? Why did you post "Mark!"
Is there any serious reason to believe that "White Space" could be delivered this month?
I'm sorry, I must have mistakenly addressed that comment to you for a snarky comment. That was directed to Deri.
What authority are you hearing this from? By awareness do you mean awareness about a White Space sell?
maybe the company needs a little cash. I'm beginning to wonder if any news will actual move this thing.
This is from the most recent PR: "The company looks to make a material announcement in early April in line with its strategy and achievements for growth and added value through 2012."
I believe the last PR mentioned a material announcement would be made in early April, so maybe we have something coming today.
with that many on the bid and ask, why have only 100,000 shares gone through?
I'm sure it would some, but now I am doubting how far it can take this stock. Who knows.
No volume the day after a news release. Wow. I'm starting to wonder what any news release could actually do for this stock.
White Space has a much bigger budget than those films, and I think you know that.
How realistic is it to expect the sale of White Space to happen in April?
Can someone offer an explanation of what was said about $500,000 retired liabilities. What did that mean in the PR?
I'm not sure that he is, but that was what I got from the emails posted on this board. What are the numbers looking like now?
I am almost positive it was mentioned by Mark in an email to someone, whether it was me or Skyrocket or someone else. I believe he specifically said that was one of the things holding up the PR for the merger. As far as I know there were no promotions done prior to the merger or since.
I agree that movement without promoters may be a good thing; however, unless I am mistake, one of the delays Mark cited for not releasing the news on the merger sooner was finding promoters to get on board. Am I wrong?
Well, the one movie clip I watched about the guy with the guitar looked like something that I could have made with a home movie recorder. I don't know about the other films, though.
Honestly, I think if the company would just give out information on St. James Films the stock could move up fast. Particularly if they would tell us financial information. Supposedly that company makes money. If it is true that St. James Films makes decent money, if they were to release information about the financials I think that would boost the stock; then, if the company followed up with big news about White Space, this thing would go through the roof. Just my opinion of course. As of right now I don't get this strategy that the company is currently employing of releasing worthless PR's that give investors no incentive to invest.
Epic Stock picks is again touting a sub penny pick for tomorrow. It'd be nice if that was for MIKP.
I take it Mark never responded to your email from a day or two ago?
Hopefully that means news is about to be released.
Aren't we all. So far it has been nothing but anti-climatic. I hope he knows what big news is.
Can we get specifics on these numbers?
What storm is this?
From the most recent release...
"Key executives for SJF to be announced in a follow up release soon, as well as logo/website updates and detailed plans for the subsidiary’s achievements and agenda for 2012."
Where is this information--it's been a week and a half.
"MTP and its partners have currently locked a final rough cut of sci-fi thriller, White Space, and move to scan the picture to digital format, after which visual effects, score and other elements will be finalized toward optimal sales."
How long does it take to scan a movie to digital format--anyone know?
I admit, there are concerns to be had here. I agree, we need real transparency. MIKP seems to think that throwing out PRs that are essentially meaningless to investors will keep us satisfied. What is the timeline with White Space? How does St. James Films actually benefit the company? Where is the additional information Mark has implied continually that would come out with the acquisition. It is frustrating.
Hey, I will concede that the lack of transparency on some of these things is troubling to me. As of right now there doesn't even seem to be a deadline for the completion of White Space. I am really frustrated that Mark dumps a near worthless PR about St. James Films, because there are no financials and really no real information on the company available. I think those who claim White Space doesn't exist and some of this other stuff is nonsense, however.
This is such a stupid way to prove a point--because it doesn't actually prove anything. Things take time, and just because things didn't work out a couple of years ago doesn't equate to things not being on track now. How many CEO's actually acknowledge when they make mistakes? Mark has acknowledged his mistakes, and he has sought to do things better. He has acknowledged that he is a better producer than business manager, but he is striving to learn. Wasting time pulling up old statements isn't helping anyone on this board.
I'm trying to be positive here, but where's the beef, Mark? I believe he said he would be releasing several items once the deal was signed, and yet we are here more than a week later with nothing on this St. James company or anything else. Releasing news about a company that cannot be verified as being worth anything is not helpful to shareholders. Not following up on news items for months at a time isn't effective either. Where are all the news items we were assured would be coming forth?
I believe Mark said one of the delays of releasing the news on the merger was getting certain promoters on board, and yet where has the promotion been?
look, there is nothing wrong with admitting that you got burned by the reverse split.
I didn't know that being pretentious could be perfected into an art form.
All I'm saying is that there doesn't seem to be much validity behind the chill process. Maybe I'm wrong. I think Mark has made some big mistakes, and I've only been around since Thanksgiving, but I do believe a company can turn around with the right momentum and the right approach--I'm hoping that Mark will start that process by releasing financial information on the latest acquisition soon.
I must confess that the one video clip I watched of a St. James film about the guitar player appeared to be something I could have made with my home video camera.
End of summer? Your joking, right? If the film is any good it should take that long to sell.
I don't think iHub is broken--as far as I can tell there has been zero volume today.
Mark has mentioned letting the merger news simmer for a bit. I'm wondering if news in week increments might be possible. Anyone think we'll get a release tomorrow or Friday?
I really hope we aren't going to be stuck with no PR for another three months.
This stock is dead because they released a merger with no information that people can bank on. We still know almost nothing about this Saint James Films company. It's ridiculous that they haven't released any kind of financial information, because that is what will actually make the stock move. Unless, of course, the information is bad.
Can someone clarify this for me:
If I'm not mistaken, Mark claimed that they didn't have all the needed signatures a couple of times, the most recent being in February during the Sundance Film Festival. The PR says they acquired the company in January. How is that possible without all of the signatures? I see that it says it was signed EFFECTIVE January 23, 2012, which may explain things, but I'm no legal expert. Something doesn't seem to be adding up here for me--can someone tell me where I am going wrong here. My facts may be off, too.
I can't say that I agree with this strategy. At least on the point of this new acquisition. The news today was mostly pointless--we know virtually nothing about this company and people lose interest with what they perceive as another dud PR. The PR and all relative information should have been released at the same time, in my opinion. I hope that the baby steps Mark is referring to doesn't mean a baby step every 3 months. If there is financial information available on this new company, why not release it now?
Some commentary from the Facebook post today:
Mike the Pike Productions exactly-- baby steps. This model will serve the greater purpose for the parent company, MTP. All the while, we can work to further enhance overall production value in the subsidiary's model to effect lotto chance successes like Paranormal Activity, Insidious, etc.
Poster: Will there be any further public information released on this company. Not much information in the press release, including, most importantly, financials.
Mike the Pike Productions Yes, there will be- but so everyone can digest, information will be released in steps. This was simply to announce that we have finalized the acquisition and it is now a wholly owned subsidiary of MTP
