Guardian Technologies Wins GSA Schedule Award; Currently Bidding for Multiple Contracts at Government Facilities Across the Country; Award Pre-Qualifies Guardian's Threat-Detection and Medical Imaging Software
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BusinessWire
12:22 p.m. 04/26/2006
HERNDON, Va., Apr 26, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Guardian Technologies International, Inc. (GDTIE) today announced it has been awarded a Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), enhancing the company's ability to offer its security screening and medical imaging products directly to authorized civilian and defense agencies. The company is currently in the process of bidding for multiple federal contracts that could make use of its PinPoint(TM) and FlowPoint(TM) solutions.
GSA schedules give federal contracting officers a convenient method to procure products and services, while giving private companies greater access to federal decision makers.
"We are pleased to establish this relationship with the GSA, which will allow us to simplify ordering and procurement processes for government customers," said Bill Donovan, president of Guardian Technologies. "This is especially significant because our products address two enormous, rapidly growing and critically important markets: security screening at airports, cargo ports, and public buildings; and digital medical imaging in medical facilities across the United States and around the world."
As a result of this award, GS-35F-038OS, the company's offerings will soon appear on the GSA Advantage Web site, a one-stop shopping source for Federal government agencies and affiliated organizations. GSA Schedules offer customers direct delivery of state-of-the-art, high-quality commercial services and products at volume discount pricing. All government customers, even those in remote locations, can order the latest technology and quality services and products at most-favored customer prices. GSA Schedules also offer the potential benefits of shorter lead-times and lower administrative costs. Contractors are able to add or delete products and services as their commercial lines evolve, ensuring customers always have access to the latest technology. GSA Schedule 70 sales in 2005 totaled almost $16.9 billion dollars.

No comment on NEOM doing that, I have no idea on what NEOM may or may not do, but yeah, I was in Overture (OVER) in a BIG way quite a while back, they had the KEY to a whole bunch of pay per click advertising and the stock was headed for glory and .. they sold out to Yahoo. You still see the Overture name around on Yahoo, and the deal was okay but nothing like it could have been, IMHO.
Don't get me wrong, I was very happy, I just wanted "happier" ;)
jonesie
I do too.
I'd just as soon read about that email as read .. well, nevermind.

Daily Chart:
inforit, you are 100% correct, of course.
How could I have been wasting my time so fruitlessly for so long.
Sorry for ever intruding, I honestly can't imagine why you haven't put me on ignore, perhaps you should.
Humbly yours,

Weekly Chart:
Wiggling trendlines around trying to incorporate what's happening. Maybe THIS is the bottom for a bit. Hard to say, indicators aren't saying "buy" at the moment though, they never do AT the bottom ;) -jonesie
(sorry about the wild extremes in this chart, the buck/dime stuff, just extrapolating channel targets LOL)
I was right re: CHID
lonestar, will you marry me NOW? ;)
It is what it is W3 ..
... reminds me of one of my favorite songs by Warren Zevon ...
"It Ain't That Pretty At All"
Can't wait to look back and see a nice 20-20 hindsight bottom disappearing in the rear view mirror.
Good luck to all.
jonesie
Coincidence?
CHID is bumping up against the downtrend line in the weekly at the same time as it's thinking about busting the daily's ascending wedge to the upside.
Can you say breakout?
Not yet, but CHID is at the point to do it .. or not.
At least intraday CMF straightened up and is flying right, all (chart) systems go.
It certainly is brutal ...
... at least there seems to be a lot of interest on the bids from .24 to .245.
I haven't been watching Level II on NEOM lately though, I suppose there was a lot of interest at .27, .26, etc.
Oh well, I always have one stock where I tend to ignore my chart rules in large part and this year NEOM was it. Dang LOL, couldawouldashoulda!
jonesie
Gotta like closing at the high of day ...
... with volume 2.5 x 10-day ADV.
Let's see what happens next!!
jonesie
Weekly shaping up a bit too ...
... although I don't like symmetrical triangles nearly as well.
Daily chart not looking bad on CKRH
Daily chart ...
... nice, except for the CMF anomaly.
I'm not sure what the "catch" is ...
... but the daily chart looks great, with one SPD, being CMF in negative territory.
I'd like to see CHID break this downtrend line to the upside in the weekly:
Lonestar, re: ZENX
This is my basic approach to things these days, keeps me ahead but doesn't always work "perfectly" of course ;) All subject to other tweaking factors, but generally adhered to.

kevon:
I'm a basher then? Or is it a pumper?
Can't recall doing either.
I'm happy about the price at the moment, for reasons stated.
All predicated on the NEOM story being a non-fiction story of course.
Have a good weekend.
jonesie
Hmmm, good point risktaker ..
... but but but ... some used timing and realized huge profits in these swings, the big early one, and even these several swings from sub-.30 to .40, +30% a swing, yowza baby.
But even if not trading, I suppose then it's a matter of time FRAME as well. If NEOM keeps basing like this (if indeed it turns out in hindsight that is what it IS doing) and if NEOM is ultimately going to be successful, it's a great time for accumulation. I've tried to use timing (charts) to buy at the bottoms of these dips (haven't always succeeded, shame on me, got excited reading posts a few times and added some higher than I should have (or didn't sell some higher when I should have), SHAME on ME, MY finger pushed or didn't push the button). Even if I had done all the buying perfectly and never sold (forget the happiness of selling at .40 a few times!) I wouldn't be all that upset about things as long as I was happy having a portion of my port. in the dead-money file for a while.
Anyway, if the story is a good one then one day this little 6-months-so-far base right here will be this tiny little squiggly line way down there at the bottom of the chart, over at the left hand side.
Right now I'm plowing into NEOM profits from other stock trades (I for one don't have unlimited resources to put in all at once) so I'm REAL happy with the current price action.
JMHO
jonesie
p.s. re: "doesnt mean your happy with the price action over the past year." Why not? Why did you expect it to be higher than this right now? Did the company tell you it would be? Where did you read that it WOULD be higher than here right NOW? Who gave you any near-term or recent-past lofty expectations? I'm not trying to be a wise guy to you specifically, just being a wise guy in general maybe LOL.
phoenix, correct.
NEOM went UP for 6 months, came DOWN for 6 months, and hopefully (yuk, a chart guy isn't supposed to use that word "hopefully") it has been BASING for nearly 6 months.
The good news for the early-and-holding longs here is that the down part only retraced about 62% of the up part. (hmmm, can you say Fibonacci? LOL, I dunno, but maybe he's around).
For everyone else it's all been a matter of timing as to whether they're happy with the price action or not.

