I'm not discounting it.... but I do think its posturing.. THe way he said something to the effect of... "We can't approve this until they've gone extra far to ensure it's safe" was kind of a softball thing inviting them to respond that they have. I know he did say "they haven't yet"... but even then... they haven't given all permits, so it's kind of true. It just struck me as a fence-riding kind of thing. Enough where a constituent would be happy... but not a ton of meat there.
I mean.. either it gets approved or it doesn't... I just think that his letter isn't a huge concern. On the plus side, 600 comments isn't overwhelming, and the acknowledgement that the legislation wouldn't apply to us is good. On balance, a fairly neutral piece that possibly explains some of the price drop.. but doesn't necessarily indicate to me a drop in the chance of approval.
I'm not thrilled about the lack of info about Chase (why bring it up at all?) and I'm not thrilled about being late with filings (Now, if EVER, is a good time to get them done timely)... and I'm not a fan of the recent tweet about the stock price... which is a penny stock PR move and not what you usually see from a serious legit company.
I have those issues, but still trusting the process. TO me, there's no chance that he made it up, and they'll certainly tell us when they can.. so my only concern is the size of the deal, rather than any concern over whether there is one or not.
Anyway... good luck to us all. Lot of big things potentially coming.
What doesn't look good?
600 comments.. not an overwhelming number. I read with a plan to think it didn't look good, but didn't really come away concerned. THe attorney general's letter looked more like posturing than like something that would actually make a difference.
Was good to also see confirmation that the new legislation would not apply here, even if passed
"Budris said that legislation would apply to future proposals and would not stop the MedRecycler proposal, which has already entered the licensing process."
All that said.... did we or did we not have a filing due today? Wasn't expecting anything too groundbreaking or meaningful to be in there... but was hoping for it to be on time. Just more ammo that opponents can use as talking points against this company.
90 days.. I think we get approved. Countdown starts now. I'm holding on because what other option do I have at this point LOL. I'm gonna make some money here or go broke trying!
I know it's more than the prior year, but everyone had priced in more based on company guidance. Yes, awesome if they had never said anything, but when they were projecting $4m, and seeming pretty comfortable about it, no long here would have said "it will be awesome if we hit 2.5".
I do think the company is making progress and I do agree that revenue growth is progress, but I also believe that much more had been priced in, certainly it had been by me.
I think we drop tomorrow and I think until Gary can get beyond earning only 62.5% of the revenue he projected for a year... the price is going to be discounted.
We'll see what happens.. maybe I'm wrong, hope I am... But I believe we'll close below 2 cents tomorrow.. and if we do, I believe that means that a majority is not believing the 3.5x overrides what I see as a revenue miss.
Now on the plus side... we did get it done on time, and this Rosen character seems enthused about the future. I just think Gary got way ahead of himself. In fact, if we were thinking we'd get 4 and only got 2.5, thank goodness Rosen stepped in because we apparently were counting on 1.5m more in cash flow than we got, and I'm not sure what kind of straits we'd be in now had we not gotten the help.
Hope I'm wrong and even if I'm right, hope q1 is awesome.
Good luck to all!
WE were projected to have 4 million revenue in 2020.. ON 12-15 I wrote IR< and they said October and November were "very good".
Am I correct that we missed on the year by $1.5 million?
If so, T]that's not a small amount. I know things are in the works, but this is a big enough miss that it's concerning how far off the projections were.
I do like seeing growth and I'm holding on, but this is not what I was expecting or hoping for. I don't see how we can project $10m this year when 4 turns into 2.5 for last year.
Am I missing something? Seems like we drop to under 2 cents tomorrow, but I only saw this number, so maybe there's something else I'm not considering. If there is a lag, please let me know... but even if that's the case, I don't think they should be projecting such high numbers.
Good luck everyone
I'm hesitant call price erosion an 'event'. Not saying it's a good thing, but following the herd isn't going to make anyone money. Nothing out there is new, so if I didn't sell Friday for 5 cents, I'm not selling today for 4.5 cents just because a bunch of other people are.
I've made my peace with this investment. If everything works out, then I've made a ton. If nothing works out, oh well, life goes on. What I couldn't feel good about is selling so close to the 'finish line' (meaning--- solid events one way or the other).
I'm willing to take my chances and see what happens! Since I know I'm not selling at these prices either way... tuning out is probably best for sanity :)
As frustrating as the recent events are... I would say this is now a 'woodwork buy' (tm! :) ) Meaning... When people come out of the woodwork, it's time to buy.
My guess is we don't see it go much lower than it is now.
News can't come soon enough. Probably best to tune out until then.
Good morning! While I really hate to see this drop.. for better or worse, the price seems fair at this time.
The Company tweeted that there'd be big news in the coming weeks, and we just haven't gotten a lot that's 'bankable'.
I believe the Chase deal is significant and I know many here do too, but we have also seen some of the claims on the Website, so I completely understand that the market isn't giving that any value until we get real, actual details.
There were so many cool things. Trucks, Chase, UL, Durango... and it just seems like we're no further than we were a month ago. I say 'seems', because I know we are actually further and that Nick is working on stuff... but until it's shown, the market is not going to believe it.
