good2be: good answer. I for one don't want Mr.Huff spending any of his time personally answering disgruntled shareholders 20+ question. The fact that there are many shareholders wanting information, including myself, the mere magniture of questions and answers on a day to day basis would leave little time for him to run the company. The place for the Q&A is at the stockholders meeting, not a trillion email questions. People have to remember that they are not the only ones wanting answers to many questions about GTE. Mr Huff has more than a full plate just running the company day to day. Put yourselves in his position - would you rather spend your time growing the company or answering a bunch of questions from individual shareholders constantly. I vote for developing the company to become a telecom force of the future. You either believe or you don't. Everyone has the unbelievable opportunity to research(DD)on the internet like never before. Use it and let the GTE management team develop the company. As I posted on another board, the last time I looked this was still a free country where individuals can make decisions and suffer or rejoice from such decisions. Everyone has a choice to invest in GTE or not - take your pick! ken w
Seems to me that anything that GTE does is complained about by some on this board. I thought that this board was supposed to be one that supports GTE, not trashes them at every turn. Now it's the press release 6 months ago, GTE shouldn't have mention that they were in any talks with Russia. Lest anyone forget, until the announcement last Friday, NO ONE suspected that such a fantastic deal could possibly be struck. All it takes to turn some board members against GTE is an article written by some slep that probably has an agenda against GTE. That's all it takes, 1 article. I for one think GTE has done a great job putting some deals together that no one on this or any other board thought would happen. Tim Huff is a CEO trying to grow a company so that all stockholders will benefit in the long run. I've read several posts that critize Huff for letting the stock drop to 2.01 prior to releasing the news about Russia last Friday. Huff cannot protect any investors that short the stock, use margin, or swing trade. Geez, people expect he is bad because he didn't keep the stock from dropping? Huff cannot control this stock - there are a lot of forces arrayed against any stock that causes wild gyrations as most everyone knows on this board. Give GTE a break. They are a small company trying to succeed. If people don't like what they do and how they do it just get out of the stock all together. And don't forget, every person on this board has his own personal agenda (to make money using their own trading techniques which is great)The last time I looked this was still a free country where everyone has the right to make choices and suffer or rejoice from the consequences of such choices.
Happy new year to all on this board. ken w
Doctors: Thanks for the reply. I guess we are in for interesting times in the next several weeks! ken w
jfburk: I completely agree as I have always felt that TA / charting etc doesn't take into account all the unknowns that a company like GTE throws into the mix, IMO. Where is this wrong? ken w
glow_beatle, you are absolutely right. Therein lies the problem, finding another pond. I just read a response on this board from the IR dept, and a good point was made, ie "the way to beat this possible illegal activity is for GTE to make a lot of money, and that's what they are in the process of doing". ken w
dinotori, I agree with your comments about the share price advance today. It was held down - the news was too good not to have a better upward movement in my opinion. ken w
glow_beatle, but does that sword cutting the other way make it right? Understand your point, but if in fact there is illegal action taking place at the AMEX, GTE needs to cut bait asap. Just my opinion. ken w
glow_beatle, just saw this link and hope it will answer you question about the requirements to list on the NASDAQ. Maybe this helps. ken w
NASDAQ Listing requirements(see Standard 3):
http://www.nasdaq.com/about/nasdaq_listing_req_fees.pdf
glow_beatle, I really don't know all the specific pre qualifications for a stock to be accepted onto the NASDAQ. Maybe someone on this baord can answer that question. Not sure if it strickly a share price that is the determining sole factor. ken w
design333, not saying anything, just passing along a post from another board. In any event, if a move was to be made I would hope it's not back to BB. I really don't know what an option would be, if any. At this point I would lean toward speculation/rumor but an interesting post nevertheless, and you never know, there could be some basis for a move as stated in the post. Just an opinion. ken w
ijeffrey, I agree completely with your comments. This time is certainly not an exit point as a lot of positive things are about to happen, IMO ken w

Reporting from Florida.......
I have just heard from what I believe to be a reliable source (Pembroke Pines) that our days on the American Stock Exchange are numbered and few.......The sheet has been torn, so to speak, between our financial advisor and the BOD of GTE. The obvious manipulation and catering to the short entities has not gone unnoticed and is being dealt with as I type.
Good luck to all longs and .......with the impending change of exchanges, the shorts will have to cover QUICKLY!!!!!
Go GTE
This company is a life altering investment!
P.S. Don't ask for any more details than I have given. I won't respond!!!!!!! Take it for what it's worth or simply ignore it and do what YOU want to do.
This is really going to be a great investment!!!!!!!!
(Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long; ST Rating- Strong Buy; LT Rating- Hold)
After Transat5 posted his MM signal chart several months ago, I have watched the trading daily and must report that I believe the signals are dead on, especially when a 300 share block comes through. When that happens, 9 out of 10 times the stock price drop several cents and fills are made at a lower price. Right after those fills are made, the stock returns to the higher price that it was prior to the 300 share block. Several days ago, a 300 block came through and the stock instantly went from 2.04 to 1.90 where 20,000 shares got filled, along with many other blocks at 1.90 price. About 20 trades later, the sp moved back up to 2.04. This chart and these stock movements have been forwarded to GTE IR department for review. I've seen settlement blocks get put through AH of some magnitude, usually between MM's, but rarely during the trading session. This is IMO only.
Pit - that move was after a 300 block traded which is "Take the price down to get the shares". And they(MM) got the price he wanted to fill the 20,000+ order. I really think the MM's play games with this stock. Look up Post #6733. Very interesting. I've been watching the trades since it was posted and I think the codes are right on. ken w
To all concerned, I emailed GTE in reference to power restoration and they replied "we do have contingency plans and our office power is back on as of this afternoon". The part about contingency plans refers to plans by GTE in the event of an earthquake in Calif. knocking out our switch. I was just wondering if there was a plan in place. ken w
justfrank: Try the below link and see if this helps. When you get on the page, on the left side enter GTE. ken w

