$HHSE: Academy Award Winner Octavia Spencer Shines in “Blues for Willadean” from Hannover House
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/academy-award-winner-octavia-spencer-113500153.html
New York, NY (ACCESSWIRE) 8/20/2013 7:30:00 AM - - Oscar-winning Actress Octavia Spencer ("The Help") leads a stellar cast in director Del Shores' acclaimed feature film, "Blues for Willadean," coming to home video on January 21, 2014 by Hannover House (OTC PINK: HHSE). The 2012 production, based on a critically-praised stage play by veteran director Shores, is timed for a post-holiday release window, preceding February's Black History Month. Hannover House will list DVD's at $14.95, and Blu-Ray copies at $19.95 suggested retail. Wal-Mart shoppers can enjoy a free VUDU download with purchases of either the DVD or Blu-Ray copies.
Other notable cast members include actress Dale Dickey ("Iron Man 3", "Super 8" and HBO's "True Blood"), Beth Grant ("No Country for Old Men", "The Artist") and David Steen ("Django Unchained", "Reservoir Dogs"). Octavia Spencer can be currently seen in "Fruitvale Station," the Forest Whitaker production that won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the Un Certain Regard prize at Cannes earlier this year.
The distribution agreement was negotiated between Eric Parkinson on behalf of Hannover House, and Andrew Herwitz of New York's The Film Sales Company.
"We love quality dramas for our release schedule," said Fred Shefte, President of Hannover House. "The successful launch last weekend of 'Lee Daniels' The Butler' evidences the large and growing audience of movie goers wanting more than cookie-cutter super-hero films. 'Blues for Willadean' presents an authentic slice of Americana that most never experience. In the same way that 'Winter's Bone', 'Beasts of the Southern Wild' and this year's 'Mud' opened the window to rural eccentricities, 'Blues for Willadean' presents a gritty and real look at trailer-park living and the plague of domestic abuse. The message is powerful and important," he concluded.
Blues for Willadean explores the hidden emotions, shame, and secrecy of battered women, while also offering hope, healing and truth. A delicate blend of frightened humor and pain, it delves right into the heart of abuse from all sides - the abuser, the abused, and the powerless bystander. It is the story of Willadean Winkler, the wife of a blue collar truck driver, as she attempts to escape the abusive prison he has built for her. With the help of her only friend, LaSonia, who lives in the trailer next door and the musical encouragement of the specter of a mystical Blues Singer, Willadean fights to break the cycle of the sick dance between the abuser and the abused.
Director Del Shores is a television industry icon, spanning roles ranging from writer, director and producer, to production duties on a variety of hit series including "Dharma and Greg", "Queer as Folk", and "Sordid Lives." Shore also has extensive feature film credits, most notably the acclaimed 1990 indie hit, "Daddy's Dyin... Who's Got The Will?"
Hannover House is a full-service media company with primary activities in the retail distribution of movies onto DVD and Blu-Ray. The company was launched in 1993 as a book publisher, and has since grown into Theatrical, Home Video, Television, International and the newly launched Video-On-Demand venture, VODwiz. Principal home video retail accounts for Hannover House include Wal-Mart, Netflix, Redbox, Blockbuster, Best Buy and Harps. Hannover C.E.O. Eric Parkinson was previously C.E.O. of Hemdale Communications, Inc., which handled the U.S. release of more than 170 films, including "Terminator", "Platoon", "The Last Emperor" and "Hoosiers."

Momentum often creates MORE Momentum!
HHSE is pleased to announce an exciting development with the Company's relationship with HARP'S FOODS (a mid-sized, regional grocery store chain). Effective immediately, Hannover House has been added as a direct-sale vendor for all Harps Locations! This closer relationship will increase cash flow, placement efficiencies and margins for Hannover House (as compared to prior access through a third-party wholesaler). Initial placements (not surprisingly!) will be the ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS FOOTBALL 2013 video next week... with a Halloween multi-title display promotion and a Black Friday multi-title display both in the works! Go Hannover House (and for those of you in the State of Arkansas), GO HARPS and GO HOGS!!
http://www.harpsfood.com/
ABOUT HARPS FOODS:
Harvard and Floy Harp founded Harps in 1930. They started the first store with $500 in cash that Harvard had saved while working in the citrus industry in California. The first store was Harps Cash Grocery and was located in Springdale, AR. Over the next 34 years they remodeled, expanded, and moved to bigger buildings as their business continued to grow.
