Bale out...truth can be stranger than fiction. Price is based on Supply and Demand. A strong demand on a stock in a single day CAN raise the "bid" price 4 cents in a day.
Also, The 4 cent close was a sale...an "ask" price. The 8 cent purchase was a "bid" price. The spread in the bid and asking quotes and the corresponding action on those prices can ALONE account for MORE than a doubling in price at levels such as SMME.
This is "penny" land, NOT the New York stock exchange. Such a fluxuation in price is not uncommon here. Such a change in price--4 cents--was only a $5 million difference. And as you see now it under 7 cents.
Think about it....
Bale out...reread post #5923 or the complete annual report. Some positive info there. Not everyone reads the info of a company at the same time nor reacts to the info within the same time frame.
This rise in price is not uncommon to SMME or any other company. Some people are willing to risk their funds at this level with the info provided within the annual report. Others, one who I just spoke with yesterday, was eager to add to his position when he saw the price rise to 8 cents.
If we all reacted to the info at the same time then the stock market would be a much different animal.....
G'day
LMU...Isn't there an old saying that goes something like-- "There is no such thing as bad publicity."
EVERY PR, news release, word mentioned about the product and company and related information gets the company and the product to new eyes and ears. I work a second job at a major retail company as a cashier and am amazed at the number of people each night who are unaware of the savings card offered by the company. At times it seems as if some of those people just got off a spaceship from Mars. Yet each proclamation of the information regarding the savings card that reaches those uninformed people allows them to save money on their future shopping trips. Who really knows what effect the weekly PR's will have on someone down the road.
And let us not forget that Chaya has experienced and professional people around her offering advice and their expertise as well as contacts. It is unthinkable that we should be given "news" from every discussion that takes place re: the company. I would even say that if that were the case there would be more critical comments made here and elsewhere about them.
There is not a shareholder in SMME, and apparently some non- shareholders as well, who is not frustrated by the speed at which The Card's progress is being made and has the eagerness to see it succeed NOW. But you and many of us long time shareholders are aware of the improvements made to The Card and the financial decisions Chaya has made to save money and reduce costs.
Christmas is not far away...and just maybe Chaya will turn out to be the Santa Clause who brings us the biggest gift ever.
Bale out...The Card is finished and ready for production once financing becomes available....and
Yahoo.com publishes the PR's for SMME
And let us not be so narrow in our use of The Card. It can also be used for security purposes--government, high tech, military. The USA--now capitalistic moving toward socialistic--government would pony up to buy over a million alone.
I've heard that eye scan biometrics has some problems as does voice recognition.
Gross profit is $25/card
The share price represents exactly a consensus of interested and non-interested investors--believers and non-believers--with those who need cash and so decide to sell, despite their belief in the company, thrown in.
The investor's belief in the company is based on past performance, future expected performance; funds available to invest--with one's spouse's approval; expected timeline on a product coming to market, if it is a development company; number of shares in the float and outstanding; rumors spread about the product and/or the officers and management team of the company; and other considerations, both personal and universal.
The share price, in short, is a democratically determined point based upon people's opinions of the company...and you do know that sometimes the majority of opinion can be wrong/incorrect-- which would account for a low share price in the present moment and a much higher share price in the future.....
Let me highlight for you the fact that people at the NIBA conference did sign up to speak with Chaya re: The Card and as it has been pointed out in the PRs and elsewhere....sales and production of The Card are moving forward.
The presentation is an introduction to the product. If you go to the NIBA website you will see a picture of a sign up board where people who want to explore the benefits of the products presented sign up to have an eye to eye discussion regarding the product presented in detail.
And as has been stated here and elsewhere--there were sign ups to talk to Chaya about the product.
Well said LMU. Any bashers of the company after that post will only be telling their true purpose in their posts==to depress the stock price. Time and patience is now all we need. Time to focus on turkey and not turkeys as we in America soon celebrate Thanksgiving Day!!
My average cost of SMME is $.30 on 13,000 shares. I still expect to have a nice retirement===soon. :)
I work at a MAJOR retail company as a cashier serving around 250-300 people per 8 hour shift and BELIEVE ME, no where near 48% of the people are using cash....closer to 15-20% and nearly 75% of cash users are of Latino ethnicity.
Please refer to post #3554 and my comments will make sense.
The sentence you seem confused about is a response to the last sentence of that post.
Your second sentence refers to the ignorance and lack of facts stated in post #3554 about the company and its integrity.
Your third sentence, though I sense a concern for my financial and personal well=being, will go without comment.
YEA DUKE!! MATE, I'M RIGHT BEHIND YOU... LET'S BE SUPPORTIVE AND TRUSTING. "Better to light a candle than to curse the dark". Posters: discover the FACTS. SHARE THEM. RELAX........
