The Department of Revenue said dispensaries made about $200 million in October, pushing the state’s annual revenue to more than $1.8 billion this year and making it the highest selling year since recreational marijuana hit the market in 2014. Last year, sales reached about $1.75 billion.
Consumers purchased about $170 million worth of recreational cannabis and about $39 million worth of medical marijuana in October. The state collected more than $35 million in taxes and fees during the month.
I hope that they halt too. I assume that they will. Halting is also a tactical way of bringing more eyes to the stock.
I am to the point that I just cant look. The stock does better when I am not watching it. I keep hoping that news is right around the corner. I keep watching OTC Markets page to see the short interest. I know that it hasnt updated since 11/30...but I would have assumed if news is to come that number will be going down. They cant all "get caught", can they? I also keep an eye out to see if any trades ending in a half-cent go through. I always assumed that was also an indicator that shorts were exiting....that or OTC pre-market type moves.
There is science out there stating that CBD can help prevent COVID. I believe there are several studies going on right now. That would be great if it does. That is also one of the main reasons I made sure to take advantage of the Black Friday deal...and then upped my quantity when I noticed both deals were active. I hope your wife is feeling better. Stay safe.
I am pretty sure the rumor was confirmed. APHA and TLRY will merge and keep Tilray as the name. Brendan Kennedy will move to a seat on the board and Irwin Simon will be the CEO.
Thanks for your concern. I have tried 5K and it didnt do anything, then I saw a Dr Oz special on it and even he suggested increasing the dose. There have been a few other studies suggesting 10-15k is safe, and even linked higher doses of D3 aid in COVID prevention. I gave it whirl and found that the 10-15K was what it took to feel 'uplifting' affects. I have been taking CHRGD daily for the last week...and D3 prob 3x per week since daylights savings.
Harlem, aside from water, I actually prefer it in coffee. I think the aspirin flavor is masked completely...cover the bitter taste with something already bitter. I wouldn't recommend soda pop, koolaid, instant teas...I guess anything with sugar, to be honest, because it seems to negate the sweetness.
I am glad that it is working for you. From everything that I researched, some can feel the effects (lower stress, lower anxiety and better sleep) immediately while others take time. Research suggests consistency and time are key. I have tried other CBDs for a month or two, consistently, and I cant say I felt anything. We will see what happens with CHRGD, I have enough to last a while...and this is the first product I am trying where I know there is research behind it to support it. My issue is that I am also taking D3, because it is winter, and I know D3 (10,000-15000IU) works for me...essentially providing the same benefits.
I can tell you for a fact that CHRGD works when you consumed a little too much cannabis and you are trying to lessen the onset of paranoia.
Future...your post has been added to the stickies.
Where is the recovery to 1.30? Or did we all just get bought out on that spike down?
My feelings exactly Hoop...just not your same level of trading experience. That is why I appreciate the veteran knowledge I find on this board.
You know what is funny Knife. I went out to play in the snow as well. I have the bases of two melting snowman left in the yard...the temp outside went to 60 degrees...so I took my daughters out and just had a mini snowball battle with what was left. Not really thinking my small 1.25 would get hit...but happy now that I have a nice round number. Bring on next week.
I had a tiny just in case as well...and could have had more had I thought my just in case price wasnt already too low.
...and I'll even keep Mrs. Claus company while you are away on business. Thanks for being a team player Lazur. ;)

I dont have any more nails left to bite...
HAHA, I did the same thing. Mostly because I was thinking today would be the best day to release the news, right before the shareholder meeting, a meeting that could then go on to say...with your help, look what we were able to build, and we are only getting started.

Future, I think you are right. I remember ages ago Andy said something like Purple Bees and Mesa Organics get their product from Los Sueños Farms. Whether or not that applies today, who knows, but the farm is not part of Schwazze.
Yes, dido. I called Customer Service because my email showed the BOGO but the receipt in the box did not. They told me it was a marketing mistake and only the 70% off should have been applied, not the BOGO. I told them that wasnt my fault and the Customer Service Manager had to pass it along to someone else before emailing me that they would honor the BOGO and ship out the other part of my order Monday. I obviously wasnt pleased by receiving half my order, nor the first line of defense to seem like it was handled appropriately because it was a marketing issue...and the BF deal was not to include the BOGO...but in the end it was worked out and they honored their mistake.
DD, I would pick SHWZ over CC anyday. CC has a lot of debt and has yet to prove that they are capable of executing their plan. They are also a MSO, with a presence in NJ. They will get their 15 mins of fame...I think that will come once this second round of FOMO wears off on the major exchange listed Canadian companies currently spiking based on US industry news. Just waiting on ours...which will come.
That is definitely interesting about Brian Ruden being tied The Green Solution LLC.
