Doma/Unclevername...re revenues...I agree with Domas take on reporting revenues. Although CPA maybe able to give us the accounting perspective on this issue.
Sincerely,
Jas
rachelise...re breakeven...
Thanks to Unclevername..."So in other words on the OEM licensing royalties alone with minimal upgrade business we should be able to get to cash flow breakeven by the second quarter of next year."
Sincerely,
Jas
Dutch...re share price....the price is what it is....now that was truly profound if I say so myself I think that we are seeing some selling from the warrents being acted upon. This will pass and our share price will gain traction. For those of us who have not fully invested and have been looking to do so...this is a good time to do so...IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
Rachelelise...re breakeven....I guess we have to wait for the transcripts to see how badly I've twisted SKS words
Sincerely,
Jas
Guv...re Q2 07...He said that we could be at breakeven by Q4 if he had modest uptake or Q2 07 if there was very little uptake. At least that is my recollection.
Sincerely,
Jas
AWK...I agree with your contention that SKS appears to be low-balling. I think we need to see either infineon or hp fall into our camp at which point the market will finally wake up ...or maybe not Furthermore, I agree with CM that Japan will be HUGE. I think the fact that NTT data is on the verge of signing a contract with Wave systems although most of the Asian OEMs use infineon chips is very telling....Something that the market is also ignoring.
Sincerely,
Jas
re we learned nothing new...
For those of us who believe that we learned nothing new....in addition to CMs wonderful posts...I would like to throw the following observation. In the worst case...SKS said we would reach breakeven during the second quarter 2007. Lets examine this comment further. Our current burn is roughly 5 million/quarter. The worst case would imply virtually NO upgrades. How do we arrive at 5 million dollars.....Well that suggests that during the second quarter of 2007, SKS is expecting at least 10 million units to be shipped that are bundled with waves software. FWIW
Sincerely,
Jas
Go...re DOD...I don't think that contract was finished during Q1
STM...Will obviously contribute to the revenues...but you're talking5-10cents/unit
Dell...doubt we will see much during Q1
Seagate...possibly Q3
Broadcom andWinbond prepayments...earliest would be Q2
I'm sure someone will correct any of my mistakes
Sincerely,
Jas
Go wave..re 400k quarter....WHY? Dell did not start selling their new line of products until this quarter. Gateway started ramping up 1/3 the way through Q1. IMHO..Q1 is a nonevent in regards to our share price.
Sincerely,
Jas
DD re everyone...I'm not sure that is an accurate contention. Q1 is not going to surprise anyone. Revenues will most likely be between 40-500K. What the share price will react to is the commentary regarding Q2 onward to the end of the year.
Sincerely,
Jas
If some warrents are in fact being acted upon...then it is a necessary evil with the resultant additional funds to the company. Short term pain for long term gain
Sincerely,
Jas
The weakness maybe explained as simply as the possibility of some warrents being acted upon...or a few traders who are taking a small profit. Nothing more significant imho.
Sincerely,
Jas
CM...Very good points ....as ususal !!
Sincerely,
Jas
Re CMF....I guess he's bought back in...drats!
Sincerely,
Jas
Go-kite...refinancing at market
Go...don't forget that they weren't even brought to the table with warrents...now that speaks VOLUMES!
Sincerely,
Jas
Dig space....nice re-cap of the basics for the newbies.
Sincerely,
Jas
Gregs...re inside info...Who the heck was talking about disclosing inside info? I'm talking about the ability to see where trends are taking us and how we could be implicated. That takes a TRUE understanding of technology and the market for such products. Something that people like AWK/CM/Doma have consistently demonstrated. You have not nor will you EVER be in their class!
Sincerely or not,
Jas
AWK/CM...re bashers...Par and his possy are in over-drive since the Intel Vpro news came out ~13:05. Funny thing is that with ALL of their non-stop bashing...the stock has actually gone UP! HUMMMM Seems as though they are becoming somewhat FRUSTRATED...what a pitty ))))
Sincerely,
Jas
Kev..re greg...What most people have a problem with is his multiple attempts at trying to convince people that he knows more than he actually does. Take his last sentence in the post you quoted....I could be wrong. Talk about being smug. There were multiple articles in print PRIOR to his post that told us all what the new name was going to be....so please tell us how Greg could have possibly been wrong. The sign of someone who truly knows what is going on is an individual who talks about a topic BEFORE it appears in print. Awk/Doma/Helpfulbacteria are examples of such individuals....not Greg.
Sincerely,
Jas
Doma....WHAT!....Are you suggesting that we can't take Cosmo at his/her word??? )))))))))
Sincerely,
Jas
Geez Cosmo...do I detect a tone suggesting that you've sold your position? share dilution...LOL!
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Dig...re index fund selling...which index are you talking about? We're not on the Russel 2000 nor the 3000.
