Thanks for the wild vote of confidence but go ahead and keep your $$$. We'll get by without them.
I'm afraid I've lost the ability to get behind that explanation, BioC. I don't know what is causing this rapid selloff, but it ain't just overall market depression. There is something more.......
Why he's been following BioChica!! We need to be careful what we wish for, at this sell-off rate AMRN could be sub $1.00 by option expiration next week. Hell, the buying opportunities might not end until we're delisted! Woo-hoo.....
STS, you're looking at this article backwards....it was not praise, it was sarcasm. Everything they alluded to had a negative spin included!
Nobody's perfect...just enjoying life a little!! Go get'em Mike.
Well now, there's a cheerful little diddy!! And Happy Holidays to all you good folks out there in Desert Land. Ho-ho-ho!! (LOL).
I received a reply from IR re: my complaint about 1A extension, it reads in part => "That settlement discussions continue to be ongoing is not deemed to be a material event and in a previously posted FAQ, the company indicated that it would not update on the suit until a settlement had been reached. etc., etc., et cetera." So I followed up with an additional comment: "Although you might not call this a material event, the company stock has reacted to it as if it were. Upon the announcement of this news, the stock immediately traded down as much as 9% from $2.03 to $1.83 and it still languishes at $1.88 as I write this today. That fact is certainly material to stockholders and if the reason has anything to do with the Company holding back negative information in the talks with the FDA, there will most certainly be consequences. There have been so many missteps in the execution of the Amarin business plan since approval of Marine and such incredible secrecy from management. It is almost beyond belief that you are still keeping long suffering investors in the dark, it is shameful at best."
Raf, you should consider yourself lucky my friend. I bought into AMRN in Dec 2010 and Feb 2011 with some serious money at an average price of about $8.40. A few months later in May, I watched the price run to $19.87 and when it started to slip back, I sold half my stake for a double plus+. By October, the price had slipped into the $8.00-9.00 range and I was chomping at the bit to get back in. I committed heavily in January 2012 at around $8.50 but by May the price was popping again and I sold my entire position in the $12.70 area for another 50% profit. Then the stock started rising again and I watched it peak twice in June and again in July at more than $15.00. I shadowed it throughout August because by now I was really hooked. In September 2013, I threw caution to the wind and as the stock was again on a run, I made a huge grab at $14.10, thousands of shares.
You know the rest, by December AMRN announced their "go it alone" strategy to the general disappointment of the market. The stock has pretty much trended down ever since then. I still own those shares at $14.10, all of them. I've taken many opportunities to lower my base cost but that has meant adding even more money....and the stock has continued its fall. I am a true believer but that has been very difficult at times....and expensive! I take Vascepa, hoping to recoup some of the lost years that I've likely suffered at the hands of this investment. (LOL) I hope my patience and perseverance will eventually be rewarded along with all the other Longs on this board.
Happy Holidays and prosperous New Year to all!
And also to you, Ricardoga !!!
On 11/12/2015, I paid $.043 for an 'E' Warrant and on 12/11/2015, I paid $.047 for a 'D' Warrant. They are very cheap at the current PPS.
I have an Etrade account . Etrade discontinued Global Trading On-line back in the summer. They transferred my warrants from the Global to my regular Brokerage account. Although when I view my account, I only see the warrants as a CUSIP (no symbol displayed), and the price displayed is the last traded price, I have found that I can speak to an on-line broker and get a current bid and ask. With the Canadian symbol and the CUSIP, they contact the trading desk and get back to me with a quote. I've actually added to positions using this approach.
And at a nice discount....!!
I just sent this request to Investor Relations. I have never received a response to any of my Emails to IR.....perhaps this could be the first time:
I am a substantial shareholder in the Company and I want an explanation for the necessity of further delay in the 1A case. The company has given prior guidance on the 1A delay and this is the second time that guidance has been changed. This can not be dismissed without a reason other than "No Comment". As a stock holder I have made financial decisions based on what the Company has stated. When the Company retracts earlier guidance, then as a shareholder I am entitled to an explanation. Information has value and in a fashion represents a form of dividend. If the Company promises me a dividend and then reneges (for whatever reason) at the very least the Company owes me an explanation. I purchased additional financial interest in AMRN when it was announced that FDA and the Company would negotiate terms over a two (2) month period in an effort to resolve the litigation. That was a reasonable timeframe, but six (6) months is not, certainly with no further explanation. I have a decision to make, but I need information to do so. Please provide an update on the negotiation delay with the FDA. You already have the preliminary injunction, there is no justification for this continued secrecy!
