Tampa: One idea might be that third party attestation is a highly volatile subject as demonstrated in the past. Maybe the gorillas are requiring Wave to limit their exposure as it relates to their role in the TCG. The role of attesting to interoperable platforms. Just an idea?
Kev: "The odd smoker who lives until s/he is 80 is probably the same probablility of the PC user who has suffered serious fraud - they are both 1 in a million unlikely chances. Maybe that's why the market isnt accepting wavx." Makes me laugh!!!
Right?! The only problem is that this poster doesn't have his head in the sand rather has an agenda in my opinion. But your right that it's just a matter of time....
You wont get Awk to respond as he is far above this. Unfortunately I am not this evening. Please refine your approach for another try.
Since you asked for any thoughts.... Your not fooling anybody on this board. We have heard this approach countless times over the years. Go back to the drawing board and try again.
How right you are my friend... Many of the posters on this board who don't own any shares obviously will be prepared to buy quickly considering the time they spend on this thread attempting to convert the "lurkers" so to speak. They will be "sitting there" on the next rise and i'll bet you a dollar to donuts they convert themselves at about $4 a share. A small price to pay for a potential $80 plus stock down the road. I have a couple friends who used to give me a hard time about the share price two years ago especially when it was at .82. I told them I was loading up at those prices and they would laugh. When the Intel announcement came they scrambled to buy. One bought at $3.25 and the other at $4.09. They were so happy when it hit $5.24. Now they are back to giving me a hard time about the share price.... Oh well. I'm sure most of have a similar story here.
By the time the results arrive the share price will make it tough or impossible to own a substantial volume of shares if your the average Joe.
Weby, you summed up exactly how I feel in one line: "Better to have loved Wave and lost than never to have loved Wave at all....and the game is still afoot!!!!". It's been a fun ride and my money has been well spent no matter what the outcome. Jeff
RWK, I like your thoughts! Your correct that Wave will need significant news in the next 90 days. I think the news will come. Jeff
Barge: I'm already drunk and going to bed. I'm on eastern standard time. jeff
Given the 25 million shelf offering and the facts of this CC I would believe Wave is hunkered down for a longer haul than previously anticipated. Unless Barge is correct in his claim that Wave is tied into Janus then I would suggest that we will all be holders of a delisted stock in three months. Personally, that's ok with me as i'm in this until the end and I still believe we will be there when the dollars exponentially increase.
Steven, I still believe in you man... But please quit saying we have a "cool technology". We all know it's cool but the question is are you?
Greg: Although we haven't agreed on much in the past, I have to admit that without blockbuster news we won't go another three months without realizing the "pink sheets". Jeff
So you double your sales force and focus on the nations fortune 100 companies and what would the result be? With a close rate of say minimally 25%, wouldn't Wave at least be a 1/4 million ahead in the game? Even after paying out salary and commission? Better than 6k.
Barge: You have to be drunk about now? Oh, you are on Western standard time so i'll give you another hour... Jeff
Rustyjack: Being a realist by nature would have me remind you that SKS predicted breakeven by mid 2004. Now he's guaranteed we will not see a million $ for next quarter and for all we know at this point breakeven might be somewhere in 2006. I think even the bashers have a right to vent their frustrations. I believe this will happen and I'm going down with the ship. But SKS has not been realistic in the past. I'm a huge SKS and Lark fan so don't get me wrong. But you have to admit this CC is tough.... Jeff
Bring on the hurricane!
LOL...
I hear you....
My breakeven is $1.39 at this point and i've already made my money back from selling high and buying low. Having said that, I invested in this company for huge returns. 6K of revenue for a quarter is disappointing for ALL of us. I just so happen to use laughter and humor to glide through tough circumstances. Why not have fun with this? Jeff
6K of revenue for three months say's it all.... I'm not collapsing just venting as Jaybeaux explained. It's healthy. I think? Jeff
Tampa: Two more quarters of this Horse - - - - and you'll be reading my posts mistaking them for yours.
Thank goodness I dont have a dog or the dog police would have me locked me up already.
