I don't see a law degree in the new Board director's qualifications, yet they say he has a "law practice." Did I miss something? Or are things different in Germany -- maybe you don't need an actual degree to set up as a lawyer? Or maybe he was the scientific consultant, attached to the legal department, in the various companies where he worked?
Beware, that BayStreet outfit has been accused in the past of being involved in pump and dump. I'd rather not be mentioned at all than have them target AVXL -- in either direction.
Sadly that story is NOT like the PolyHeist. I am quite familiar with that company. The article states:
The science will prevail. Looks like there will be another bear raid today.
Youssef, I'm very sorry to hear about your sister. I wish that Kevetrin had been available for her to try. My condolences.
Enough silliness for tonight, hopefully we can get back to things that are actually interesting or useful or both tomorrow.
Ah, diversionary tactics, changing the conversation away from the fact that you are not willing to bet that CTIX won't be up by a minimum of 10% in the next six months, nor can you offer an alternative investment that would be better.
Won't even bother addressing the rest of your diversionary tactics.
Post 'em if you got 'em. Which I doubt.
like, for instance, "goodbye"?
My point was that you are not willing to bet that the stock won't be up a minimum of 10% by the end of the year -- about 20% annualized -- nor that it won't almost double in the next year and a half.
Therefore, unless you can provide better investment alternatives, please stop trying to claim that this is a bad investment.
Do tell. Please document all your predictions and prove that 85% accuracy rate.
Uh huh.
Then put your money where your mouth is and take my bet. I utterly disagree with your characterization of the work of this CEO and of this company.
If only they really would drive by and not return!
It does seem like a common pattern in biotechs -- IPO, great excitement and hoopla, price stays around IPO price or higher for awhile, and then whammo, it tanks hugely. Then takes years to get back up there.
For example:
http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/quickchart/quickchart.asp?symb=jazz&insttype=&freq=2&show=&time=20
Year 1 (6 months): Oh boy I got a piece of the IPO. Hmmm, well it's not down too much, okay we're going back up again, whew
Year 2: OMG what's happening? Well, I'll just hold on, it will recover. Well, I'm not going to sell now, it will come back. OMG it's too late to sell now, if I sell it will go back up and I'll feel stupid.
Year 3: Oh #@&% why did I ever buy this garbage, what a mistake, if only I could go back in time. Hey wait a minute, maybe I should sell... well I'll sell when it gets up further. Oh no I shoulda sold here #@&$
Year 4: should I sell and take a small loss, no I'll hold on, no maybe I should sell, hey look it's back up to the IPO price I think I'll sell
Two choices now:
Year 5: Why did I sell, it's going up, I am SO STUPID
or
Year 5: I guess I'll hold on and see, hey it's going up, hey it's almost at a double, oh no it's rolling over I'd better sell. (Then it goes from 40 to 180)
Either that otcmarkets.com level 2 doesn't get all of the exchanges, or there were tens of thousands of shares traded that never made it onto level 2. 123tom was it you who gave us that link, or, if not, do you know the answer to that question?
Well, sometimes it's hard to resist when you're hungry for some good action....
otcmarkets level 2 stays the same and yet tens of thousands of shares trade. Huh?
How silly, who would pray to Santa Claus for a pony? Everyone knows they wouldn't fit down the chimney.
The ask is moving back up. (eom)
Nice try. Or maybe not so much. (eom)
all of a sudden 19k on the bid at .413
Dr. Rally Monkey has been busy learning how to sew, so he can make his new drum major's uniform for the parade. He'll be back soon.
And some of it was even by people who owned the stock.
We definitely need a sarcasm smiley -- re-read his old posts and you'll see --
haha that happens to me too, every time I think I see a clear direction it's the opposite.
Yeah it looks like "they" are keeping a constant 10k shares in 2500 share lots just above the bid.
Bought a little more this a.m. for my IRA.
No more weak hands and the big seller has stopped for the moment, seemingly.
Whoever it was who posted that Level 2 quotes link --

Thank you -- useful.
OMG too funny maskone yes I remember (eom)
Having gotten a number of PM's about the stock manipulation article, let me respond to all at once, and also to those who wondered but can't send PM's:
I posted that article NOT to try to scare you from investing in biotechs, but so that you would know that you're not crazy when you see what looks like manipulation in the stock, or mystery posters suddenly showing up to bash the stock and then disappearing, or any of the other things they talk about in the article.
SCIENCE trumps all of the stock manipulation. When a stock has something powerful behind it, like a new therapy for cancer or infection or psoriasis, or for a previously unmet need like oral mucositis, no amount of manipulation is going to prevent the stock from going up. 2.1 BILLION for a cosmetic procedure like double-chin injections? How much more is a treatment for a real disease worth?
However, before great results are proven, all kinds of games can be played with a stock. Know what you own, and you won't be shaken out by games that criminals play. And they are criminals, make no mistake about that. It's not "just good investing" to try to scare people out of their investments with fear-mongering, any more than it's "just good investing" to run a stock up on pumping so that you can sell to suckers at a higher level.
For people who say the topic is old and don't want to discuss it, you're sure discussing it a lot.
Double chin cosmetic treatment worth 2.1 billion. What's any one of CTIX applications worth?

It looks like NITE that's suppressing the price -- 100k shares at .44 ask.
EDIT: never mind, here's the link:

previously I said: can you post whatever the level 2 info is that you're seeing? thanks --
Someone else does remember it, here's the link:

I'm sick of this ridiculous argument, so go ahead and post whatever you want, I won't post on this again.
If we get the results we are hoping for on any trial of any of the drugs, for any application, 4.93 will be but a distant memory -- far below.
I do think that the run-up of the price was in part from manipulation. It moved awfully far, awfully fast, and then there was massive selling up there -- signs of a pump and dump, although I am NOT implying that there is anything at all wrong with the stock, nor that it doesn't belong in the high 4's -- it was just the rapidity of the movement seemed odd.
I'm confident in my memory and that of others, and I'm not going to spend a ton of time searching around. I'm sorry about your relative, I hope that this will move speedily but sadly it doesn't seem like it's going to be in time for him/her to benefit (assuming it works).
Here is an article that everybody who invests (or trades) biotechs should read:
http://smithonstocks.com/illegal-naked-short-selling-appears-to-lie-at-the-heart-of-an-extensive-stock-manipulation-scheme/
This guy worked on Wall Street for years and now runs a small biotech newsletter. Probably lots of us here get his free emails (I don't subscribe to his paid site).
Actually you were implying that he would sell, because you said you'd "be very interested to see" if he would sell. He's made a public statement about his confidence in the company with a small purchase plan over a period of time (rather than one lump amount purchase). To speculate about future sales in language couched in doubt is indeed implying lack of confidence by the CEO when the opposite is true. Nice try.
The stuff about the change of venue of the trial, and why. Although the info about needing previously untreated patients may have been new, I am not sure if that had been stated before.
EDIT: I just saw your other post and I disagree that it was not stated that the MD Anderson trial was terminated. The term "moved" or something else like that may have been used rather than "terminated."
