IDCC would not be in existence today
Data, what makes you say that?
Sons, how would you rank your confidence on a scale of 1-10? I'm thinking about 80 percent in IDCC favor. Time for another vodka........
Gotta say Sons, I admire your spunk after all these years. This stock is not for the meek. Btw, has your alcohol intake increased lately?
A new license and we're up a whopping 7 cents. I wish they would mention financials in their releases. JMO
Olddog, maybe I have you figured all wrong, but I sense a little pessimism in your recent posts. Just curious, do you still own shares of IDCC? Tia
O M G ! ! ! ! Up $0.76 on huge volume of 104,000 shares!
I like it.....maybe Miller is buying.......LOL
Aah, the infamous Pnokio delay tactics. JMO
GBR, could you paste it on here for us to read? Tia
Thanks OldDog. I guess 12-19-13 can't come soon enough for me!
Ok, but what happens if a ban is enforced on phones manufactured by NOK/MSFT? Maybe I don't understand the legal aspects of this case.
Thanks OldDog, but now I am more confused. So, they are really saying that Nokia would be still be liable for any damages even after the sale of assets. If true, the decision on 12-19-13 would have zero affect on the NOK/MSFT deal. Is that right? tia
Sons, me thinks the key word in that recommendation is "successors". If MSFT is the successor, then your thoughts would be correct. JMO
Either InterDigital has wasted the past 40 years of creating wireless technology that Nobody uses...or they are about to get Paid...
Or the likes of Nokia keep weaseling through the loopholes for years on end.......but I hope (and am betting) you're right. JMO
Sheesh, it appears all roads lead to Apple......just sayin
Data, that chart is inaccurate. It just shows $40 spike in 1999-2000 when IDCC actually spiked to $82. JMO
Loop, IMO you could beat Foss with half your brain tied behind your back.
At this juncture, I wouldn't mind being called "lucky"
After all these years I'm not sure luck is involved.......a better word might be tenacity, lol
Rak, you are probably right, but right now anything can happen between now and 12-19-13. I for one would not want to be on the outside looking in if a settlement were to happen before the 19th. I guess most of us have placed our bets.........JMO
Its apparent that IDCC has many loyal, long term share holders.....which is a good thing (I think). I bought 1800 shares in 2003 and have buying small chunks here and there ever since. I think my basis is around $16. Forgot to mention that my wife transferred one of her 401's into shares about 6 years ago.....so yes, I'm either an idiot or a genius. Hopefully we'll find out soon......very soon.
Btw, I traded one time and lucked out. Sold 500 shares in 2007 in the low $30's, bought them back a year later for $19. I know lots of guys here trade, but I worry about being out when (and if) a big deal happens so my trading days are over. Enuf rambling...........lol
Jeff, just curious, how long have you owned IDCC shares? tia
IDCC actively researches and invest, and if they ever sell themselves, the entity who buys them would either be a troll, or if they actively researched and invented, then they would not be a troll.
Doesn't it just piss you off. Not just becasue of IDCC.
But because every little guy or small company that actually invents something should be able to benefit from their idea, if it is legit and they actually have the wherewithal to patent it.
The companies that built the marketing, sales funnels, manufacturing and logistics are a beautiful thing. That is a huge barrier of entry for any one trying to compete with them.
But to stifle all innovation because someone can't compete with you on one level is soo . . . . un-american to me.
True dat!
Nokia (which is in the future going to be more of a patent licensing firm than a product business)
How do you spell Hypocrite?
They highjack the conversation with the use of terms like Troll.
IMO, it was determined that a troll didn't design or invent things related to IP. Trolls would simply purchase patents and try to collect fees for usage.
IDCC designs and invents most of their technology, applies for patents and when patents are granted, IDCC should be paid by those who use said IP. Hence, IDCC is not a troll. JMO
That date or a settlement announcement can't come soon enough for me.
I can hardly wait, too. But, we have to be careful what we wish for.....hopefully the decision is in favor of IDCC.
Yep, they have my vote!
Yes it is a small world. Sometimes I wonder how deep corruption delves into the world of justice.
Well, we've recouped some of losses from the last couple days. Up about 3.5%. Btw, where is our resident "Warren Buffett"..........I wonder why he seldom shows up here on up days. JMO
Hock, I found this link regarding Alston & Bird. Apparently Jamie Underwood is pretty keen on the ITC process.

SCREAMING BUY!!!!
Now.....that's the Mickey we remember from days of ole. I only hope you're right.
"Q4 revenue excluding past sales misses analysts estimate"
They neglected to say IDCC missed to the upside. Fricking crooks.....all of them!
mickey...I guess the only time the longs are in control of things, is when the price is going up?
How ironic....it also seems that certain posters here don't post when IDCC share price is going up!
Hey Dave, please don't misunderstand my post.......I sincerely hope your expectations are accurate. I've never played options or shorted IDCC. I'm one of those suckers that bought shares long ago for for about $18 and have added a few shares on the dips. Believe me when I say there has been WAY too many dips.
Yea, and I hope the comment at the bottom of all your posts regarding $800m in revenue comes to fruition. Right now it appears IDCC has a long ways to go. IIRC, your comment has been there for about a year already so time is running out. Btw, your comment says you won't accept anything less......what will you do if that goal is not achieved? Tia
It's called taking a profit. Some people lose over a million $ because they don't know what that means :)
And thank God there's always someone to keep reminding those people. You really know how to push the dagger in and twist it. JMO
Question about IDCC shareprice:
IDCC has almost $20 per share in cash and is trading at only $38. How many other public companies are trading at less than double cash on hand? tia
Hopefully,IDCC will continue to spiral Upward as well as Immersion Corporation Tomorrow..Stay Tuned:
Buddy, are you spamming another stock?
When Merritt first started talking it sounded like he just hopped off a treadmill. JMO
I'm hoping he was excited about something that he was unable to talk about over and beyond the already good content in the CC.
Is it just me or did WM seem overly excited during the CC? At times it sounded like he was even breathing hard. JMO
Wowzee, we are now up 11%. Gotta say......I like it!
Are they waiting on a Nokia settlement or IDCC win and then going to be paying over a $100.00 a share. 2014 should be loaded with announcement after announcement of great things I think. Buy now or wish like hell you had.
Mickey, IMO, some investors are waiting for a few dominos to fall before jumping in. I imagine IDCC is on lots of "watch" lists, however.