By the early 1950’s, Harvard and Floy’s oldest son, Don, had joined them in the business. In 1964 Harps became a small chain when the second store was opened in North Springdale. By the mid-60’s, two other sons, Gerald and Reland, were involved in making the company a success. Don ran the company from the late 60’s until 1994 when Gerald took over as president. The Company purchased Don’s interest in 1995. Roger Collins, the current Chairman of the Board, became the president in 2000. Kim Eskew became president in 2008. In 2001 the Company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) purchased all the outstanding stock from the Harp family and management; the Company became 100% employee-owned. Since 2001 the employees have seen their stock price go to over six times the original price. Sharing in the success of the company has built excitement among employees.
With 72+ stores in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri, the Company has aggressive growth plans. The Company’s strategy has been to differentiate itself from the competition based on quality, service, and freshness at competitive prices. The Company promotes no solution/no sodium added fresh beef, pork and chicken. With customized cakes, Martha Harp fried chicken, donuts and rolls; the Harps’ name signifies quality. Combining that image with employee-owned service, Harps has become one of the grocery industry’s most recognized independent chains and is a national success story for grocery companies competing against Wal-Mart.

"FOOTNOTE: Four DVD / Blu-Ray titles originally scheduled for release during Q2 were delayed until Q3 / Q4 in
order to accomodate a change in the vendor-partnership manner in which Hannover House videos were supplied
into Wal-Mart Stores. This scheduling delay is not expected to impact year-end revenues, as product placements at
Wal-Mart are expected to still occur for these four titles during 2013. Short-term, however, the scheduling change
has resulted in a decrease in Q2 revenues when compared to the same time-frame in 2012."

Hannover House, Inc. (HHSE), NanoTech Entertainment, Inc. (NTEK) Joint Venture Spots Revenue Generating VOD Opportunity
In the last 20 years, Hannover House has transitioned from a boutique book publisher into a full-service media company, becoming the first studio distributor with a dedicated Roku-enabled IPTV site, leveraging strategic partnerships in its path to continued growth and opportunity.
The company is currently focused on a joint-venture (JV) project with NanoTech Entertainment to commercialize the VODwiz, a pay-per-video/video-on-demand (VOD) portal, for which the JV has deployed a beta-launch in preparation for its upcoming consumer roll-out.
NTEK is a technology company is engaged in all aspects of the entertainment industry, operating through three business units focused on gaming, media & IPTV, and mobile apps, complementary to HHSE’s consolidated offering of film, television, and video programming. The JV leverages both companies’ expertise to design and launch the VODwiz Web site (www.VODwiz.com) and IPTV channel designed as a destination site that provides consumers with the ability stream thousands of independent films and major studio titles directly into their home televisions, computers, over the Internet, or mobile device.
Throughout upcoming weeks and months the JV anticipates adding titles from more than a dozen studio labels to reach a short-term goal of at least 2,000 titles for streaming. The long-term goal is to establish VODwiz as a destination for all mainstream and independent programming, offering an alternative to existing VOD sites such as Netflix and iTunes, which have a limited selection of titles.
The revenue model is to price most programming between $0.99 and $2.99, with higher pricing for special events and select major studio titles.
“Hannover managers feel that the VODwiz venture offer presents a major revenue opportunity for the company based on industry data for existing Video-On-Demand sites and the strong support that the VODwiz concept has received from the independent film distribution community,” HHSE CEO Eric Parkinson and President Fred Shefte stated in a recent business overview. “Delivery of films to consumers via Video-On-Demand methods enables Hannover House to avoid the costs of manufacturing, shipping and storing of videos, and also results in a near-instantaneous payment transaction.”
