This company operates in India, helping drug/bio/pharma to get approval to sell in usa.

Appears to be a, winner in the wings.

Oh, and talking heads at "Seeking Alpha" have written many articles recently about yhoo.

I'm in YHOO, so been watching closely. Alababa rumor
is couple days old. CEO named Ma or maybe Maw. (can trade
its stock: ALBCF). Not a rumor; he is in the USA now , made a speech recently where he said would like to own YHOO. YHOO has about, maybe 40 per cent interest in Alababa. Supposedly, most of YHOO value is in their Chinese/ Japonese assets.

Seeking Alpha has been having many write-ups about YHOO.

Maybe bidding war could break out between Alababa and MSFT and a sale at 25 ... wheee

p.s. rumor was by Reuters: that MSFT was interested.

IMO, too. Gold is fine. Today's sell-off was, also, probably due
to investors getting a lot of margin calls, thus needing to get some cash.

I am sure that the FED is wrong about inflation (maybe not in 2012) but down the line (I'm just assuming, in my planning, that inflation will hit us "big time" after 2012) AND

We ain't seen nuttin yet in the rise of gold and gold miner's equities.

Augusta. Yes, but again IMO, Obummers proposals are needed and more and hoping congress will agree- we should have a nice 4th quarter despite Eurpean situation.

PPT. Beautiful, how the PPT (plunge protection team - fed/treasury), came into the market in opening moments, driving the market upwards.

Will they be back near the close, to save the day,if necessary? IMO, yes.

sdh.. Been trading options for years. In general, for beginners (and me..lol) its a losing game. I would say tricky.

But for starters:
one option contract = 100 shares
Expiration, as a general rule, is the third Saturday of month.
Call option: If you buy a "call" you are expecting the stock to go up.
Put option: If you buy a "put" you are expecting the stock to go down. (it is like selling short)

If an option is, for example, priced at .35, it means .35 (cents) per share and as one contract is 100 shares it means $35 for one contract.

Hope this helps for starters.

From my cloudy gaze: dollar should fall (there are just to many of them) ; inflation becomes a problem ; gold becomes even more of a "safe haven".

Concerning gold : there's the metal itself ; there's the miners ; and there's the political, manipulative aspect, to consider.

IMO, gold will always be a rare, precious element, to be considered monetarily.

Sometimes politicians will " kiss" it and sometimes they will "kick" it.

But it will not go away.