New board? (edited, near the end)
LOL, I think everyone has gotten spoiled rotten with THIS board.
The moderators have done a GREAT job within their constraints.
TONS of information and speculation have been shared here.
It has NOT turned into anything CLOSE to RB or Yeehaw.
If the occasional persistent dialogues regarding possible less-than-totally-immediately-or-down-the-road-shareholder-friendly actions the company may or may not have taken are truly THAT offensive or frightening to shareholders ... c'mon now.
There ARE pros and cons regarding any investment, if nothing else at least regarding the best TIMING of making said investment.
I for one want to hear them and at times get engaged in them. If y'all create a board where "never is heard a discouraging word" (and the skys are not cloudy all day) ... you can count me out.
LOL, what a lame threat, I know, I know, but I was on a PollyAnna board one time "before" (deleting "before" since I don't mean this board is NOW a Pollyanna board, dissenting views ARE heard here) when I was younger and even MORE stupid than I am now and SOLELY because of that I rode a stock from $40 to nurtin'.
NEOM barely hanging in, albeit choppily, at recent closing price support .. kinda sorta. Y'all have a great weekend!! -jonesie
beam, re: compensation ...
"The personal financial burden on these officers and directors must be substantial"
This is old info posted below, I'm sure there is newer out there, but the numbers shown aren't TOO bad for 2004 for a company that's not making money yet.
Anyway, making a startup company successful (I know, not exactly a startup, but ...), well, isn't that sometimes all about pain? With rewards coming after the company becomes very successful? I know it was that way with the business I started.
Just the observation of someone who would just as soon see these guys cash in penny options later rather than sooner, especially when it's 6MM at a whack.
As of 12/04:

brew, are you EVER going to stop obsessing over how you were treated or are treated?
I for one have appreciated your digging in to certain areas of DD with respect to NEOM. I'm sure others have said that, and that being the case, you can extrapolate that there are many lurking others who have as well.
If you would just keep doing that and IGNORE what people might THINK about you, and stop HAVING to be "right" all the time ... "today", instead of 2 years from now ... I think more folks in general would appreciate your input and you personally wouldn't have to spend so much time typing "proof" of things that really don't have ANYthing to do with NEOM.
C'mon guys, everybody, talk about NEOM pro and con, give us all a break, let the mods get rid of the personal attacks and stop making this a 4th grade playground.
Thanks!
jonesie
Must be a slow day.
These posts about bashing, pumping, who's bashing, who's pumping, who's an honest long with honest viewpoints, who's an honest short with honest viewpoints, who are the dishonest longs and shorts with dishonest or ulterior motives ... etc...
... are these going to go on forever, ad infinitum, ad nauseum, at what seems to be an exponentially increasing rate?
Is it possible just to STOP it? On BOTH sides?
I for one want to hear 'negative' commentary along with the 'positive' commentary, why would I not? I didn't do a tremendous amount of DD before buying NEOM stock the first time and I sure have benefitted from and appreciate the excellent DD on this board .. on BOTH SIDES!
This all just MY opinion and I know it just adds to the clutter but there are TOO many posts for me to read on here after 4 hours have passed between chances to catch up so I nearly have a need to start using the ignore button liberally on anyone who continues this yammering and I hate that because I will MISS something GOOD by doing so. If the yammering would stop, it would be easier for those who don't LIVE here to catch up!
Sorry for venting and thanks for listening, feel free to use ignore on ME! LOL

Ask doubloon? I didn't want to post that on both boards.
I'm just kinda glad I went ahead and got out, threw most available money into 6 oil/gas stocks on 2/28. Several up 30%.

Fun with numbers:
Since 1/10/06, the January Short Interest "as of" trade date, the short interest has dropped ~ 12.6%.
Since 1/9/06, the day before that "as of" trade date, the PPS has dropped ~12.97%.
So far this short covering thing ... well, at this rate ... by the time shorts finish covering ... TIV will be $0.00 or less.
Just kidding, kinda.
Still in and adding on dips as long as TIV closes over the 5SMA.

blasher, thanks.
I've seen some of your work before, think I ran into you on Ken's board a while back.
I'll have to take a good look at that, thanks again.
I guess "seasonality" might have been a misnomer for what I was doing. I had caught the beginning of a big oil/gas up-cycle last April or so, and was watching early this year for drops to lower uptrendlines and 200MA's etc for the beginning of a similar cycle this year.
Good luck to you too!

bigmoney, don't know about pre-runup prices being the short term plan or not, but ...
... they sure wanted to pin it back to .54 this morning, there's a wall of buying lined up there. 6 MM's at the moment, with most of them not showing on the sell side until .60 or better. ARCA showing huge on the bid side.
Just a snapshot though, have to see what happens next.
Were you still waiting to get in prior to today?
