That's how they operate. The pumps are designed to benefit swing and day traders.
That would make me smile, especially if a major PR is lurking around the bend. I really want to see management jump on this, but I know they aren't going to until they're ready.
You could very well be right. We may slide above .03 at some point. I am quite prepared to simply hold my shares at this point. I've just seen these pumps so many times and watched the same pattern unfold. At some point the Beacon swing/day traders do tend to slide back out for their profits.
Hmmm. High .02s might be about the end of if for the pump. I guess SPNG management isn't quite ready to make their move with a reinforcing PR. I can hardly WAIT for the real deal with this one. It promises to be spectacular!
That's the key, for sure.
I am a subscriber to Stock Hideout, which sends out all the Beacon pumps. With very few exceptions, they have caused a quick pulse in the price of the featured stock, which quickly dies away. The company would have to reinforce the pump with a significant PR for this to sustain, in my opinion. Most who follow Beacon understand this and try to get in and out very quickly for their profit.
Looking for input.
There are many on this board far more knowledgeable than I, and I seek your input. I have owned shares of SPNG since September and the PPS right now is only slightly above where I purchased my shares. I did not imagine that this would be the case ten weeks ago. It seems to me that, as long as the PPS bounces back and forth in this very narrow range, it can be manipulated at will, regardless of news and/or glowing revenue reports. I am beginning to believe that slow price movements will never amount to anything because, as soon as the PPS creeps up to the .03 to .04 range, the powers that be walk it back down at their leisure. I am theorizing that any significant upward movement is going to be sudden and explosive when artificial barriers are finally broken. Thank you in advance.
I have an image for everyone.
Who has seen footage of one of those huge rockets that carry payloads into space? When the engines first ignite on the launching pad there is all this tremendous upward thrust, but the payload does not move right away as gravity is the adversary. Then, slowly at first, and then with every greater speed, the payload clears the launching pad and hurtles into space. To me, SPNG is in that "on the launching pad with engines thrusting" mode. We just need to find a way to overcome our own particular gravity. Okay, forgive me. I write for a living.
tturner617,
I agree with you 100%, having said the exact same thing in previous posts. Until the company deals with the share structure and shorting issues, the PPS will not reflect the company's successes. I am holding in hopes that they will, but at this point in time the price can be held in the current narrow trading range indefinitely. That having been said, I am holding in hopes that the company will, indeed deal with critical issue, as they have said they will.
It seems as if the devil is in those details none of us here can know. It's a bit like trying to solve a classic mystery with only a portion of the necessary clues at our disposal. Well, I've held this long (almost three months), and I'll keep holding, if only out of sheer curiosity!
Look at almost everyone's stock this year. Hmmm.
Or perhaps you hadn't noticed.
Dear Moe Speaks:
I believe you misunderstand the intent of my message. Please be advised that everyone who purchases a stock is not either A.) in for the long haul (a two or three-year time horizon, or B.) a swing trader out to make a quick buck. There are those of us who might have a time horizon of several months and who, out of sheer economic necessity, cannot stay in stocks that do not move month after month, especially when they have such great potential to move. My comment to Carpediem was meant to convey the message that the company's intent (which may or may not be fully realized) to grow into a major concern within a period of years does not address the current issues facing certain of us who do, indeed, understand how a business works. We are simply saying that the company MUST address issues pertaining to the stock, and must do so in a timely manner.
Dear Carpedeim357:
With all due respect for you knowledge and enthusiasm regarding SPNG, posts about what the company is doing to build themselves into a larger company carry little if any weight as long as the stock price can be manipulated at will by people we will never meet. Until they fix the stock, It does shareholders no good whatsoever for SPNG management to build the company. I guess what I'm saying is that posts about what management is doing in regard to the business simply do not address the primary issue here.
I'm not so much nervous as I am analytical at this point. I have watched this stock move in this narrow range since buying it in mid-September. I am actually slightly in the black at this point. I am starting to think that my mistake was not selling it when it spiked into the .04 range. Had I known what I know right now, I would have sold and moved on. For many of us it has become a question of dead money. When do you take a small profit and move on? There's the rub for the company. They MUST show us that it is worth our while to NOT move on. Thus far, they have failed.
I missed your post of a month ago. I only have time to check in here periodically. We definitely agree on the problem and that the stock is "on the line." I am looking for credibility from management. They have to show that they can take positive action or more and more people, me included, are going to start selling their positions.
Right now - this month - is pivotal for this stock.
We can talk all we want to about what the company is doing - revenues, deals, projections, etc. - but, as has been pointed out to me countless times in this stock trading game, the company is NOT the stock. Until management takes serious measures to fix the share structure and eliminate the NSS issue, what the company does will never have more than minimal relevance to the stock price. SPNG, the stock, is being played like a yo-yo, and we, as shareholders, can never profit significantly in this environment. In my humble opinion, press releases and talk of what the company is doing to build revenue have become almost completely irrelevant until the other issues are addressed and action is taken.
