ha it's not junk. Just varying opinions on the product. Remember, this product is BRAND NEW and there is a big learning curve. I got mine to work after a few tries and can easily use it regularly without any problem at all. Much safer / healthier than normal cigs.
Regardless, everyone is going to have different experiences and the current design is obviously good enough right now. However, companies must always be innovating to stay relevant so there is plenty of reason to get excited about the long-term prospects of this company since they can come out with always-improving versions.
It would appear the issue that most people have with the RE/AL is the filter which, I assume, is by far the cheapest part of the unit to produce. This means that adjustments can be made in weeks, not years.
New products are never perfect. iPhones and iPads are constantly updated with software fixes and even hardware updates (cough, iPhone 4 antennae issue, cough) so getting all the kinks worked out right now is crucial.
SFIO is getting its business side humming like a well oiled machine. Once they can get the RE/AL onto the market and get even more reviews through JV distribution, etc., the better!
You probably will! I know they have been busy moving to larger facilities so that may explain the slight delay. Progress though!
Soon. Very soon. They're busy moving to the larger facility this week / weekend. If we don't have a PR next week about menthol, more inventory, the new facility, JVs, or something else I'd be shocked.
It still may hit that .20 but action like that takes time and patience. Just be sure to read through as much of this board as possible to get all the details.
Indeed. We've watched the PPS creep up and creep down on very low volume days (like today). There are many many pink stocks that drop precipitously when there hasn't been news for awhile. However, SFIO is being held for the long-term by many of its stakeholders and has very exciting news coming out. Whenever that may be, it takes time to get all the ducks in a row, etc.
SFIO isn't a pump-n-dump stock like most pinkies. However, it's still a pink stock which means many people jump in for a half-penny flip and end up causing the stock to creep up or down a bit. Holding the 3s and 4s right now is all that's needed as the multiple rounds of news we're heading into (it's already been hinted at in past PRs) will eventually create solid bases in the 5s, 6, 7s, etc.
wow ever since you sold you turned back into a negative poster. it's very transparent. The product has been getting solid reviews as we've all seen and just takes some getting used to since it's completely new and there's nothing else like it.
Once SFIO is all moved into their new distribution facility and the website is fully stocked, we'll start the PR train rolling again. In the meantime, it's becoming a great time to start accumulating shares at these prices. I just loaded up a few more as I know we are heading into news in the very near future.
Indeed. Expansion is more than just a fluffy PR hinting at things that may never happen. Actually ramping up production and disribution systems is a tangible thing that is signalling that this company is on a great path. It'll be a long and winding path but they're certainly behaving like a proper and well-organized company.
It's already back to .04. Settle down y'all.
Also, most markets are taking a dip due to the Fed's announcement yesterday. SFIO should remain strong though as it has a solid base of long-term shareholders not willing to part with their shares. Just imo.
He didn't say "I hope they come online in a few years or something." I have moved with an office and it takes foreverrr. One week is perfectly normal.
Just to clarify: by overall financial issues I mean the Fed and U.S. Not anything to particularly do with SFIO!
1. We need a How To video because this is a different and new product / experience.
2. New and larger facilities may signal good things like financing, signed contracts, JVs, and generally very good things. A PR about this would be amazing but I can wait!
3. The first-gen product is going over quite well and desired changes appear to be easy to make in a few months perhaps?
4. Just shopped at BJs, they sell cigars and nicotine gum...just sayin"
5. We may drop a bit in PPS tomorrow due to the overall financial issues announced this afternoon. Shouldn't be permanent or anything, just a heads up IMO. However we only saw a minor dip and fast recovery towards close today, which is a good sign that the .04 PPS is forming a solid base.
Indeed. It will of course go up and down. May dip to .03. May jump to .08. Either way, the company (which is what really matters here) is on track and doing everything properly. They're one of the most legitimately hard-working pinksheet companies I've ever seen, imo.
Sorry to see you go gentlemuscle. Just remember we welcomed you with open arms when you became a 'long' and will do it again if you decide to do so. I'm sorry you saw some red on your portfolio. I know it can be nerve-wracking and pinkies are indeed a bit of a ride. It's like an amusement park ride sometimes.
