Thanks Yawn!! for your very inspiring, in depth post LOL why would they not fund a mine that has already produced a more pure EMD battery material than Tronox and beat Tosoh ( The largest in the world with a 20% market share of EMD) in many of the areas, such as 400% less Iron.? Please this mine will not die, there is too many that would want it to succeed , as they need the end product domestically.

Ya are guys drunk or what, We have beat the numbers for one of the largest EMD providers in the world (Tronox) ? are you kidding me, the Numbers don’t lie!!!
400 % less Iron Zero Heavy Metal 2000% less Sodium 1000 less calcium etc? Did even read the charts and do some DD on the 2 companies Tosoh or Tronox, ? Tosoh is the largest LMD provider in the world at 20 % market share and is committed to grow more market share. maybe you should quickly sell your shares , Cause I don’t think you have a clue as to why you would own AMY.
I gotta go take a shower and cool off LOL. Go on Stockhouse and look at some more quality posters info and DD. Gharma of all posters understands the #'s. Now they will continue to remove more impurities which IMO will be funded by a strategic partner and probably Tosoh IMO.

WOW!!!!.....just looking at the Iron comparisons for the LiMn because that's what "we" have come to associate explosions & fires,,,etc... with.
AMY is 3-4 lower then TOSHO. And 4x's lower then TRONOX.
Calcium....AMY is 36,,,TRONOX is 500.
----
"The tolerances for these impurities are so low that there are no current analytical methods to measure. As such, all lithium ion battery manufacturers test every battery manufactured for a few weeks to reduce (but not eliminate) the occurrence of thermal run-away of production batteries prior to sale. "
----
LMO develops what called Dendrites. I don't see how those develop with AP ore with numbers that low. The good thing too is, these are world recognized companies AMY just tested against.
Basically.......AMY IS....by far,,,hands down....a MUCH better source for these two companies. They could either single handely or maybe even together, fund this thing in a blink of an eye.

Norm Chow has GOT to already be busy leading up to next months conference he given called......an improved & safer LM battery.

From a June 2012 conference with DEMENG LLC......." On the other hand, in the field of Li battery for cars, LG Chem has won the recognition from GM, FORD, BMW, BENZ and VOLVO."
---
And LG based their tech on.......LiMn cathode(s). This dosen't include Nissan or Hyundai either. I've always said, if AMY was to secure supplying to even one or two auto manufactuers through a 3rd party, that would be huge. Well this is 7 right here. Not to mention china designated this cathode as choice.

What are you talking about 3814???? there have been NO insiders sells since way before the PFS, Top analysts look for 1 thing 1st in these Non liquid challenging markets globally, "INSIDER BUYS" especially for Juniors. There is ONLY 1 reason for Insiders buys ( Good news coming) and there are many reasons insiders sell.
This AMY stock is pending great news, we will see a JV or Offtake agreement from a Battery company very shortly IMO.
Blairman
Ok i get it, well like i said on Stockhouse. we at least have confirmed again on the Al Korelin video that we are in talks with a Battery player and if the purity is one of the best out there we will get a JV deal done IMO.
The feeling I got was a JV partnership not a "Buy Out", which longer term is potentially much better for the SH.
it has to be shortly, this Dance has been going on for a while now.

"Thanks you for your interest, XXXXXXXX. While the work plans and budgets for the cost saving studies have been developed; the actual test programs are not yet started. The start date for this work is contingent upon the results of strategic third party discussions currently underway, as their priorities will impact the testing schedule. We are focusing on continuing the previously approved EMD/CMD test programs. I regret that it is not possible to provide you with more detail at this time
Thank you for your consideration.

Subject: Cost saving study - Kemetco
Hi Mike
A couple months ago, May 22 to be sure, you answered an enquiry of mine with regards to the incorporation of the potential cost saving results into a new tech report and if the results of the cost saving studies might be released as each test was completed.
Your final comment at the time was that the cost saving study(program) was to begin shortly.
Are you in a position to indicate whether those cost saving studies have/had indeed commenced, and if so, the approximate date that work on this effort begun?
I'm not looking for specifics of tests that will be, or have been performed (that will come in the proper dissemination format), rather , would like to get confirmation if possible that the cost saving studies indicated in the PFS are underway.
Thanks again,
XXXXXXXXX"

