Latest O/S is stickied. 1.2 billion and change.
Doing so good? How do you figure? MRIB lost Costco. Total Wine is a total failure. Brazil is a bust. The company is dark and silent. What's good?
It happened? Certainly not as promised, advertised or promoted. I think that's the important point. Margrit and MRIB have a long history of tall tales and exaggerations when it comes to marketing that have yet to prove to be anything other than second rate, usually pay-to-play promotions put on by Zodiac Brands.
If Margrit/MRIB comes out of hiding and tells us yet again she has shipped to Brazil and we find out later that she shipped one case do we credit MRIB with it "happened"? Think not.
I think the far more serious issue with MRIB is how operational it is right now versus the dysfunction of the past. I don't know about you but I don't see anything going on and no activity. A MRIB PR from early last year that that someone dug up was re-posted. That's about it and that came from an MRIB investor, not MRIB.
The lack of financials should be the biggest concern right now. Why so late? Will we ever see them? Is there no one to do them? Are they not worth publishing because they are so bad or possibly not worth it because the company is shut down? With the apparent loss of Costco, horrendous sales at Total Wines and only a handful of small time retailers left who knows? Point is that the lack of communication from MRIB is entirely unacceptable. It's like the guy you lent money who stops answering the phone or returning calls.
Like I said last week. No MRIB financials in the next ten days and I think we can assume we're not going to ever see them. If not just to get the warning lifted with OTC which most certainly is hampering volume and any possibility of new investors coming in. Makes no sense unless the numbers are just so horrendously bad MRIB feels the effect would be worse than the current situation. And as I've also noted, MRIB puts themselves in a real bind and at risk in reference to SEC review as a single operator OTC company, insolvent and over $2 million in debt with little to no sales.
The problem is not how much time any MRIB investors have, it's how much time MRIB has and if they are even still operating. With no cash, sales or financing available MRIB has been running on empty for an awfully long time. I'm starting to think MRIB couldn't even afford to pay the accountant to do the financials.
Yea, I wouldn't bring up the MRIB bus tour. It was a total embarrassment. No branding on the bus, missed most of their supposed shows, problems with the police and a profane unknown headliner that no company would want to be associated with. Another Santiago Ramos disaster.
There is no Brazil. Anyone still believing that fairy tale is being naive. It's been going on for close to four years. Just a hype story that no one can trace as real or not. That's why they used it just like India, Mexico, Dominican, etc. Three months ago it was yet again a done deal and shipping soon. Still nothing. How long do MRIB investors have to wait?
Does anybody really believe MRIB is still operating? I think it's probably pretty safe to assume the place is shut down.
No. Don't think so. No buyers of any volume. I think whoever has been unloading a million here, a million there on a daily basis (probably Bodie) for the past few weeks is doing a little support buying of their own to keep the PPS up until they are finished unloading whatever they're holding.
No one is stupid enough to buy MRIB at a 20-30% premium trying to make three bucks. Just a sucker ploy that can be easily maintained in such thin trading. Spend $10 to back up a future setup sale for $1000 at a much lower price without totally tanking it. There are still some gamblers out there willing to take a chance at $.0004 and when they see $.0006 in the same session they think there's money to be made and get suckered in. Someone is just taking advantage giving the appearance of a spread. All an illusion. Problem is that 99% of the volume is at the daily low.
One needs to ask the question, would you buy $26 worth of MRIB at a 30% premium when the apparent market price of sold volume is $.0004? Who does that? Someone who wants to make sure the PPS stays above $.0004 and has nothing to lose. Could be MRIB themselves propping the price for al we know. Can't let it fall below $.0004, that's for sure. Go ahead and test it. Put a couple small market orders in for chump change. PPS will be at $.0007-$.0008 before you know it. You'll never get rid of them though without a loss.
Silent movement? The silent part is certainly accurate. It's hard to imagine anything that could make MRIB huge. I think at this point most who are still in MRIB would be happy if they could confirm that the company hasn't been shut down. Like I've said, if there are no financials in the next ten days I think it would be safe to assume we'll never see them.
And regardless of whether Margrit doesn't want to release numbers, doesn't want to do the work and or has already thrown in the towel, how could one expect anything huge from MRIB with a cashless Margrit, an insolvent company and no sales? Nope, I think we've been witnessing a wind down since October. When the Brazil shipment was discovered to be a ruse the MRIB party was over. Sure they threw out another bogus PR on Brazil again at the end of January but that was most likely for one last stock sale from the last of the convertibles left which we saw in February. Something like 300 million shares in a couple of days. Then it all came to a screeching halt. And there we remain.
