New Colombia Resources Inc. and Sannabis Announce an Increase in Local Distributors and International Interest for Medical Marijuana Products "Made in Colombia"
MIAMI, June 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --

New Colombia Resources, Inc. (OTC: NEWC), a Colombian company listed in the U.S., is pleased to announce that its medical marijuana joint venture Sannabis SAS has added more wholesale distributors. Sannabis will be increasing minimum orders for distributors to satisfy the growing need for their medical cannabis products. They are also setting up international buyers interested in importing Sannabis products to their home countries. Sannabis has been legally growing medical marijuana and manufacturing products on the Nasa Indian Reservation since 2014 and enjoys first mover advantage in Colombia. Indigenous societies are allowed to grow and process their sacred plants into medicines, including marijuana.
Since the Presidential executive order legalizing the cultivation of medical marijuana throughout the country was signed in December there are a few international companies trying to set up operations in Colombia. Sannabis is proud to be Colombian owned and operated and continues to work with the indigenous communities in creating a sustainable new industry for a post conflict Colombia. Most licenses to cultivate and process medical marijuana aren't expected until 2017 giving Sannabis a jump start on any potential competitors. Although international interest is welcome, many new players want to grow and run, exporting the product and adding value somewhere else. Sannabis is making every effort to create value added medical marijuana products "Made in Colombia" for the domestic and international market. This mission has given Sannabis tremendous support from the Indigenous communities directly affected by the armed conflict as well as local and national politicians. These communities have been growing and using marijuana as a medicine for generations, these value added products are adding many needed jobs to the region.
Sannabis hosted Colombia's first Cannabis forum this past weekend and was very pleased with the turnout; it was a packed auditorium. Sannabis added more distributors and doctors to their team and will be hosting additional forums in other cities around the country. To see pictures of the event, follow Sannabis on Twitter at

BARRANQUILLA, COLOMBIA--(Marketwired - Jul 27, 2016) - New Colombia Resources, Inc. (OTC PINK: NEWC), a Colombian company listed in the U.S., is pleased to announce that Sannabis SAS, their Medical Marijuana joint venture, will work with CORPROPAZ to develop hemp fields in 5 different areas of Colombia for a pilot program to create new hemp industries in post conflict zones. CORPROPAZ (Promoters of Peace Corporation) is a nonprofit organization whose objective is support of sustainable peace through investment in productive projects focused on vulnerable populations that result from the conflict in Colombia.
CORPROPAZ posted on their website their interest in promoting industrial hemp cultivation and their collaboration with New Colombia Resources Inc. and Sannabis SAS with an agreement expected to be signed this week. http://www.corpropaz.org/public_html/Noticias.html
The pilot program is to be planted in the coming weeks in 5 areas of Colombia with different thermal floors with the purpose of analyzing costs of production, productivity, harvest times, and in general the specific conditions for each condition of environment and soil. CORPROPAZ and Sannabis plan to work with titans of industry in Colombia including cement companies, paper manufactures, and clothing and apparel companies that have shown an interest in this project. New Colombia Resources believes this is a huge step in creating a sustainable hemp industry in Colombia that generates jobs in much needed areas while supplying the world with quality hemp and its byproducts. The company is in contact with major corporations in the U.S interested in learning more about importing hemp products from Colombia. This pilot program will establish price points from which to work from and provide a reliable supply chain.
Alfredo Navas, Director of CORPROPAZ, has demonstrated a clear vision of working with Sannabis and New Colombia Resources on developing hemp industries in rural areas so that ex-combatants and soldiers do not rush to the big cities after the armed conflict has ended. Without sustainable jobs in rural areas an increase in crime in the major cities becomes a reality. With a base of 3200 hectares, CORPROPAZ is setting up a pilot project in Puerto Gaitan, Meta assembling a plant to produce bio ethanol from sweet sorghum. This culture can produce bio ethanol, electricity from burning bagasse left after the removal of alcohol, and fodder for livestock from leaf and panicle.