Maybe less conjecture and more truth. With offices around the world and a desire to make this Card a household product I know that Chaya is spending time to bring it to market.
PATIENCE my fellow shareholders..........
An offer or a rumor of an offer? BIG Difference
ALL stock prices are reflective of supply and demand of the product--influenced by news and information--not determined by it. To wit--Apple stock goes up and down, not always based on the information released by the company but by the number of shares being sold and purchased.
That the price goes down is NOT necessarily indicative of a "loser company". I have at times NEEDED to get cash and have had to sell stock that I did not want to sell. Such may be the case here, at times.
No one who has followed this stock for some time. Hospitals have tested the product and updates and improvements have been made. It is best for all to speak from truth and facts rather than ignorance and lack of information.
When she is able she will.
Pottsville...Mate...Buddy...The info Duke provided is peace and hope to an old and poor man---what's smaller than a minnow? (12000 shares). My long and frequent comments were only meant to lessen the stress on Chaya so she could focus more on what she has been doing without the added burden of shareholders frustrations on her mind.
It was my impression from other commentators that they believed she was sucking out money from the company and having a darn good life at the expense of others. I always believed she was working her azz off getting The Card to market and into production.
The intent of my Support for Chaya was the belief that she was working long and hard for the financial benefit of us all and that we could, therefore, give her time to do her job without the added mental burden of our need to know what was taking place along the way. I believe one can do a better job when one is focused on the job at hand.
Hats off to Duke for the info!!! and to Chaya for working long and hard, through the frustrations, to make us all wealthier people.
Duke...THAT is great info. Keep us informed.
will you tell us???
It appears to me that she is working too long and too hard and travelling too much to support your comment.
Here I go again...
I may be one-of-a kind but as I ponder my investment in SMME I realize that Chaya DID NOT have to share her product with us. She could have gone down a different trail. She could NOT have involved we present investors in the potential success of The Card and a financial future much greater than we ever imagined. Thus, I am thankful for the opportunity to ride her coattails to what may be one of the biggest payoffs in penny stock history.
No one has been forced into investing $100, $1000, or $100,000's into the POSSIBILITY of the success of The Card...and the addition of the MKR. ALSO, as savvy investors, we all knew and know that SMME was and will be CONTROLLED by Chaya. I'm sure she appreciates our constant suggestions as to how to take The Card to the next level and does not shut out our calls for more information, more news, less "fluff".
We all know ANY new technology takes time to progress. At $50/card NO company is going to invest millions of their funds without a lot of research, meetings, testing and more meetings. This all takes time and Chaya seems to be making very good use of that time.
CHAYA, I'm behind you. Keep doing what you are doing. Your years of work, sweat, stress, travel, meetings, decisions, commitment of company funds, continued improvement of The Card's technology way exceed any of frustration we investors express as we sit on our butts waiting for the money to roll in off of your idea.
My wife and I are off to see our granddaughter...I hope your days ahead will be as enjoyable as ours...

Bale out...did not mean to slam you. You have always seemed to be in the know and for my misunderstanding of your mood and feelings I do apologize.
You have seemed to have gotten the answers to you questions. However your comment re: contacts must be addressed.
Knowledge of the product by many is not the same as a "contact" of many.
I know and am aware of many who need the stuff I sell...but that does not translate into sales. However, of those with whom I am in contact with, they do purchase the stuff I sell and often through them I am given a "contact" to whom I will also sell to.
My definition of my use of the term "contact" has to do with those who will trust the wisdom of the one I know and will look into the material suggested to them. In short: It's NOT always what you know...but who you know.
Still buddies?? :)
Bale out...calm down. Life has to be more than the future of Smartmetric.
As LMU has said the answers are there. Go to the website and you will see the locations of all the offices.
As for the why, ask Chaya. That is the location of the engineers who have developed the parts of The Card which make it the BEST and MOST ADVANCED card of its type. Guess Israel has some very smart engineers
.
As for Mr Bright, the judge at one of the previous trials referred to him as very competent counsel. I've never met the man and only recall that his credentials include being an attorney who researches for the patent office.
As for announcements regarding the future do read the whole of the PRs. The latest one tells us that the President of the NIBA is now a consultant for SMME...giving us many contacts we previously did not have AND that there are some who are willing and able to invest in the promotion and production of The Card. That to me is neither fluff nor bubble....
Now...rest well my fellow investor...
You do know that SMME has offices there and it is where much of the specialization for The Card took place...don't you?
LMU... Isn't your article the basis for our litigation? If it is it seems to me that the 3 panel court didn't even consider the high court's decision.