Cleaning up the mess? What mess? How much mess can you make with no sales transactions? Better possibility is Margrit retained the CPA for appearance and the PR and then never paid him so it's just not getting done.
A base has been established based on 6 month old financials. The lack of updates tell us the company is out of business. They lost Costco and have nothing else. Brazil to date has not shipped and there is no indication of marketing of Marani there. MRIB needs to ship at least $8 million in vodka in the next thirty days to Brazil or it's game over.
What you're up against is that no one is interested in buying MRIB until they post financials. We are two quarters in the dark with pretty good indication of bad news. Only posting will give any sign of life. If there are no financials it means the company is shut down just as it was in 2010. Given the MRIB history why would anyone think differently? It went to zero almost immediately after it was realized MRIB had gone dark back then. Why would anyone take the chance to buy stock at anything above par? I can see a gamble at $.0001 but not at anything more until after financials come out if they ever do. It's looking like a buy at a 5X premium and there's so little to justify it.
DJ, I don't think we will see much if any volume or interest in MRIB until after financials come out, if they ever do. That's a big if based on track record and MRIB 1.0.
Knowing how bad the results are it's a choice of where the PPS will land which should be considerably lower. Once that PPS is established and stabilizes we might see some more action. But no one is going to bother buying knowing bad financials are coming and the fact they are so late.
I'm sure there are quite a few folks that believe we may have seen the last of any reporting from MRIB and/or the company has already gone dark. My thought is that is if MRIB doesn't release anything in the next 10 days, by end of quarter, it will pretty much confirm that MRIB has posted their last results and we won't see anything and most likely they are shut down. Investors will certainly not put up with a company with no numbers or news for that long, let alone investing anything in a buy at a valuation they know is going down and two unreported bad quarters already on the books.
My question to any potential MRIB buyers at this or any price right now would be why would anyone do it in the continued absence of financials?
Seems to me nothing positive is going to happen before reporting if they ever do and we all pretty much know the last quarter in question was not good. The next quarter, which ends in a little over a week, is probably even worse with the loss of Costco.
Doesn't sound like there's much upside in MRIB right now and I'd imagine the PPS can only go lower based on what will most definitely be two very disappointing quarters and that would also put the next possibility of any positive report out to a report due end of August at best. That's also a long time to keep the operation going on no money and little if any shareholder confidence.
Bottom line is it's probably a really good idea to hold on any buying until at least the overdue MRIB financials come out. If they never come out, which is starting to look like a distinct possibility, you're safe. If they do come out, they won't be positive or increase the PPS. Most likely the opposite. In either case, $.0002 will probably be seen shortly.
Although the CA license is active and apparently renewed, it would appear MRIB and Marani sales are not. No employees left and no sales force or presence. Most likely no cash on hand to boot. Still no financials after well over a month late and eerily quiet.
The last time MRIB was this silent and late with financials in 2010 nothing ever came out and they ended up going silent for three years at which point they went to being an unreporting company. So far history has repeated itself almost to the letter. Little bit of deja vu...
And you have to wonder if Margrit is making sales calls, which I strongly doubt, what does she tell potential customers about the company and state of affairs? Plus, selling an unknown, unbranded product in such a crowded product space without a marketing or advertising cooperative is far beyond even Margrit's capacity for bullshitting. I'd assume Dan Senters talked his way into a few places and unfortunately probably represented marketing and advertising would be forthcoming. We all know what happened there.
When a $10 trade can change the price by 20%? We're not idiots.
Nice paint end of day by the way. Heading to $0001. Just a matter of time.
Just to show how fair I am, here is the response I got from CA ABC as to the status of the MRIB license when I inquired:
Reindl... Kudos to you for your honesty and the courage to confirm some pretty bad news for MRIB. I'm sure you called as did I for confirmation. Actually they told me Burbank was not showing stock anymore but I know they had just gotten new stock because there was definitely a reorder in their system so maybe that was just a correction to inventory that wasn't logged when I called.
The other stores have been empty for well over a month, maybe longer, with no reorders on record. Alhambra said the SKU I gave them didn't even show up. My bet would be that MRIB themselves are buying from the Burbank store in a last ditch effort of keeping an association with Costco in their arsenal of hype. Margrit is all about keeping up appearances and exaggerating them to no end as something they're not.