PS: You can just click on this link and go to the AH board.
serious1: Thank you so much for the info on the show. I gives me continued faith that GTE is a winner and the best is coming soon. Thanks again for all your efforts. Hope your kid gets better soon. Regards, ken w
FYI - can't post a reply on the TA board nor can I send an email to you from the TA board about the problem. Thought I'd try here. ken w
It appears that all the charts and TA etc. really don't mean a thing if you have a stock being attacked by deep pocket short sellers. It seems that all the rules go out the window. I know nothing about reading the charts. I'm just observing what is happening with this stock. Any thoughts? ken w
kevinaok: Where do you see the Video link on the web site? I can't find it. Thanks, Ken w
bors: I agree with you, but remember at the time the changes were made was after DOD and NASA got involved. The weight with Sanswire1 was not the issue at the time, but to the DOD, stealth was everything, thus the change to composites. Of course the better weight to lift ratio is great and most necessary, but at the time weight was not Sanswire's main concern. We all benefited from the change, but, IMO, it was brought on specifically for purposes of stealth and the military application. Also, in the latest PR with the German Univ, did you notice that they mentioned ongoing research for various different types of airships? It appears to me that the airship developments may be customer driven and that there will be a variety of different shaped airships dependent upon the customer requirements. Just my reading.
Had a thought about why the the materials of the airship frame were changed in mid summer from aluminum to a composite material. IMO, the military wanted to have no, or minimal, radar signatures for the airship while stationary over a war zone. If no radar signature, no ability for a lock on by an enemy missle system. Also, the small amount of equipment carried by the airship, cross section wise, would present little if any signature. And of course there will be scarce, if any, heat emissions from the electric motors, airlifting gases etc. So, GTE made the changes to meet the military specifications, and as a result, benefited greatly in the changes for future productions of their commercial airships using this techinical upgrade. This thought may have already been posted, but just decided to add to the discussions. Ken w
imawswami: Thanks for the clarification on the Edwards site. Based on your description of the fences etc, I would agree. Thanks for your efforts in reporting what you see. All information helps. Ken w
imawswami: As a speculation, and nothing more than a pure speculation, could it be that a documentary or news release is in the works using the Paramount crew, since they are so close to the Sanswire hanger? Seems to me that if the area is restricted, as I've been led to believe, a film crew in a restricted area is very strange, especially so near Sanswire. Just a thought. I have no reason to doubt what you have noted in your post. Ken w
firstclassnewbie: You are right. I wasn't thinking of the "increase". Appreciate you setting me straight on this issue. Regards, Ken w
rtb_all_american: You seem to be correct. The math is 22=(X)7.5. Therefore X = 293.33. I'm like you, the way they account for Quarter over prior year Quarter may be another math and other elements may be thrown in, but straight forward math shows 293% increase over same period last year, not 193%, IMO. Thanks for pointing this out. Anyone else have any comments on this issue? Ken w
Redwing1, Please tell your brother to get his resume' into GTE ASAP, if he hasn't already! He has the right idea about marketing and IMO he would be a definite asset to the GTE team. Please encourage him to take action as soon as he sees fit. And thank him, personally for me, as an investor, for the excellent site he put together in support of GTE and their Sanswire vision!
Ken w
Gatherinfo, I know you were not. I'm just glad that there is such a great site out there. I had a good response from the Investor relations group this morning and maybe they will try to incorporate Mr. Best's link into the new GTE web site. If they don't, maybe they will get some good ideas from it that they can use to continue improving the site. By the way, I have been reading this board for months and decided to join. I have read a lot of excellent posts written by you and others and I know that this board is basically behind GTE. Thanks for your response. Ken w
You are so right. I have already thanked Matthew Best for his excellent site. I merely posted it this morning for members on this board to see. Also, I cleared this post with investor relations prior to posting here as well as providing Mr. Best's link for GTE's review. Ken w
Starboy, prior to posting the link I cleared it with Investor relations at GTE. They now have this link.
I don't know if this is old info but this is a great link about Sanswire. Really promotes the product correctly. Some may enjoy looking at it.

Hi, I'm new to the board but saw your message about the mpeg file size. I'm not sure if you are trying to send it to individuals or not, but if so, you may want to try sending large files on MSN Messenger. If you are trying to post to a board etc, I don't have any suggestions. Just a thought. Ken W
