Army to develop combat video games
By Ben Berkowitz
By Reuters
October 25, 2001 2:42 PM PT
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The U.S. Army, in an unprecedented alliance with Hollywood and a major university, is providing funding and technical advice for video games that aim to hone the skills of the next-generation of military field commanders.
The Institute for Creative Technologies, which is jointly operated by the United States Army and the University of Southern California said on Thursday it would develop two combat video games, with financial and tactical backing from the Army.
The Los Angeles-based institute said it will partner with FCS -- itself a joint venture of studio Sony Pictures ImageWorks and video game developer Pandemic Studios -- and Quicksilver Software to develop two games to be released over the next two years.

New Army Soldiers: Game Gamers
By Noah Shachtman
2:00 a.m. Oct. 29, 2001 PST
Video-gaming armchair generals will soon get the same leadership and command training as combat-ready infantrymen.
The U.S. Army, working with a University of Southern California research lab and a team of game-making firms, is developing two games, set on urban battlefields, that will be used both to train grunts and entertain geeks.
Players will command a nine-person team in C-Force, which is being developed for one of the "next-generation" gaming systems, like the X-Box, Game Cube or Playstation 2. CS XII, the other game, is a PC title in which players lead a company of about 100.

There has been a lot of information presented by Gamecom/Ferris Ticker: GAMZ.
The Facts:
1. There should be around 3-4 Million dollars in revenue booked for the third quarter that should be filed around Nov 15th 2001.
2. The current float is around 7 Million and all of the shares issued in the merger were restricted. The float hasn't changed much by the merger. If the Market Makers allow the stock to trade by supply and demand buying pressure should cause the stock price to rise.
3. The exposure from the Buick drive with confidence tour allowed Gamecom/Ferris to secure and complete deals with Red Baron and Chevrolet.
4. The Phoenix show was well received and there was interest by exhibit directors and science center museum curators.
Things that may provide Gamecom/Ferris with exposure:
1. The Red Baron and Chevrolet projects could produce additional deals like the Buick project did.
2. The Phoenix show could produce many deals within the museum and science center industry.
3. Gamecom/Ferris may be receiving Market Maker and fund manager interest due to the investor shows they have done. The Financial Fest show this weekend looks promising.
4. They should get a lot of exposure and deals from the IAAPA show Nov 10 - 17 http://208.247.232.62/ This is one of the biggest trade shows of the year.
5. They may be able to sign one of the following deals they recently mentioned soon.
a. Homeland security deal - Judgmental force training.
b. Virtual reality theater in Las Vegas deal.
c. 1000 plus unit deal in Europe involving convenience stores- first part of a much bigger deal valued over 3 Million.
d. Deal involving the fear of flying.
Here are some potential profit figures based on the amount of revenue generated.
The market for virtual reality entertainment products is a new and rapidly growing industry. As a result, while the Company has specific objectives regarding its growth in revenues and earnings, due to uncertainty presented by this financial market, the Company is not prepared to share its projections at this time. However, the Company believes that it can achieve sales of $50 million per annum within five years. Further, the Company plans to operate at a profit. The Company believes it will be profitable once sales hit $4.1 million per annum. The Company estimates that if it were to achieve sales of $7 million in a given year, it would earn $1.3 million in net earnings and $.04 in earnings per share. If it were to achieve sales of $15 million in a given year, it would earn $3.7 million in net earnings and $.12 in earnings per share.

Gamecom/Ferris Ticker: GAMZ will be attending the Financial Fest October 27th 2001.
Friends and shareholders:
Attached please find this morning's press release announcing GameCom/Ferris' participation at this weekend's Financial Fest in San Diego.
This is part of a "package" that we bought with Emerging Company Report, which also was to include last week's scheduled Discovery Expo at the Crowne Plaza in New York, along with the appearance on the Emerging Company Report television show. Although the Discovery Expo was postponed until February, we nevertheless thought it best to proceed with my trip to New York and the taping of the appearance for the Emerging Company Report.
The San Diego Financial Fest works perfectly for us, as Lance Loesberg, our executive vice-president, is in Las Vegas today with one of our newly up-dated demonstration units, and it'll be an easy jump for him to represent the company in San Diego. This will be a joint presence with the staff from Emerging Company Report.
I hope some of you in the San Diego area can get by the show and see for yourself our new VR technology, which Lance will be demonstrating.
I trust some of you have seen the Emerging Company Report interview at www.emergingcompany.com/program.htm . It was recorded live on the floor of the American Stock Exchange just one block from ground zero in New York last Wednesday morning. It was an amazing spectacle, with all the noise and activity, but I trust you liked the substance of the interview, which followed some of the topics discussed in our recent shareholders' call-in conference call.
Speaking of the shareholder conference call, we will soon have the transcript available for your review on the corporate website.
I was pleased with my reception and the audiences I received during last week's visit to New York. Magnum Financial representatives did a great job setting up the appointments, and were with me at every interview. There is no magic in obtaining the confidence of the investment banking community -- the process is slow and deliberate -- but I felt that my message was well-received, and that some very high-quality people and firms will be watching our progress.
The acid-test for any public company is whether or not management delivers, and we are hard at work following through on the high-profile projects I mentioned in the recent shareholders' conference call. Our current promotional strategy is to "set the stage" by raising public awareness of our newly-combined company and its present initiatives, so that the company will have followers and observers when we announce major news.
These are simply my personal comments, and should not be relied upon in your investment decisions. I strongly urge you to conduct your own due diligence with regard to an investment in GameCom/Ferris. I respectfully refer you to GameCom/Ferris' filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Twister - Merger is complete revenue is there you just won't see it until they announce their third quarter earnings around Nov 15th. They have put out real news Red Baron deal Chevrolet deal ect. Hopefully they will be able to close a few of their major projects (3 million plus deal in Europe, Virtual reality theater project, homeland security project and potential leads from the Phoenix show to name a few) they recently mentioned before earnings are announced. Your right they are probably pretty busy getting ready for the IAAPA show which is one of the biggest trade shows of the year.

