Has it always been an Annual and "Special" meeting?
Nope
....and yes Bovie is huge. The technology changed surgery forever. Sort of like anesthesia and aseptic technique.
Great info. I didn't no Bovie had a plasma device. There is another company in this space that a poster on this board works for.
Great analogy. That artist is a young Picasso.
I saw it on LinkedIn. I'm connected with Sherry Bertner. Maybe you could go and see if she or any of her staff gives you any info.
Bertner is celebrating their 2nd year;

Oh. Never mind. I thought you were referring to Titans press release. Yes it was a private company.
It's happened numerous times. Yahoo and Netflix are just 2 examples. Look it up.
Amen!
The more I read about it, it seems positive for the investors. As I understand it, the "poison pill" is poison to the entity attempting to take over. That entity could cancel all or some common stock and/or do what's best for itself, not us share holders. Thoughts?
Maybe they caught whiff of someone or some entity planning a hostile takeover (purchasing a large amount of shares) and they are taking the necessary measures.
Shareholders rights plan. Also known as the "poison pill".

Can anyone with a finance background elaborate for the rest of us? Good or bad for investors?
What a coincidence. Last night I was having dinner with a surgeon that was involved with a small medical device company that was bought by Medtronics on the condition that the common shares were canceled (not preferred shares). He was a primary investigator and missed out on $3 million dollars. Could this ever happen with Titan.
Good analogy. Apples stock price fell further after a slam dunk quarter earnings report.
We are near an inflection point,
In my humble opinion.
No. Just bought, sold and used the profits to buy more shares. They did it for me right there in the their office.
I have Scottrade. They are awesome. I have bought and sold warrants through them with no problems.
Never try to time the market Debbie Downer.
Titan Medical and SPORT mentioned at end of an interesting article about the evolution of surgical robotics.

Certain tasks and sub-tasks that are redundant can be programmed into a true modern surgical robot. For example, tying a knot. Instrument tracking is a form of automation and has been shown in early videos of the early SPORT prototypes (before it was SPORT). Basically there are certain tasks that require no thinking by the surgeon. These tasks can be automated robotically. I don't think when I'm tying a knot. An assistant shouldn't have to think when they're following the work space with the camera. Think about automobile manufacturing.
But they are programmable since they are not controlled directly.
It makes single site laparoscopic surgery easier but it's not a robot. A robot is an automatically controlled, reprogrammable, multipurpose manipulator, programmable in three or more axes according to the International Organization for Standardization.
He insinuated he would in his last posts. He has gone dark.
....out of the mouths of babes....
Early prototype Intuitive single site.
Very plausible. Single patient use instruments....reposable instruments. The message from the CEO.....and to top it off, the CEO is connected to DF on LinkedIn. Nice work....or did someone tell you?
...although I'm leaning more towards Applied Medical.
.....by jove Watson I think you've got it old chap.
We have to do the same thing.
Ok....that's it....you're going on ignore.
You think your slick but your not. If we cared about Surgibot we would go to that board. Oh wait....no one posts there.
You're not crazy. I see it too.
Agreed. Also, Dr. Fowler has very strong ties with applied medical. They have been making things better and cheaper for years. Trocars are just 1 example.
Just the ideas. Outsourcing redundant processes cuts down on costs.
Who was presenting?
I wonder who the supplier is.
Are we still on for Vegas?
I thoroughly enjoyed the UK game. I think next years battle for the Bluegrass will be very good and hopefully the Cards will finally win one. Good to know a member of the wolf pack will gain inside knowledge of SPORT. Make us proud. You can always PM in pig latin ;)
25 urologists in his group. They probably have privileges at different hospitals.

Is it in May or June?
