Great find. ATTBF is reaching the eyes and ears of bloggers in this space again. That's very positive IMO. Awareness is growing.
I agree that a buyout attempt is unlikely, at least for a while. Would not be surprised if a large, more informed investor, perhaps even a few of them, are grabbing up what they can while ATTBF sits below a quarter.
I'll reflect on the possibility of an Abattis takeover, but at the moment, I'm unable to think of a reason that a low pps would prohibit it. Perhaps there's some convertible securities standing in the way until it reaches 0.75 or some other level? I don't recall any such thing in the financial reports.
Abattis' Northern Vine Labs Receives Controlled Substance Licence
Abattis Bioceuticals Corp. (the "Company" or "Abattis") (OTCQB: ATTBF) (CSE: ATT), is pleased to announce that Northern Vine has received a letter from Health Canada and a copy of the licence informing that it is now an authorized Licensed Dealer.
"We wish to congratulate the Northern Vine team on this important milestone for the Company. We have remained patient in obtaining this licence. We persevered and were granted Licence No. 2016/6368 for our Northern Vine facility.
'The licence allows for the analytical testing of samples of cannabis received from holders of a valid licence issued under the Narcotic Control Regulations, the Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulators or from an individual authorized by a valid exemption under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to provide, deliver, transport or send fresh or dried marihuana or cannabis to licensed dealers for the purposes of analytical testing.'

Ugh. A dump of about 3.5 Mil at the lows, between 0.0024 and 0.0025 to end the day. I'm not liking the looks of this, folks.
Whew, it's been a long time since I've been able to say this in this sector, but here goes.
If ATTBF can hold 0.16, I am really liking the looks of the charts. Very bad news for those holding out, hoping to get back in sub 0.10.
Ha ha, oh that ATTBF. Not this again. Large volume trades at the lows, near 0.125, and a few thousand here and there at the highs, 0.14+. Nice bounces up and down, but just a tad overrated :)
Clinging to edge of the 3's. It's actually holding up better today than I expected. Let's see if there's strength near the end of day and who's willing to hold on over the weekend.
The time in between is about the same for my other stocks, but it dawned on me that pretty much all my long-term holdings that pay quarterly dividends are with companies that have a strong international presence and investor base. Ford would certainly fit that description, and that may have something to do with it. Perhaps the record verification process takes longer.
Even 30 year U.S. treasury bonds are only paying about 2.5%. F at minimum has double the yield, and if you're of the opinion that foreign and domestic sales will increase, you can eventually expect a lot more.
Lots of MJ stocks being punished today. Quite a few double digit losers, some even close to -50%. Meanwhile, ATTBF remains steady. Seems shareholders here are patient and willing to wait out further news.
Really wants to test that support level at 0.40.
Ford's Attractive Dividend Yield: 4-5%
Love or hate Ford, you can't ignore the attractive dividend yield. After falling to the 11's, the annual dividend yield jumped to over 5%.
Ford has suggested the continuation of the current dividend yield in the near future and the declaration of special dividends at the end of the year, based on the net income. Buying Ford in the $11-12 pps range could produce a 6-7% dividend yield for 2017, potentially even higher. And that yield may continue to gradually increase over the course of the next 5-10 years.
US and China sales are already showing improvement, and Ford does not show any signs of halting its steady trickle of rewards to long-term investors.
Always do your DD and weigh the pros and cons of adding F to your portfolio.

Have to give credit for ATTBF holding up well on a dreary day in the markets. We seem to be developing some nice support at 0.12.
They always have a little over 1 month gap between the record date and payment date. Why? To check and verify all shareholders on record before distributing the cash, which takes some time.
For example, this was the same process for Qtr 3:
"Ford Motor Company Declares Dividend for Third Quarter 2016
DEARBORN, Mich., July 14, 2016 – The Board of Directors of Ford Motor Company declared a third quarter dividend of $0.15 per share on the company’s outstanding Class B and common stock. The third quarter dividend is the same level as the regular dividends paid in the first and second quarters of 2016.
Ford’s capital strategy is to maintain an investment grade balance sheet, finance the One Ford plan and deliver shareholder value.
The third quarter dividend is payable on Sept. 1, 2016 to shareholders of record at the close of business on July 28, 2016."
I wanted to wait and buy this at 0.40 flat, but just reviewing the history and current valuation, I can't bring myself to do it either.
I just feel like TRTC is that disappointing $3 well special you order and find out it's nearly all cheap mixer, just a few drops of whiskey. Seemed like a good buy at the time but..
ICBU is probably closing red, yes.
Usually, it's pretty quiet between about 11am and 3pm (EST), but there's a bit more volume posted right here in the middle of the day. Not sure if it means anything.
This is why I was waiting to see if 0.004 could hold. I'd guess there's plenty of day traders in ICBU that wanted to see if we were going higher the next day, but they don't tie up their cash for too long or care to risk a downturn wiping out their quick returns.
You have to decide what kind of position you want to take here. If you believe more good news from ICBU is imminent, yes, at some point, I believe we'll see another pop. When is that news coming? Hard to say, and if it takes too long, more and more will start growing nervous and sell off. That's just the nature of the beast.
Awful day for the markets in general, and that's not helping ICBU today. Some argue that doesn't matter and impact penny stocks, because these stocks are entirely driven on news and progressive innovation. I'll disagree though. Especially when you watch everything from blue chips to pennies, a red day impacts attitude and decision making.
I sincerely hope he is putting money back into ATTBF. Rene David and Abattis are intertwined very tightly together. As ATTBF longs, it seems we'll live or die by his actions and progress.
