I have an image for everyone.

Who has seen footage of one of those huge rockets that carry payloads into space? When the engines first ignite on the launching pad there is all this tremendous upward thrust, but the payload does not move right away as gravity is the adversary. Then, slowly at first, and then with every greater speed, the payload clears the launching pad and hurtles into space. To me, SPNG is in that "on the launching pad with engines thrusting" mode. We just need to find a way to overcome our own particular gravity. Okay, forgive me. I write for a living.