But no one is managing the account. Total Wine as well. That was Dan's job. Margrit knows nothing about running the business. Dan was probably pretty good at it after ten years at LaVecke. Got Costco trial without a dime in marketing/ad support. Not the juggernaut he was made out to be initially but a decent admin and product management guy. That removed I doubt the account is being serviced.
Actually, this is true and is clearly stated in the renewal protocol on the ABC site. As I said, ABC states that it could take as much as sixty days to process the paperwork, issue and deliver the certificates to be posted at the place of business, in this case, Pacific Wines in Irwindale where MRIB warehouses the Marani vodka.
Actually, we all have provided proof of claims at every possible opportunity. In reference to the ABC license, links were posted, regulations cited and penalties explained. The link to the expired license was proof positive and confirmed lapsed, at least at the time, based on ABC protocol for renewals which was also posted.
I see no reason not to post an email from CA ABC affirming the renewal other than either it doesn't exist or spite. Again, I'm taking your word for it at this point and I think it's a matter and issue you could quickly put to rest as a positive thing for MRIB. Why would you not take the opportunity to do such in support of Margrit and MRIB? Makes it all a little iffy.
I'll take your word on the license being renewed, for now, but tell us how you would know that given the the CA ABC still lists it as expired? I read that it takes up to 60 days to get the official paperwork but that the query system is updated daily (upon receipt of renewal fees) in order for distributors and resellers to confirm legality for any given purchase. Just curious how you might be privy to information like that? It would indicate that you or perhaps someone you knew spoke to someone at MRIB yesterday or today.
Hey, who knows. Maybe this is the reason for no stock at Costco. Maybe an oversight by Margrit and Costco couldn't reorder until the license was updated. The state puts the burden of responsibility on the reseller, not the vendor for good reason. Anyway, that would be about the best news for MRIB folks in a long, long time. Guess we will see.
Might also explain the tardiness with the financials. We know how much difficulty Margrit has with paperwork. That license renewal was probably quite a challenge for her or maybe she used up her crayon on the form before she got to the financials.
Yes the PRed Brazil, at least four or five times and all turned out to be bogus and non-factual. At least MRIB is consistent. Just because Margrit puts something in writin or PR doesn't make it factual. Seems quite the opposite actually. You can almost depend on it being bullshit. She said there would be no dilution. Did you accept that as a fact? We know what happened there though. She said Brazil had shipped and was on its way. Fact or fiction? Her credibility and MRIBs is non-existent. You can't believe a word that comes out of her mouth or that she puts on paper. She's like trusting a fart with the flu. Taking a big chance and even if it doesn't get messy the patient is still sick as a dog and it still stinks.
Over $.02? That would be at least 200 containers. And Costco still doesn't have Marani listed as stocked in any stores. Pretty good indicator that it's been discontinued. Never know though. Keep giving them a call. Maybe it's just a glitch although their system seems to have worked just fine both on stocked and any reorders for the past 10 months. Perhaps you could ask Margrit I'd she's even aware Costco is showing no stock. Maybe she doesn't even know! Needs to be fixed fast!
And what shipments/sales/deals cannot be announced and how is it that you know about them if they do in fact exist? Why can they not be announced? Margrit has shown no shame in announcing things that aren't true and things that never happen. Heck she's announced Brazil at least four or five times. Even said MRIB shipped when they clearly hadn't.
Whether MRIB actually shows up in any way is another story, although knowing Margrit, Amelia Island in June should make for a very nice paid vacation spot. Oh yea... And another event in a state where MRIB has no resellers or retail locations. And not sure how the licenses work in Florida but if they are annual, MRIBs Florida liquor license expired a coule weeks ago. A year without selling a single bottle. Sort of makes you wonder why they bothered getting the license in the first place... Ooops, I forgot... PR power.
It proves nothing. Someone re-posting year old information? MRIB obviously hooked up with this second rate pay to play event promoted by Talent Army (smells like a Santiago Ramos/Zodiac deal) long ago. Actually it just goes to show that there is no new news. Just recycled PR from last year. Also shows how desperate MRIB investors have gotten in reference to finding anything even remotely positive to hype the stock. Folks would laud a PR on news of a bowel movement by Margrit as a sign she was alive.
MRIB announced that event well over a year ago. It's nothing new. And again just some second rate event.