This was debated at some point last week, and the short end of it is that no one seems to know if Mike Withrow still has a significant amount of Abattis shares or if he's still associated with the company in any capacity, whether as a backseat managerial role or consultant.
I wouldn't be surprised either way if he's in or out. It's a mystery yet to be solved.
Well I suppose it emphasizes the fact that Rene David has additional motivation to keep Abattis alive and running, even if it's not making meaningful progress toward a path that brings value to shareholders. No accusations or quick judgements intended here, as I don't have all the facts about Mr. David. But we should keep in mind that Abattis has been paying him in more ways than one.
Mike Withrow is Chairman at Arcturus Growthstar Technologies Inc, CSE: AGS, and OTC Pink: AGSTF.
This is essentially "GrowthStar LED" if you're familiar with them from the past. Growthstar LED posted some experiments with LED technology and other setups that resembled Abattis' Biocubes in early 2015. This led to quite a bit of speculation that Abattis was moving towards something bigger and about to make an exciting announcement. But it just fizzled.
One could further speculate that Mike was hoping to join the forces of Abattis and Growthstar together into something more long term, and for whatever reason, it just didn't pan out.
Ha looking back, I guess there really wasn't a lot of news here, other than an indication that the former CFO, now CEO, Rene David was already receiving additional compensation for leasing out his own assets.
Congrats to longs. I know it's a red day, but ICBU holding the line at 0.0040 is a pretty strong statement IMO. If it can do the same up until about noon tomorrow, I'm probably going to get off the sidelines and into the game.
GL
Ugh yes, agreed.
Mike never seemed to perform well behind a camera. It did seem like the result of a lack of confidence, though until now, I suppose I never attributed that to potential half-hearted management and limited awareness.
Now that we know he was mixed in with other companies and dealings, it makes sense. There's only so much time and resources a single man can give, and when you have a mountain of interests and responsibilities.. well..
Mike Withrow was never as boisterous or arrogant as, let's say, a Bill Chaaban (FITX), but I do remember some occasions where he probably let his lips fly more than he should have. Which means that behavior could have been doubly true for workings and deals behind the curtains that people like you and me weren't privy to. Couple that with the Testing Labs in Washington, and sure, HC had the motivation to punish Abattis with the silence treatment.
Now, hopefully HC feels that Abattis has "done it's time" and can be free to continue where they should have been 1-2 years ago.
Very true. I'm not seeing any strong evidence supporting Elray as the soon to be announced acquisition, as mentioned in the ICBU Oct 11 PR, but sure, it could certainly be another company ICBU picked up along the way.
Elray was just ordered to pay civil penalties of $50K to the SEC, and it appears they could have a cash flow problem. It's not unthinkable that ICBU saw some value in their assets, swooped in and said "We can take care of this."
It's slowly drawing eyes from far way, and I think any PR this week would probably push it past 0.15. Yes, I also think it's very positive that ATTBF is holding 0.10 with plenty of room in between.
The scrolling ticker bar at the top of the IMD Companies, Inc website shows the following in order:
http://www.imdcompanies.com
ICBU
EXMT
ELRA
AAPL
GOOG
I'm not sure I'd read too much into the ELRA connection just yet, since Apple and Google seem to be randomly placed in the rotation. I agree it's suspicious that it's sitting between IMD related tickers and the tech giants. But looking over the financials on OTC Markets, I'm not seeing what "100 million dollar revenue producing" asset that ELRA would possess.
There's some good news. Maybe Chinese auto buyers are fans of Matthew McConaughey? :)
So we're at quite a standstill between the high 0.003's and low 0.004's. My guess is we'll see more weak hands during the second half of the day. Watch that 0.0035 level carefully if looking for an entry point, because I think there's enough commitment to keep this above the 2's for at least another day.
Right. I certainly would not sleep easy while shorting F. Forget it.
Apparently, F will pay supplementary dividends again at Q1 next year. I'm understanding this is about 50% of the net income before taxes etc? So the total dividend for next year could be between 0.75 - 0.85, with a supplemental dividend of up to 0.25 or so.
Ok agreed. Not that I have these strict expectations, but if we don't receive any further news by Friday, I think I'll plan to submit an inquiry early next week to see if IMD can comment further on the projected timeline.
Nope. Cute, but that has nothing to do with it. I suppose you could argue I missed the opportunity because I didn't buy in yesterday or bright and early as soon as the market opened. But I didn't catch wind of the action or PR until later this morning. If I had bought in then, I'd actually be losing money at the moment. :)
I'd be quite disappointed if "shortly" involved more than a few weeks in this case. I'd hope for 5-7 business days or less, to be frank.
Retest of 11's. Ouch. Come on people, get out there and start buying cars.
Please :)
PPS is up partially and perhaps almost entirely due to the PR. Without the continued release of positive news, ICBU is a slowly rotting fish.
That forces me to guess if anything will be released in the very near future. Because if all goes silent for several days, there's nothing left to keep the existing PPS propped up.
"PLACERVILLE, CA, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ .. Once financials are received from auditors the company will announce the name of the company and expects to do so shortly."
How shortly is "shortly" going to be? That's the real question. :)
I'm all for getting the real story, truly. But the red flags poking out of the PR's, for me anyway, aren't easy to ignore after playing with many of these stocks. PR patterns designed to raise emotion, and obviously the stock price as a direct consequence, that just fizzle away is one of the oldest tricks in the book.
Hey, I'm hoping for the best. I want to enter and make some more money. Just not liking the results of the smell test here. It's far too easy for a subsequent PR to read "Unfortunately the target company announced as a hopeful acquisition on October 11, 2015 released financial statements that did not meet our criteria.."
And fizzle.
