JRoon..... it's me! I know stuff and I fix stuff
Wow..... that's just horrible..... my thoughts go out to you and your family Captn.... no words.
Maybe it is..... and she can get a generic for that..... is it too high for lowering CVD risk?
Nah.... community cardiologists have their own brains.... they can read Nissen as much as they can read the Bhattman..... AMRN is just not promoting in the US right now. Why bother? The more you promote, the more you help the generics. Right now, special agreements are the way to go in the US until you get some meaningful revenue from Europe and the ROW. In the meantime, we wait for current trial results, a combo pill, litigation results, and a BP takeover.
Well... at least there is this snippet from the article
"In the meantime, doctors are unlikely to ditch Vascepa, Clifford Rosen, a professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, told me. In the first quarter of 2022, Amarin sold nearly $100 million worth of the drug, which is its only product. “There’s such momentum to use this agent that until the next study comes around, I think there’s still going to be widespread use,” Rosen said. To his point: In 2019, the American Diabetes Association recommended icosapent ethyl for certain patients as part of its official standards of care, based explicitly on the REDUCE-IT results. Since the publication of the Circulation paper, the ADA has made no move to withdraw that recommendation. (When I asked whether the group is considering doing so, its chief scientific and medical officer said only that it had “followed the evidence based on what was available at the time.”)
Very sad about your dad...... delaying the progression of dementia and/or ALZ is worth having hope. Nobody is investing in V with that as an investment strategy but why rain on the parade until the BRAVE study results are known?
Maybe this was discussed somewhere along the way but using AMRN numbers from the con call with regards to what they will net per prescription in the UK = $176. Karim stated that is more than what the net is in the US. The generics can only steal from us in the US at the moment so assuming they net approx the same from each script, is this enough for them to make it worth their while? I know they live off of lower margins and higher volume but does it make sense here? We are are not actively growing the US market. Are we trying to see who blinks first?
Using Raf's numbers. If their net $ per script is much lower, why is this worth it to them? Looks like a medical condition known as premature prescripulation :-P
Hikma - TRx 12,690 x $175 = $ 2,220,750 / wk
Reddy - TRx 18,138 x $ 175 = $ 3,174,150 / wk
Apotex - TRx 6,989 x $175 = $ 1,223,075 / wk
Yep.... same hernia on the left side a couple years ago. Surgery fixed that one.... now I have one on the right side that I need to have done... not sure why they didn't just extend the mesh to handle both sides. I don't remember a ton of pain but I sure as hell made sure not to sneeze or cough for a couple of weeks. The staples were annoying as hell too.
Could it actually be a hit taken due to the changes in the renegotiated supplier agreement/s ?
Thank you for posting the transcript ggwpq
Or gummy fishies....
RSU's....... it's normal that once they are issued, half are sold to cover the taxes.
Nice tweet but if you scroll down a few pics, this Dr Belardo is causing some heart palpitations..... and she's a cardio Doc.... hey Capt, can I borrow your slides? I may try to get an appointment with her and do a presentation.
Damn.... you too? Looks like I'll have to split my winnings after all.
No different here in the US...... Vascepa has 2 indications but the Generic is only allowed for High Tgs...... the difference here is that our system allows for infringement. Maybe Canada does not......
Exactly PD........ I emailed the previous Communications Director of AMRN shortly after the Du debacle and she said the same thing. Regardless of what we call it, it's Icosopant Ethyl and that is what would be filled. Now if it were a medicine like "Vastor" or whatever combo pill we come up with, that's a different story.
That's because they probably had their actuaries calculate that those that die on the first event offset the cost of those that don't so they save money in the long run. What an industry!
Nice find Dogn...... good information.
Sadly your endocrinologist should be rethinking his interpretation of the article he cites. It has little to no effect on certain biomarkers. Those biomarkers don't reflect the 4g's of Icosaphant Ethyl that are cleansing your arteries daily and reducing your CVD risk. Ask him if the National Enquirer articles on Elvis sightings in Vegas have him rethinking whether Elvis is dead?
Yes, I just bought 500 more seats on the Titanic
Your detractors are in the minority I assure you. We will be forever grateful for your efforts towards righting the wrongs. All the best and hopefully someday, we shall all celebrate a happy ending to this story.
Once upon a time Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk had no experience either. They gained it along the way. As frustrating as this is for those of us wanting to get rich quickly, it won't be happening overnight. We need to progress country by country and every country has a different agenda. I'll take a buyout along the way or other approved indications but I'm assuming this is a slow slog.
Sound logic Capt, however many things happen during earnings announcements such as acquisitions. You still have a nice chunk of shares so you're covered either way.
Understood Lizzy...... thanks for the explanation.
I interpret the Form 3 differently......
"(1) Execute for and on behalf of the undersigned, in the undersigned's capacity
as an officer, director and/or 10% shareholder of Amarin Corporation plc"
I think it just assigns Power of Attorney for these officers of the company.
I live in MA, but I prefer to ride the winding well kept roads of NH and VT.
Very cool.... I never knew something like this existed.
I'm in.... I ride a 2015 Roadglide CVO.
Well Marjac and all who assisted you...... can't thank you enough.... you gave us some hope in our justice system being more interested in cleaning up their own house. Instead it reinforces the notion that it's a tiered system of the uber wealthy and then the rest of us. Thank you!
I also want to express my gratitude to your contributions as well North for keeping us in the good fight for justice. Thank you!
Just a heart felt thanks for keeping us in the fight Marjac...... regardless of the outcome, know that you are very much appreciated.
Baby steps.... we're not saved but it doesn't suck.
We'll end green today because it's the right thing to do on the NICE news and the Celtics will beat the Warriors tonight as well. Let's do this.
I'd be surprised if any Democrats admit to being a Democrat
Ease up on the Molsens and the Labatts Hope you both get over that quickly.
And so it begins....... you rock Marjac
Very exciting Marjac...... I hope if nothing else, that you get the opportunity to present before the Supreme's, regardless if Diana Ross doesn't show up
Seriously though, that would be really cool for you and North.
You need to switch to decaf
What a F'n mess
That's why I just bought another 500. I assume the market will keep dropping but I do believe AMRN will start to make some headway. We shall see.