New Ventures and Expanded Release Activities Lift Independent Media Company Hannover House
New York, NY - August 8, 2013 (ACCESSWIRE) - Over the past twenty years, Hannover House, Inc., (OTC PINK: HHSE), has grown from a boutique book publisher into a full-service media company and brand name. Now, as the first studio distributor with a dedicated Roku-enabled IPTV site, Hannover House is positioned for explosive growth as a one-stop consolidator for film, television and video programming. As the company's activities are attracting new investors and media partners, Hannover House principals Eric Parkinson (C.E.O.) and Fred Shefte (President), have released the following business overview.
VODwiz. Current activities for Hannover House include the beta-launch (and forthcoming consumer roll-out) of the pay-per-video / video-on-demand portal known as VODwiz. This new destination website and IPTV Channel is a venture with San Jose-based NanoTech Entertainment, and is designed as a destination site for consumers to stream thousands of independent films and major studio titles directly into their home televisions, computers, over the internet or through any WiFi-enabled device (including cell phones, tablets and most e-Reader devices). The VODwiz beta site can be accessed through Roku-enabled set-top devices or through the internet at www.VODwiz.com. Over the next few weeks and months, titles will be added from more than a dozen studio labels, with a short-term goal of 2,000 or more titles for streaming. Long-term, VODwiz wants to be a destination choice for any and all mainstream and independent programming available on a Pay-Per-View or Video-On-Demand basis. Existing V.O.D. sites, such as Netflix and I-Tunes have a very limited selection of titles, often limited to major studio hits. The vision for VODwiz is to allow consumers to select whatever titles they want to watch, with transactional prices ranging from $.99 to $2.99 for most programming, with premium pricing for special events and selected major studio titles.
The VODwiz website and IPTV Channel have been designed and launched through a venture with NanoTech Entertainment. Current titles on the beta-test are from the Hannover House film library, with new studio partners being added (and announced) beginning this month. Hannover managers feel that the VODwiz venture offer presents a major revenue opportunity for the company based on industry data for existing Video-On-Demand sites and the strong support that the VODwiz concept has received from the independent film distribution community. Delivery of films to consumers via Video-On-Demand methods enables Hannover House to avoid the costs of manufacturing, shipping and storing of videos, and also results in a near-instantaneous payment transaction.
DVD & Blu-Ray Products. Over the past three years, consumer packaged home video products have generated the majority of revenues for Hannover House, and are expected to continue to be a major component of the company's ongoing operations. During 2013, the company has scheduled the release of twenty titles for the North American home video market, including the current release of "Zombie Warz" (available for rental through Redbox, beginning August 13, and available for purchase at Wal-Mart Stores nationwide, beginning Sept. 10). Consumer friendly-genres of horror films, science-fiction and family dominate the home video slate for Hannover House. DVD & Blu-Ray products comprised over 85% of company revenues in 2010, and continue to grow for Hannover House, despite a general erosion in the marketplace in favor of the higher-margin, Video-On-Demand streaming model. As new technologies evolve for the delivery of entertainment programming, Hannover House is committed to maintaining a leadership role in entertainment distribution, regardless of format and media.
Previously released DVD & Blu-Ray titles for Hannover House during 2013 include: "Toys in the Attic" (Animation), "Fathers of the Sport" (Sports Documentary) and "Zombie Warz: Falls the Shadow" (Sci-Fi / Horror). Upcoming releases include the horror-thriller titles "To.Get.Her: The Spring Break Murders", "Ingloda: The Possession Within", "Amityville Asylum", "Frankenstein: Day of the Beast", "The Coffin", "Valley of the Witch" and "The Midnight Horror Show." Other upcoming DVD & Blu-Ray releases include "Arkansas Razorback Football 2013" (Sports Documentary), "Sunshine" (Urban-Action), "The Jules Verne Classics" (Animation) and foreign language features "The Weather Station" (Russia, Thriller), "Asalto Al Cine" (Mexico, Action), "Borrar de la Memoria" (Mexico, Thriller) and the "Antonio Aguilar Colecion" (Mexico, Comedy). Hannover House is looking at a year-over-year increase of more than 35% from its home video activities in 2013.