Well said Chippy, dont waste time responding to posters that will always,(Like a Defense Lawyer) turn what you say into doubt in the Jury LOL once the Purity is confirmed to be above the current standards, then we will make a marriage. Steele companies have been in discussions already, so its not just the LMD side of things.
Later Blairman
All that matters now IMO is the results in these battery tests and especially the purity level that we can obtain, should out very soon, if its as good as we hope, then I believe a JV from a significant battery company will be a very real option, and then we are off the the races we shall see, I am done with all the rebuttals. hope you are making $ day trading, dont short it too much 2guys, a positive NR will leave you in the dust LOL have a good weekend.
Blairman
Gharma, i spend much more time over at stockhouse , go take a look there and tell me you dont see truth in what i'm saying. You sound like a very intelligent person, and logical in nature. Well, now it is all up to LR if there is no deal in the next few months , this will be a very challenging situation, I think the EMD has been done its just about the purity and then we should get a NR and if its positive we will see a significant upside in the share price. IMO I am pot committed , so if you are staying in this AMY stock, you kind have to look for all the possible upsides and I am very aware of the downside risks.
Blairman have a good night
American Manganese Technical Report and Prefeasibility Study Section 13-7
13.3.1. SAMPLE CHARACHTERISTICS
Bulk samples, collected from two locations across the face of CWH (Cobbhead Hill) in the upstream part of the Chapin Wash, arrived at the start of 2011 in 25 steel drums, weighing about 7 t in total (Kemetco 2011). Three randomly selected drums were prepared for the test program: their contents were very consistent in grade and particle size assays. Typical blends of materials requiring size reduction contained approximately 50% mudstones and rocks up to 10" in size. Materials were crushed to top size of ?". Assays are compared in Table 13.2, showing that the three CWH (Cobbhead Hill) selected for batch testing were homogeneous in makeup. Random samples of MacGregor pit (MGP) material that were also tested showed higher grades of manganese, but otherwise very similar feldspar-dominated compositions.
Refer to Figure 13.1 which is the curve of recovery of manganese grading .0.2% to 0.5%
.This may help you understand better maybe clear up 2guys confusion
Blairman
Blah Blah Blah, here goes 2guys again with answering a reasonable response from Chippy, and
going on about management pfs, etc using this venue to try to create doubt and support his on agenda. Attn Posters dont waste your time to read or respond to him, you will get ZERO sound info and investment knowledge. Time will tell shortly when AMY gets a positive News release and moves to the next stage of the mine. DO your own DD and homework. take these Boards with a grain of salt.
Blairman
Tiesto, I have no problem with some critique of a CEO or management of a company, they often deserve it. But IF the posters I am referring too, post -Not 5 or 10 or 20 times, but 50 to 100 times constantly complaining, criticizing, calling for their removal, law suit, petitions etc over and over and never see any positive light. Then there is only 1 reason to do so, the short the stock or they are day traders. IMO NO one here, who is ACTUALLY a long term holder with any significant shares, would produce these types of posts. It hurts the SP, it potentially scares away any new person to the board, and it may effect adversely an investment decision. I have posted on Many, Many occasions, not to listen to me or anyone on these boards, I say to do your own DD and homework. I may be a little too positive but that’s because I hold allot of shares and I am sure I am Down allot more than you or most on this board. So why would anyone in the right mind go on and on with negativity??? Kicking LR out on a penny junior at this point in the company would accomplish nothing; if anything it would Kill AMY. This is not "Yahoo" where you kick the CEO out and the SP goes up. LR has got us to the point of a VERY real Significant JV Partnership on a potential world class mine and our SP is only .10 If you are a true longer term holder or your avg SP is over .15 why would you not want these posters to stop with their own negative agenda??? Unless you are a day trader and a shorter of the stock.

Well said Gharma, It concerns me only because I am a substancial AMY shareholder and certain posters attempt to prey on the newer less experienced ones, so it could potentially hurt the SP. So I am going to keep a close on what is said to see if it crosses over the line, I will report whomever I have too, if it at all violates the law in anyway. That is a general comment and not directed to anyone in particular. Thank you for supporting fair play on the boards

