JJ: I hope you don’t realize your mistake in a big way. That could happen if there is an announcement inclement from Tesla on one of the following:
1. FSD. I think the ONLY thing that may be significant on FSD is that the new version will not have BETA attached!
2. Next gen car.
3. Surprisingly high production data.
4. New factory
My Mac invariably says: ‘Your account is currently either suspended or you have not validated yet’. BUT my iPhone lets me post!
How can you take advantage of stock price manipulation? Generally, but not always, the sp of TSLA is lowest just before market open.
INCREDIBLE!
Not yet. BUT in my opinion, ANY high-margin business better not sit on its laurels. Either innovate yourself, OR face the Elon threat.
George: the linked article is OLD dated Feb 28,
I agree, Moon. By the way I do d not know the MM is allowed to ‘btickwall’ anything.
Reason I ask is perhaps we can form a group to break down the wall…
Anybody with level 2 quotes:
Please advise how many shares are in the sell order at 180?
What if it does?
Moon I worry about the following major events which could cause a major breakout:
1. Removal of beta from FSD
2. Announced of Gee 3 car and/or Optimus availability.
Moon: I did NOT ask what is going to happen. I just asked your opinion of what may happen.
Moon, thanks for your response, which, believe it or not, increases my respect for you.
However, let me pose a question for you (actually it is 2 questions):
1. Do you think we will get any prior warning (leaks) about FSD losing the beta?
2. How long before that happens?
Moon, in spite of my great respect for you, I disagree. RSLA, in my opinion, is down ONLY because of the stupidity of investors who are confusing Elon with Tesla products.
I agree 100%. I have NO idea why the sp is down again.
Moon, nice of you to grant us some of your valuable time. I am not sure what you mean by ‘liquidity’. I believe that is what Trump needs now, NOT Tesla.
Not U, I
As U recall it was 250k for a founders series and 50k for the regular ones, which would carry a total cost of 200k.
Please don’t all answer at once. How many of you plunked down 50 grand (or more) in cold hard cash to book a roadster?
My understanding is that Ford owners can start charging their EVs at any of 15,000+ superchargers as directed by their app. Does anybody know how Does anybody know how Tesla selects the 15k+
out of about 20,000.
Are the balance reserved for Tesla owners?
By the way, the story I posted a link to was referenced in the following story which first appeared at about the time TSLA took a tumble. Can anybody explain to me why Tesla is threatened by Figure, when:
1. Tesla has CASH on hand that dwarfs Figure’s raise.
2. Tesla has access to its own gigafactories. It does not need a BMW or any other automaker.
By the way, some of your u may wonder how I select the option to try and get.
1. I know the next earnings come out some time in April. I do not want to buy a call that expires before the earnings come out. So I have to go out to May.
2, My budget is a maximum of $3 per share. Therefore I have to use the 250s since the 240s are out of reach.
3, Does the SP have to hit my strike price? That would be nice but is not necessary. I would profit if the SP starts moving up after my order hits.
Be on the lookout for more hit pieces and/or misleading headlines. Make sure to read all hit pieces to the very end…
There is still hope. I made the order GTC knowing full well that the shorts will try again…
Alas, my order did not hit, but perhaps served as a wake up call to investors…
Mind you, that ain’t easy, even if it is the second or third time…
Reclaiming $200 now..
By the way, the ONLY way I know of hitting back is to buy. Since my funds are limited, I do not buy stock, I buy calls. I have an order in to buy May 250’s at an outlay of $3 per share.
What happened was yet another misleading headline. Please read
https://www.thestreet.com/automotive/bmw-tesla-elon-musk-optimus-robot-manufacturing
And tell me how the headline connects to the article,
In rereading my post, it found some typos, which are fairly obvious. However the post is also missing a link to the IBD story. Here it is:
https://www.investors.com/news/tesla-vs-byd-2024-tsla-stock-ev-rivals/
When I was a beginner in the investment game about 40 years ago, my go-to source of news was Investors Business Daily (IBD). Lately IBD has become as unreliable as the rest of MSM. From r instance yesterday’s story contains an easily debunkable falsehood,
The story says: ‘ The EV maker is struggling to grow with profit margins that are now in line with traditional automakers.’ That line not only p’d me off but sent me into a flurry of fact checking. Here is what I found out. Tesla margin for q4 2023 was over 15% compared are to low-to-mid single digits for GM and Ford.
The ONLY US automaker with a double digit profit margin was Stellantis which posted just over 12% profit margin.
So the question is why was the statement allowed in the story? Was it a mistake? Or was it Deliberately put in the story to help with the author’s point? I really don’t care!
Deep: today,s trading is a slog: 2 steps forward, one step back. I think the selling is being done by short termers looking for the QUICK gratification provided by crypto
Chk: why is AnYBODY selling TSLA today? Simple: they need the money for crypto!
Uber: I think you are relatively new to this board. Just a few tips:
Boston is to be avoided because he has a 1-track anti-Tesla mind.
The way you avoid somebody is by adding him/her to your IGNORE list. Click on the poster name. That will take you to the poster!s profile where you can choose to follow or ignore him/her.
Agoura Guy: Please answer your own question: How many? You may be amazed at how low the number is!
George do you think 2024 is the year of the robocar?
By the way my ‘good decision’ a few weeks ago was betting on NVDA and other mag 7 stocks in addition to TSLA.
Fung: now you sound like a superstitious old lady.
I will NEVER go back to IDCC again. As far as causing TSLA to drop in price, I wish that were true sometimes. There is a word in my language (Manhuus) that means a person who invariably brings bad luck!
My trading in TSLA calls the last few weeks has been disastrous. I hsve chased the price down from 300 (hoped) to below 300! Fortunately,
1, as usual my trading was just a few calls
At 300, 275, 260, 249 and 229. Normally, I balance my calls with puts; however, for the January earnings, the puts were too expensive.
2. I also had calls for MSFT and NFLX, and am still holding NVDA calls,
I am glad that you have made ONE correct decision. But I am sad that you did not even address my specific questions.
