Main, we've seen this movie before with BB. His feathers get wet and he needs a little time to dry off. Mercurial sums it up best. He'll be back. Just a little ticked off at congress( who isn't these days) with regards to the AMRN/FDA gong-show. It's understandable to have disappointment over the years.
All this waiting has forced me/us to become more patient. Tolerant? No, There's still a few yardbirds here that chime 3-6 word posts who are useless. I believe every conceivable combo of R-I numbers and dates have been levied and now we're waiting for the DMC smoke signal at the Vatican.
DM, clearly there is some type of agenda with regards to his incessant regurgitation of questionable R-I success. I've been a daily reader of all posts here for the last few years and I've identified certain "people/alias" as "rinse and repeat" and he falls into that category. To beg that you please don't keep asking the same question is the biggest joke of all. All Kiwi does is repeat his combative stance with Vascepa success along with statins. Again, who spends quality time on this board for sport with no financial gain at the end of the day? It just doesn't add up. As for me, I can't add any scientific or mathematics to this board just some sarcasm and defense of valued posters such as Zuman. I'll use my 3 posts a day to back Zu anytime anywhere. . It's not Koo-aid induced either. It's respect for his consistent help and genorosity.
Not sure who has the bigger set of blinders on. Your "docs" or you? For them to throw an arbitrary 10-20% number down says they gave about 10-20 seconds of thought to the whole R-I study and it's potential. I'm fully content to wait and see this all play out in the next few months. I'm just not buying what your selling us on this board. Never did. Back to ignore.
As they said on CNBC, some people look through different windows with regard to current PPS. Let it pop in a binary event fashion at the interim/RI announcement and see a simultaneous short squeeze as well.
Kiwi, Most likely these 38 posters all have skin in the game and are invested. At this stage in the game ($1.27 buying opportunity for you last week) you may be the most passive aggressive I've ever read. Are you capable of timing the market low for the sake of pennies vs. dollars?
Certainly the mood around here has been pretty sour lately and for good reason (short term only imo). However, February is approaching along with a specific date 2/17 and possible other events to look forward to (NCE, interim?). PPS is just a manipulative game it seems now and a risky "in and out" environment with pending news on the horizon. I know I'm stating the obvious to most here. If a buyout were to happen upon impressive interim numbers in the next 1-5 months then Mog's worrisome dilution talk is moot. Does he have greater insight than anyone else or is it just being controversial for the sake of it? After all, he hasn't even been posting here 6 months.
Still don't know why some are so adamant that there will be no interim stoppage? BP wouldn't want to proceed pronto with impressive numbers >22%? All we have is time to ruminate until told otherwise.
Kiwi, it's been a head scratcher for awhile now with your constant attention seeking posts from the sidelines so I had to figure out why and I did a Google search not on kiwi the fruit (too easy) but the bird.
"The Kiwi birds have many weird and and wonderful features thanks to New Zealand's ancient isolation and lack of mammals." " Kiwi are flightless. They belong to an ancient group of birds that can't fly- the ratites." "A single roaming dog can wipe out an entire kiwi population in a matter of days."
Well folks- that about sums up it up regarding his AMRN position or lack there of.
I'm all in Fishy. Admittedly just being sarcastic to the few that troll spewing the same rehashed fears from the past. The ones who can't muster up more than a six word essay. I remember all the delisting talk and the countdown days when we were sub $1.00 I believe in the risk/reward theory on this one and have added recently.. I can't say this enough. People like you, Louie, Zu, JL, HDG, Marzan, could, Sam, north, BB, and a few others along the way have kept this board of Longs grounded and focused. Great DD by all for years now.Thank you all!
Fishy you nailed it. I'm going to CC: this to doga, freak, Mog, Kiwi, AF, and ....fill in the blank, so they can read and re-read and commit to memory. There's really nothing else to say from the dark side.
Freak the moderator. What a disconnect.
Attention all shorts: the current ask of $26.25 is approaching and IMO a legitimate price to completely take us out of our long positions sometime in the near future. Your time to accumulate pennies down here is borrowed time just like your short positions. Tick tock.
Garbage in garbage out
Get back to watching Price is Right and re-runs of Sanford and Son.
For someone who has been here for 4 months you probably have accomplished your boss's goal of getting under most people's skin. So kudos to you. But he keeps giving you the same memo points and you're running out of regurgitated lines and hypothetical examples. No mas. The game is up. "Carry on my wayward son. There'll be peace when you're gone....don't you cry no more."
Whatever you say Mr. Moderator
Pitt, it's obvious there is no pertinent background to him. Just an intolerant poster who can't do a little filtering of his own and size up this board for what we are. His I told you so attitude wears thin in this patience test we all are in. I doubt any of us have sold on his fear mongering, so I question his use of time here. It's all innuendo until our shares are removed in the form of an undisclosed BO. Tic, tock sums it up best.
Oh great sage, I'm still under your spell. Give me an "ah ha" statement. I just bought 2,000 shares today at 1.53 and have been long for longer than you've been poking around this pretty astute group assembled here. It's been a dollar cost average thing for awhile, admittedly on the way down these past few years. That being said, the overwhelmingly number of posters opposed to your repetitive rants here at this point in the game understand what is left to occur. Your Johnny come lately attitude has worn thin. I took you off ignore just for a little sport. A key word in all this is "Binary" and most here have come to understand that type of investing situation we're experiencing.
I'm throwing in the towel oh great swami. Please tell me what to do on Monday and for the rest of my life. I need your guidance. Your trance has worked.
More info for our PCP to order the EPA/AA lipid panel on all future check ups. Eventually it will become standard operating procedure I'm guessing. Thanks Zu
Good going Biobluntanair. Rattle the cages and shake the trees.