Since 1993, the Company has been utilizing patent-pending technology to produce virtual reality experiences. The Company has developed virtual reality products that include a completely immersive, 360-degree environment, incorporating the sensations of motion, touch, sound, and smell for Fortune 500 companies such as Buick and Pepsi. Customers at the Company’s VR Zones pay for the experience, and most games allow interaction via computer networking. People in the VR Zones “see” each other in a virtual arena, playing a licensed game via position-tracking headsets and position-sensitive hand controls.
The Company’s trained personnel operate these venues and each center operates profitably. The VR Zones can be re-created in any theme park or similar high-visitor location. Thus, the Company can provide these clients a turnkey operation with proven revenue and time-tested operating procedures.
Advertising/Promotions:
In 2000, the Company successfully completed a virtual reality promotional project for Buick, which gave users a 360-degree, virtual reality test-drive of Buick’s LeSabre car line. The Buick project marked a threshold point in the Company’s history, utilizing new VR technology as a catapult for other promotional projects for Chevrolet, Red Baron Pizza, and other well-known companies.

GameCom lines up $1M convertible debenture financing
By: DeNell Russell, Staff Writer October 12, 2001
Arlington-based GameCom Inc. (OCTBB: GAMZ) placed $1 million in convertible debentures with Bethesda, MD-based investment firm Olympic Holdings LLC.
The bonds will be funded in three phases over the next two months; the first phase was issued the last week of September, and the third phase will be funded by Nov. 15, according to GameCom.
"Olympic exhibited real interest and excitement over the future of our company," GameCom Chief Executive Officer L. Kelly Jones said. "In addition, the extremely favorable conversion terms of the debenture reflect Olympic's confidence in our ability to execute upon our business plan."
Based on the financing terms, the convertible debentures may be converted into common shares of GameCom, determined by the company's market price at each phase's time of funding.
"We are very excited by GameCom/Ferris' future, as evidenced by our capital infusion," Olympic manager William E.K. ("Kyle") Hathaway II said. "The company has an exciting story to tell, with excellent management. We look forward to being long-term participants in the future of GameCom/Ferris."
It's official
Prior to the issue of the first round of convertible debentures, GameCom's shareholders approved the company's merger with virtual reality entertainment producer Ferris Productions Inc. at a Sept. 21 meeting. Merger documents have been filed with the secretaries of state in Texas and Delaware.
"The merger of GameCom and Ferris is a powerful combination with endless opportunities to pursue," Jones said. "Initially, we believe the video game, entertainment, and advertising/promotional markets will allow our newly-combined company to realize the fastest and most profitable revenue growth, which will provide value to our shareholders."
Shareholders also approved a proposal for the board of directors to change the corporate name if it is deemed appropriate by marketing and focus groups.

Their promotion campaign starts next week with Kelly Jones CEO of GAMZ meeting Market Makers and fund managers and doing a TV show. IMO maybe the last chance to get in at these levels.
Take Care,
Greg
zimmy - Thanks! Hopefully Kelly can gain interest in the stock when he speaks to the Market Makers and fund managers next week.

Gamecom/Ferris Ticker GAMZ conference Call tomorrow...
Friends and shareholders:
Attached is this morning's press release announcing our shareholder call-in conference set for tomorrow afternoon.
I am very pleased to be hosting this shareholder conference call; it's something we had long planned to do, and we intend to continue on a regular basis in the future.
Merger? New product initiatives? Olympic financing package? Results of Phoenix show? New acquisitions? These are all fair game for tomorrow, and I point out that, since the conference has been publicly announced, I am liberated somewhat from the normal "materiality" issues regarding insider information.
This is your chance to find out why management at GameCom/Ferris is so excited about your company's future, and I hope you will be listening in, or, even better, will join in for a question or two.
These are simply my personal comments, and should not be relied upon in your investment decisions. I strongly urge you to conduct your own due diligence with regard to an investment in GameCom/Ferris. I respectfully refer you to GameCom/Ferris' filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Arch will you be able to listen in on the GAMZ conference call tomorrow? It would be good if we can spread the word because Kelly can answer many material questions during the call.