However, SFIO is moving like a big board stock lately and isn't going to suddenly jump a kabillion percent on small news. We're all in this for the payoff that comes when the company hits milestones. That's when you'll see the moderate price increases. Until then, it'll sadly be a bit boring in terms of watching the PPS flop around. That's a good thing though as it keeps flippers away and lets the stock slowly accumulate a strong base of stakeholders. It'll take time.
All the best.
Gimme a break. It's obviously not a scam and you know it. They're very prompt in terms of customer service so there is obviously something up with your order. Are you in the U.S.? Did you actually order something?
Not trying to make something out of nothing here but anyone who has been following how the company deals with customers should know they really have their act together.
Ok back to work.
I assume you just like trees and timber? SFIO is simply trading sideways and, in real-time, is at .0410 right now. It's been bumping around between .04 and .043 today. Everyone is waiting for news or something to ignite either buying or selling. For now, low volume trading.
Haha sure. Actually it's just me pointing out what has happened the last two days. Nothing more nothing less.
So you're saying we ALL have the ability to comprehend? I disagree. Do you have a link to back this up? Approval from every branch of the government? Do you have an appropriate amount of bellybutton fuzz to ensure that everyone has this ability? Debate me!! I demand satisfaction!
;)
</sarcasm>
Looking forward to another fruitful day tomorrow with a low-volume climb in anticipation of coming announcements. Until then, keep it RE/AL.
They have some pretty crazy statements printed on all cig boxes in most of Europe. Been that way for a long time and doesn't seem to stop most from using them. However, it will definitely (eventually) be a big boon to e-cigs like REAL who don't have all the nasty junk typical cigs do.
Here are some of the warnings found in Europe. Warning: graphic stuff!
http://www.smoke-free.ca/warnings/Europe%20-%20warnings.htm
please don't tempt or rattle the cage of someone for no reason. just asking nicely! :)
I'd rather the board discuss the company and not each other.
Gotcha! Must've missed that for some reason. Thanks for the heads up!
uhhhh what now? That'd be epic if it's true. Source?
Whether you're a basher or pumper, it really only matters that you know what you own. As a long, I'm always happy to welcome someone else into the mix.
SFIO has proven itself over the last week that it's going to work it's tail off and will be around for a long time. The product will evolve, deals will be made (big and small), and customer service will somehow get better (not sure how as it's amazing right now). Between all that and the menthol addition, U.S. patent, etc...we're still all on the ground floor of this stock.
Glad you're a long gentlemuscle and I wish you the best of luck in your investment(s).
Oh I totally agree it crosses the line and think that the obviously baseless fear-causing nonsense should be dismissed somehow (not sure the best way to do that). I was more speaking about the broader need to have as many opinions as possible.
While I'm a fan of the facts and not random bashing / pumping, I do feel that all the users here (like those you listed) should be allowed to voice their opinions. While often baseless, I'd prefer to have as many sides of the story as possible. Better to know what everyone is saying rather than banning the bashers. It's a public board and anyone can come on and say whatever they want. If that's how they want to spend their day...so be it!
I'd love to just have a bright and sunny board that's blowing sunshine up my bum all day but I know deep down that it's not realistic.
It's up to you to figure out what is truth, what is fiction, and what is bellybutton fuzz. (Dalopey loves the fuzz.)
I'm actually hoping that the PPS doesn't skyrocket. Hear me out.
With a slow but steady rise, there will be fewer flippers and more people actually spending some time researching SFIO. That means they'll likely try a starter kit and experience the top-notch customer service. They'll see that 1) it's not a scam 2) the company takes this very seriously and 3) the product is a first-generation product that's one of a kind.
While it's of course not perfect (neither was the first iPod, iPhone, iPad) it has huge potential. Not emitting smoke is HUGE. It's the differentiating factor and occupies a crucial niche of the burgeoning e-cig market.
