Thanks Zu for this Scooby Snack. All very well documented. This is getting fun.
I'll second that. If no one replies to him, guess what? His posting is a waste of his time and stops eventually. He's not like Zu or others, posting useful info. He's a mosquito sucking blood out of you people. It can stop, but probably won't because some here enjoy the banter and like seeing his responses to their posts. To each his own.
Sure enough he was. My apologies Bio. Too quick to read into our drug not living up to expectations.
Don't be a buzzkill Bio. Still too early to say market won't be in the billions. As you mentioned, the CVOT is the game changer that we're ALL looking forward to. Lots of time in terms of minutes, hours, days to pass until then. Not many in terms of weeks or months. Focus is on the big picture.
Zu, please know that all your posts provide useful context to our investment and personal use of Vascepa. I have saved several of your posts in my email folder the past two years. Do not abandon us like some apparently have. I was not prepared to hold AMRN stock this long ( in my case since mid '13), but I have learned a great deal more about this drug's benefits and other possible uses through you and others. I've used my max of 5 Ignores and can't believe the difference in thread flows. A daily reader should be able to figure out the proper combination of said iggys for their own relief.
You are like a professor, if you reach just one or two students a semester you have done your job and are successful. I'm sure there are more than one or two of me's on this relatively small board. We seem to be close to our AMRN 101 class concluding in some part of 2016. Hopefully there isn't the need to enroll in another class come 2017. Please keep the info coming. This is the only way I can contribute meaningfully.
Acuz, liked the breakdown on your other post. I didn't want to continue on that thread because of you know who. Way too much attention given to that donkey, but people keep doing it.
To your other topic I ask, how much can a "short" really expect to make over the last year and a half? Anyone that's done moderate DD would have a tough time arguing it's going to zero. Aren't they playing with fire to make pennies on the dollar? What long, educated retailer is selling at these prices?
Here's a plan to use $ savings from 2016 coupon. Normal Co-pay drops from $40 month to $9, so multiply savings by 12 and I can buy 180 more AMRN shares and when it rips past $20 I'll have my Vegas party funds.
One line item that should be added to HDG guess the date list is Yes or No if you currently take Vascepa?
Curious what our I hub group % is. I'm on month 15.
Could, we all reach our tolerance thresholds at different levels/ stages. When I put him and a four lettered fruit on ignore my post streams got a lot better. Had to add "far" spelled backwards to the list because he won't stop the fight and that helped also.
Main- at the 5.4% event rate you will be at 25% before the Dec. 17 meeting. Maybe that will be enough time for DMC to notify AMRN and then give the goods to FDA. Pure fodder at this time, I admit.
Thanks Chas for the breakdown.
Another way to look at it in simplistic terms is: There is roughly one CVE occuring per day and the RR% goes up 5% for each month the trial continues past January 2nd based on 5% constant placebo rate.
You'd have to think DMC would stop at 40% in early May?
The long lost pen pals are at it again. No one will ever agree with the other. We all know except for you two.
Hey SOS, Tell that to family members who may have benefited from Vascepa a year or two ago if not for this jack-n-box FDA. Another curmudgeon has spoken today. The list is getting rather lengthy.
Yeah Zip, I feel real fortunate to be able to take Vascepa for $9.00 a month off label. Even if the coupon goes away at the end of the year $40 per month co-pay is still a great price for preventative medicine and future well being.
There is a music group called Mogwai, and they have a song called "White Noise." How ironic.
Raf, thanks for apparently stopping the cage match with him. The board appreciates it.
Raf, now you're on Ignore because you keep fueling these tirades with two posters. Why do you continue this snivelry? Rhetorical question.
bid and raf... PLEASE follow Fishy's advice 2 days ago and put him on Ignore. It took me 5 seconds to do so and I now have a little better flow in my post readings. If just a few more of you do the same it will be an even cleaner AMRN board here.
Click profile box on left and tab Ignore. Otherwise the repetitive drivel continues ad naseum. It's up to you.
Does any analogy or metaphor click with your GIA line of thinking? Are you publicly chastising yourself for not selling, because only one rebuke towards AMRN is enough. We get it. Our reading comprehension on this board is above average.
Thank you Anna, it's really hard to say it any clearer! Plus, what was the alternative Mog? To this day I still don't remember another option. Adcom morphed into GIA and AMRN put their big boy pants on after said event.
Mog...Don't worry about covering prior tracks. You are in the clear with any type of pontification regarding AMRN and it's future proceedings. The past warnings are duly noted.
Hypothetically speaking-If our daily posters were a hockey team, we'd have plenty of available line changes from the "Nervous Nellies", the "I Told You So's" and "The Princes of Darkness". Of course, the true goal scorers have their own line shift and we know who they are.
BB- Welcome back, again. Did you think that Cherry would not show any promise or parallel benefits to Vascepa and past trials? I swear you've hit just about every angle of this story over the years and yet the abrupt 90* turns are dizzying sometimes, Captain Bio. The CC was indeed epic panic for some and more cryptic DD code for others. We are still headed in the right direction with our EPA treasure map from AMRN, IMO.