SmartMetric Says the Home Depot Credit Card Information Theft in Canada Shows That EMV Chip Card Technology Alone Will Not Protect Consumers From Future Theft - It Is Estimated the Latest Card Data Theft Could Cost More Than $3 Billion
NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Sep 18, 2014) - SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME) -- The exposure and theft of credit card information from 60 million Home Depot customers could lead to over 3 billion in fraudulent credit card purchasers according to a report by a Canadian news service, CNC News. The President & CEO of SmartMetric Chaya Hendrick said today, "This is just another example of the very serious breach of trust between consumers and the credit cards they use every day and the continuation of the exposure to identity theft the current credit card system puts all card users to." What makes the Home Depot theft even worse for consumers is that it took place in both the United States and Canada. The exposure of consumer credit cards in the United States is well known since the USA still relies on the highly vulnerable 40 year old mag strip technology for passing credit card data. But having all the Home Depot stores in Canada attacked with customer credit card information stolen is a serious and worrying issue in itself. Since Canada has converted the vast majority of its credit cards to the new EMV chip card standard this massive credit card data theft in Canadian Home Depot stores shows how ineffective even the current EMV chip card technology is against such attacks. The chip card technology now being introduced into the United States is the same technology already in use across Canada and was thought by many to be the solution against retail credit card data theft. The Home Depot theft in Canada has shown that this is not the case. The consumer credit card information is still seriously exposed to theft.
SmartMetric has created an EMV chip based credit and debit card that has an inbuilt fingerprint reader that is used to turn on the consumer's card before a transaction can take place. "SmartMetric just finished a presentation of its technology to the National Investment Bankers Association in New York and is extremely pleased with the reception the company and its advanced card security solution has received by the New York investment banking community in attendance," said SmartMetric President & CEO, Chaya Hendrick.

YES...the new PR states that the presentation this week went well. No details given...hope still reigns!!! Will this Christmas be the best ever?? :)
Oh LMU...you honor me with your trust and confidence.
First: was the 6-5 decision to hear or not hear the appeal before the whole court? Wasn't sure what you were saying.
Secondly: If you go to the website of National Investment Banking Association and look under conferences and then the Sept, 2014, conference in about 2-3 weeks a clip of Chaya's presentation should be posted.
Thirdly: a note to the new investment advisors might get us an answer as to the question about response to the presentation---or---I trust bilboo, who seems to have an in, may soon post something to that regard.
MY THOUGHT: presenting TWICE at the conference in one year seems like a GREAT thing. I believe you will soon be able to help many, many people with the rewards you will receive and buy two islands--one for you and Randy, and one for guests. :) :)
MacOS...You may have been in biometrics for 5+ years but you sound as if you've been out of the field for 10 years. YES, SMME has a fingerprint reader that will fit into your wallet;
and YES it is rechargeable when it is inserted into the machine being used.
Technology does advance at a rather fast pace...doesn't it.
Check out the Smartmetric website....
Mattski....If you read the PR's over the last years you will see that progress and innovation has taken place with the card. For Example: the battery in the card used to last only 2 years and one had to have a device at home to recharge the battery. Now the battery lasts 5 years and is recharged when inserted into the machine being used.
I can only believe that these and other improvements to the card, as well as hours of meetings regarding the litigation, took time to develop and were ideas which became reality only after months of trials and research.
I am glad that years ago millions were NOT invested in a plant of our own to produce The Card which would now be obsolete.
Production cost is probably less in Asia than if we would have done it ourselves. The Argentina plant seems to have be given up long ago.
Europe is ahead of the USA in technology USAGE, with Asia following. Note use of EMV technology. USA only now, after over 10 usage in Europe, is turning to it. And it appears we are being forced into using it.
With limited production of card, supplying customers should be our first priority. Later customers needing to wait. Europe and Asia will be saturated before USA begins to even think about using the card. The statistical facts of saving money on fraud by using the card will force USA to want the card.
If RS means reverse split then RS has only a positive effect in the long run since any stock under $5/share CANNOT be purchased by funds and some investment people....
Complaint about what? Did I miss something?
It has been over a week...any news on whether or not they refiled??
bilboo....thanks for the comforting words. Still seems as if my chance at a comfortable retirement may be closer than I thought a week ago. They say to follow the money...and I am right behind you and LMU.
Enjoy the trip...
LMU... Bilboo's response gives peace to my aching heart, especially regarding the MKR. I sort felt that was a dead horse. Got to visit the Columbia River Gorge next trip to Oregon. Stevenson, WA, on the Columbia River, is the wind capital of the world. Many wonderful hikes and places of awe.
...in??
I would hope the Administrator of this board would have a bit of compassion since many here have been in this stock for many years have just been greatly disappointed by the litigation loss. Maybe some room to share our sorrow...
Some having lost the dream of acquiring millions I would ask for some space to "talk about it".