Sincerely,
Jas
Awk...re prove this allegation..."wrongfully implying in-depth knowledge" Awk...the answer to prove his LACK of in-depth knowledge is his history of posts. He's been DEAD wrong....END OF DISCUSSION!
Sincerely,
Jas
Greg....re prognostications...are those examples the best you can do???? LMAO Yup....You truly know more than those on this thread ))))))))))))))
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Greg...as one of my favorite presidents use to say...."THERE YOU GO AGAIN!" Could you point to some of the bold predictions I have made? Have I guessed at when BE would be? Have I guessed what their revenue would be at the end of a year? So tell me oh clever one...which prognostications are you talking about? Or do you simply like to shoot off your mouth first and then think.
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Greg...re what you know...Lets just stick to what YOU know...shall we? So far you've been WRONG! End of story!
It will be interesting to see how long it takes DUDASH to paste this post onto the other thread
Sincerely or not,
Jas
greg ..re from INTC...So, lets get something straight...you've RETIRED from INTC yet you think yourself as some sort of authority regarding TPMs. Do I have this right? Remind us once again what you were saying about the proliferation of TPMs...on second thought...don't bother...you're the EXPERT!
Sincerely or not,
Jas
Andy...re Dutton's outside sources...Makes one wonder WHY they (the outside sources) decided to omit HP other than complete stupidity.
Sincerely,
Jas
Andy...re Dutton report...There is a MAJOR flaw in the report. They are assuming that there has been NO new customer (oems) wins that may have caused Broadcom to change their minds regarding their relationship with ININEON. IMHO
Sincerely,
Jas
kantblevit...re ragingbull posts...Heck, if you want to write a book, you've got to go to the beginnings of the Wavoid era...the posts on the Wave Systems thread on Silicon Investor!
Sincerely,
Jas
Snackman...re TA...That's what it looks like to me as well. Notice that the volume has dropped off and the bid/ask are beginning to move upwards.
Sincerely,
Jas
Gokite...re Seagate...I'm little confused...When you talk about Seagate revenues...are you suggesting revenues from a seagate lis. to Wave or are you suggesting Seagate will charge 12 dollars for the software it liscenses from Wave?
On call and confused
Sincerely,
Jas
Gowave...re name dropping....Surely, you can tell the difference between the past prs and todays. If one can't....well....then one is either being dishonest or stupid.
Sincerely,
Jas
Trustcousa....I'm afraid to ask...but what EXACTLY do you think could be smoke and mirrors?? TPM? Embassy Trust Suite? Dell's comments regarding the significance of Wave and their security products?? Curious minds want to know....I think
Jas
24601...re todays Dell meeting....It does say that SECURITY is one of the topics that will be discussed today. In fact, the topics are very similar to those that were discussed during the recent webcast....fwiw
Sincerely,
Jas
bigtim...re wake of favorable news....According to Ordas recent post...Dell intends to have a small event in NYC tomorrow to introduce their new laptops. "The event will include interactive discussions on a variety of topics including Dell's mobile strategy and the impact of mobile broadband, SECURITY, product design and durability." Sounds similar to the topics discussed at the recent webcast. One has to believe that Dell will provide us with a similar stage as they did on the webcast. This maybe what you are looking for....I guess we'll find out soon
Sincerely,
Jas
re Vista delay....I know a lot of you guys caught this particular detail....I obviously missed it. The delay is ONLY for the version of VISTA for the consumer market whereas the version meant for the business community is still ON TRACT for a november release.
Sincerely,
Jas
Plympton....Nice to see you again. I'm glad you're still hanging around Wave after all these years.
Sincerely,
Jas
re. Vista delay...It's amazing reading the bashers over on yahoo discuss the delay of MSFTs Vista until 1/07. A few days ago they were saying that as soon as Vista is released...MSFT would clean our clocks. Now they are saying that the delay in Vista is bad news for Wave. Geez folks...which is it??
Delaying Vista is NOT going to influence the following:
1) US ARMY/DOD...they have already mandated that ALL of their new purchases MUST have a TPM1.2 on board. Therefore, if you are a pc OEM who wants to deal with the DOD...YOU HAVE TO OFFER TPM 1.2s....END OF DISCUSSION!
2) Enterprise customers who are upgrading their systems this year. Would you purchase laptop/desktop this year WITHOUT a TPM if by Jan. you could upgrade your software to VISTA that needs a TPM onboard? Unless you're one of these individuals who thinks that the ENTIRE year of PC sales is going down the tubes. Folks...has it occured to anyone that the PC sector will now have to come up with another reason to buy their hardware....HUMMM...how about this notion of a SECURE PC ))
3) Enterprise customers STILL need SECURITY features that TPMs offer in conjunction with Embassy software.
A few things to think about.
Sincerely,
Jas
Greg....surprise... surprise. to find you responding to my post ...for such a pathetic company...you guys are surely spending a great deal of time discussing Wave...why is that?
Sincerely or not,
Jas
