Just to show how fair I am, here is the response I got from CA ABC as to the status of the MRIB license when I inquired:

The license is currently active, and yes they have paid their renewal. It just takes time for our system to update. It usually takes up to 30-60 days from the expiration date to process the renewals.

There's one for MRIB on me. Better late than never I guess. So we now know MRIB can sell legally in CA so let's see what they (she) can do.
