Actually, this is true and is clearly stated in the renewal protocol on the ABC site. As I said, ABC states that it could take as much as sixty days to process the paperwork, issue and deliver the certificates to be posted at the place of business, in this case, Pacific Wines in Irwindale where MRIB warehouses the Marani vodka.

It takes time to process all renewal licenses.

But, it is also clearly stated that the query system is updated immediately and the new expiration date listed upon receipt of the renewal and payment in full. So either the renewal took place in the last day or ABC is not telling the truth. Either way you should be able to understand our skepticism when told you have a mysterious email from them that you refuse to share. Why you would not want to put the issue to rest escapes me as it would be a very positive thing for MRIB. Refusal to do so questions credibility and adds to the negativity you claim. I'll be the first one to back down on the issue.

Honestly, shut down or not right now, I would sort of expect MRIB to renew because of the negativity and damage of not having a license would have. For $1500 Margrit could have avoided the whole issue and kept the charade going. Peanuts. Why chance it? To save $1500? Just provide the email and the issue is put to rest.

As far as pulling something negative out of their renewal there is nothing. If they have a license to sell vodka they have a license to sell vodka. If they don't they don't. One is a positive thing for MRIB the other is a terrible negative and you can make the positive happen, right? I'm sure many MRIB longs will be very happy to see the contrarians shut up.