Columbia Care spent approx $140M to acquire twenty-three of their dispensaries/grow facilities which completed on Sept 1, 2020.
HR3884 is underway on the House floor.
https://live.house.gov/
Looks like it was the postponed voted from the debate earlier...it still had the HRes1244 and said consideration of HR3884. The outcome seems to be a very positive sign for tomorrow.
Knife, there is a vote going on right now.
We had a better debate yesterday! It looks like you are right. PR Newswire just posted (19mins ago): The House will vote on the MORE Act tomorrow, December 4, 2020.
Yeah, still scratching my head. I wasnt sure if the 'postponed' meant that they were wanting votes counted on paper before deciding...or if they are postponing even bringing it to a vote? Just waiting for someone brighter than I to sift through the nutter-fluffing and announce the outcome. Total let down. I am glad I didnt waste the time to make popcorn. I should have realized that this wasnt going to be as good as I initially thought. My 6 year old puts up better arguments. Actually the winner of this debate is her...because I told her I would give her a piece of candy if she stayed quiet while I listened.
3:01:14 PM: POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on H. Res. 1244, the Chair put the question on ordering the previous question and by voice vote, announced that the ayes had prevailed. Mr. Woodall demanded the yeas and nays and the Chair postponed further proceedings on ordering the previous question until a time to be announced.
3:04:05 PM: The Speaker announced that votes on suspensions, if ordered, will be postponed until a time to be announced.
She went off on a tobacco tangent, a plastic straw tangent...commented on Oregon going super progressive and then tried to tie it to brownies. LOL!
Hear, Hear!
Finally getting to it.
30mins into a 1 hour debate and they literally tickling each others prostate. There was no real debate here. The only "argument", which isnt one, is that they are complaining that this is receiving more attention than COVID stimulus. Then poop or get off the pot. What a waste.
Looks like they might be debating HR3884 on the floor right now:
https://live.house.gov/
Chris is against the 30-1 and has several times said that he would like to get the number closer to 2-1. I, obviously dont know for a fact, but took the 30-1 in the last form as more a worst case placeholder...and more so clung to the range that they used for the shareholder vote.
So Pots, Ally Financial allows investing into "F" stocks now...for an upfront fee of $50 per transaction plus commission to buy and sell. Sorry Hill Street. When it is available in the states I will make sure to do my part as a consumer.
Yeah but Robinhood investors are budget investors. They are like a flock of geese. They see anything under $1 as a steal and have total disregard for due diligence. Except in this case the strategy would work...and they would eventually have a winner.
Is LXRP on Robinhood? Then I would have agreed with you.
That's how I understood it. A 1 hour discussion on the House floor. Same concerns I stated were raised. The only refute was not that tax revenue would be directed to research...just that since it would be descheduled it would open the doors for research. Then confusion was added by a man stating that was putting the cart before the horse and his suggestion was to keep it scheduled and move it down. To that, I am against...sounded like a strategic big pharma injection. The 1 hour discussion on the House floor sounds like it will be very interesting. I got a vibe from the gentleman speaking on behalf of the Republicans (in the upcoming discussion) that he wasnt going down without a fight.
Knife, thanks for the link. That was an interesting listen.
How many $3-$5 shells are out there? I am glad that they are not merging with a shell. It shows Bunka cares for his existing shareholders and the value of the company. I would be POed if they acquired a shell and all the existing flippers sitting in the (previously dead) stock cheaper than the shareholders who have been supporting the company while on the OTC.
Thanks. I am well aware of the bill, the sponsor and the past history of marijuana. I am not against any of the issues that it focuses on...they would be HUGE steps in the right direction...I am just not for something, that imposes a 5-8% tax, to not be all encompassing. Some of the revenue should go to other important aspects surrounding cannabis...especially research.
I am sure I am in the minority but I want it to get shot down. In my opinion, the MORE Act doesnt go far enough to benefit the industry in its entirety. Sure it includes 2 important aspects, but really its primary focus is on redistribution of wealth. The bill does not funnel any of the imposed tax revenue toward public awareness for cannabis (like they forced the alcohol and tobacco industries to do), it does not fund addiction recovery programs AND, the main reason for descheduling it, no tax revenue will go toward scientific/medical research. I know the Rules Committee is in the process of tweaking it...including a slow increment in the 5% tax to 8%...but this bill alone does not seem like a good thing for the companies operating in the space nor the consumer of those products. It also essentially gives a green light to the black market. I think it is too big if a step too soon and it would be smart of them to postpone it once again. Right now the main issue of this bill is a HUGE consideration for ANY state that is going recreational. I know the federal govt wants their cut, but if I was them, I would keep the decision at the state level and let the states work out the 50+ years that the government imposed racial injustice. Then once the coast is clearer, change federal law and then take your cut.