Maybe we're waiting for the 30 day comment period to be up, maybe we're waiting for filings... I don't know.
It really seems like we should hear from UL soon. I'm being patient and no way I'd sell now, but it's been a tough ride down and the week started just like the last few have ended.
Hoping for better times ahead!
Good evening!
Excited about financials this week. Curious what numbers would cause anyone to buy/sell. I'm long and holding either way, but would like to hear if anyone has a target number
(For example--- If revenue is below 3.3, I'm selling anything above 2 cents, or if revenue is above 3.6, I'm buying anything below 3 cents)
If not revenue, is there something else you're looking for? I think it's more meaningful to say it before the numbers come. Thanks for any thoughts!
your opinion.
I lose nothing hoping for a positive outcome.
Have a great day!
there was a tweet a while back from SNPW that the third party review was complete and it was implied that it went well/no issues.
This was more than 'implied' actually.. They've given dates and anticipated opening and stuff like that... with full knowledge of what was done in the review.... so I think we're good on that front.
Wrong town? Article says he's West Warwick.. Are you saying the article got that wrong? very possible.....
Well,This is the Town PLanner. I agree that it is inevitable... but the question isn't so much about stopping it, but tying it up in court.
Admittedly... I have no idea what that position is or does..
Hopefully if anything does get tied up in court... it does not preclude us from operating in the meantime.
Has anyone seen anything get delayed after RIDEM approval? Anyone know what a Town PLanner is?
Here is the quote and article I was referring to.. Not sure how 'in the know' the town planner is, but this is a concerning quote.
Following the closure for written comment on April 15, DEM has 90 days to render a decision. Regardless of which way it falls, West Warwick Town Planner Mark Carruolo is convinced it will be appealed. He wouldn’t be surprised to see this battle stretch out for a decade and even reach the state Supreme Court.
https://johnstonsunrise.net/stories/leading-charge-to-stop-medical-waste-facility,160391?
I'm trusting him to pay up when the court says he either has to or go to jail.
I don't know the man, but given that he has been uncommunicative with shareholders and given that he hasn't taken pains to clarify to shareholders that the TRO stuff that Diedre put out there was bunk (as I would have done) we certainly have cause for concern about what actions he will take.
This concern could be easily remedied if he answered calls or issued a PR... but he has not done so and I don't believe he has plans to do so. He hasn't answered your calls in a year.
Not sure what you trust about him.
At this point, I believe our faith is better placed in the legal system.
Wow, that's no good.. A decade? Guess we'd better hope that UL and the panel stuff comes through in a big way!
I'm not exactly 'against' it.. But if there are 100's of opposers out there with signs and placards and whatnot... it might be a bad look.
Then again, any publicity is good publicity and if the opposition comes off as crazy... Then maybe it makes us look better.
I dunno, either way works for me. I guess I'll leave this one to Nick :)
Reading the article, or what I can see of it anyway... I guess it doesn't affect us because the legislation bans permitting of the facilities... but we already have the appropriate permits, or the ones that this would address?
Not sure, just guessing.
I'm kind of thinking we may not want a big 'grand opening' if opposition is going to be out in force. That's too bad. While it would be nice to have a big event and get some good PR... it may be best, if we get to that point, to just quietly go about out business.
GLTA
Nice to see the price creeping up. Been a while.
I agree with you on this one. Not expecting much of anything from the 10k. We may see a drop if people are hoping for something that doesn't come.
Subsequent events section is always interesting and we may find some tidbits in there... but I'm not counting down or anything. Don't recall that we've ever had a report here that caused much movement.
I know this is an obscure thought.... but if this legislation truly doesn't apply to us.... then could we potentially be better off if it actually passes?
It would mean no 'competition' in the state.
Plenty of other places to build our next one so I don't think we're concerned about any others in RI.. It's a small state.
Anyway, I'd rather see it shot down on principle, but I wonder if we'd actually be better off if it passed.
Yeah I agree. They do have the chance to change that around before they actually start selling anything.
There are plenty of other ways to say it... "Top innovator in the industry" "revolutionary enhancement" "Will forever change the way panels are used"
If our stuff is as good as claimed, we shouldn't need all that.
Not sure anyone could sue for that.. but I really do hope it gets changed. It's not a good look, especially as we're trying to get this RI thing going.
GLTA!
Who are you going to sue and for what?
I was kind of getting used to the Twitter updates. I get that they needed to go dark a little bit while we're in this comment period, but it's tough to wait.
I don't think we go up or down much for a while. Excitement has waned a tad. Uplist/UL... things I think we all expected by now and days come and go without news. The excitement will come back for those who are patient, just tough to weather the storm in the meantime.
Pretty quiet around here the last couple of days. My guess is everyone is trying to buy up shares before the big news/ pop, and trying to keep the story hidden until they do.
I still doubt we hear anything in April about MedRecycler, but you never know.. I think once the comment period has passed, we'll begin to see an Uptick on anticipation. Again, would love to hear about the UL thing on the same day... and maybe an uplisting to boot. Maybe as early as May... which just isn't that far away.
