Thank you forthat view point. It is exactly correct. The witch doctors of advertizinf know that you have to, no must, keep your brand name in the consumers face at all times. It's what sells the product.
Thank you. 71 years of experiance counts for something I guess. LOL
Does anybody here believe that our dramatic recovery, such as it is, today has anything to do with "First Solar" dramatic decline in the last two days? I do. I believe that smart money have finally found us, and the increase today is a reflection of that. First solar is in trouble the investors are shifting money to us.
Jose has heard this before from me. What we might consider fluff PR, which we do call it, is because we generally already knew the info, or don't consider it relevant to the end product so it is therefore of little use to us. Not earthshaking news, which is what we all want, all the time!
What is fluff to us though, may be exciting news to someone looking to invest some money somewhere. Or They have seen the company name frequently, and maybe this time they decide to look into the company a little more deeply. Decide to invest. Maybe become a big time deep pockets friend!
Any "marketing types" out there. Explain please how it works. It isn't just random PR land. There is a purpose to these things.
Correct! And they could give a flip about patents. So there you go.
Ah so nice to be able to buy 10k worth while it is still cheap. May just buy some more now that I think about it. This one is going to sail high regardless of tye nay sayers.
Hey! What ever floats someones boat these days is fine with me. Personally don't care if they are right or wrong, well maybe a little, but bottom line is, I don't worry, I won't worry, about useless issues Being debated. JN closed the subject in the CC and for me that's good enough. If others have spare time on their hands that they can afford to use as worry warts, more power to them. For me subject is now closed. Done. Over.
Thank you. You are correct in that assessment. JN is not worried about it. He has one of the best patent lawyers in the world handling the process.
It isn't a problem. Panasonics work was sited in the patent application as a referance to the development of the SLTD cell. Even JN isn't worried about it, so I fail to see why anybody else is. It is simply a none starter. Jim would not be trying to get a manufacturer if there was any possibility of having a Panasonic patent infrigment law suit. The man is NOT stupid. IT IS NOT THE PROBLEM, OR A PROBLEM!! No matter how hard someone wants to make Panasonic a problem they simply are not going to be one.
Panasonic is not a problem regardless of where our panels are produced. We don't need to start this conversation again.
My suggestion for you is to put the cell at the bottom of your list as why/why not, invest. I invested a number of years ago because of the cell potential. Nowdays I invest more in the company, based on growth.
Take a look at year over year growth. Are we growing? What has the stock done in the last year (not withstanding the upgrade)? Has it grown in value year over year?
And finally. How does SLTD line up against other solar install companies? Are we headed for and or reached profit, as opposed to loss? As to revenue, how do sales to profit compare? Are the companies with larger sales revenue, percentage wise, out performing SLTD? Or are they covered in red ink in spite of large sales volume?
As to future revenue/debt, say over ten years, which company is showing today, or in the near future, a profitable operation with no outstanding lease debt?
Answer those questions and welcome aboard.
Oh, one last thought. Just because you are selling more doesn't mean that you are making more money. Yes it takes money to make money, and that can mean potential losses initialy. But at what point do those losses become a burden to the stock holders? Does how you conduct business, ie. Lease vr. Ownership/ Acquisition vr. Organic growth determine your future profitability?
So far JN's vision of how to grow a company, how to conduct your sales/revenue business, has proven itself to be the better path of growth!
Alexander Ghram Bell was told that his invention was a waste of time. Nobody was going to use a toy and he would fail. Tesla was told that nobody would ever create a way to trnamitt electricity through the air. Naysayers tend to be wrong a lot. Oh yeah, almost forgot. The british King informed the american colonist they would never be free of British rule. Go figure!
We have a ways to go to get back to a full penny but it will happen. In the meantime be prepared for the shorts to start their games and for profit takers. I have a fairly largestake here and I don't want to rain on the parade, but have seen time and time again what the scum of the market can do. Keep your cool.
Let's hope the market loves it as well.
Please return to your Warcraft fantasy world and leave reality to the real world.
Hmmmmm, well that did formerly include yourself. Guess we were just lucky up to now!
I'm not confused at all. I stated the facts quite clearly. If it is a co owned then both or either can file. End of story. It's not confusing at all for most people.
No doubt the road well traveled for you. Stick your thumb out, no doubt you will be accepted somewhere. We won't miss you. Bye bye.
Why are you guys confusing the subject. Unless they are co patent owners parter ships don't count be they real or otherwise. Only the holder of the patent request has the right to sue for infringement. If you care to debate the issue at least talk about the same apples and don't throw a random grape in there to confuse. Won't work and isn't working..
They don't need to pay for the legal services up front. All they need is to think they have patent or patent pending infringment and almost any patent lawyer, if he/she agrees will take the case and be paid later out of the settlement. No win no pay. It's quite simple. Why try to make it a death blow to the company. I guess those who arn't long don't care. But opinions are free.
Backlog isn't always the companies fault if it isn't filled. Yes having manpower is a companies problem, however often it's on backlog due to customer not ready, supplier backlog (unavailable to ship),weather related factors, goverment red tape, city inspectors not avaiable. To say if the backlog grows it is the companies fault is simply shortsighted thinking. Yes customers don't like it, however I found that if you make it mandatory to keep the customer informed it becomes a non problem.
Would be better with the original ya know?
"Whatchoo talkin' bout Willis?"
It's a gov project! To say they are difficult customers is to denigrate the word difficult. A lot of companies do not want anything to do with goverment contracts. Your talking egos and agendas here. Getting caught in the middle can be nasty.
Exactly. It has not yet been submitted IMO.
If they are like most states, they must publish the agenda x number of days prior to meeting. That is to alloe forcomments and challenges. Don't know law there but that is the norm.
Then somebody needs to get it on the agenda, because as of now it is not schduled for the next meeting.
You have PM the rest of this week. Ihub birthday freebe
Bye bye! Don't let the door slap ass on the way out. Love it when a basher leaves the building.

No Raz you don't need to download anything. What I think younare seeing is an ask to download a outlook calander update to put a reminder in you calender. You can ignor that as you alrady know when the cc is.
What are you using as a computer? Ipad?
All Texans are good looking, just some better than others. Will try not to sit to near as take away your glow.
You perhaps noticed my new icon a glass of merlot. I try not to leave home without it. Never know when you might need to celebrate!! I am always the optimist, can not abide negative until something is proven negative. I'm to old to change my mind set now. Go SOLAR3D. The world is your oyster!
Ok! So no surprises allowed? That is simply not the American way. We live for surprises. We LOVE the unexpected. We thrive on breaking news. Well ok we may not be that completly nuts, but we are all a little crazy.
