Thanks. It's taking me a bit because your instructions are named differently in Mac. But I recorded a macro to sort (steps named slightly differently).
I'm just going to keep it simple to start my learning curve on visual basic. Fun so far! Thanks.
IMHO it's going to be minuscule if anything.
Thanks. It'll take me a bit to churn through all this. Also, I downloaded 9 moths because you had said to insert a candlestick chart with 8 months of data. So I grabbed 9.
Doesn't appear to work on Mac
Excel has a variety of candlestick charts btw. Should I use a particular one and should it be displaying all ohlc data or selected data (just close, etc) . I tried the 3D one btw.
Appreciate your time, I made a data sheet and downloaded 9 months of ohlc data from yahoo. Added a candlestick chart. Yes, a simplified version would be helpful. Sorry for the delayed response, I spent a little time learning about a visual basic editor to. I think with a little help I can wrap my head around that.
Yloader doesn't have a Mac version. I just downloaded data from yahoo finance and paste it into an Excel sheet.
I just want to make an AAL chart to start, so I'm just going to focus on that one symbol anyway. Would love some formulas, I can make basic charts but nothing Sup/Res or cool like yours.
Anybody around here have a running total on how much $ they have left in the kitty for buybacks? I seem to remember it was <1bil after the last Q earnings release? Am I right? Anyone remember something similar?
Like I said...
Overreaction to an attack on Saudi refinery. Like the worlds oil is now going to dry up.. (BS)
Even though the President already authorized strategic reserve releases to offset any shortfall.. But wall street hates AAL so any excuse to dump it... ridiculous ... Give it a few days to blow over.
Awesome and congrats. Hoping this will dwarf it as well. GLTU!!
Yes sir!! Good to make your acquaintance. Liking the way this one is headed too!!
yes!! Almost endless patience!! But it paid off handsomely! Nice work rolling it over BTW, I rolled abut 60% myself. GLTU!!
I've followed AAL pretty closely myself, high probability the reserve fund is depleted and whatever is left the lawyers will take, but one small payout may still come our way.
I’m an AAMRQ guy too! That’s what I was hoping also!
Thank you! That’s very generous of you. I’m going to digest this and see what questions I have. Thank you again.
Great info. Thanks for the post. Good read.
Thanks for the response, that’s awesome. Any interest in selling me a template copy of that Excel spreadsheet? I love programming basic stock stuff in Excel, but I can tell you’re way ahead of me in ability. I’m gonna wait and see if I can get $31 for this before I jump out. Just my feeling. I’m originally from the AMR days so I’ve been holding a ton of stuff for quite a while I just trade a slush fund that I have extra capital and shares.
Wow. Thanks. I love this, what platform are you using and thank you. I was planning on jumping out at 32. I’ll rethink that now and thank you again.
Yeah, it’s funny how it’s always something isn’t it? If it isn’t the max, it’s a labor strike, or a hurricane, or an airplane crash somewhere in the world. It’s always something.
Nice move today. I’m hoping it will break $30 at some point in the near future.
I’m buying. Go big or go home. Hoping Doug opens the spigot here soon
Video just cuts out at 7:38, any link to conclusion?
Phew boy!! This baby’s a turkey. Ouch, ouch, ouch. I’m so sick of the pain. Please make it stop...
It appears you are sadly and painfully correct
According to the latest Q2 report, they didn’t buy back anymore stock and should have 1 billion left for repurchases. Really hoping they open the spigot and start buying at these prices.
I'm thinking about punching out if this gets to $34 again. Always with the positive talk from Parker, plus a bag full of excuses, yet the stock just mushes along draining my portfolio.
Yeah that website seems to be dead. Guess they figure it’s not worth the time any more.
I’m here. Just seething..
I’m still here. What you hear is the sound of wounds being licked.
Everyone who keeps believing this is going to recover, and lamenting silently they didn’t sell at +40..
Like me... btw.
Your timelines are too conservative I believe. Due to the Presidents executive order reducing federal permitting times, these will be sooner.
Also, partners have a legitimate and sizable incentive to jump in for the state permitting process, as they will want their input included in localized construction permitting, techniques and budgets, as that is want the state overseas. JMHO. Might be some good news in summer.
Yep. Insane. I was just hoping to get 40 pps. Fat chance.
Well, Deutsche bank disagrees with you, and that’s good enough for me!
;)
Well, it lowers the amount of shares available to the open market for trading, so that in theory should drive upward price pressure at some point. It also lowers their quarterly dividend payouts, freeing up more operating cash, potentially.
When combined with their endlessly forward promised lower capex, which should do the same exact thing, and all of which theoretically should be upward price drivers, life could be roses again someday...
Of course I will believe that when I see it.
So according to the earnings call, they repurchased $600mil worth of stock. Assuming a reasonable price of $34 pps, that means @ 17.6 million shares less outstanding.
That’s something at least..
Yeah. I’m just waiting 3 more years for this magical capex reduction and realized synergies to push us back to $35.... Ha Ha..
Kill me.
This is just a procedural stuff. This is the public notice of filings of transcripts from hearings that were held. They redact certain private and financial information from the testimony from both parties, and then make it available for public viewing after a set period. This is just procedural for hearings that have previously taken place. Kind of like a public notice filing in the newspaper or something like that.
It doesn’t mean anything, other than informing us and the public that the hearing actually took place, and we can wait to read it eventually to see what the decisions were. It’s usually just easier to wait and see when the orders are posted which took place during the hearings.
Anybody have any idea what the fair market value PPS calculation is for the latest distribution? There’s nothing on the website. I emailed customer relations and I’m waiting to hear back. Any thoughts? The website seems to have it around $42-46 PPS for all the previous distributions.
This baffles me. I’m trying not to let emotion guide me. What’s that old adage, “the stock market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent”? I’m reminded of that right now.
According to the conference and their slideshow the other day, AAL expects 40% profit growth for 2019.
Hopefully that is the case, and this will finally start to revisit some decent returns. It’s killing me here.
I can’t imagine how he arrived at that comment. It says everything
