Turner involved with TWTV.
New Media Age, 19 February 2004
Cartoon Network owner Turner Broadcasting is stepping up its interactive TV strategy after taking on Two Way TV to develop a series of games featuring characters such as Bugs Bunny to run across its channels.
Turner, which also operates Boomerang and Toonami, will roll out several iTV games from next month, which it says will allow it to establish the extent of correlation between viewer use of such applications and any subsequent uplift in audience ratings.
Richard Kilgarriff, VP and director of channels at Turner UK, said the deal with Two Way TV represented the second in a three-phase enhanced TV strategy for the firm, which could see it moving with its advertisers into retail, through the red button, further down the line.
'This year is a big catalyst for eTV,' said Kilgarriff. 'The first phase was about making sure the applications worked but now it's about the audience taking the front seat rather than the developers.'
Kilgarriff said the first iTV game developed for Turner by Two Way, which launched quietly on Cartoon Network during Halloween last year, coincided with the channel seeing its highest weekly ratings in the last five years.
Although he doesn't attribute this directly to the iTV game, he said it was a factor that Turner was now keen to explore further, having contracted Two Way to develop a full suite of games on its behalf following this initial trial.
Two Way meanwhile, which was saved from administration at the end of last year after being bought out by principal shareholders Liberate, Scandia Media Invest and NTL Europe, has appointed the latter's COO Bob Schmitz as its new chairman.

Something is up with this stock. Time to watch it.
This is a interesting find. I did some research and found out Comcast has some ownership in this company. http://www.pinksheets.com/quote/news.jsp?symbol=TWTV
There is also a board on this site (TWTV) it has some good things to say. I am going to watch this one.
So you thought my post on front loading was funny? Glad to make you smile. My thought is from Feb 1 to Feb 12th, their was apx 3 mill shares moved at a average price of say .08, well the pump didn't start till Feb 25th.
Yes I did post that this stock was ready to run, but I didn't get in untill .10. All I was saying was that it seems to me the front loading occurred around Feb1-12, hmmmm, maybe I am wrong. I don't have any problem with this stock, pretty sure it will do fine.
Must of been some serious front loading in this stock. Doesn't take much to bring it down, but remember... It won't take much to send it to the moon. Patience is worth the wait.
Profit takers hitting this stock hard today, great buying opportunity, just picked up more at .15
Looks like some more profit takers, just pick more up at .15. Great buying opportunity!
ADVK. Profit taking, may get back in at .18 or .19. Great stock.
ADVK. Profit taking is showing signs, may get back into this one at .19. Ride a few more days.
MOTD, I found the shares outstanding. About 7 Mill, this might be a getting to a good time to buy.
MOTD, does anyone know the amount of shares out there?
Anyone know how many shares are out there on MOTD?
Whoops, outstanding shares on Bigcharts is not correct, it shows 1,115,000 shares. I guess this doesn't take in consideration the 20/1 split on 7/03. That puts the shares at 22,300,000.
ADVK is a hot buy, just got in at .10, where else can you find a company with only 1.15 Mil shares outstanding. This stock could easy hit $1. Buy now or be sorry! The music industry is Hot and this company has a nitch.
Beate Uhse interested in Penthouse (Beate Uhse will zum global agierenden Erotikkonzern aufsteigen)
March 3, 2004 10:35am
Europe Intelligence Wire
German-based company Beate Uhse, the world's largest adult entertainment group, intends to acquire Penthouse, the insolvent US erotic magazine, for $62m. Two US bidders are also interested in acquiring Penthouse, which employs 220 members of staff and which has accumulated debts of around $50m.
The Hamburg-based group is planning to turn the magazine into a separate brand in the US and Asia, which will open retail outlets and start offering mail order services. Beate Uhse is also holding negotiations with Condomi, the listed German condom specialist which has debts of 38m euros. Beate Uhse, which intends to increase its workforce from 1,300 to 1,500 this year, forecasts turnover growth to 290m euros and an increase in pre-tax profits to 22m euros for 2004. The group closed 2003 with pre-tax profits of 19m euros on turnover of 263m euros.
Only 1.1 Mil shares out standing. If this company can pull this off, it will take off. It takes a lot of talent to become as diversified as Advance Solutions is trying to do opening up www.Itsfun.com.
My thought is that it's getting ready to run again, since it's being posted on numeous boards it's getting lot more exposure. Large spread between bid and ask too. Fund managers are looking at this stock seriously right now.
Last post was from Jan, didn't want to mislead anyone.
NVEC announced today that it has been awarded approximately $450,000 by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Defense Sciences Office (DSO) for the next phase of development of advanced Bio-Magnetic Interfacing Concepts (BioMagnetICs). The additional funding brings total funding under the contract, which was announced in August 2002, to approximately $1.24 million.
This is one of the few companies that has a licensed technology that could replace our standard DRAM hard-drives. And where else can you buy into a company with proven revenues. The best part is there is only 4.3 million shares, not like some companies that have no revenue, no product and has 400,000,000 shares.
NVE works on the commercialization of spintronics, which is considered to be the next generation of microelectronics. NVE licenses its MRAM intellectual property and sells spintronic products including sensors and couplers to enhance data sensing and transmission.
Some of NVE’s licensees are beginning to commercialise MRAM. Motorola recently delivered samples of a four-megabit MRAM device and Cypress reports achieving economic yields and has demonstrated MRAM prototype
This is going to be a hot technolog not only in the retail level but also in livestock identification especially in the wake of the recent Mad Cow Disease outbreak in North America. Who knows, they may end of using it on the chicken industry because of the bird flu.