Lot of catalysts here. Good luck to everyone!
That would be great to get a lot of requests to pass this bill because we're tired of people bbq ing, or lighting candles in the winter, or having a furnace in their house, or whatever would be covered in this sweeping legislation.
As Nick said.. doesn't apply to us either way... but will still be interesting. That said, hopefully Nick has gotten some legal help to point out the issues with the bill.
I've got some credible evidence that would suggest that some of the biggest opposition to MedRecycler is coming from folks deeply involved in the Di-Hydrogen Monoxide game.
technicals schmecnicals! :) When this pops no one is going to be worrying about 20/50/100 DMA :) :) :)
From a pure value perspective... What is this worth with UL and with MedRecycler approved?
Much higher than where we are now in my opinion! ( and yours too I know)
I don't think that will happen.. They'll want to give the appearance of having reviewed and given due consideration. I don't mean that in a sneaky way... I just mean.. they're going to want it to not look rushed. I imagine there will be a 'rush' of comments the last day. Maybe 20, 25, who knows? Those will have to be reviewed and considered just like all the others.
No evidence behind this, but I'd say minimum two weeks just to give all appropriate parties time to review.
Some great points made on the posts here this weekend, and anyone worried about the bill should read the last few.
Would be crazy to hear from RIDEM and UL on the same day. That would be the squeeze to end all squeezes.
Not to be 'that guy', but I think you are better off just buying and telling us afterwards. I mean.. $100,000 is a pretty big amount... A day's volume sometimes ( though not lately).
I mean, as a holder I love that you may drive the price up... but as someone who likes your posts and wants you to have as many shares as possible... I'd suggest never telegraphing a buy that large.
Additionally, I don't know that I'd do it all in one day. You have about 2 weeks until day 0 (that we could potentially get a decision).. though we may start to see a run up before that time.
Either way, good luck snapping up all those shares. Hope you get a bunch, though they sure won't be mine!
GLTA!
Again, no disagreement that it's directed at Medi.
Possible that it would have had to pass by a certain date in order to not be grandfathered in.. or any number of other reasons.
The company is on the hook in a big, BIG way if they say it doesn't apply, and people invest, and then this new law passes and keeps us from getting started. I have no evidence and would love if someone posted that actual proof or reasoning, but I am fully confident that if SNPW has made a public statement that it doesn't apply.... then there are some pretty compelling reasons behind that.
I agree that there's uncertainty and I'm not telling anyone to throw money at this idea.. I'm just saying why this increased my confidence that we will get approval.
GLTA!
I agree that it was intended to be directed at us, I think it just didn't work out. I'm not sure how it doesn't apply. Maybe it used the word 'incinerate' somewhere along the line, or maybe we'd be grandfathered in since the process has already started. Either way I think we're on a good track.
For the record, I don't know about fair/not fair. Part of the risk of us embarking on something like this is knowing the risks in getting it approved. I'm sure at some point in the process there is risk that new laws will be introduced that would impact us. I don't think it's a coincidence that Med posted on 4/1 that the legislation wouldn't impact us. Maybe 3/31 was some kind of deadline to introduce it and it wasn't done... not without flaws, at least.
So.. we took the risk, and it looks like it's going to pay off. Not sure how they concluded that either, but as with the rest of this, I'm going to trust the analysis of Us&RIDEM as opposed to some legislator who threw together a quick bill for a sound byte.
Best news I saw today was the MedRecycler Tweet. This new legislation that has been introduced about high heat facilities
" WOULDN'T APPLY TO US"
I wasn't super-worried, but I just assumed that it was written up to try to prevent this from opening. Now, it seems like a great thing. Let this pass, and our ( safe and clean) facility would have a moat and even more of an advantage over people that would come in and try to start up second rate stuff.
The opposition here is late to the game, and I see a lot of pandering without substance. Thing is, I have nothing against them. I get it.. the idea of it sounds odd. Hopefully they'll eventually see how safe and clean this is and become our biggest advocates.
Seriously.. my tax refund is taking FOREVER! It's been over two weeks. Where is my money? I don't know how long the review period will be, but I'm doubting it's the full 90 days.
GLTA
Very solid points.
Well look at us up above 6 cents like a bawsss.
Why would she need to mention us? I mean... we've been the market leader since 2009, everyone already knows us! ;) ;) ;)
Nice to see some green today and hopefully more to come. Still strange that we haven't heard from UL.
Hopefully soon!
why the jump today? Are earnings coming this evening?
Maybe it was zw who said that, sorry!
Interesting that they seemed to be indicating to AJ that she is the problem here if they get more under if she wins.
I guess time is a factor too.. They'd probably rather have less now than more 5 years down the road.
Yeah I saw that too. I mean.... people need to advertise and I get that a bit of embellishment goes with that, but come on.
That's not exactly how I'd approach it.
Anyway, hopefully good things happen and we live up to this billing!
Is it odd that we are advertising this before UL certification has come through?
Surely we can conclude that it's imminent??