Publishing & Books. This year, Hannover House has launched a major campaign into expanding the company's book publishing activities. With five new "print" edition books and eight new "eBook" format releases, the publishing side is emerging as a major revenue contributor for Hannover House in 2013. Print edition releases include "One of the Lucky Ones" by Brenda Hancock (WWII biography) now in release, and the September releases of "Sable Shore" by James Danielson (Fiction / Mystery) and "Blind Vision" by Vivian Jeanette Kaplan (Fiction / History). Fourth quarter new book releases include the John Lennon biography, "Lennon Bermuda" by Scott Neil (Non-Fiction / Biography), and the Kennedy Assassination blockbuster, "The Verdict" by Barr McClellan (Non-Fiction / History). Three Hannover House titles were released this week onto the Amazon Kindle platform, and are expected to be available imminently through the Barnes & Noble Nook platform and other eBook retail sources.
"The Verdict: Justice for John Kennedy, Justice for America" by Barr McClellan, is expected to be the Company's top selling new release book in 2013. The non-fiction expose' reveals specific details of the plot and the players responsible for the assassination of the President John Fitzgerald Kennedy fifty years ago. The new McClellan book will be coming to hardcover and eBook formats on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. A prior McClellan book on the Kennedy assassination, "Blood, Money & Power: How LBJ Killed JFK" will also be re-released in hardcover and made available for the first time ever onto the various eBook formats. "Blood, Money & Power..." sold more than 100,000 hardcover edition copies, and reached # 1 best-selling status for Amazon.com, and # 11 ranking on the New York Times best-sellers list. McClellan also penned a prescient analysis of economics and outsourcing with his 2009 release of "Made in the USA" (Hannover House, $19.95 srp).
Major Title Activities. Hannover House has obtained the rights to a variety of major, "event-level" feature film properties, including "Mother Goose" (aka "Utopia") which is expected to star Shirley MacLaine and Samuel L. Jackson. The company has been developing a proposed 3-D, computer-generated feature based on the "Terminator" franchise, tentatively titled "T3K" or "Terminator 3000," and is subject to third party rights licenses from concept creator James Cameron and franchise licensor Annapurna Productions. Hannover House is also working with production companies on three additional major titles, which have not been publicly announced. The concept behind the pursuit of "Major Titles" is to help elevate the stature and revenues of the company by controlling titles that otherwise would become Major Studio fare; financing for these titles is being arranged through international pre-sales, bank financing, various state and federal tax incentive programs and private investment.
Corporate Governance & Public Company Stature. At present, shares in Hannover House are traded on the OTC Pinksheets and the company is fully compliant with the OTC Markets Current Information Status. Hannover House has engaged Hogan Taylor as auditors and a full audit of the company's activities for 2011 and 2012 is underway (including a historical review of revenues and expenses dating back to inception). Hannover House has completed a "Form 10" Registration Statement document, and will be submitting this filing to the Securities & Exchange Commission's Edgar Reporting site along with the completed audits in the near-term future. The company recently closed a $5-million dollar corporate funding agreement with TCA Global Credit Master Fund, which includes an audit requirement and short-term deadline. It is management's belief that the filing of the Form 10 Registration Statement, the release of the audits and the third-party acknowledgment of the accuracy of the company's previously released financials should have a significant and positive impact on investor confidence and share price.
Operations & Debt Management. As detailed in public filings, Hannover House made a substantial investment in a film in 2010, "Twelve" from director Joel Schumacher, which left the company with more than $4-million in debt. In order to provide financing relief for some of these aged debts, in 2011 Hannover House began a series of "debt-conversion" transactions that generated almost $2-million dollars for the benefit of creditors while increasing the total float of company stock by less than 17%. Over the next three-to-four months, Hannover House plans to authorize the issuance of up to 18-million shares, representing about 3% of the total share count, in order to generate payments for key creditors. Based on current and anticipated receivables and a detailed cash-flow model of the company's activities over the next year, management does not anticipate the need for future debt conversions beyond the immediate, short-term and modest issuance.