Negative Posters are getting sued!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Western Wind on trail of "patheticnews" forum poster
2012-07-16 13:12 ET - Street Wire
by Mike Caswell
Western Wind Energy Corp. has filed another petition in the Supreme Court of British Columbia looking to identify the Stockhouse user known as "patheticnews." The company says that patheticnews authored a forum message which stated that Western Wind had "ripped [its] shareholders" with a deal to buy land in California. The company previously obtained the user's IP address from Stockhouse, and is now asking that the courts order Telus Corp. to provide the user's name.
While Western Wind has not yet sued patheticnews, it is actively looking to identify him as well as another Stockhouse user called "j_mart." The company claims that the two users were responsible for many defamatory posts earlier this year, some of which called Western Wind's chief executive officer, Jeff Ciachurski, a crook and a stock manipulator. The company petitioned Stockhouse to provide identifying information for the users on May 17, 2012, and won a court order two weeks later compelling Stockhouse to provide user records.
In a brief petition filed on Friday, Western Wind says that it has no practical way to identify patheticnews without the assistance of Telus. Besides an e-mail address, the only identifying information the company received from Stockhouse was an IP address that belongs to a Telus customer. (The petition lists the e-mail address as info@interglobeinvestigate.com.) According to the petition, Telus is not opposed to identifying the user, but requires a court order before it will do so. Western Wind asks that a judge enter such an order.
The posts that j_mart and patheticnews wrote were detailed in affidavits that Mr. Ciachurski filed in May, in support of the Stockhouse petitions. The post by patheticnews, dated April 30, 2012, read: "Anybody realize yet that the principles of the company have ripped their shareholders in buying the Techachapi California land from the company executives who owned it. Talk about a breach of trust. It is all public record for anyone who wants to know just how all these people paid themselves and their tax arrears by having you and Grennbrier buy their land from them. Where is the SEC, TSX, etc. etc. ?" The company complained that the post contained language that would "tend to diminish the reputation of the Petitioners in the minds of right thinking members of society."
The j_mart posts appeared around the same time. One, dated April 24, 2012, read, "Maybe cardinal was right when he said jeffy was trying to steal the company ... ." That post came five weeks after another j_mart post, which read, "when he was on BNN he said he wanted a listing on NASDAQ and said he would get the share price up shortly to get listed, you cant believe a friggin thing that comes out of this guys mouth ... ."
An earlier j_mart post, on Jan. 7, 2012, referred to management manipulating the company. It read: "Hey jeffy! Why don't you enlighten us on that big acquisition, some decisions must have been made by now, and have you heard anything about who might have been manipulating the share price! (I'm starting to wonder if its not WND management, they sure don't seem to be promoting this thing) and what's going on with the SIB, was that true, is it going to happen? Or more B.S?"
Western Wind complained that the j_mart posts were clearly defamatory. They implied that Mr. Ciachurski is "dishonest, trying to steal the company, a crook, incompetent and intentionally manipulating [the] stock price."
Stockhouse has since removed the posts.
Western Wind closed at $1.25 on Friday, up six cents
Yes I did,
House passage sends the bill to a Democratic Senate that is likely to ignore the bill. On Tuesday, the Obama administration said it "strongly opposes" the bill because of its implications for the environment, and agreed with House Democrats that it would streamline permitting procedures for nearly all hardrock mining.
The White House did not, however, say it would veto the bill.[url][/url][tag]insert-text-here[/tag]
All that matters is Arizona gets us our permits and hopefully because of our type of Mine ,LR's Washington visit , we will move forward quickly and on schedule will the others. IMO we will, Arizona is a friendly Mining state and we are not killing the enviroment with this project. I am from Quebec, I saw what the Asbestos mines of the early 1900's did to the region. we are as GREEN as you get

Guys relax on the Water topic, its driving me crazy! here is a response from management:::::
"The US department of the interior published a An investigation of the availability of water in the area of the Artillery Mountains manganese deposits in 1956. The study showed a constant water supply of 3367 US gpm our requirements are less at 850 gpm."
Thats 400 % more water than we require.
We have lots of Water and we will drill 9 more holes just to be more efficient in its supply. Can we now move on to other topics.