You almost got me to laugh harder than I did when I read the revenue results for Q2....
Hell, I could have made 6K selling lemonade on the side of the road for three months. Although I still firmly believe the sun will shine on each of our hind ends down the road, I do have to admit that these numbers are embarrassing. Opposition in all things I suppose.... If the measure of success is equal to the measure of slogging with this investment then that success has to be un-imaginable. Jeff
Feeney: Yada Yada Yada......
Whomever made the brakes and the fuel tank most likely made a whole hell of alot of them in the past and a whole bunch of revenue.... 3M has made a killing at this business philosophy. I can only hope Wave does the same.
Tampa: Let us all not forget that last year at this time Intel validated Waves existence by announcing a bundling agreement with Wave. Wave traded millions of shares at that time and many of us made a few bucks if we were smart. Intel re-validated their relationship with Wave with a more in depth bundling agreement involving Grantsdale which will support their entertainment PC business model. This is hardly connecting dots? Why would Intel agree to such terms unless there was a significant market for the entertainment PC and they needed iron clad security? Is Wave not playing a significant enough role in this space that Intel is creating at this time? Do you honestly think Wave is participating for free? Will entertainment PC's be the "Wave" of the near future? Your correct in claiming "show me the money". I believe Wall Street would agree as well. But guys like us have to be smarter than Wall Street to make the kind of money in the stockmarket to put us in retirement at an early age?! This takes research, dot connecting, and most importantly patience and stamina! You state: "While I consider it a benefit to have so many attempting to continuously connect dots for all of us who've tired of doing that years ago, I also consider it to be a reminder of hopes constantly unfulfilled." Are the dots not different from today then in the past? I believe they are. I don't seem to remember any bundling announcements with one of the gorillas in years past?! This is the eleventh hour and you have wobbly legs from a long past with this investment. I have personally felt you many a day with this investment over the years. I think many of us have at one point or another. But the question remains.... Is Wave in the eleventh hour of success or not?? You tell me? Jeff
Thanks Tampa!
Tampa: Well reasoned post... Even though I dont completely agree I do feel ya man. I think we have all had days with this investment where we have felt the same way at some level. I would only remind you just as Snack has reminded this board numerous times that "SKS has projected the revenues for Q3 and Q4." Snack himself has claimed he will be dissapointed if SKS's forecast does not come to fruition. I will personally for the first time since my initial investment lose faith in SKS and his ability to generate revenue. So let me ask you... Do you think Wave will pull this off or not? Jeff
Micro: History does repeat itself. Last year at this time we were sitting in the same position in relation to share price wondering what the hell to expect next relative to future announcements. We all know what happened at the beginning of August 2003. I've been feeling the same calm before the lightning strikes just as I did last year at this time. An announcement linking Wave to Janus wouldn't suprise me at all. Like Barge, I haven't seen a credible post disconnecting the dots between Wave and Janus thus far. Let's hope the Barge dowzer is on point on this one! I personally think it is.
Thank you Awk for the summary and clarification! Jeff
Barge: You write "The key question is whether the Entertainment PCs coming out in volume by the major OEMs towards the end of this year can offer premium wireless home content WITHOUT TPMs bundled with Embassy software which would provide Attestation and Interoperability?" The answer IMO is absolutely not! The question I do have is how many of these entertainment PCs will be available for the Christmas rush this year?
Doma- Hell of a post complete with tech and vision! Some times the obvious is right before our eyes isn't it? Jeff
Right on BowWAVE!
Fair enough, just wanted to know for the record.
So Player... Does the shoe fit or not? Have you had another handle in the past on this board? Be truthful now.
Horseman, Investor ROI will be ample if the MSFT scrap is just a billion?! I appreciate and share your excitement about the Wave sponsorship. Demoing KTM for 30K+ IT Managers across the nation is a significant move towards closing new business and ultimately to realize the revenue we have all been waiting for. Jeff
Da Devan Dolla and myself are looking to attend here in Atlanta on the 5th of May.
Michaele, a pearl of great price... Nice post!
