65% of voters want buyout? That's surprising to me, I figured most of us would want the big payoff down the road, BWTFDIK?
Even though there's a holiday in Russia, a PR about production would be nice, just to give shortie something else to sweat over.
Great info, 2c & justifies why the board should refuse this last counteroffer IMO.
Someone knows what the production figures are & it's not being disclosed. I think they buyer would prefer it this way because shareholders would surely balk at giving the company away for .55/share when they are ready to produce big-time revenues.
That's very possible s/r. Who knows more about what is in the ground than mgmt, & why should they (in their minds) increase the value of the company for the benefit of a bunch of investors on the other side of the world.
Good, I'm glad you're gone...
Way to go, eik. This is the real deal folks- get in or lose out, it's that simple.
We are still getting plenty of attention, so don't be surprised if this stock turns into a serious MOMO play...
One great thing about the counter-offer is they acknowledged the stock was worth more than their original offer. So if they went up in price once, it can happen again.
50%?? OK- reject, 3.5 accept .5 e/
I think some MMs have loaded up the past few days & are prepared for a run myself...
.20 today???
Reject- 3, Accept- 0...
LMAO michael! You're killing me man! em
Count 2c for a rejection also...
Reject- 2
Accept- 0
Good idea, X2F100! I say we reject it.
Reject- 1
Accept- 0
It makes a big difference to the market, abbam. You can bet if a major producer were making this bid we would not be selling @ .12. Right now MMs are saying they don't believe a) the offer is legit or b) that a deal will be made. Any whiff of doubt for a Russian pink sheeter & this is what happens.
If Aurus countered in that fashion there's no way a deal happens. Best scenario is someone else jumps into the fray, which might/might not occur.
It would be nice for a confirmation of who the client for Kartix is
A perfectly reasonable counter IMO-- a little more than 50/50 split in favor of AURC...
Is Sokolov the offeror?
This is why I ask--
"The offer expires on May 1, 2007 at 18:00 hours but because of the annual Russian May holidays which end on May 9, Mr. Dovgan and Mr. Sokolov have agreed to extend the delay until May 11, 2007 at 18:00 hours."
I'd say the odds are 50/50 Aurus sees an offer from another party. That might be a reason that eik and 2c received the reactions they did from Katrix when they talked to them.
Katrix gets a percentage on the deal I'm sure & they wouldn't want someone else coming in to undermine them.
Hey ToTheBank- how's ETIM doing? LMFAO!!
Can't wait to bash your fav stock. Happy investing chum & good-bye
Thing happening rapidly... WOW
A bid war might very well be in the works, but I won't complain much at .55...
Thanks eik for your efforts e/m
Great work again, 2c!
More proof that this is all the real deal. Now if the client for Katrix takes the offer we're good to go...
Until the acceptance PR, we'll be languishing at this level.
You bet, retire- if they are selling the company they might as well go out in style!
Hey, Hunter-- how about doing one of those funky posts of yours with background tunes?
I think a rendition of "Disco Inferno" for the short-sellers would be appropriate. hehe
Hey AURC- how about a juicy production PR? We know numbers are up from the past release (2,300 oz.) If you really want to burn the bashers, let's start the party now.
MMs don't believe this deal will go through... otherwise we'd be at least .25 right now.
I hope they sold AURC short so we can watch the panic by Monday. Should be fun!
Don't sweat the divi- we get .68/share & a divi if there are truly 319M O/S. I do believe the increased share count included the 10% stock divi.
Besides, you'll have over 6x what we're currently selling at. Not too shabby.
Kind of a drag, isn't it? Make it hard for you to flip or what?
Another Bhubber, abbam. That board is just infested with bashers- it's worse than RB.
You bought nothing, easy. What a liar you are.
Your first on my ignore list today. Congrats
Was just PM'd by mod about golong @ the CVSS board saying we shouldn't have problems with him any more. Seems like he took care of the situation for us...
Pretty darn nice of him
You the man, dos e/m
Yeah, joe turned out to be a pretty decent guy. Nice to see how some things work out on message boards.
curber- IGNORED
Thanks, specbidder- I missed that detail e/
Thanx, 2c- I understand that Katrix Financial is involved, what I'm wondering is if they are going to become a precious metal producer?
It would seem to me that another group is involved the Katrix- or maybe there's something else I'm not seeing. My whole focus is if they have the deep pockets needed to pay cash for this deal- if not, then who else might be involved.
One positive though- I don't believe they can do a stock swap if they aren't another producer.
I don't think they're desperate, marc. If someone would offer 6x the current share price and the board members have millions of shares, .68 for a year or so of work isn't so bad.
Furthermore, some evaluation models suggest this buyout figure to be accurate given the amount of reserves Aurus has. It's not a bad deal- AS LONG AS IT'S CASH.
Does everyone think this will be cash only? Without knowing exactly who the buying party is, it's difficult to figure out who would have $220M to pay for this.
If we want the full benefit of .68/share it will have to be cash only. I wish the BOD would have made this clear in the PR.
I don't see any panic at this point, s/r. What the market seems to be saying is 'we'll believe it when we see it.'
For that reason, I think the PPS will stay close to where it is until the announcement. And although I hope I'm wrong, I see a deal involving a stock swap.
And I'll make myself clear to management at this moment- I DON'T WANT A DEAL FOR A BUNCH OF STOCK. If it can't be cash, I don't care about it. I'm not sure if Katrix is representing another party but if they don't have the cash I can't see why we should throw away all this value for a buyer's offer.
Gold is nearly $700/oz. Make them pay cash if they want it so bad.