Fishy and others are bringing their AMRN "A" game this morning... I am always stoked to wake up on the west coast and read over 40 posts by 7:00 am. I'll take his last line about nit pick and expand on something mentioned before here (grammar) that we can/should practice more in future posts -at least until Reduce-It is done. For some, the everyday, elementary challenge:
There/ Their/ They're
Where/ Were, We're
To, Too,
Your, You're
Our, Are
*Peek, Peak (already touched on this week)
The point is, there is a difference for each of these words just like our various opinions on this board are different. Some will retort, "get over it", or " I'm just lazy". That's like a doctor comparing Vascepa to Lovaza with all the current EPA info readily available. No discernible difference? Not factually so, IMO.
- A 3 year stockholder, 2 year (AMRN only) iHub reader, and 1 year Vascepa user. I approve this message, and the soap box is now open.
As we near the end to season three of the FDA's own in-house mini-series, "Scandal", it will be ALL about the science.
And this "stuff" is 96% pure EPA. Who would want anything else but pure liquid gold? That source....we know as the one and only VascEPA.... I hear the Reservation just sent out an APB on a mercurial resident that goes by BB. Get back home partner before the Dec. 17 curfew.
doggy where are you? Are you chewing up the Cherry results? Seek a little "short" shelter over the weekend.
Thanks Benny! Love the percentage change in plaque regression! Can't wait to read other's thoughts.
I'd say many people are in the exact same situation as what you've just outlined. I am a 4 a day user and shareholder. However, your shares aren't going to be treated any different than mine because you repeatedly state that you've mentioned something on a post countless times to someone who may be asking a question for the first time. There's been plenty of patience on this board from veteran posters over the months and years regarding same topic discussions. I'd say we're forced to exercise the same role with the New Jersey AMRN brass. Especially since that group isn't changing their starting lineup anytime soon,IMO. Who'd leave now with so much on the horizon?
I sure would like to see a Vascepa pop-up ad to my right when I'm reading this board's posts instead of the Krill Oil garbage that appears randomly. Thanks to all for the opinions of the last 24 hours. You'll leave no stone unturned 6 ways to Sunday. Keep it coming.
Another helpful service reminder from Captain Obvious re: RI. How on earth would anyone expect riches after your doom and gloom models?. I hope you succeed in scaring some to sell. I wouldn't mind a few more cheaper shares between now and Dec. 17th if they indeed become available. Lots of idle time now starting tomorrow. IMO the bet on Reduce-It success is not akin to a trip to the roulette wheel and playing red vs. black-a true binary action. More like holding a 9 and a 2 and the dealer shows a 4. Not too stressful to double-down and watch what happens on a $1-20 dollar bet (based on when you sat down/ invested at the table/ AMRN stock.)
The dog and the mog. Combo the contrarian enthusiasm. Pathetic? Not the posts on this board.
roadhouse and investorfreaklovenumber- have a nice weekend together.
Jekyll meet Hyde.... The update of another delay (a consensus prior to today's posts seen as more company failure) has actually banded the group together it seems. I'm looking forward to future posts from Mr. Mog and all of our other scribes. It sure is tempting to beg and borrow for a few more shares in the Roth and brokerage account. Future returns on AMRN stock bought today can't be found under the mattress, piggy bank, or savings account. Kiwi will still tap the "Diversify" drum as we wait and pontificate until mid December.
Reduce-It hits the homer and gets the go ahead runs with scripts and increased coverage. However, you forgot to mention it's a twilight double-header and the 2nd game is all about EPA and it's many future uses. The 40 patents are ready to play.
Agreed.. Has every one of those 40 odd "work" days in the last two months been used constructively by the FDA or is it equivalent of putting off the 10 page term paper until the last night before it's due? Progress reports are handed out tomorrow. Hey FDA, no early trick or treat garbage.
Classic! Ifreak 69 might also want to join the teleconference. The PFE/ Allergan merger talks today had to be disclosed publicity due to Irish law, according to CNBC. Apparently the phantom BO talks that JZ dealt with were immune from this requirement? All those requests for proof that these deals ever took place are still awaiting this board.
Based on the majority of price targets floated on this board over the last year re: successful Reduce-It and, or BO figures, not one long-term holder will lose money here in the upcoming 1-6 months. Think about it. Even if you loaded the truck at a high of $19.00, it is highly unlikely that you will be selling at a loss when this gong show finally wraps up. And many of us have averaged down over the years from what I've read. Christmas is coming and IMO we aren't getting coal this year. After watching some WSOP this fall, I'd go all in on the AMRN pot.
Logically speaking, we're in the early innings, rounds, front nine, laps (pick your sport) if just 10-25% of the EPA based studies and trials presented over the last year prove to be scientifically successful long term. I had the same hollow feeling as many fellow longs did around this time last year when sub the $1 figures hit and the poseurs kept repeating the doom and gloom. I forget the writer but I remember the post. It was something like "put this stock away for 15 months and then open it back up." Well, we are closing in on that timeframe soon, and I am of the belief that the wait will be worth it. Yes it would have been sweet to have snagged several thousand shares at the capitulation point of $.78, and many hopefully did, however, in another year I think that we'll review Mogwai's supposedly scary price of $1.83 and say " if only I'd been able to grab a few more shares back in late '15." I have learned quite a bit from all who post info regarding EPA and the amazing healthful benefits. It certainly has helped with DD and keeps me focused on the exciting future ahead for Amarin.
