger deals. All depends on successful harvests, and then passing lab tests for quality. Still a ways to go, but good start having supply agreements in place. imho glta

Glad to see VIVO’s cultivation strategy includes cost-effective seasonal greenhouse and outdoor cultivation of cannabis for extraction. In Q1 VIVO acquired 16 acres zoned for cannabis cultivation within 15 minutes of the Canna Farms facility.
Liking Vivo's move into outdoor grow. Now they just need to secure the property and get Health Canada's approval to grow outdoors. The first outdoor grow license was just recently issued. Vivo can be a first mover in this space.
According to the report production capacity at Canna Farms will double its output in Q2. Over 30,000 clones have been propagated to fill the expanded space. Should make for a large increase in revenues over Q1. Company had a reasonable cash burn, excellent selling price per gram, and still well funded for continued expansion. Solid report imho glta

Frank any predictions on the license being approved at tomorrows meeting. Bought a few more shares just in case something actually goes right for FF. It could be big if they get it. imho glta
Once Tumbleweed Farms gets its license it will be able to grow outdoors subject to Health Canada's approval of the site. The indoor facility will take up just a fraction of Tumbleweed Farms 22 acres. The same Health Canada rules would apply for all GTEC's locations once licensed.
If GTEC can develop hardy ultra-premium cannabis strains to grow outdoors, and they have good organic soil on the property, they could produce a huge amount of ultra-premium cannabis for dried flower & extract sales. Big opportunity for craft growers with licenses sitting on large tracts of land like GTEC.
It will be interesting to see if GTEC takes this approach in the future. Sounds good to me. imho glta

This is the business model GBS needs to follow.
https://www.healtheuropa.eu/grogenex-meets-all-of-your-growing-genetics-and-extraction-needs/91738/
Things the company needs to do immediately.
End costly medical cannabis research that big pharma & big cannabis already control.
Focus on cost effective research to produce premium flower affordably outdoors.
Convert the Nevada facility into a nursery lab to supply their outdoor grows, and produce high margin THC/CBD concentrates.
Get out of cannabis unfriendly states, and move into cannabis friendly states.
Right size the company for this new business model.
End compensation shares until the company is cash flow positive.
Inform investors of this change in direction immediately.
Release a shareholder letter explaining how they plan to turn a profit, with a time frame, and revenue guidance.
If they do these things they have a chance. Otherwise... IMHO GLTA

GBS needs to shift away from anything not tissue culture related. The Nevada facility needs to move away from low margin dried flower, and move into high margin planlet production. They also need to be growing THC flower cheaply outdoors, which is allowed in Nevada & Oklahoma.
GBS has two things going for them. They have world class cannabis genetics, and they have the expertise to mass produce their genetics. Everything else needs to be jettisoned. The company needs to think bigger, and do it cheaper. If they make the needed changes I'll hold. If not I'll sell. Simple as that. imho glta