Once customers and other smokers realize that it won't be the same exact experience as lighting up a typical cigarette...they may not become wildly enamored with the product. However, as we've seen, using the RE/AL for a day or two often leads to users really enjoying it and experiencing quite a nicotine high (I know I did). Just like all products, it's always about figuring out how YOU want to use it. While I agree it could be made a little less complex in terms of usage, it is easy enough to use and doesn't require any market education. By that I mean you don't have to spend time and resources educating the market about what the heck your product is.
That being said, the first (not the last) thing that will cause the PPS to soar will be a distribution deal. That'll mean assured big revenue and will support a much higher PPS. Until then, I would think this baby would churn between .03 and .08.
I'm a long and don't really care what the PPS is for now. I will once the distribution deals are announced. Until then, a slow but steady rise in PPS would be preferred.
Good luck all!
It seems like most people really enjoy the REAL after they figure it out and use it for a day. Will be curious to see how it stacks up after everyone who just got one uses it for a day or so. Don't forget to try it indoors and make people say 'hey what's that?!' :)
Let's remember this product is a first generation and it'll help to offer reviews!
talk about cherry-picking information, c'mon.
1. This company is obviously not a scam. If they are, they're the dumbest scammers ever. Spending all their time doing R+D, developing a product, delivering a product, and planning for expansion. They'll make more NOT being a scam!
2. The share structure will be made public at some point but it's obviously not a huge issue and you know it. If SFIO diluted to pay for inventory or to speed up the rollout, that's a good thing. Companies do this. Especially pinksheet companies in need of startup capital. Better to do that than take on interest-laden debt.
3. We can and will sell in Europe. Hence the European Patent! In fact, it even states on smokereal.com that a rollout to Europe is coming.
4. Every stock is different. You should know just like anyone else who claims to do DD that all stocks are different. Their PPS is simply where shareholders think the price should be. Whether that's due to revenue streams, patents, predictions, or someone's bellybutton fuzz...that's how stock prices work.
You can yell at me if you want but I know what I own and so do all the other longs.
Nice day on the board today all. Nice day for the stock as well. Now go out and enjoy the nice summer weather. I know I will!
I think this board is seeing a slow increase in civility which is refreshing. To that end, it seems like Brassalloy simply wasn't aware of the U.S.-only shipping detail. Not a big deal. He's not bashing, just simply was stating his predicament. Perhaps Ken's e-mail got lost in a spam filter? Either way, sounds like all is well again. Now we just need to pool our profits to help bring Brassalloy over to the U.S. for a bit so he can get some REALs :)
Just a thought:
If this company were a scam, they'd be one of the dumbest scams ever. They're spending a lot of time / resources making sure all orders are filled, that customers are happy with their breakthrough product, and that all needs are being met.
I've seen other companies be exposed as scams (oil companies that never found oil, etc.) and SFIO has NONE of the signs these companies do. An engaged management team with a steady flow of information? An actual product? (this is a big one) A functioning supply chain? (despite customs!) Potential JVs that can actually happen? This company isn't a scam and we all know it.
It's essentially a startup company and they're performing beyond expectations at this point. The PPS will follow revenues up and more people will see this company deserves to be on the NYSE and not the plain old Pinkies. That'd get rid of the 'scam' nonsense forever.
Regardless, let's all have some patience. Do as much DD as you want / can and then just view the vast majority of posts on this board as entertainment. That's what I do!
No problem! Didn't mean to sound mean or anything. Was just trying to help. Regardless, it sounds like they'll be offering RE/AL in Europe relatively soon (according to their website) so keep those fingers crossed!
It actually states in multiple locations that right now they're doing U.S. orders only. For example, here:
http://www.smokereal.com/pages/Terms-and-Conditions.html
Our products are sold and shipped to customers who live in the United States only. We have plans to expand Internationally in the very near future so please keep checking the site for updates. Presently all online orders are for consumers only, and is not intended for resale. If you are interested in becoming a reseller, please email us at customerservice@smokereal.com.
On a related note, expanding REAL to Europe would be pretty big once they get their U.S. ducks in a row....worth holding this stock to enjoy that ride!