New Hannover House release, "One of the Lucky Ones" - the true story of a Jewish girl in the French Resistance of WWII, by Brenda Hancock - sets single-event sales record.
"One of the Lucky Ones," the story of Nicole Holland by Brenda Hancock, set a single-store, single-event sales record for publisher Hannover House (OTC: HHSE) last night with 182 copies sold by Nightbird Books of Fayetteville, AR. Holland's adventures as a Jewish girl in the French Resistance Fighters of World War II resonated to a responsive crowd of about 100 attendees anxious to meet the Holland and her daughter and author Brenda Hancock. The book's print edition publication date was Tuesday, July 23, 2013, with an eBook edition scheduled for release next week.
"Nicole is an amazing individual and a mesmerizing speaker," said Fred Shefte, President of Hannover House. "We were delighted at the turnout to the launch event, and excited to see many attendees purchasing multiple copies. We look forward to organizing future in-store appearances for Nicole and Brenda as their stories of the War, the Holocaust and Nicole's participation in the underground French Resistance Movement engaged the crowd," he concluded.
"One of the Lucky Ones" has been selected for placement into Barnes & Noble Stores, and is currently available through a wide number of independent booksellers, schools and libraries. The trade back edition of the book is priced at $15.95 suggested retail; the ISBN for the book is: 978-098373801.
Born Cipa Widerman into a large Jewish family in Warsaw, Poland in November of 1922, Nicole Holland immigrated at the age of six months with her mother and sisters to Paris, France where they joined her father and brothers. Her happy childhood was spent in an apartment house built for large families like hers on Ile St. Louis in the middle of Paris with summers at Colleville, later known as Omaha Beach.
Once the Nazis invaded France, and more specifically Paris, her life changed drastically. As a Jewish indeterminee or a person with no nationality, Nicole was included on the list of the first round-ups of Jews. Barely missing arrest, she escaped to unoccupied France and took on a new, non-Jewish identity. As a na?ve teenager, she was thrust from the comfort of a loving home and forced to survive on her own in several strange cities. Nicole managed to find work and friends and along the way became a member of the French Underground in order to do whatever she could to rid France of the Nazi invaders. When the Germans began retreating, she even joined the Underground fighters she had supplied with messages and arms as the only woman fighting with them as liberators.
Upon her return to Paris, she joined the CAVF, an organization of the former French Underground. Through this job, she searched for lost family members and a way to build a future without hatred, fear, and the devastation of war. One of the Lucky Ones is the story of her amazing journey.
Good to hear that the book launch was a success.

"Shuck & Jive" is the riveting, true story of a small-time hustler and conman who ultimately escapes the streets and generates his own success and redemption. Hannover House has acquired all Sales Agency (Distribution) rights to this amazing and inspirational story, and will oversee the private financing commitment for the film's production and theatrical release. Principal photography on this feature film is scheduled to begin in September (2013) with an April (2014) theatrical launched planned. Hannover House is pleased to announce that Barnes & Noble and Amazon will both be carrying the company's new eBook releases... and on a selected basis, some Hannover House titles will also be available through I-Tunes / I-Books (Apple). All of the Hannover House eBooks will also be made available through the upcoming NTEK hosted TV Book portal and channel (details to follow). In order to accommodate placement with BN for their "Nook" platform, the initial three eBooks from Hannover House will be formally available next Tuesday (July 30); these were previously planned for July 23, but this would have jeopardized the support of BN. "The Verdict: Justice for John Kennedy, Justice for America" reveals specific details of the plot and the players responsible for the assassination of the President John Fitzgerald Kennedy fifty years ago.

"Blood, Money & Power: How LBJ Killed JFK" stunned the world with its precise, factual support of the high-level conspiracy and players. As a national best-seller, the book ignited a maelstrom of media attention and a windfall of supporting evidence and testimony.
Now, as the nation approaches the 50th anniversary of the tragic Kennedy assassination, McClellan presents compelling new evidence in "The Verdict: Justice for John Kennedy, Justice for America." Is HBO worth paying for... when consumers can also watch movies over "Free TV" broadcast?