New Colombia Resources Plans to Develop Medicinal Coca
Posted On 12 Aug 2016By : Jared WadeTag: coca, healthcare, John Campo, marijuana, medical marijuana, medicine, New Colombia Resources
New Colombia Resources, Inc. has announced plans to develop coca products for medicinal use. The Colombian company, which is active in the nation’s emerging medical marijuana market, will be producing the products legally and is encouraged by coca being on the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency‘s “Schedule II” list. Marijuana, on the contrary, remains under the agency’s “Schedule I” classification, the DEA reaffirmed this week.
The firm says it will join forces with with experienced indigenous community members who have long been using coca leaves to deal with all sorts of ailments. Through chemical processing, coca can be turned into cocaine, but it is what New Colombia Resources calls “fundamentally benign” in addition to being able to help regulate blood glucose. It also contains antioxidants and can be a source of vitamin A, riboflavin, iron, and calcium, says the company.
“Indigenous communities in Colombia have been using ‘mama-coca’ for centuries as a medicine and are allowed to grow coca leaves to manufacture and market products derived from their sacred plants, including marijuana and coca,” said the company in a statement. “New Colombia Resources has made significant advances in creating several categories of products to be announced in the very near future.”
The company says that some 100 metric tons of coca leaves are legally imported to the United States each year with DEA approval. It plans to “de-cocainize” all its leaves in Colombia before shipping any coca or related products to the United States.
“As Colombians, our aim is for Colombians to take the lead in this new industry — not multinationals,” said John Campo, president of New Colombia Resources. “Our experience with medical marijuana is a huge benefit in our efforts to create a sustainable coca leaf industry for these communities.”
Colombia's First Medical Marijuana License to Export imminent
New Colombia Resources would also like to announce that Colombia's first license by the Ministry of Health to process and export medical marijuana products was issued to a Canadian company. This license does not allow for cultivation of marijuana since that license is issued by another agency. The Canadian company has said they don't expect to have products for 18 months. The Ministry of Health announced they expect to issue 6 more licenses soon.
New Colombia Resources' medical marijuana joint venture in Colombia, Sannabis SAS, has applied for a license to process and export medical marijuana products with the Ministry of Health. The difference is that Sannabis can legally cultivate medical marijuana since they operate on an Indian reservation allowed to grow and process their sacred plants. New Colombia believes with the approval of an export license from the Health Ministry they will be the first to legally export their line of medical marijuana products that they've produced since 2014.

"Now Mexico is just starting to consider the idea of legalization, though Dayton says the results of the ballot issues in California and Arizona (where voters will decide this November whether to legalize recreational marijuana usage) could sway that argument one way or another. If the U.S. border states OK recreational pot, he says, it's likely only a matter of time before Mexico follows suit."