Can we please please please stay on point. No need to poke a stick at iHub users. Let's all simply keep the personal attacks to ourselves (heck, it's a TOS violation anyway) and instead focus on the latest pros / cons with SFIO. After all, that's what drives the PPS and everything else here!
Thanks all! I'm enjoying the quiet day on this board and in the volume of SFIO as last week actually left me quite tired. Alright, back to work!
As will I! Now that the store is online, inventory is steady and sales are ringing, I plan on finally putting in some large block buys tomorrow. Time for shorts to move over to RFM*. Go SFIO!
Source?
Just watched The Tourist with Johnny Depp and he smokes a vapor e-cig. Sure it's vapor but it really shows how this device is quickly becoming mainstream. Night all.
Past orders fulfilled and new starter kits now available! PR Monday (likely) and then we can all start breathing a little easier. It's gonna be a great weekend!
Closing at .0345 isn't too bad. Considering we basically just gave up the gains from yesterday but are still sitting on the day before' 30% gain. I'll take it.
Knowing that we're going into the store re-opening, potential Menthol options (?! Surprise!!), JV agreements, and more...i'm happy.
ha! if you actually read this closely, you'll see there hasn't been any dilution other than the issuance of extra stock MORE THAN A YEAR AGO. Any of this so-called dilution would've already had its effect and that was when we dropped to the .002s, etc. Get your story straight guys.
SFIO Math Is Simple.
Whether the store opens today, Monday, or late next week as some are saying...we're in for a steady flow of good news. I've never seen a pinky like this. The math is simple and it's the reason I just bought a couple more shares. Ok, more than 2 but still.
The Math of SFIO:
+ An innovative product that's been proven and exists.
+ A product that's been well-received and reviewed.
+ Increasingly larger shipments making it through customs and becoming available for order in an easy-to-use website.
+ Joint Venture deals and other partnerships that will mean SFIO is simply in the business of supplying and not marketing
+ An all-but-guaranteed U.S. patent to sit alongside their European patent.
+ A management team that actually shares plenty of information with shareholders. (This is very rare in pinkyland)
- Sadly it's still a pink stock. This means there will always be more flippers (like all stocks but more) and bashers. Sad to see some people switching sides and becoming bashers almost overnight. All I care about is the facts. Whether they're rooted out by pumpers, bashers, or others I don't care. All realistic shareholders should simply want to know the facts. Nothing more, nothing less.
= A solid investment
I did the math and that's why I'm a long investor. Can't wait to see where we go with SFIO!
So from what I can gather from these recent posts, the product is expected to be back in stock by Friday or Monday? Not having the 'deluxe' kits is not a big deal guys and girls. Being able to order the product is all we need to see. It should signal that the PPS and long-term prospects of the company (financials, deals, etc.) are safe as revenue starts flowing.
Everyone needs to have a bit of patience. Whether we go up a penny or down a penny tomorrow...don't you want to be in the game when SFIO announces they sold almost 200,000 filters? You do the math but that's more money than they've ever declared in the past. I'm no rocket scientist but since PPS is a forward-looking assumption of earnings, it can only become stronger if revenue starts flowing.
Once a deal is done (as was already mentioned by Mr. Roth) and they can actually tell us the company who is going to help distribute the REAL, we'll fondly look back at this time.
Quality companies (and their corresponding stock price) are not built overnight. Whether the filters are for sale now, tomorrow, or next week it really doesn't have a huge impact in what the company will look like a few months from now.
Stop sweating every PPS fluctuation and enjoy the ride. Also, I am a fan of CJ and hope you don't depart. While I agree we could someday hit .10+, I know it'll be awhile. Everyone looking for a quick buck (who wouldn't?!) needs to just relax.
I'm no Yoda but I have been playing in penny stock land for awhile and it's always interesting. The key is to understand that these stocks have incredible risk but also great potential. It's sure as heck a lot more exciting than owning a few shares of AAPL (to me at least).
As tomorrow's Friday, there'll be lighter volume and we may even slide as new product is not immediately available. However, once product is available, what's stopping SFIO from going back up to in-stock levels of .05? So basically tomorrow may be a great buying opportunity. Until then, thanks for reading and stay out of trouble.
