thanks, i guess, to priv mess. i dont have access to priv reply.
Myth and karin, thank you for pointing out the quarterly filing for S3 on the pink sheets, I had missed it since I only occasionally check back on this board. I Just skimmed the report and was pleasantly surprised to see the numbers in the black:)
I was also very happy to see the shares held by S3 in its investment co's now approx $4mill (per ibox) were carried on the assets in the sept 09 quarter as approx $2.3mill. If I read that correctly, this is is an apparent gain in the stock holdings of S3 of approx $1.7mill; for the 2.009 billion shares of S3 outstanding (per the sept 09 quarterly release), is a gain of approx .0008 and we are still trading at a fraction of that. (Am I reading those figures correctly? please correct me if i have made an error) of course this is only the gain in share value of stock held by S3 and does not take into account expenses or any other revenues etc. we will see how it plays out in the next quarterly filing.(which I will now look for)
I certainly hope that the share price will start to gain some traction.
good luck to all of us patient shareholders.
aml
Karin, with the frequent updates on progress and share holdings, why arent the financials more up to date than the ibox=June?
As a fair sized shareholder myself, i would feel more comfortable knowing the fundamentals ie O/S, shareholder equity (bv and tanbv)etc. I know you can only post whats available, but the company should realize that the shareholders are expecting full information.
anyway thanks for all your efforts, aml
clay, thanks for your educational charts and approach. aml
does that mean if you are a short term trader you should pay attention to the daily charts for resistance/support, and if you are longer term investor the weekly charts is a more reliable sign of resistance/support levels. or am i over reading this.
thanks aml
Have you noticed some stocks that reverse split do not reverse split the outstanding preferreds of insiders essentially multiplying their % equity. buyers beware.
could you please explain why you switch from linear price to exponential price charts and the difference in the plotted trend lines for resistance/support. why do you prefer one over the other, and in what situations do you choose one over the other.
Could you please also explain the subtleties of the different charting settings.
on the linear chart of KATX it looks like there is a
resistance line @ .10, whereas on the exponential you have drawn the resistance @ .15
thanks, aml
could someone clarify how this funding is working?
is the 50mill restricted share to be drawn down with each dip into the funding? is the 50mill restricted incentive stock to loan tranches of funds up to $5mill? have there been any filings as to the actual agreement of this funding.
I had buy orders for this stock for the past few days but it popped before I was able to pick any up and I am trying to figure out how far I should stretch to get in on this apparently amazing situation
thanks in advance. aml
I am looking at this as a 2010 poss investment. I noticed a recent S-1A and looked at 10K '08; trying to fathom the diluted stock picture from convert PFs, warrants & options= does anyone have a number? the convert debt also (?convert @.62); would appreciate any help.
also a thought: will the government control of gas costs cap the revenue? I recall CCGY (china clean energy) a few years ago had to change their construction for a diesel production plant to include chemical productions because the government cap on diesel fuel affected their potential revenues.
thanks in advance for any help or insight.
thanks, I like your thinking:)
I already have positions in chfi and jada, and have a buy order in for cgdi and for more chfi at a modest pullback level. jada i trimmed a little in dec. but would add back more if it pulled back significantly.
best regards, aml
thanks, just did a quick run thru the 10q & last 10k, and I agree there is speculative potential in both. I placed orders in both at a modest pullback range. xnyh in document printing which could rebound as the economy rebounds; and srry seems to have a slow uptrend in revs and earnings '08 to '09 i guess there will always be waste:)
best regards, aml
is there any consensus on the top 10 or so sub $1 picks going into 2010? (maybe sub $2.010)

who is using this microorganism approach to conversion of CO2? has it been licensed from UCLA (Liao) by a publicly trading co.?
thanks, aml
ps what are your favorite paradigm changers?
those numbers were based on old share count of 35.44msh per 10q, the recent 8k announcement relates there are now an addn approx 20 mill sh from conversion of preferred shares so count must now be 55mill sh oustanding ( plus the remainder of preferred shares to be converted at a later date.)
I also sold >35% off on standing orders @ .83 & .94.
where will you utilize the freed up funds now (pvt reply)
thank you
china stock picker, I highly regard your comments on the boards i've read and would greatly appreciate any thoughts you might have re my message #1399. thankyou aml
one question answered this am on JADA 10q; raw jade sales up 40% this q, even tho overall rev down, so will hold here.
Would appreciate comments/thoughts on positions I have in infrastructure and materials:(add, hold, or bail) thanks in advance
Infrastructure:
CSGJ- want to add, awaiting 10q
IGC-wts-speculation on India build out (3/2011 wts 1sh @$5==
callable if p>8.50 for 20days)
GHII-construction, ?wind power project in future, recent price
drop. is this opportunity to add or warning sign?