New Colombia Resources in Negotiations to Build a 300 MW Thermal Coal Power Plant Near their Coal Property in Colombia in Association with a Foreign Entity that Secured a US$ 200 Million L.O.I. from a Major Construction Company in China
BARRANQUILLA, Colombia, October 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
Metallurgical Coal prices continue to surge, up over 300% this year to over $ 230/tonne
New Colombia Resources, Inc. (OTC: NEWC) ("New Colombia or the 'Company"), a Colombian resource company listed in the U.S. with premium metallurgical coal mining titles and medical marijuana subsidiaries is pleased to report on the status of a project to build a thermal coal power plant in Guaduas, Colombia. Company subsidiary, Compañía Minera San Jose Ltda. entered into negotiations earlier this year with a foreign entity to build a 300 Megawatt thermal coal power plant near their estimated vast coal reserves. This entity has secured a Letter of Intent for US$ 200 Million from a major construction company in China to join a consortium to finance the development of the coal operations to feed this new plant and construction of the power plant.
New Colombia Resources' Director, Erasmo Almanza, received a report from the consortium partner on the status of negotiations of the installation of the thermal coal power plant in Guaduas. The report states there have been meetings with the financing team seeking the best financing option for the project and have modified the volume of power generation to optimize material inventory with time. A decision was made to program a meeting with Mr. Almanza after these adjustments are finalized to protocolize the negotiations and establish the new power company.
Guaduas is located 110 Km northeast of the capital of Bogota with an estimated 10 Million people. Colombia's energy generation is dominated by hydro-electric which causes concerns during droughts and a weather phenomenon.
The Company's coal reserves are estimated to be 70% metallurgical and 30% thermal, for a comprehensive estimate of probable reserves on their first concession contract ILE-09551 visit http://www.newcolombiaresources.com/assesment.php
The concession contract to be developed by the consortium is in close proximity to Concession Contract ILE-09551 and expected to have a similar 70/30 ratio of coking coal to thermal coal.
The Company feels this is a major development creating a local market for their thermal coal while developing metallurgical coking coal that has more than tripled in price this year to over $ 230/tonne. Additionally, the Company has met with a multi-billion-dollar Asian conglomerate interested in their premium metallurgical coal.
.
Goldman Sachs issued a report stating their projection that coking coal prices will remain high. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-09-23/goldman-says-higher-coking-coal-prices-are-here-to-stay
Shares in big board metallurgical coal producers like BHP Billiton (NYSE: BHP), Consol Energy Inc. (NYSE: CNX), and Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (NYSE: CLP) have seen significant price increases in the past few weeks.
Additionally, Company attorney is drafting an SEC Form 8K to address the elimination of debt that was recently being converted into free trading shares.
New Colombia Resources' Blue Gem coal is only found on the KY-TN border and central Colombia and is used to produce specialty metals such as Silicone to make solar panels, electric car batteries, and many more next generation products. New Colombia Resources has concession contracts and applications totaling 5000 HA of high quality metallurgical coal that will always be needed to produce steel and other specialty metallurgy products. Blue Gem coal miners in Kentucky are shutting down operations due to over-regulation creating a supply void the Company intends to fill.
New Colombia Resource also has a joint venture manufacturing medical marijuana products and is in the process of creating sustainable hemp industries in Colombia. New Colombia Resources, Inc.
Here’s Why We’re Bullish on New Colombia Resources Inc (OTCMKTS:NEWC)
New Colombia Resources Inc (OTCMKTS:NEWC) announced at the end of last week that it is setting up a joint venture with a company called Advanced Imaging Projects LLC, through which it intends to submit an Orphan Drug application to the FDA in the US.
The application in question will target the acceptance of a cannabinoid compound designed to target what has only been described so far as a “rare pediatric disease”. If the two companies are successful in their application, it would mark the start of what could be a long road towards commercialization of a cannabinoid target – a road that should be littered with potential catalysts and momentum drivers.
For those new to this one, this may seem like a pivot from New Columbia’s legacy operations in coal mining. That part of the company is very much still progressing, however, and this joint venture is the result of a long term strategy that – in coming to fruition – has the potential to bring a lot of value to New Columbia going forward.
In November last year, New Columbia announced that it and AIP were working together to identify a potential candidate for orphan submission. The two announced back then that once they had identified a candidate, it would submit within a month or two, and get a response back within three months from submission time.
Fast forward a little over ten months, and this partnership is now poised for submission, and we expect to find out the target indication within the next sixty days or so.
The point here is that this isn’t just a quick fire release designed to stir up some volume, it’s the execution of a strategy that has long been in place, and it marks a major milestone in the transformation of New Colombia to a pharmaceutical focus entity.
A bunch of companies have undertaken this strategy over the last few years, with great success. GW Pharmaceuticals PLC- ADR (NASDAQ:GWPH) has a multi billion valuation on the back of some successful orphan designations and well defined clinical pathway.
The question is, can the new joint venture pick up a successful outcome to its application?
Of course, it’s tough to say for certain, and with no clarity as to the potential indication, it’s even tougher to speculate. However, we’ve got some precedent on which to base a prediction, and that’s rooted in New Colombia’s partner, AIP.
AIP has picked up numerous grants from health authorities in the past, and attracted many millions of dollars in peer revised research capital. Here’s one example with the National Cancer Institute. This was a cancer target, specifically NSCLC, which might point towards an oncology indication in the upcoming application, although orphan oncology is a tricky space, so we’d prefer to see the company go down the neurological root initially. Something like epilepsy might be a good bet.
AIP also has plenty of experience picking up these Orphan approvals. It’s successfully applied for designations in tuberculosis, pediatric neuroblastoma, Moyamoya disease and multiple system atrophy, a Parkinsonian movement disorder. It’s now going after another designation with New Colombia. In 2014, only three orphan designations were issued in rare pediatric disorders, and AIP picked up one of the three.
So what’s next?
Well, we’re looking to the near term submission of the application so as we can find out exactly what the indication in question is, and what the potential market for it might be. This would offer up some insight into the potential impact of an approval on New Colombia’s market capitalization.
Financing is obviously going to factor in, and we expect the company to have to undertake some degree of dilutive raise if it is going to carry a drug candidate to the clinic. However, there’s the potential for a grant to offset some of this dilution:
AIP received several million dollars in peer reviewed competitive research grants and similarly, could anticipate support for this project from the U.S. National Institute of Health, which may also be a potential collaborator,” Dr. Stanley Satz, PhD., Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer of Advanced Imaging Partners.
Bottom line: the company is executing on a long term strategy and this execution has the potential to bring with it a flurry of near term catalysts. It’s not only going to be a fun one to trade going forward, but there’s some credible long term upside potential here if things stay on track. One to watch.

New Colombia Resources Inc (OTCMKTS:NEWC) reinforced its position in the medical marijuana business last week with a new announcement out of BARRANQUILLA, COLOMBIA–(Marketwired – Oct 7, 2016) – New Colombia Resources, Inc. New Colombia and Sannabis are positioned to be a part of this exceptional growth and are making plans to legally export non-THC products to the U.S.; both companies have been gearing up to export products around the world. In addition to the great results of their high CBD Cannabis Sativa products low in THC, Sannabis’ Cannabis Indica products high in THC have shown remarkable success in cancer patients. NEWC is eager to bring those products to the U.S. when legally able to do so.
This news builds on the announcement in April that its subsidiary, Sannabis SAS, had received orders from an established pharmacy chain distributing natural products in southwest Colombia. Thus a segway from one natural resource coal to another, medical marijuana.
“After 20 years of hard work developing high quality medical marijuana products in Colombia, I’m pleased that we were finally able to establish a mainstream market, our orders are coming in droves,” said Juan Pablo Guzman, Director of Sannabis in Colombia.
“In anticipation of having an approved export license, our approach to the international market is simple. You know cannabis cures but you don’t want the hurdles of growing marijuana. Our region has grown the best medical strain for generations, we can grow and manufacture the highest quality 100% organic cannabis products for you at the most competitive cost possible.