P.S. JL, sorry for not including a Credit. lol
We will see....goodnight!
If there remains a company that is still viable, you may be correct. Will there be a company....I'm no longer 100% convinced? The FDA seems much more clever than the management at Amarin or our "crack" team of lawyers.
I wish I could accept the idea that the FDA will finally treat Amarin fairly. Over two (2) years ago, I posted my opinion of what the FDA thinks about AMRN (post #19769). Events since then have already begun to erode FDA powers and there is more to come. The FDA will never voluntarily be supportive of AMRN interests because they are 100% contrary to interests of the FDA. If AMRN doesn't grasp this truth soon, the FDA strategy of delay, delay, and more delay will eventually overcome this foolish little company. We will wind up a blip in history and sadly, you can take that to the bank! (It's all you'll have left!) JMO
Zip, I wish I could believe otherwise, but you are precisely on target with your assessment. Somehow AMRN management has failed to muster the fortitude to ram this fight back into the FDA's court. Instead they enable FDA, handing them delay upon delay and playing right into their historic strategy! And who winds up taking the hit.....again? Just us, the AMRN shareholders. Unbelievable and complete bullshit!
I hope you're right but when it comes to trading in AMRN, there can never be any guarantees....it's just one bad dream after another..... JMO
Just wanted you to have accurate info.....the way you bust your ass on behalf of this investment, it's the least one can do. Thanks for your diligence!
It starts right around Page 64 of the full budget document.
Hi Robin, I wish you are right but I've lost my faith. The Market Makers will begin walking the PPS back down as soon as the market opens tomorrow. It wouldn't surprise me if the week closes out back at $1.80. Just My Crappy Opinion
Right, I couldn't find it so I manually paged through it until I came upon Title VI.
The FDA budget is included, BioBill, under Title VI, Food and Drug Administration.
Any thoughts on positive catalysts over the balance of the year that could help propel the PPS back toward $2.50? Really believed the direction would be up as more and more positive data has been revealed.
Great article, lots of factual comparisons but I was put off by the relative percentage rise in LDL-C quoted by the author. The indication was only a small percentage increase of about 3% when comparing Lovaza to Vascepa. JT has been touting up to 49% increase from the IP at various conferences. A 3% rise is barely significant, not much of a marketing hook.
Well, they said it would follow within a few days to complete the EV Unit package. A few days is.....a few days so it should be shown by the end of this week at the latest. Otherwise revealing their tendencies to over promise and under deliver!
WTF is going on? Is there some new concern over EPA? This price fixing will eventually drive me crazy.
How would he possibly know what Titan has accomplished over the last year? It's not as if anyone is keeping track of and publishing these developments. Titan is going to need an aggressive program of Public Relations before there is any hope of a sustained PPS rise. The direction is positive but the milestones not only need to be achieved, they need broad publicity!
I believe it's called PR and Titan management has been confused. They thought the abbreviation stood for Puerto Rico. They've been down there for a month searching for investors! All clear now though!
It's getting cold outside....have you looked in Aruba! Bon voyage!
Oops, repeating myself.....better take my morning Vascepa.
Just my opinion, but I am of the school of thought that FDA will NEVER concede anything to Amarin. The only advantage that will ever be achieved by Amarin will come by way of a Court Order.
What is it that you're referring to, Raf?
Thanks T.Y.
Has there been any further word on the status of Warren Robotics partners (JnJ/Google) re US approval of the arrangement?
Kiwi, I can't believe that you don't see these comments for what they are.....JT is tripping over his own ass trying to cover it with a totally convoluted explanation of why he shouldn't have been so enthusiastic in previous CCs! You're a smart guy.....read between the lines man!!! JMO
Stick to your commitment Geo. As you point out, anyone who isn't too lazy to get out of their own way can call Titan and get answers. For the record, if you fall into that category you have absolutely no justification for complaining on this Board about anything.
I am certainly interested, BB.
There is a saving grace to this situation....there is almost no volume trading in the stock. It probably bodes well that neither retail nor institutional are really selling. However, it would bode even weller if someone was actually buying! IMO
No, it's just that our "guy" has no credentials that merit appointing him CEO.