CHHL-very speculative, china planned develop Las Vegas style,
Materials
JADA- jade mining (bought when basing near .20 moved up, now
less than peak, should I take profits,
or wait for recovery of sector and further gains.?
XING- building base price around 2.oo+, p less than cash on
hand, new molybdenum mine hasnt added to rev yet. Would
hope for pop when it does.
Well I'm in @ 1.11 (order partially filled)
picked that entry as support line from lows of July, August and October on ibox chart provided some reassurance.
Still have unresovled questions re my previous post, would appreciate anyone's thoughts re those issues. Would like to consider additional purchases as china infrastructure is a
good area to be in. Any good investment ideas on other companies in this space?
Thanks
New to board, and looks interesting as per slides of recent presentation.
my dd brought up 2 questions:
1) one of reverse split in 4/09 and later issuance of 20.25mill sh common for conversion for old Pref shares that were never reverse split from a yahoo finance message board: (http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/Stocks_%28A_to_Z%29/Stocks_C/threadview?m=tm&bn=95116&tid=81&mid=81&tof=3&frt=20)
2) what are terms of attempted raising of $15mill and how will that dilute present shares.
thanks for any insights.
I appologize.
the pvt placement post split was 100k shares not 1mill sh
and the wts post split was for 220k shares not 2.2mill/
your numbers are correct, i made an error in my original evaluation of the private placement affect post split.
sorry for the confusion i caused.
what is the fully diluted share number since the wts are in the money?(exercisable @$12 for 2.2mill sh)
in stead of relying on the posts I read the sec documents as summarized in my prior question, so I would appreciate your showing me where the error was in the sec reports or my reading of them.
thank you.
the share o/s count is confusing:
last 10Q pre split:as of 8/14/09-split adjusted 2.364mill
9/28/09 $8mill sale: split adjusted 1.0 mill sh
+2.2mill wts @$12==total fully diluted 5.564mill o/s;
now 3.4mill addn for acquistion +200k sh(for 500k wt exchange);
seems fully diluted is now 9.164mill sh.
am i missing something?
thanks. I know, it's just frustrating to see the news emerging and sivc not really responding. by the way has anyone done a rough calculation of NAV?(approx val of holdings/OS) Whats the O/S count now anyway? thanks in advance.
It seems very weak buying pressure despite the good pr.
would be nice if the pps could be supported above .001 and then move higher. What kind of news will it take to achieve an upward trend?
anyone on this board get filled at .0001??
if so what broker did you use.
the problem is .0001 is bid, .0002 is ask, market makers keep the spread , at this level they're the real winners, because you cant place an order like .00011 only allowed to 4th decimal.
the only way you can get filled is if bid and ask are both .0001
you try placing an order to b@.0001 and let me know if it fills, if it does let me know what broker you are using. thanks
did you fill any @.0001? I had no luck
had orders in to b @.0001 nothing filled.
It seems like the market makers are the ones laughing all the way to the bank... .0001 spread on today vol is $63k + commissions
do you have a source for pink sheet company data other than the pink sheets, the edgar, and ibox?? would appreciate learning how you data mine for future DD. Thanks
would be helpful to have more clarity on present capital structure; Ibox shows approx 2.4Billion shares, pk sheets filings show 6/09 unaudited (957mill commonA, 14mill commonB; 10 million Pf)and negative -$541K equity;
What was paid or still owed for the sovereign deal?
at .0004 the market cap is approx $960K (1.5mill more than last stated shareholder equity)
I think there is potential here like many on this board.
new to this board, but seems already a 10 bagger since march 09,and question why the recent rise when the information page shows several years of growing revenues and earnings. what changed and why the sudden appreciation of this stock, and is the rise in pps ahead of itself? thanks in advance
I dont believe CHBO is the pharma involved in the joint venture, but it seems there is activity in this sector.
anyone have thoughts on GSK's announcement of jt venture in china for vaccine production on how chbo will be impacted?
does anyone have any update on the announcement of nov 08 to acquire/merge with china biopharma holdings? Is it still on track? (the initial announcement said close in 1Q 09.) thanks in advance.
As I read the press release,my impression is that one of Cephalon's conversion options(within 1 yr of closing) of the $15mill pref share is conversion of prin & accrued interest @ .90 discount to price at conversion with minimum # shares constituting 51% equity stake in ACUS (Possibly > 51% if the share price was lower than your example of .35 and they elected to convert)
Presumably the price will rise significantly if positive FDA conclusion, and they would then be able to benefit either from the license of Imagify paying ACUS royalties(? at what rate) or own 51% of ACUS at their option if within the 1st year.
If FDA doesnt approve, they still can apply as credit to future AI-525 milestone payments, or be paid off in 3 years by ACUS. In any event ACUS now has $15mill addn to survive and follow on with Imagify and other drug licenses..
All of this is only my interpretation of the press release and will hopefully be further explained in the conference call.
