Trial integrity would not be impacted by saying it is near completion, therefore the reason they aren't saying it is because it isn't so.
Oh you mean like late last year when people said not to get alarmed over that language about warrants? Don't kid yourself: this going to hurt.
I tried walking away to no avail. I may try again but this time I will not even hope that something positive will happen while I am gone.
No partnership can be imminent with this kind of thing going on!
Sadly just because we desperately need for something to happen does not mean it is likely to happen.
Is there any actual new information to support your claim?
One of your "analysts" even calls itself a bot.
Can you name a reputable analyst who is currently following and recommending NWBO?
Maybe you can find one or two.
But it won't be a list like this.
Well if so, I'm voting no even if the vote is rigged.
Haranguing them with phone calls is where one crosses the line from eccentric to nuts. I'll stay on the eccentric side of the line.
E-mails are easy for them to ignore if they want to ignore them.
If they want to ignore them, then I already have the answer I would have gotten by calling anyway.
Wow. What more can I say?
If that answer was so easy shouldn't they tell, you know, the actual owners of NWBO (that's us by the way).
I would agree that we should not receive NWBO Phase 3 data until late this year (or past that) but I think if we have missed the September 2016 deadline to finish the trial we should be told. And if we met that deadline, we should be told.
No unblinding is required to provide that much granularity.
I also agree that lower expectations is helpful and believe me, at least I had pretty darn low ones now and made a small additional bet and no more.
I contacted NWBO management by e-mail very politely many months ago and laid out the case showing staying silent due to Mr. Feuerstein and Dr. Buzdar was counterproductive and would only hurt NWBO shareholders by doing exactly what NWBO detractors want.
I have since been proven right, day after day, week after week, month after month.
Hopefully that contact at Fox won't ask NWBO why the Phase 3 trial they told Fox Business and Fox News would be over in 1 year is still going on 2 years after that report aired.
If I were Fox and I were covering NWBO (again) I would have some pretty tough questions in exchange for that airtime.
Hopefully, but I can remember getting excited when Ms. Powers mentioned that "gentleman from Roche" at a conference or everyone talked about what a great booth NWBO had at ASCO.
We'll just have to see. We have 8 more days.
To be honest, I expected this or something like it. Phase 3 news coming on time in September always seemed too good to be true. Well we still, in theory have 8 days.
Are you buying long-term NWBO investor's shares at say $6.00 a share?
Probably not.
Is someone else?
Certainly not.
Then it turns out your solution would only save me a few thousand dollars and that's counting the paper profits I'm probably going to give up today on the shares I bought sub .50. Your solution would also lock-in my losses and make them tangible - today.
Keep trying though.
I'm tempted to do the same but will probably hold.
If everything with NWBO wasn't 4 or 5 months away I might be encouraged. But I think those partnerships are, based on prior bitter experience just like HE and EAMS great for hype but of no practical value. And at sub $1.00 prices we need concrete information especially since we'be seen No Followup on all the great talk we've already heard.
Same thing with that investigation.
Hopefully, you're right though!
Everything we heard today could have been shared 3 months ago. It might have a little then, but now too much damage has been done. We need a REAL update and I don't think we should stand on ceremony about Dr. Bosch doing it since as a scientist he has more credibility than Ms. Powers anyway.
Hopefully Ms. Powers is just saving the "good part" for herself but I would not bet on it.
Or correction: I did bet on it and have likely lost. As depressingly always, we''all just have to wait and see.
Hope you're right!
I hope you're wrong but past history says you're not.
It is never, ever "do or die" for NWBO.
They always find a way to avoid being up front with us and yet also avoiding bankruptcy (at our expense, of course).
I have no doubt that if it pleases Ms. Powers to do so, they'll find a way to keep stringing us along past the new year.
Ms. Powers said "ask me at the next conference" a very long time ago and still no partnership.
I didn't catch that in the letter to shareholders sent out by Mr. Goldman.
The market did not seem impressed by today's update, so yes, it could be a rough ride tomorrow. You might have people who bought in he .30 or .40 range taking profits and waiting for it to drop down to the .30 range before buying in again since they are assuming that this was the big news this month (and they may be right).
Good one! Worrying about 20% gains when we are at the half-dollar level is farce considering where we once were, and it is a farce I have helped participate in.
This is like the National Lampoons Family Vacation. NWBO is the dad who always insists on taking the "shortcut" and takes twice as long to get there instead of just using the route everyone else follows.
Funny, but per Joe Pesci in "My Cousin Vinny" the laws of physics for saying boiling grits do not change so easily.
"Today is the day." - Mel Fisher
I think Mr. Feuerstein already said, before the high volume that he was going to lay off NWBO commentary for awhile. Correct me if I am wrong. And if I am right, wouldn't people call him a liar if he suddenly started chiming in again.
I have no doubt that if actual news breaks, one way or the other tomorrow he'll have something to say then, something that as usual, will annoy all of us.
I do not think his silence, though, is a sign that he is truly rethinking his position on DCVax.
All right, WHOEVER is running it, NWBO shareholders are being hurt by the failure to finish this investigation in a timely fashion. But naturally we'll just see people keep excusing this.
If NWBO did nothing wrong, how long should it reasonably take to prove that, again WHOEVER is doing that investigation?
I would say this time would be different because the Direct and Info Arm data should really be just about "mature" and NWBO NEEDS a win. Not wants a win. NEEDS a win.
So unless there is actually no good news to share, and we're just plain out of luck, they should be sharing something.
Basically I view this upcoming conference as a mini-binary event. Either they reveal something that helps put a new floor under the price or they don't.
If they do, by buying even a $1,600 or so more of NWBO now, I can get instant gains in a very big way given how cheap the shares are now.
I am already up a lot on shares I bought a week ago or so.
Now let's say that the conference is a complete bust. Okay, I've lost that $1,600 or so.
Fine, I will have learned my lesson for good and all.
Mission creep is indeed a serious problem with investigations and someone like Cofer Black should know better.
Mr. Black could probably determine pretty quickly that NWBO did not engage in wrongdoing as the Phase V report claimed assuming two things:
1. That NWBO actually cooperates fully with its own investigation.
2. That NWBO actually avoided the wrongdoing Phase V claims.
So assuming full cooperation from NWBO and innocence on the part of NWBO it should be pretty simple to exonerate NWBO.
Fine. Publish those findings promptly.
Then and only then, if Mr. Black wants to follow up on information that turned up during the exoneration of NWBO, then by all means follow up.
Now of course while mission creep is one explanation, the other explanation is that NWBO did engage in misconduct and Mr. Black has either already submitted a report and NWBO is sitting on it until they can release it when they have good news to offset it, or the investigation was ended because they did not like where it was going (the latter possibility is much less likely than any other).
Well we had a good day today! 20% even at this price is nothing to sneeze at!
God knows and anyone who has lost tens of thousands of dollars on this stock knows, that NWBO of all companies has proven that confidential information can also be material.
Enough said.
If it would not be material why not share it then? He cannot have his cake and eat it too.
He gave us the worst of both worlds. It would have been better to keep completely silent except for sharing this with NWBO management. He has no duty to share information with us unlike NWBO so staying completely silent would not have hurt us since unless he said something we would have no idea about this and could have waited peaceably to see what happens this week.
Perhaps but he is creating turmoil by claiming to have stumbled across inside information. Big difference.
