Guidance for next quarter alone upped 17 - 23 million.
I wonder if our squeaky management will splurge and give a nice $2 or $3 dividend to us deservedly share holders. They certainly didn't mind reaching in the cookie jar for themselves. JMO
Not to kick someone when they're down, but don't you kinda wish you still held shares? Its still not too late....IDCC can go much higher. JMO
I just sent CNBC a email.....I'll post their reply when I get it.
Thanks Pouche. I was looking in the wrong area. This is really good to know for future trades.
Olddog, if trading is allowed at 4:00 why is it CNBC doesn't start their ticker until 8:00?
I use Ameritrade and as far as I know pre-market begins at 8:00. Who is your Broker? Never mind, I just noticed you mentioned your Broker.
As far as I know, trading isn't allowed until 8:00 am. I bet some shorts wish otherwise right now, lol.
Someone should call and wake up our fellow investors on the west coast otherwise they'll miss out on all the fun during pre-market. I, for one, will be watching the ticker on CNBC. Anybody smell that smell.......shorts roasting over an open fire, lol. Gotta say I'm enjoying this already.
David, I imagine we will see a slight uptick in share price during pre-market starting in about 48 minutes. What say you? Btw, I view this as great (unexpected) news.
How ironic with your alias being what it is. JMO
You seem pretty sure of yourself regarding IDCC.....hmmm, how well are your Nokia shares doing these days?
Some gaps never get filled. It's called a runaway gap.
I thought it was called "shorts roasting over a open fire", LOL.............what's that smell?
IMO, the stars are starting to align themselves for IDCC. But I'm not too optimistic as we've been bit in the a$$ too many times before. Me thinks the ITC is in the back pocket of the big boys. JMO
I would also like to thank Olddog along with others here that keep us abreast with current events of IDCC.
Thanks Mickey!
18 days to ALJ decision.
Sons, any idea of what our odds are of winning?
Didn't anybody ever watch the "Jetsons" or "Star Trek"? Sheesh, it's about time they come out with smart watches. Only problem will be the size of the screen. At 61, my eyes just aren't what they use to be, lol.
Jeffree old buddy.....you lost me with that post. Please explain!!!
I second that Jim. One thing that goes unnoticed is that David reads more data than all of s combined. Thanks Mr. Dodd. JMO
If you're short.......you better hope so, LOL!!!!!!!!
IMO, anybody currently short IDCC under $35 has balls of steel. I actually have great respect for them. Too many things coming to the surface right now. Again, JMO
So far it seems like fairly light volume compared to the rise in share price. I can't imagine being short if the volume were to spike over a couple million shares traded. JMO
Thanks Postyle!!!
BINGO!!!!
Damn, you're good Sons. Loop had me stumped, lol.
Ahem.....IDCC isn't a patent troll. They actually invent intellectual property. JMO
Thank Oldog. It'll be interesting to see what the legal expenses are.
Good news, but where did the $14.5 M figure come from?
I've read Alex's book and even tried a couple of 1000 share trades with IDCC some years back. Made money on one trade......not so much on the other. I never wanted to get caught out of the stock in case earth shattering news were to hit the airwaves, but as we have learned, that hasn't happened very often with our beloved flea.....IDCC. Been long for about 15 years with a base cost of about $17. At 61 I'm prepared to hold this stock for a few more years or until Merritt fulfills his goal of $800M. If he fails......well, my retirement won't be quite as fruitful as I would have liked. I'm glad I have other irons in the fire to help with retirement. Anyways, good luck to us all.......maybe I'll visit the gypsy lady down the street, lol.
I've never understood charting aspects as a serious means for buying or selling stock. IMO, fundamentals and performance dictates (or should) the direction of share price. I suppose someone who has their palm read by the gypsy lady down the street may choose the charting method. Those who follow charts may do better with OTC stocks. JMO
Yes, IIRC we partnered with Nokia for a short time while Nokia was able to steal bits and pieces of our technology. I don't trust them any further than I can throw them.
And yes, I get what you're saying. But I'm still getting very impatient with all the stall tactics and wonder if Billy and his clan are partaking in these tactics themselves. Plus, you have to admit.....Billy has been very generous with IDCC's money in the form of bonuses/salaries while giving shareholders one dime. JMO
How is it that FLY-ON-THE-WALL puts out a PR about the $14.5 million and our own IDCC public relations won't put one out? This is pathetic. JMO
So IOW does this mean Robert Stien will be assuming a role as a lobbyist for inventors of IP?
Sure, it's complicated.......but the fact remains the same. The more cookies there are in the jar, the more that Merritt's fingers are reaching in the jar. It wouldn't be so bad if shareholders could also reach into the jar. And, NO, the dime dividend doesn't cut it. It's time for new blood at IDCC and I hope they all get voted out.....actually, my thoughts are the same for Washington D.C.
JMO
Jim, this is why my shares voted against Merritt and all others. It's too bad institutions probably won't vote the same. JMO
I was thinking the same, Jim. The "$19 million" amount is out there. What else is there to be confidential about?
I just googled Arima and couldn't find out much about them. Who are they and what do they do? tia
David, maybe we should wait until we get a better translation before counting our eggs. The article you posted is fuzzy at best. JMO
I hope you meant 10,000 shares instead of 100,000........sheesh, you must think I'm rich or something, lol.
Lordy, Lordy......when is something going to happen with this company? How many more years or decades is it going to take before we need calculator with many zeros. Does IDCC really have the engine and transmission? Years keep passing by and the share price is still what it was 8 years ago. Merritt and his crew along with the lawyers appear to be the only ones making money. My proxy arrived yesterday and I voted my measly 9500 shares against all incombants. Enough is enough. JMO, but also fact!