And you're listed as a moderator on this board? I don't get it.
Awesome Benny! I'm saving this story in my EPA/ Vascepa arsenal. Great contributions today from the crew. Thanks you guys
All alone in your cubicle with only a small group to reach out to. And your boss thinks he's going to singlehandedly move the market by us all selling? Be sure to add +1 on the Vegas invite so he can come. Can't decide if I should refresh my ignore list. It is a bit of comedy on such a quiet posting day.
Do we refer to it as the EPA: AA ratio or should it be the AA:EPA ratio when in discussion?
JL, what will most likely be used in the medical community 0.0625 or 16:1?
Let's all try and get on the same page with the EPA/AA lingo. Bio's last paragraph in his post was indeed confusing and his reply even more so to north4000. High EPA/AA shouldn't lead to CVD.
We are all striving for a high EPA/AA ratio, correct? For the medical experts here- what is considered a good ratio number? What are extremely low and unusually high (if possible)?
This apparently is needed info to communicate with our own doctors going forward. Thank you.
Hey lad, what is the movie you reference while you've been in your rabbit hole these past few months? One guess., "The Prince of Darkness"
Bull, I hear you. I was sarcastically trying to state that our core group here probably don't know too many Vascepa docs yet who would have the time, etc to blindly write a Rx. It's hard enough to get one in person according to some reports here. I do hope she gets in touch with one doc down there that gets it.
Bull, any PCP can write your "friend" a prescription. Come on, your 1% ownership clout doesn't afford a local doctor who you can extol the virtues of Vascepa to? Every adult knows some type of Doctor these days but not many who arbitrarily write a prescription to a complete stranger? Are you serious?
rag, you're replying to a one trick pony as well. I don't receive his posts anymore but get the filtered messages from the people who keep posting. Does anyone ever think they're going to get a " you know what, now I see what you mean", or " I stand corrected". It's not happening, yet the defensive AMRN banter continues. Sophomoric
Zu, I concur. Buffett said words to the effect of buying when others are scared. Icahn and Soros wouldn't want to see mobs of bandwagon followers to their camp as well until the last moments before liftoff. We've certainly had time on our side to accumulate in our individual portfolios. Again, thanks to you and others here who have provided valuable DD (at least for me anyway) along this mercurial journey. Happy Holidays to the AMRN faithful!
On Main Street?..... We've already hashed out the positives of >$10 share. Get your tap shoes dusted off over the holidays and lace them up for the new year:)
Sam, appreciate the efforts. Their reply obviously wasn't hot off the press. It was like cold leftovers from Thanksgiving that keep getting reheated in the microwave.
Ray, north of 30% efficacy and you're not buying the company for under $20! You can sell yourself at 15-18 but the big boys have to see a larger number based on future uses, etc. Numbers >30 are of epic proportions don't you think? Forget today's stock price. Just concentrate on a potentially multiple blockbuster drug that may help in more than one indication. $15-18 is a fire sale IMO. Think of the Pfizer riser and how much that blue pill has made. Or Lipitor for that matter.
JL, many thanks for another shot in the arm, especially on a weekend! Many would benefit from re-reading this post once a week for the next 2 months. A couple people have been spoon fed some really valuable insight lately that most brokerage houses probably couldn't muster up in a timely manner like you and others here do for us. And yet we hear of "a million ways" AMRN is still the equivalent of buying a scratch off ticket. The hollow feeling when we hit .78 intraday is long gone with the feeling now of a kid waiting for Christmas Day just two months away now:)
Like many have stated, good luck to any bashers who think they can scare off any longs on this site. There can't be more than a couple hundred at the most anyway. The anemic volume of shares traded on average say most are holding tight. Sure it's been a day-traders dream over the last year. Short in the morning and buy back later in the day to the tune of a .08 - .12 profit. A risky proposition with pending suits, etc,but resulting profits none the less. I think all would agree that any R-I efficacy rate over 15% will be considered a success and of BO value to someone. It certainly seems to be shaping up for results north of 15%.
In conclusion, some people here can make a cup of coffee nervous. Thanks for a patient post JL!
Dancing, I'm with you. Obviously we are not priced to perfection here at $1.90 and not wildly popular according to a few pesky posters. But watch out if it comes to be a commodity play as JL has alluded to a few times. Sub $3B isn't going to get it done Main- I'd never put in a $10 sell order with all of Zu's valued info, etc. I'm asking Santa for 5,000 more shares courtesy of the delay.
It's the franchise value we're concerned with, not some arbitrary "2-14" record. In baseball if we were talking a .350 batting average people would be pumped. Ok enough sports analogies.
Here's something for people to ponder. If the future BO price is pegged to the R-I efficacy % are you happy? Anything above $20 and not a single dollar has been lossed by any long here and many more have been made along the way more than likely.
BB/JL/HDG are the three legs to "our" triangle of debate/banter( sometimes it appears as the Bermuda Triangle) All of you are equally valued here! We don't need any of you taking your toys out of the sandbox and heading home. We are literally weeks away from some fun stuff IMO.
Zumantu sounds like a sweet venue name!
dude, I agree with your reasoning. Short of someone from the inside tapping us on the shoulder and saying " buy some more", the opportunities to average down ( most of us here have a higher cost base I'd assume) have been around for awhile. The " no reward without risk"adage is staring right at us. Selfishly I'm glad for the delay because it gives more time to gather a little dust in the pocket and add to the share count. Mentally I'm calculating a ten-bagger at today's prices and will gladly take oxygen at BO prices higher come '16.
Maybe AF is Mog in hiding and he's just winding a few of you up?
