Sanswire2 is in Germany. Didn't you read the NR several months ago about the move?? Just so you now know - it was moved to Germany.
Yes and thank you and nilremerlin. That's the list I was looking for.
Destan, or anyone for that matter, could you please put a link ref GTEM on the Naked Short list, ie where can I see the list. I want to call the SEC and lodge a complaint. TIA
howwierd, IMO you read it correctly. The mere fact that they remain in business and are restating financials is evidence that they are receiving monthly funding. This whole discussion is just another attempt to cause mass confusion and doubt - standard operating procedure. These people have been forcasting doom for years now - GTEM survives. Geez.
mide - will this 3 letter word cause GTEM to file a correction or is it of less importance?
Yep, most likely only an "ugly step" in the eyes of those that want to see GTEM fail. It's a great step forward and I view it as beautiful. What these filings indicate is that GTEM has no intention of going out of business and that's ugly to many that post on this board. Of course this is all IMO.
nilremerlin, IMO I don't think it was a hint but a statement of fact. They have low, medium, and high altitude airships to test and will be doing so now that the agreement between Sanswire and Tao has been closed according the the NR today. Also, different tests with mission specific configurations will be tested etc. for each airship that gets airborne. So, the next few months should be very interesting as to news from the Sanswire-Tao partnership.
Anyone notice in the NR today the below inference as to "partners". (My Bold) Who are these partners? Any ideas?
"Sanswire Networks subsidiary and TAO Technologies, together with their partners and the University of Stuttgart, today announced........"
Nope - they are in the process of doing that, thus the use of the word re-establishing - but thanks for your intense interest in the well being of GTEM as we longs need your support to help turn this thing around.
I for one agree - it is sweet. At this point it's not about pumping up the SP, it's about re-establishing credibility within the investment community by demonstrating real progress toward the goal of providing a viable product. But you knew that anyway.
Yeah, but I can take it and enjoy it anyway. And their "closed licensing agreement" with TAO is a very interesting comment, IMO.
eqbeck, because the word "Autonomous" lets the air out of all the distractors of the Sanswire - Tao program. Many that want to see GTEM fail refuse to recognize the word and implications. IMO
kevinaok, take a look at Post #95252 - same thought and a good one IMO. I believe you are right about the Honeywell project.
I agree and I'd bet that we will see equity-based financing with one or both of these entities soon. Just IMO.
rwehapi2003, it may be that you were very correct in a prior post where you stated that it was possible that Sanswire and Tao may have combined research and tech to make the airship now viable as a commercial product. A lot of tech advances in solar, battery, and materials in general have occurred since 2002 which could only greatly improve the concept that was already underway in Germany.
The videos BB found over the weekend were not released from Sanswire - Toa. They showed a test run on 11-22-2007 the demonstrated control, stability, and ease of handling. In addition it had what appeared to look like Mylar or Tedlar skin as it was very smooth and rigid. So in you quest for info look at Post #95208 and click on the link. If you look real close you will see 4 solar cell panels on the top of the airship and the worker on the ladder appears to be adding another section to make a total of 6 solar panels. The SAS - 51 may have already been tested in its entirity but we don't have an official video released to show it yet. But you know most of this anyway.
I'll wait until you can go yourself on Youtube and name them for us. Thanks
Please name them for us - also the company who makes them. TIA
No you're not getting the point. Name a few rigid body airships that are remotely controlled that have stablity in flight. This is not a blimp, so get your facts straight. And this is a low altitude airship designed for low altitude missions. Get the point?
Good point eqbeck, and who would want a cell phone when we've had landline telephones for over 100 years. Geez
Baghdad Bob - Thanks for another great find. I emailed RB this morning and told him I wanted my SAS - 51 video back. No comments yet. LOL
PS: Hope that sister tree doesn't cause you any trouble.
LOL - Very good point Warp. Won't argue on that issue especially since I notice you are a Mac user.
If all is done on the up and up, it really matter not a whit how a business succeedes. If GTEM copies or partners with 20 companies that have the tech that makes GTEM successful, I could care less how it's done. That's how businesses are built and prosper - those that understand PRIOR to accepted tech "to get there firstess with the mostess and bestess." Microsoft certainly understood that concept.