Wher is Marani being sold? It's off the shelves at Costco and they have no license to sell further. Even if they had reorders fro Costco they couldn't legally fill them. Some other news. They also can't act as an international importer to other countries being US based. Read the statute. That means no Brazil either.
Man walks into a Costco and asks for Marani. He's told they don't carry it but has he tried any places in Brazil?
No facts to back it up?
FACTS:
I called Costco and they don't carry Marani Vodka in any stores currently.
The MRIB CA ABC license is expired.
Brazil has not shipped.
Total Wine has sold less than a case in six months.
The company has no employees.
The company is non-reporting and currently delinquent in their OTC filings.
These are facts. Where are yours?
There will be no filing. Her only vendors are companies she owns. Zodiac, Eraskh Wine Plant, ECO Investments? No one is going to sue. She's not going to sue herself.
Company is bankrupt. Period.
Actual Verax it appears to be quite a bit more serious than that. The absence of financials, lack of news and the departure of Dan Senters aside, I don't know if you were aware but other events point to impending doom for MRIB. It wasn't just Dan that left. There are no employees left at all including Margrit's relatives. All that's left is Margrit and she seems to be nothing more than an apparition since early October.
Costco appears to now be a bust with no stores reporting Marani in stock and no reorders on record. Total Wine has sold less than a case in all 12 stores in six months and it sure looks like financing through convertibles dried up over six months ago. No more dilution but no more company either. Add to all of this that the MRIB CA ABC liquor license expired almost a month ago and has not been renewed certainly isn't a good sign. A reseller couldn't legally buy from MRIB if they wanted to.
Even worse for MRIB is that they are also now a prime target for SEC operation Shell Expel. A single principal/operator with no apparent sales or legitimate operation operating a non-reporting delinquent OTC company trading in the trips and unlicensed to sell the only product they have is a textbook example of a Shell Expel target and ripe for a trading shutdown and expulsion from the OTC.
And even what news that has been put out by MRIB since their final appearance on Money TV back in October was a total farce. Announcement of a new CFO was simply a lame excuse to suppress financial results for a little while. The Brazil announcement needs no consideration or recognition. I'd say the company most likely was shut down and shuttered back in October or thereabouts.
Hi. I'm Rob Lowe and I own Apple stock.... And I'm stupid idiot broke Rob Lowe and I own MRIB...
Last quarter too bad to put out? Ok. This is getting a little out of hand. A week ago you said the financials for this past quarter were very good with lots of new sales and revenue. Now they are too bad to publish because all of what we now know to be true like the loss of Costco, no sales at Total Wine, No Brazil, etc.? But next quarter after losing all their customers MRIB is going to have a huge NEXT quarter? Selling to whom? You need to start backing up some of this hype with some factual information.
Costco being shipped? You guarantee that? On what basis. All but one store has been out of stock for over a month. You make these fantastic claims but never back them up with any supporting information. I called the stores they have no product and no orders pending of Marani. Where are you getting information that you can guarantee orders and apparently you know more about it than Costco themselves?
Bodie bailing out on the remainder. Gave up on waiting.
Pretty sure MRIB has shut down. Calls not returned and clients say they are experiencing the same. Margrit has thrown in the towel imo. I called Costco again today. No reorders and no stock. Gold, can you explain that? It's been over a month without any stock and obviously no sales. Where are the "very good sales" you keep talking about coming from? Brazil is obviously a bust. Haave you got anything to support MRIB sales? The failure to provide financials make us all believe there are no sales. Do you have proof of something different?
Gold, did you get a chance to call Costco at the number I supplied to find out if there was any Marani product available in Southern California? I think confirmation from you would be a very positive factor in any extended confidence in MRIB as an ongoing company and operation. I also got the contact info for the MRIB supplier Wine Plant of Eraskh for you. Oddly enough, the phone number listed for them is a US number in Albany, NY:
518-312-4162
They can supposedly be reached by email at mail@mail.ru as well.
Please let us know what you find out. MRIB is depending on you!
Last, when you talk to MRIB next time or Margrit (I guess they are one in the same now) can you ask her when we can expect to see the financials which are now over a month late? Your claims that the numbers are "very good" have many of us sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for the results. They must be really good according to your estimates so tell her not to keep them a secret any longer. MRIB investors need something to celebrate.
I think Yerevan and Village of Eraskh are being interpreted as one. The Village of Eraskh is an impoverished border town 50 miles or so southwest outside the capital city of Yerevan and is as desolate as it looks.