For that matter... is one "comedy" completely interchangeable with "any other" comedy movie release? One would suspect that the answer to such questions is blindingly obvious: consumers will pay for a better entertainment experience than what might be available "for free."
Each movie produced is unique unto itself as a product... some are well-made with great stories and casts... others, maybe not so great on any front.
So what do consumers expect to find when they go to HBO on cable, or Netflix for streaming? Do you think they will be satisfied with Uncle Charlie's camcorder fiasco shot last summer... or do you think they're going to expect a quality film experience for their entertainment dollar?
As intelligent shareholders and investors look at Hannover House (and the myriad of business opportunities the company is developing and exploiting), take notice of Hannover's commitment quality and / or commercial appeal with every title we produce or acquire. We're not pumping sewage into our feature film release pipeline... we're putting out films that have assured retail placements with our key accounts - and oftentimes, many of these films also come with legitimate, critical acclaim.
Yes, it's true, some indie productions are SO BAD that the only way they can get exposure is to post them onto a "free-streaming" website (and there are some such sites). But where's the consumer traffic? Where's the competitive threat? If crud-movies were truly acceptable replacements for quality films, then HBO and Netflix would be out of business. Anyone who thinks otherwise clearly knows nothing about the entertainment business.
I realize that these are self-evident observations that any semi-rational person would understand. But the company sometimes receives email inquiries about subjects that are not setting atop the foundations of basic industry knowledge. So we address these sorts of questions, too.
Until tomorrow...

New Forest Whitaker movie is getting a lot of Oscar-Buzz! Wish we could tell you the NAME of it... but that's still undecided! http://insidemovies.ew.com/2013/07/22/butler-title-appeal-ruling/
No kidding. It does not say they must have the audit before the loan. Just trying to cause doubt...
I'm not going to keep arguing with you on ihub. Feel free to talk to Eric or Fred and get your answers straight from the company like I do. Call or email them! They don't bite, I promise!
HHSE
"Now this is clear no money till they post the audits right?"
No mickey it is not. tell me where it says that? You can't because it is not there. Like I said, your seeing things that aren't there so you can justify whatever you want.
please mickey show me where I said this "as you stated HannoverHouse gets no money till they deliver the audit." You can't because I didn't. All your doing is twisting words around so you can justify your reasoning for hating Eric/HHSE.
Still waiting for you to "enlighten" me.........
If you would pay attention to what is going on with HHSE you would have realized that they did not have the cash flow to satisfy your audit demands which is why they ended up negotiating the TCA for $5 million. Why would you rather have a company spend its money on an audit when it should be spending its money increasing revenue?
Did you not see this part of the agreement? "The closure of the financing agreement with Hannover House follows the completion of TCA's review and verification of company assets and accounts receivable, including Hannover House's 175-title film library and historic and current sales activities of titles in that library."
Did you miss this?
3). Is the company ever going to release two-years of financial audits so that the stock can become fully reporting?
A: Yes, and as required for Edgar / SEC status (and Form 10 acceptance) the two years of audits must be the "two most recent" years, which in our case are 2011 and 2012. The company had previously completed all worksheets and backup for 2010 and 2011; but for 2012, there are still some items requiring backup support or third party verifications (which are in process and almost complete). Under the TCA credit agreement, the company is required to have these audits completed and posted quickly, and we see no impediments to satisfying this requirement. As a Pinksheet OTC-Markets security, HHSE has not been required to complete audits, even though it has been a corporate goal for the past two years. Now, however, the completion of audits is required for compliance with the Company's senior lender, and as such, must become top priority.
If you were paying attention you would realize that VODWIZ is about to go live and you would have noticed the NTEK/HHSE partnership which could have huge revenue streams coming into HHSE. There is much more going on with the company now then anyone here would have imagined and YOU are choosing to ignore it because you have it in your head that HHSE is the only pinksheet that MUST have an audit to verify itself as a legitimate company.
thanks for the update. Who here would be selling over this anyway? I bet no one is. just people trying to cause doubt is all.
vodwiz release date keeps getting closer and closer! $$$$$
