rocky mountain high....colorado, here we come.
how about tonights game dew? this one has got it all too.
how is sandiego?
woooohooooooo
very disciplined at bat by youk, and now it's time for the biggg bopper to el kabong one out of the pahhk...please.
schillings not as good as he once was...but he's as good once as he ever wuz.
trinity i agree that sometimes umps make bad calls...ive felt that way before....last nigth the game was so lopsided that it doesnt even matter.
either the rockies show up and play the kind of ball that they played for the last 20+ odd games or the redsox will have to play a lot worse for the rockies to win.
personally id like to see a decent series. not the lopsided game we saw last night.
as long as the sox win of course.
only posted that to point out why i had made my comment.
spring training is right around the corner.
as a sox fan im just pointing out facts...becket won the game and the redsox bats were thundering...tonights another night.
Not when he has a generous strike zone outside the plate
and a finess pitcher like Francis doesn't get the same
locations called....
Example: Hawpe called out on strikes....his third strike
he did not break his wrists, nor did he cross the front
of home plate and the pitch was 8" off the plate and
called strike 3.
Another example was Beckett's curve ball above the letters
called for a strike....that's nonsense.....
Beckett was throwing hard and throwing well.....
Had Francis had the same strike zone....
We would've actually watched a pretty interesting game.
this is a travesty, imo.
Consistency is what was needed and had it been applied,
tonight's game would've been something worth watching.
I am not so offended as Rockies' fan
as I am as a fan of baseball.
his detractors can not deny what he has done in the post season, so they reach to the past or blame some element in the present...the rain...the streak got cold because the rockies sat out too long....the strike zone was such and such or so and so...in the immortal words of todays youth...whatever.
meanwhile all i can say is enjoy the world series and if your team didnt make it, enjoy the post season.
gibsons 1967 season stats are among the best we will ever see.
it was nice to see gagme come in with a hundred run lead, i think francona felt safe giving him the opportunity to rebuild his confidence.
i know i felt safe, what with a hundred run lead and all.
great humor!!
we need this game to be called but hopefully after the sixth inning for the rockies.
i hate it when it gets this lopsided.
i say lets get past the sixth and then let the rain come down.
hey dew, are those them tree dwelling geese? i hope they are redsox fans.
so i had to go out to dinner and pretend like i was having more fun than watching the redsox....i come home after doing a great acting job and find the bosox winning ......yeahhhhhhh
congrats on the tix........wish i was there.
the rockies are playing winning baseball, every game a new hero arises to the occasion.
they are a solid team playing hardnosed baseball.
rockies v/s redsox world series 2007.
ill admit that you yankee faithful saw this rs victory over cleveland afar off, even when the redsox faithfuls faith was waning going into that last game in cleveland.
kudos on your visionary call of this series, your experience as yankee fans facing the rs during the season has given you clairvoyancy.
keep dreaming...becket will ride on the jetwash of the boston bats which will be primed with anticipation at the pump of another redsox world series championship...the second of this young century.
redsox in five.
fitting end for this series.
manny could have caught that one.
lol
pop the bubbley redsox fans.........great comeback this series.
cleveland had us on the ropes, they played a great series, they just werent able to deliver the knockout punch.
and now on to the colorado rookies, lets see if we can put their fire out.
that bad karma was so last century.lol.
its all about the present and the future.
does anyone here remember that old movie about a guy who made a deal with the devil and he became a great ball player...
this spot was ready made for drew to change his image in boston from zero to hero.
that was scary...a little cleveland breeze and we could have been singing a different tune.
come on drew....a little insurance.
we get past this inning and pop the corks fellers.
the orange blossom special of papelbon v/s cleveland.
the orange blossom special of papelbon v/s cleveland.
i think the redsox are going to need a big bat from manny or ortiz before this one is over.
my bet is on ortiz to hit one out just out of habit.
come on dew, give us your backgamon estimation of which way would pay the most dividends.
papelbon or becket?
personally id want becket pop-n-fresh for the ws.
pedroias bat makes such a huge difference to this team.
heck yeah...
jd drew appreciation night at fenway last night.

like i've been saying that drew sure can hit.
lol
alleluyah!!! francona got religion.
let's hope he hits like freddy lynn, with the ability to run the bases.
as ive said before, my optimistic yankee aficionado, from your mouth to Gods ears.
according to general wesley clarke, donald rumsfelds dept of defense and its office of special plans (osp) had it pretty well defined.
KIRKUK, Iraq (AFP) — Guards from a British security firm fired on a taxi in Iraq on Thursday wounding three civilians, police said, in a shooting that will put new pressure on the government to rein in private contractors.