News Flash - when you are trying to save a company in difficult times you fund only as much as necessary to accomplish that - then you worry about "the good standing with others". And the operative word you used is "alive", even if barely - GTEM is still alive and operating. That says it all.
Maybe you should ask Kostro about your concerns. You speak as if it is fact that he has not added funding - maybe you are incorrect. Someone(s) has/have funded GTEM for over the last 12 months. Got any answers for that? In other words how have they remained in business??
GTEM will probably not get funding from VC's or Hedge Funds as in the past. They will most likely get equity-based funding from companies that understand the future potential in what they are trying to put together.
Yes and Bill Gates never had anything to do with the initial development of the Dos Operating System and bought it after it was operational for a few measley dollars. The rest is history - not a bad deal, no?
Look at the third video that BB posted (#95057) and you will see on the splash page at the beginning of that video the date 11-22-2007.
Baghdad Bob, It could very well be - either the pilot or the assistant shown in the video. May be! If one of these guys is pilot1964 that would be known as a "reliable source" LOL If I had to choose one it would be the older guy as I think the alias handle might mean date of birth. Other fellow is too young. And "pilot" certainly fits. But just fun to guess.
Like Mt B just mentioned the last modified date was tomorrow Germany time. So like Mt B stated there may be an NR coming using these videos. Don't know, but this may be what that poster "pilot1964" was mentioning Friday to "hang onto your seatbelts". I saw a production date of 11-22-2007 on the video.
I think I read 220 lbs. was the airship weight. It was in the NR.
And the ease of handling seems to support rapid and simple deployment.
Yes it's great - and remember that if this was being done in the US we would probably be waiting another 2 years to get an FAA permit to test it. This must be devastating to VK et al.
Best video yet BB - Thanks again.
You make a good point. But I also think the restated financials are a consideration in the Wells Notice and once the restated financials are completed, we may see the dismissal of the Wells charges. Hard to know but I think that the SEC suit against JV and V indicates that GTEM may be cleared entirely. Just IMO.
Thanks BB - great videos of the SAS - 51.
What we are all observing is GTEM being in the process of attempting to re-establishing its credibility within the Investment Community and with the SEC. The way they are going about this is 1. Stating what they plan to do 2.Accomplishing it 3. Telling the world about it 4. Selling it. Right now the TAO program is an effort to show that GTEM plans to develop an airship, build it, demonstrate it, and sell it. If GTEM can do these things correctly, the SEC will go away, the Investment Community will realize credibility, and GTEM will re-establish themselves in Investors eyes. While these latest NR's are baby steps, it is demonstrating positive forward progress to the SEC and Investors. GTEM has no intent to pump the SP, merely show they are sticking to their plan with facts. They are now acting like a serious company with a serious IR department reporting facts rather than previous fantasy. That's why we hear about the facts AFTER they get accomplished unlike before when nothing got accomplished. Parallel to GTEM'a plan to produce an actual product, they are redoing the financials to become compliant with the SEC. IMO the SEC knows the overall plan and is allowing GTEM to continue to operate while they observe whether or not GTEM will produce a viable product that can be sold. Had the SEC seen criminal intent within GTEM at this point, IMO there would be no way that the shares would still be trading. But the SEC will most likely stick around until they see such evidence of some successful product sales events. So with that in mind, I view the latest developments with TAO as an accelerated attempt by GTEM to build a low altitude airship (thus the 10 day window to seal their deal with TAO), the latest NR about succeeding with their airship test, and finally a sale to an actual customer that will hopefully be forthcoming shortly. We all know that these are difficult times for GTEM and shareholders alike as there is a lot at stake. I suspect that the next several months may tell the tale about the future of this company. All this is just my personal observation and opinion.
One point to remember is that the new CEO is a lawyer, trained in such matters. I'm sure he understands the time frames and limits very well.
Because they are in the testing phase and when they have somthing to report, like the payload was successfully tested and flown to 3200 feet, then we will hear something. Until such an event, there is nothing to report. Until then, we wait.
My guess is that the testing started on Nov 22, 2007 and is continuing.