American Manganese Inc.: Preliminary Feasibility Technical Report Filed on SEDAR
PrintAlert
Mr. Larry W. Reaugh, President and Chief Executive Officer of American Manganese
Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AMY)(PINKSHEETS:AMYZF)(FRANKFURT:2AM) ("American Manganese" or
the "Company"), is pleased to report that Tetra Tech has delivered the completed
NI 43-101 compliant Technical Report to the Company on June 29, 2012, and it is
now filed and available on SEDAR.
"This represents the culmination of 18 months of intensive work, and I am
pleased with the results," says Mr. Reaugh. He goes on to say, "We are very
excited with the overall recommendation to proceed to the next level of work,
engineering and pursuit of the required regulatory approval. I would like to
thank all of the contributors to this effort, notably Tetra Tech, Kemetco
Research Inc. and CPM Group."
Blairman
Recovery Process from Sedar report on AMY
The proposed processing plant is designed to process mill feed containing 2.2% to
3.5% Mn in the range of 3,500 t/d to 7,000 t/d, to produce 50,000 t/a of EMM at a
purity of higher than 99.7% Mn and an overall recovery of 88 to 93% Mn. Anhydrous
sodium sulphate will be produced as a byproduct.
The ROM mill feed will be trucked from the open pit to the crushing facility located at
the plant site. Two stages of crushing will reduce the ROM feed to a particle size of
100% passing 5 mm. The first stage of the crushing will use a sizer crusher in an
open circuit. The second stage of crushing will use an impact crusher in a closed
circuit with a dry screen. The product from the crushing circuit will be stored in two
7,000-t fine ore surge bins prior to being conveyed to the leaching circuit.
The crushed mill feed will be leached in two stages: pre-conditioning leaching with
acidic solution containing sulphuric acid (mainly recycled from downstream washing
circuits), and sulphur dioxide reductive leaching. The insoluble manganese in the 4+
oxidation state can be readily reduced to the soluble 2+ oxidation state by adding
sulphur dioxide. Both leaching agents—sulphur dioxide and sulphuric acid—will be
generated from burned liquid sulphur on-site.
The leached slurry after aeration will be directed to the counter-current decantation
(CCD) circuit, where the manganese-bearing pregnant leach solution (PLS) will be
separated from the leach residue. The leach residue will be subjected to multiple
stages of CCD washing, followed by further dewatering in pressure filters to reduce
water consumption and water content of the residue for waste rock/residue co-
deposit. The washed leach residue will be back-hauled by truck to the excavated
area within the open pit and blended for co-disposal with waste rock.
The PLS will be treated by two stages of purification to remove any impurities (such
as iron, aluminum, zinc, nickel, etc.) which may have detrimental effects on the
downstream operations.
The purified PLS containing mainly manganese sulphate and manganese dithionate
is directed to the manganese carbonate precipitation circuit. The precipitation of
manganese carbonate is achieved by mixing the purified PLS with sodium carbonate.
In the precipitation process, soluble sodium sulphate and sodium dithionate are
effectively eliminated from the manganese carbonate product. The resulting
manganese carbonate precipitate will then be separated from the solution by
thickening and filtration. The sodium sulphate and sodium dithionate solution will be
sent to the nanofiltration/ mechanical vapour recompression (MVR) evaporation
system to recover sodium sulphate and water.
The manganese carbonate solids will be dissolved by the acidic spent electrolyte
solution produced from the manganese electrowinning circuit. This solution is further
purified in two stages to remove any impurities and to generate the manganese
electrolyte feed for subsequent use in the EMM electrowinning process.
The electrolyte feed (neutral manganese sulphate) will be pumped into the
electrowinning cells where the anode and cathode compartments are separated by
semi-permeable diaphragms. At the cathode, Mn2+ will be reduced to Mno(s) and
deposited onto the cathode plate. Depending on process conditions, cathodic
hydrogen gas and anodic oxygen or manganese dioxide will be generated,
respectively, due to competing side reactions.
Manganese metal obtained at the steel cathode plates will have an overall purity of
over 99.7% Mn. The deposited manganese will be treated by washing and
passivation prior to being peeled from the cathode plate. The manganese metal
flakes will be transported to the manganese stock silo, and then bagged for
shipment.
Sedar report explains Recovery Method
The sodium sulphate and sodium dithionate solution from the manganese carbonate
precipitation circuit will be further processed to recover the sodium sulphate
produced as a byproduct and water, which will be reused as process water.
The heat generated from the liquid sulphur burner will be recovered and used to
generate electricity by a steam turbine, and/or provide direct heating in the form of
intermediate steam, as needed in the process.
Economic Evaluation & Conclusion
Tetra Tech prepared an economic evaluation of the Project based on a pre-tax
financial model that assumes 60% of EMM production will be sold domestically in the
US, and 40% will be sold overseas.
The base case uses the expected EMM price forecast determined by CPM Group
(CPM Group’s Electrolytic Manganese Market Outlook, 2012), as follows:
• average domestic (North America Warehouse) – $2.03/lb
• average overseas (Warehouse Rotterdam) – $1.78/lb.
For the 21-year LOM at an average annual production of 50,000 t of EMM the
following pre-tax financial results were calculated:
• 19.95% internal rate of return (IRR)
• 4.6 year payback on $477 million initial capital
• $403 million net present value (NPV) at an 8% discount rate.
Tetra Tech conducted sensitivity analyses to establish the sensitivity of the Project
merit measures (NPV, IRR and payback periods) to the main inputs.
Details of the Project economic evaluation are provided in Section 22.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the results of the work presented in this Report, Tetra Tech recommends
that AMI proceed with the next phase of work to identify potential cost savings and
additional revenue generating opportunities and more completely assess the viability
of the Project.
The overall processing concept has been proven by metallurgical bench and pilot
plant tests. The diagnostic projections of the PFS can be used to focus further
efforts in optimizing, designing and demonstrating an initial refined embodiment of
the actual operations. The main risks and challenges to the Project are shared by
many established producers worldwide and pertain to rising energy, environmental
protection, labour and reagent costs.