Absolutely correct. I've owned some shares in this one for several weeks now and have been largely fluctuating between break-even and modest profit. It's a decent little speculation, I believe - probably worth holding for a while to see if it has some higher levels in its future.
Yes, I could not resist a little sarcasm. Some of the posts on this board are so ridiculous and repetitive that they make very easy targets. I did not intend to to confuse anyone.
I liked the Texas loss, too. However, those of us in my neighborhood tend to view it more in terms of helping to set up our USC Trojans for the national championship game.
With the superb DD available on this board, I've finally been able to figure it out:
There's a killer Roon naked shorting SPNG with massively diluted shares.
I think we should all be very encouraged by this.
Remember, this is pennyland. It's mighty difficult to equate the largely ponderous movements of AAPL to the sawtooth fluctuations of SPNG. If AAPL falls from $100 to $85, it will rarely snap back to $100 the next day.
It's been fluctuating in this exact manner and in this general range for weeks now. Amusing to pull out a dramatic verb like "hammered" all of a sudden. "Hammered" would be if we suddenly dropped to .01.
It's getting harder and harder for me to imagine that this stock can't go to .10 or higher. I see an artificially compressed PPS that won't be in this range by the end of the year.
I've placed my $3.00 limit order (GTC) as well.
Today's pullback was predictable in the aftermath of the Friday run-up. It's actually holding up better than I thought it would. I'm going to wait around for the promised announcements and see how close this might get to .10 before it's all over. I think it has the potential to at least break .06. This particular stock seems to be more driven by fundamentals than technicals, but both are factors.
Thank you, sir. Your continued enthusiasm was part of what kept me believing there for a while.
I knew I was going to be glad I bought this stock a month ago. I do believe I'll hang around a while! GLTA!!
Well, since everyone is touting their favorite college football teams, I have to give a shout out to my USC Trojans - two big wins in a row after the upset loss to Oregon State. I see them moving up steadily and grabbing one of those top two positions before the season is over. NO one is going undefeated!
And it sure is nice to see SPNG flexing some muscle!
I just hope this stock still has the capacity to bounce like it has in the past. I shouldn't think a revisit of the .04 neighborhood is completely out of the question over the next several weeks. I have no delusions of this stock going much higher than that. The company may hold promise, but the stock does not move in accordance.
Wow, talk about lack of interest in a good company! I am surprised by how this one is trading. If the 10q doesn't bring in some buyers, I am not sure what else is going to. The PRs have had no impact, so this upcoming 10q is a critical moment for SPNG, in my opinion. It doesn't matter how much money a company makes, or what kind of earnings they project, if the market doesn't care, it doesn't care.
Ladies and gentlemen, as weak as things look for us to today, I am VERY glad I am not currently invested in any big board stocks. This is a disaster of historical perspectives brewing today.
I sure hope you're right.
Yeah, it's starting to look like it. No one wants the share price to bump up a few pennies more than I do, but there is definitely something going on here that is not evident in anything the company is telling us or in anyone's rosy analysis. .06 would be fantastic, but I am not so sure that is going to happen anymore. I will be patient, but I've never liked the games these penny stocks play.
Two days ago I got criticized for saying that people were getting out of this stock in a big way. I took the criticisms with a grain of salt. Well, I'm sorry to say I was right. The rate a which this stock is being dumped is only accelerating. I am a shareholder and I got in low enough so that I'm not hurting TOO bad just yet, but this does not look good right now. Trust me, I want to believe in a turn around. Right now, I would be thrilled to see this back at .03 someday!
Please don't respond and tell me I'm not seeing what I'm seeing. Let's just hope the SELLING stops very soon.
I've just now had an opportunity to see how the day ended. I am very glad there was some momentum at the end. Let's hope for a better start and finish tomorrow.
Just looking at the volume and the downward pressure on a day when every indicator was pointing the stock north. Today feels a little different. I sure hope the price bounces up by day's end and finishes green. Don't get me wrong, I have a pretty good number of shares and I am holding on to them, but I can't quite get this stock's movement to "add up." I get the feeling that if it takes off, it's going to break out suddenly, and we're still not going to know exactly what happened.
Yeah, welcome to the wide, wonderful world of penny stocks!
Best of luck to all longs!
There are some significant shareholders getting out in a BIG way today. I'm not saying it makes any sense, but that's what is happening.
I took all the euphoric posts with a BIG grain of salt. This little stock has been above .04 and I think it can go there again. I got in at .024, so I'm still okay and looking for a possible double, again, if next month's 10K has some substance and outlook.
SPNG sure does trade in a narrow range. There are obviously some dynamics weighing this one down. At this point, I just hope a really positive 10K can move us up a couple of cents in October. I've learned to be realistic with pennies.
This is positive news. It's been a funny two days since I bought at .024. One minute I'm ahead, the next I'm behind. The price has kept bouncing just above and just below my buy-in price. Here's hoping it stays above from now on!
Here is a question born of ignorance. I see where the SEC is FINALLY taking dead aim on the criminal activity that is naked short selling. Will there actions have an impact on OTCBB stocks like SPNG (I hold shares) as well as big board stocks?
Thanks in advance!
